Combination field

Hi
I need the order combination field as editible with out the flag on, as of now the selection is of optional in field selections, this is giving the field as on and editable when defining customer.
Can any one idea of this field as to be editable with out flag on

Sri,
The order combination indicator flag comes from either Customer material info record(VD53) or from the customer master record.
   So if the customers master data was maintained with out the order combination indicator then obviously you won't see in the sales order.
      I don't suggest you to think alternatives to clean that flat other than doing it at Customer master data level.
If you don't want that flag at any customer then you can do it by MASS tcode. changing that flag.
           If you try it might lead to some other issues in the Logistics team.

I want to import two related fields to one field in the destinatation. This is linked to a look up table with a combined key.
Now I can combine the two input fields and map it to the destination field (two display fileds).
However the field mapping can not be done by automap, only manual mapping.
Does anyone know how to get an automap?

In the lookup table suppose we have field1 and field2 as the display fields then for the table define field1+field2 as the unique key in console. Next for the lookup table also enable remote key in console.
Now while importing clone the field1 and field2 and partition field1 using field2 with a delimiter as ;
Next map the combined field as you have already done and also map the partitioned field to the remote key(field1+field2)
Automap will work now..

Can "order combination" field be copied from ship-to party?

We want "order combination" field on sales order to be copied from ship-to party, not the sold-to party, is there any way to do so? Do we have to modify the user exit? anyway to do this, without modify the user exit?

Business has customers with different ship-to parties. Some ship-to party requires 'order combination', other ship-to do not need 'order combination', so the businees users want to make this field copied from ship-to, instead of sold-to.
As I can see almost all business relevant data, for example, inco term, payment term, shipping conditions.... are all copied from sold-to party, by standard SAP. I am wondering is there anyway to make them to be copied from other partnership, when require. I know we can do this by modify the user exit, but just wondering is there anyway in configuration settings....& without program change, can achieve this?

SQL Loader combine fields into one.

Hi i am using sql loader to convert a db from sql server to oracle.
my SQL Server DB has a field for the date and another for the time, i want to convert this into on filed called date. I cannot seem to figure out how to do this.
my ctl file looks like this.

But if i run this i get the following error
SQL*Loader-291: Invalid bind variable CALL_TEMP in SQL string for column CALL_DATE.
basically i cant find a way to do this to combine 2 columns into one and discard the one i am not using.
Any help would be appreciated.

You can load the data as in a stg table and the move from stg table to regular table concatenating both call_temp and call_date column together.
load data

Convert to right date format

hi
if you want to combine the feilds ther must be some logic in if ie you add fields or do whateever operations on them
if you just want to remove the null fields go to the query properties and there is in display settings suppress the null values it has an option of rows wise or coloumn wise .

How to combine two PDF files without consolidating form fields

I have two PDF documents with form fields in each. Someone else created the documents. Certain fields were untitled and thus were given names as "undefined" in each document. However, some of those fields contain different information in each document. When i combine the document, these fields mix and incorrect information gets put into certain fields.
For example, there is a blank field in doc A, titled "undefined." In doc B, there is a field with "johnson" titled "undefined." When I combine them, "johnson" appears in the blank field.
Is there a way to combine the documents without combined fields?

Is this the correct window I should see? I hit start and it said it was completed, but nothing seemed to happen.

Combining two source fields in Import Manager

Hi,
I am trying to combine two source fields say fld1 with 5 digit and Fld2 with 3 digit so that combined fld3 of 8 digit can be mapped to a 8 digit field in destination MDM side.

I am just adding details to how to combine fields in the import manager.
To combine two or more existing partitions for a destination node steps are as follows:
1. In the appropriate source hierarchy tree, select the node whose partitions you want to combine.
2. click on the Partition Field/Value tab to make it the active tab.
3. In the appropriate Partition list, select the two or more partition items you want to combine into a single partition.
4. Click on the Combine button, or right-click on one of the items and choose Combine Partitions from the context menu.
5. MDM combines the selected partition items.
6. Now you can map this partition directly to the destination field.
But as ur requirement seems ,u do not need to set delimiter.

