Columns truncated in report results page

Hi
I have around 20 columns displayed in crystal reports. However when i do run the report only the first few columns show up and the rest are truncated. Is there a solution for this?
[Exporting into excel i get all the columns]
Thanks in advance

Hi,
We're getting little bits of information and it's a bit hard to give you a solution.  Now that we know the problem is in InfoView let's ask a few more relevant questions:
1)  What version of Crystal are you using?
2)  What version of Crystal Server are you using?
3)  What are your printer settings in the report, ie. in Crystal Reports?
4)  When you schedule the report in InfoView, are you changing the Printer Settings?  If you are then what are you changing?  What paper size is being used?  What orientation?
6)  If you set the Printer in InfoView to the same printer as in Crystal do you see the columns?
7)  When you view the report in Crystal Reports, do all the columns fit on one page or multiple pages?
8)  When you view the report in InfoView, do the truncated columns appear on the next page or if you scroll to the right?
I'm focusing on the printer because that will dictate how the report is viewed as well as printed.  InfoView and Crystal format the preview to the printer's capabilities.  If you have InfoView using a printer that can only use letter size paper, that's the viewing area you will see.
Thanks,
Brian

  • HREIC Enhancement: Addition of SLA column to activity search result page

    Hi Experts,
I am currently assigned in enhancing the activity search of transaction code HREIC_VP by adding SLA column in the output table. I debugged this BSP application and haven't found any class where the selection of data happens.
Does anybody know what class is responsible of selecting the data to be displayed in activity search and how this is being transferred to the output table.
    Many thanks in advance,
    Larissa

    1) Enhance the component BT126S_APPT
    2) Enhance the view BT126S_APPT/ApptSR
    3) Add the attribute to the context node BTQRACT via the following method
Simply add the object_id field from the BTQRact node by right clicking on the BTQRACT atttributes folder and choosing create
    attribute.
In the wizard choose add model attribute.
    Attribute Name OBJECT_ID
    BOL Entity:  BTQRAct
    BOL Attribute:  OBJECT_ID
Hit continue and you are done.  Now the field should be available for view configuration and you would perform that step as normal.
No need for the complicated coding suggested above as it already exists in the BTQRAct genil/bol entity structure and just needed to be exposed.  I have done this before and is working fine in my production system with no errors on CRM 2007 SPS01.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • Report Result showing # and limited vlaues instead of complete values

    Hello,
I have a strange problem. I am working in BW 2.0B and loading data into 2 cubes (IS and PLAN). Over these cubes, I have a Multicube and my report is built on this multicube. The columns in the Report result show me strange values. For example the field Disposition shows # whereas after checking the cube contents there are more than 100 numeric values. Another field Material number shows few values (hardly 4 records) whereas after checking cube contents, there are lot more values present. What could this be due to? Pls help.
    Thanks & <removed by moderator>,

  • How to bring all columns in a single/first page in report painter

    Hi Experts,
There are 9 columns in a report painter which includes 1 lead column.
7 columns comes in a first page including lead column and rest 2 columns goes to second page. This report is copied from another report where all columns comes in a first page only. if the original report comes in one page then why not the new report.
Please suggest how to bring all columns in a single/first page in the new report.
Please revert if I'm confused anywhere.
    Thanks in advance
    Arabinda

    Hi Rajneesh,
Thanx for the quick reply. When I change the column width to 10 it comes in one page. But the requirement is to keep the column width to at least 12 or 14 and moreever the original report from where this report is copied having the same no of columns and the column width for original report is 14 and it comes in one page only.
Do I need to do something more to achieve this. My question is how the original reports data comes in one page where as the current report having issue with same number of columns.
    Pls suggest.

  • Data Mismatch in MTM Results page Vs SSRS Report

    Hi TFSQ,
    Thanks for your post.
    You’re using TFS 2013 Update 4 and VS 2013 Update 4?
Your current team project created using which default TFS 2013 process template?
What’s the detailed result page in your MTM, and you compared the result with which team project SSRS report?
These two reports worked fine in your team project before? And this same issue also happened in other team projects or not?
Please share your screenshots here, it will help us provide the better response.
Additionally, please manually process your TFS Warehouse and Cube, ensure can process successfully.

