Combo Box missing in the output

Dear All,
I cannot find the reason why combo box is not coming in the output. All the other components are coming. Please help me since i am a beginner in java. Please.

How can I make the combo box turn to the value of black.

When the show button is pressed (and not before), a filled black square should be
displayed in the display area. The combo box (or drop down list) that enables the user to choose the colour of
the displayed shape and the altering should take effect immediately.When the show button is pressed,
the image should immediately revert to the black square, the combo box should show the value that
correspond to the black.
Now ,the problem is: after I pressed show button, the image is reverted to the black square,but I don't know
how can I make the combo box turn to the value of black.

Fill a combo box based on the selection of another combo box

Hi All,
I am new to jsp & java script. I have a arraylist of communities and there are 2 combo boxes meant for source community & destination community.
First user will select Source community , after that I've to remove that community from list and display the option for destination community combo box.
Here the problem is I am getting the source community value in a java script function - "checkSource() " which I've written at the "onClick" of source community.
Now java script variable has that community & list of community is a java variable, so I am not able to remove that community from java list.
Please suggest in the same.

In the project Servlet, Gson and Jquery is used. When onchange is fired in the first select box a js script method is invoked. This method uses ajax to get the json (gson is used to transfer java objects to json) data from the servlet depending on the value of selected option. When data are obtained the second select box is populated. Of course it might be written better but the general idea is clearly visible which was my goal. Hope this helps.

Dynamically change the contents of one combo box based on the other

Hi Forum,
I have a question which might have a possibly simple answer. Well anyway help me out since i could not find the simple answer.
I am building an application using Swing and binding with BC4J using JClient. My GUI has combo boxes, grids, editboxes. My requirement is that i should be able to dynamically change the contents of one combo box based on the selected item in trhe previous combo box. For example, when i choose a country in the "country combo box", the "states combo box" should show the list of the states of the selected country.
Now how do i do this using binding. If not, how do i write custom querirs in BC4J layer and return a resultset to the remote application so theat i can populate the dependent combo boxes.
I will appreciate if anyone can help me out in this regard.

there could be quite a few number of ways of solving this problem.
One way is through event handlers.
taking your example as a model when user selects a country you could fire an action with a flag set to ture. A method will return the states from the DB or your temporary files or what ever and then the true flag will be used in the states combo box rendering.
other way: javascript
this might be a bit clumsy as you will need the states information in a property file and you can get the info as the user selects a country.

Bluetooth Speaker sometimes missing in the output list

Hi all !
My computer runs on the latest version of Gnome Shell, with pulseaudio as the sound manager.
I have a bluetooth speaker (Creative D100); I can pair it with my computer without any problem, but *sometimes* after having paired it successfully, the speaker doesn't appear in the list of the output device of the Pulseaudio panel. I need to either un-pair the speaker, restart Gnome-Shell, or sometimes even reboot my computer.
It doesn't occur every day, but when it does, that's pretty annoying.
I've searched on the net, but so far I could only find people who simply had a library missing or so, which doesn't seem to be my current problem =/

Enumeration binding for combo box - missing feature

Hi,
In our application, combo boxes are usually employed for similar purpose as radio button groups: provide the end-user with an exclusive, static list of choices.
Unfortunately, JUComboBoxBinding.createEnumerationBinding method does not seem to follow the same paradigm as JUButtonGroupBinding.createEnumerationBinding.
In fact, for JUButtonGroupBinding, one parameter is "AbstractButton[] buttons", which is used for display purposes (end-user descriptions of the choices), and another is "Object[] valueList", which is the list of values for the corresponding attribute (usually, the valid values in the database for the column).
Meanwhile, JUComboBoxBinding is only receiving one array parameter, "Object[] values", which is used both for display purposes and for database values... This approach is very restrictive, as long as we expect to display in the combo box a descriptive text for the coded value in the database (and localizable, as well!).
Is this a known bug, or am I the first one to have noticed it? Is there any schedule for making this feature available?

Unfortunately, I have the same feeling as usual, that my posted messages are not carefully read...
The main issue was the comparison between JUComboBoxBinding and JUButtonGroupBinding, and my question was about the possible future availability of a feature. Nothing about this in the answer...
Could I have an aswer to my original message, please?JUButtonGroupBinding is a custom control provided by JClient and has an api to let a user 'provide' custom Button objects instead of the default 'RadioButton's that would get created if none is passed in. The fact that you could use that to perform LOV kind of indirection of displaying a value other than what's set is 'a side-effect' of the original intention.
FYI, we already implemented an extension to JUComboBoxBinding which is just doing what I was asking for. It is not complex at all:( I was only thinking that it might be useful also in standard...The 'standard' way of getting this behavior you're asking for is to create a programmatic VO as suggested above, with both display/update attribute values and bind it to the ComboBox as an LOV Binding. And yes you can certainly create custom controls extending Swing and use the existing bindings or 'extend' them as per an application need.