SHD0 & GUIXT moving fields / combining Tabs

Do you know if it is possible to use a screen variant to combine fields from two screens into one?
I have created a screen variant for VD51 to make over and under tolerances required. However, I have to force the user to go to the detail screen in order to get the required field error. If the user remains on screen 200 the program doesn't recognize that the required field is empty. I had to also create a screen variant for VD52 because this screen allows create as well as change. For this transaction (VD52) I made all fields in screen 200 display only -- changes can only be made in screen 300.
It would be better to move the two fields and associated text/descriptions to screen 200 instead hiding the control icons on the main menu (save, back, exit, cancel icons on screen 200 are all disabled).
My question is:
Is it possible to move fields from one screen to another using SHD0? If yes, can anyone provide some guidance on how to do this -- I'm guessing that it will require code in GUIXT.

Following are the BAdI available. Screen Enhancement should help you to add extra filed on the standard SAP Screen. Look for the documentation of following BAdI. And see, which one suits your requirement.

You can search for these BAdI for documentation in the transaction SE18.. In the search help for BAdI's give Package as AI_SOLAR as the search term. And execute. You will get list of BAdIs in your system. If you don't get all above BAdI's then you might need to apply some SAP Notes. Refer SAP on servicemarketplace and get the note details.
Other way is to search from SPRO transaction IMG Settings suiting your requirements.

Combine database fields as parameter

I am building a financial report. Among other, the user want to select the report based on financial year and period. For example, from 2006 period 6 to 2007 period 2.
If I am going to use normal parameter, then records that having year equal to 2006 or 2007 AND period 2 to 6 will be selected. This is not right. Example, record with year 2006 and period 2 will be selected.
My question, how can I create a parameter with combine field.

Key fields can only be 16 you cannot exceed this. but if you have more key fields, you can combine fields using a routine for a key field
Max Data Fields - 749 data fields can be added in a DSO.

key figures are the amouts required for reporting, say you are working on sales data, then look at the report what amounts are required to get all the columns / key figurs in the report.
Granularity: is the level of detail you require, some times you only require the sales document level, other times at the sales document item level.
Unique identification of record: uniqueness of a record in ods is maintained by how you define the key fiedls in the ods. key fields in the ods are equal to the primany indexes on a table. eg: if you want the grain to be on the sales document level, then do not keep the item in the key fields. then probably company code, sales org, sales document and fiscal year.
affect on one level up the ods:
if you require item level data in the cube, then you need to keep the sales doc item in the ods key field.
There has to be at least one key field and one data field.
Additional restrictions:
-         You can create a maximum of 16 key fields (if you have more key fields, you can combine fields using a routine for a key field (concatenate).)
-         You can create a maximum of 749 fields
-         You can use 1962 bytes (minus 44 bytes for the change log)
-         You cannot include key figures as key fields

HOW should i create a view on these four tables .

my two key figure values are in J_3gversi , and 1 more keyfigure i will append it to my datasource on this view and the value for this will be obtained if i give 5 field values( from ANLC(table), compcode,asset no ,asset subnumbr, fiscal year and depreciatio area in where condition for select statement in cmod .)
to give these 5 values in the where condition in my cmod code for my datasource I tried to make this view.
i have linked
j_3gversi with equz - using equnr
equz with iloa- using ILOAN ( since my asset no and asset sub number in this table is linked to equipment number using ILOAN field)
ILOA with ANLC- using ( company code, asset number and asset subnumber)
though the field names are different for my asset number and subnumber in both the tables , they have same data element(component) -
IS it fine to join two tables with fields having different field names but same component.
asset number field name is in ILOA-anlnr and ANLC-anln1 though component type is same - anln1 for both

IS it fine to join two tables with fields having different field names but same component.
1.Yes we do this many times .We combine fields having different names but functionally they are the key values to match .
No issue with that untill they are in same format and you want to match data based on those fields .
HOW should i create a view on these four tables .
2.For view you can create view on 2-3 tables with matching fields and for complex logic you can populate additional fields via CMOD code .