  • Passing report results parameters to different page

    Hi y'all,
I was wondering how report results (results acquired by custom written sql query) can be passed to different pages?
Can anyone help or provide me with a link which can point me to some documentation on this subject.
    Thanks,
    Cleo

    Cleo,
Do you want the records fetched by the SQl query available in other pages inorder to use that as a source for processes in those pages ?
One way is to define a collection in the SQL report page and fetch records into that collection on page load. Change the Report region to refer to the collection.
For example, you have a SQL report based on the query
SELECT 'a','b', 'c' from dualYou can have a Before header PLSQL process in that page that fetches these records into that collection
    BEGIN
      APEX_COLLECTION.TRUNCATE_COLLECTION ('REPORT_RECORDS');
      APEX_COLLECTION.CREATE_COLLECTION_FROM_QUERY (
          p_collection_name = > 'REPORT_RECORDS',
          p_query => q'!SELECT 'a','b', 'c' from dual!'
    END;Change the SQL report to
select * from apex_collections WHERE collection_name = 'REPORT_RECORDS'In any page where you want to use the reports records , they would be available in the collection.

  • Customization Form at top populate Report Results at Bottom of Page??

Is it possible to develop a customization form and its report on the same page?
Here is the scenario. We want the customization form on the top of the Portal page, and then we want the results of the query form (the report results) to populate in the bottom of the Portal page. The customer desires this so they can still see what information they queried on to get the specified report results.
Does anyone know a way to do this or has anyone successfully developed it?

The customization form portlet would need to pass the parameter(s) to the other portlet. You may want to check out the parameter passing portlet samples in the PDK. The Smart Web Services Portlets work in a similar way too.
If you want end users to show what their previously set parameters were, the customization portlet should read the previously passed parameters (along with the report portlet) and show them.
You may also consider building a report using the wizards. Components can take parameters very easily through the Portal 9.0.2 (Oracle9iAS v2) page parameters feature.

  • Linked column with # sign doesn't work in report results

I have a 2 page query situation, whereas in the 1st page I have a wildcard query to find a product number.
This product number is set-up as link to run a report which opens in another page.
    (Type is a STRING.)
Everything works fine unless the product number starts with the # sign.
I can run a report using this in a non-linked page, but it doesn't work in the linked page...?
    Simple queries
    Page 1
    select
    from
    Products
    WHERE (((upper(TOP_ITEM) like upper(:P1_SEARCH)||'%')))
    and :P1_SEARCH is not null
(Link on Top Item - :P2_Search)
    Page 2
    select
    from
    Products
    where Top_Item = :P2_Search
(This works fine if I enter the #[Product] into the text field)
    Link doesn't work...?

You need to escape the "#" character in the product no and generate the link's HTML code in report #1 directly within the SQL query.
    select ..
       ,'<a href="f?p=REPLACE(product_number,'#',''%23)
      ,'<a href="f?p=' || :APP_ID || ':200:' || :APP_SESSION || '::NO::P200_PRODUCT_NUMBER:' || REPLACE(product_number,'#','%23') || '"> Link</a>' product_number_link
    FROM ..
    {code}
    <i> 200 is report #2's page
P200_PRODUCT_NUMBER is report #2's page item which is set on redirecting to that page.
Product_number is the column name of column with '#' characters
Change display type of product_number_link column to "standard report type"</i>

  • APEX 4.0 Report Query column limitation, 43 column maximum for the result!

    Hi there,
I'm trying to generate report from Apex 4.0.1, but I got stucked with column limitation when I'm executing the report query.
    Case:
Environment: oracle 11g, apex 4.0.1, oracle BI 11, windows xp
Table: My test table is quite simple, by creating a sample table with 44 columns, the column name is random, i.e. column1..column44, column data type is varchar2 (20)
report query:my report query is also simple, by "select * from testtable"
Data: no data in my sample table
Error: then I'll get the error: "HelpORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small"
solution: If I shrink the table column from 44 to 43, then the report can be generated to xls, pdf, etc.
Question: Is there any column limitation for Apex report query? I know there's a 32k row size limitation for varchar, but since there's no single data in my table, it shouldn't be the case.
Does anybody get this issue before? Thanks for any generous input!! :)
    Horatio

    hi marko,
Thanks for the reply, but i can't find the 45 column limitation from report query and report printing. any clue for this call?

    Hi Chitwanjit,
You can optimize your coloumn width in the layout like -

    May be this will help.

  • OIM report / add column to working report

Anything that I have missed to do? We have restarted the app server, but it still doesn't work.

    Arghle.....
I found the reason for the blank result page with this...
apparently we are not allowed to name a resulting column in a stored procedure to USR_STATUS, silent fail :/
When I renamed this to EMP_STATUS it all works as intended...
    Duh!
I wonder in where it says not to do this...