Problem in populating 2nd combo box depending upon the selection of 1st

I have 2 combo boxes on my jsp page ,say continent and country . obviously the data in 2nd box is dependant on selection made in the 1st . I'm using MySQL with tomcat 5.0.7 . and JSP.
The first combo box in one form and the 2nd in another. After submitting first i 'm populating the second combo also.
But the problem is after submitting the first form the page gets refreshing and i can't see the selected continent in the first combo box.

House number is missing in the output

Write Off FP04 & FP04M - Check Box missing in the screen

Hi SAP Experts,
I have noticed something was missing in FP04 and FP04M screens. Do you have any idea how I could activate the check box for "Release items for submission to Collection Agencies".
I would need this option to get the collection agency assigned for each written off items during in write off process.

[CS2 AS] Export as Jpeg... image missing in the output.

Hi,
I'm using alot the export as jpeg feature as a validation helper while doing batch processing (for quality output, i have used export as pdf and rasterisation in photoshop... require more processing, but it give more reliable output).
So with the base export, i'm having a odd problem where on other machine the some images are not exported appropriately (some appear with a white strippe and other completely blank).
I have not found documentation on this but i'm pretty sure that the export is done from a low-res preview, so i suspect that that my script processing make the export before indesign has completed some document display refresh.
I tought that i could use a arbitrary delay, but i find this solution quite inconvenient as it make the process slower and not completely deterministic.
Is there a equivalent call to "recompose" that would let me be sure to call the export when the display refresh of the document is done? (if i remember well, i have tried forcing the document quality display to maximum).

Issue in rdf output --getting square boxes in the output

Hi All,
I am facing an issue in the report output ...
'Square box ' are getting printed in the output along with data.
Can any one of you please let me know if any one solved such issue before???

Jana,
This is caused (as was said in one of the answers) by a frame of some kind which has a black outline. Run the Report from the Report Builder and look at the
previewer output. See where the box is in the output, go to it and change the outline to white.

Problem in refreshing the combo box on selection of an item in another comb

I have a situation where values to be displayed in 2nd combo box depends on the selection of an item from the 1st combo box.
Problem observed:
The 2nd combo box is not getting refreshed if the selected item from the 1st combo box has mapping to more than 10 items.
for ex:
A - AA, AB, AC, AD, AE, AF
B - BA, BB, BC, BD, BE, BF, BG, BH, BI, BJ, BK, BL, BM, BN, BO, BP
C - CA, CB, CC
D - DA, DB, DC, DD
1st combo box list:

2nd combo box list:
If the value selected from the first combo box is A, C, or D then 2nd combo box refreshes with repective values. But when the value selected is B, then 2nd combo box is not getting refreshed with respective values.

the very simple strategy to do is to call removeAllItems() method for the 2nd combox box and then insert the contents. this is because the validate() method is not repeatedly called and so the contents are not updated immediately.

Problem with combo boxes and the reset button in certain situations

Hi Everyone,
i have a problem to make the reset-button function properly in an what-if analysis dashboard.
The dashboard uses two combo boxes that are not visible at the same time. In my application the second combo box only appears when a dedicated menu (label based menu button) has been activated.
So i have combo box 1 when menu A is active an dand combo box 2 when menu 2 is active.
After starting the dashboard initial values are fine. If you then directly change to menu 2 (seeing combo box 2 with
the correct default value) and press the reset button, the dashboard returns to the initial view, showing
the menu 1 with the correct default value. If you now switch back to menu 2, you will see, that the combo box 2
is empty (i.e. nothing selected).
I also tracked the destination cells for the combo box value results as well as the source cells for the "selected item" and the
destination cells for the "Insert Selected Item". All this values seem to be correct. Therefore i assume that
this is an issue of event handling. Maybe the combo box 2 does not refresh its selected value because it is already
invisible when the values are restored.
This case can easily be simulated by placing two combo boxes and a push button (that changes the visibility of
the combo boxes) and the reset button on the canvas.
Maybe someone can help. I am able to provide a test xlf, if neccessary.

thank you for your support. At the moment i have the following setting:
label based menu
- General: Insertion Type "value" from a list of ID's for the menu-items to a dedicated cell (current menu ID, say tab1!$A$1)
- Behavior: Selected item (position) fixted to item 1
hidden combo box
- General: Insertion Type "position" to a dedicated cell with the current choice (say tab1!$B$1)
- Behavior: Selected item (position) to the same cell (tab1!$B$1)
Can you give me a hint on how to connect the two components according to your solution, so that the label based menu sets the default for the hidden combox box only in case, that the reset button is pressed?

I need help, retrieving a combo boxes actual value, not the export value.
I have a combo box with multiple options to select from.
each of those selections has a separate export value, which is in the form of a number, which I use to calculate dates in a separate field.
However, I have another field that i want to retrieve the, users selected value, which is text, from the combo box instead of the export value.
Is there an easy way to do this.
This is what I am currently using. But like I said the results are that I retrieve the export value and not the selected text value.

First get the currentValueIndices property of the combo box and use it with the getItemAt field method to return (what I call) the display value. Something like:
