ComboBoxGridItemEditor width

I'm using a ComboBoxGridItemEditor inside a spark datagrid.
The width of the popup that ComboBoxGridItemEditor opens has the same width of the datagrid column that contains it.
Is it possible to detach the width of ComboBoxGridItemEditor popup from the column width? Make it a fixed width or a custom width based on data length?

The question is not the margin. I put in the body margin: 0; padding:0; and there is no margin.
I want to know the viewport: the width and height with the iPad in horizontal position and without the address bar.
This does not coincide with the 1024 x 768. (nor the 946 x 768 if I rest the address bar). I don't understand why

Spry menu bar woes (add submenu levels and edit width)

So i need some spry menu bar help. Apparently as a graphic designer i'm also expected to webdesign, and while i can solve most problems with a good googling, i seem to be at my wit's end fo this one. So the site i'm doing has a header ith a horizontal spry pop-up menubar (in Dreamweaver CS4). But some problems arise: when i manually add another submenu level, they don't show up in chrome or FF, they do werk perfectly in IE6. I just add the following code to the codepage:

Field width in ALV report

Hi,
How to increase the field width of a field in ALV report.
I mean, in a ALV report, the field description of a field is not showing correctly. IF i try to extend the field width by the mouse/coursor, it displays the correct description.
IS there any way where for displaying the field description correctly?

Print the report on page has width larger than height and not landscape mode

Hi,
I'm trying to print report on page (Width: 18cm, Height: 13cm) which the width larger than the height.
The problem is windows keeps changing the page oreintation to landscape and when I change it back to portrait its changing the width to 13cm and height to 18cm.
I'm using dot matrix printer to print the report, if i put Landscape , printer is printing the text in horizontal.
Already i have tried to setup the custom for on printer, and used custom page size but it is changing to landscape.
I need to print the report with out preview, direct print top printer, NO PDF....

After testing the issue in my environment, I can reproduce it. When I set (Width: 18cm, Height: 13cm) as the Report Page size, it would automatically convert Orientation from Portrait to Landscape. Because the Orientation displayed is dependent on the page
width and page height of the report.
But in my scenario, the Orientation option just change the Width and Height sizes, it couldn’t affect the text rotation. I guess this issue can be caused by the printer and printer driver, please try to update them. Reference:

In Sales Order changing the column width to see all item desciption?

When in the sales order screen .
Expand the column width of say the item description.
How do I save the column width for all the sales documents for the field item description in sales order ?

Hi,
The column width of the Document will be defaulted to the same size at which the user has saved the last document.
So, if a user has saved the Sales Order with a big column width for the 'Item Description' then after saving and re-entering into the Sales Order, the user can see the same column width for all the Sales Order's.

In Pages 5.2, how does one set different page widths (margins) in different sections?

You can't. Margins apply to the entire document.
What you can do is set the margins to their max width and then use left and right indents for the sections you want narrower.

If you're going for a 800px wide window browser, then it would need to be 760-780px wide, not 800px - need to take into account the scrollbar / chrome area of the browser :-)
If you are looking at a 1024px wide window, then 980px wide is recommended.
As to the original question - the link Kath provided is a good one.
What you need to consider is the demographics of your viewing/browsing audience. For example if the site is aimed at the more technically minded, then they are more likely to be using the latest computer equipment which means larger monitors, so your design can be created using a wider width.
If the client base is more mom and pop type customers - who may not update their computer hardware very often, then you may need to consider the narrower window size. If you are targetting people who are located in areas where the internet connection is slower, then that has to bve taken into consideration as well. Best place to check is your site statistics to access this type of data, which may help yo determine what may be the optimum size for your website.

How to make a JPanel containing buttons take up the width of the window?

I'm creating a GUI and I have a button group that I want to be the width of the window. I have another JPanel on the same window that doesn't have a button group in it and it takes up the width of the window. I don't think I'm doing anything differently creating the two, but I need consistency.
The best way I can explain this is with code, so I created an example of what I am doing here:

You see how on the bottom, "Status" JPanel takes up the entire width of the window? When the window is resized, the border is also resized. I would love to have the top "Create" JPanel have the same behavior. How do I do this?

It can get confusing when using the BoxLayout. The box layout takes into consideration the X alignment of the components as well as the minimum and maximum lengths.
So I suggest you read the Swing tutorial on [url http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/layout/box.html]How to Use Box Layout for examples and explanations on how these values are used in the layout process.
It may be easier to use a BorderLayout for the high level layout manger, since it will resize a components width when added to the NORTH, CENTER or SOUTH.

The first library has all of my stored data. How do I transfer this data to my new itunes library? . I cannot use the cloud as my data plan has a limited band width cap ( I live in rural Alberta , northern).My library may be on my tera drive, but then how do i delete this library once I transfer the files, that is if i am able to locate them ? this is a question for all itunes lovers, I love it when i know how to use it, so far not computer literate to loving it! thanks so very much for considering this problem.

Text wrap for a paragraph: How to define the width of a Text box / active text area? I simply need a longish text to wrap within the frame!

Hello, I've been searching for a good while in the forums now, but have found no solution or real mention of the problem – I hope some of you can help.
I want to very simply layout a text between scenes, a slightly longer text that wraps within the frame margins. Here's an example of how I want it to look:
Now, I couldn't for the life of me get the Custom Text to behave like that, as there are no parameters to set for the width of the text area. The Text Size, yes, along with the Tracking, Baseline and all that, but the width of the text box, no. The above was created by customizing one of the other Text Generator presets that happened to be left aligned.
However, this preset has a fade in/fade out transition, which I do not want. There's no way to remove this transition as it seems integrated into the Text Generator (meaning they are not really presets, but separate kinds of Text objects? Very silly.)
So I am asking you: Is there any way to get the Custom Text generator to behave like that? Just a text paragraph as above. Below you'll see all I can manage with the diffferent Custom Text parameters. Any kind of repositioning and resizing of the text just changes the position and size of the frame – but the actual text items are just cropped off where they extend out of that frame. Apparently the bounding box for the text is just some default length, and I can't find any way to adjust the width. See below my different attempts.
The same text pasted into a Custom Text generator clearly extends outside the frame:
Here Transform just moves – or resizes – the video frame that the Text Box exists inside:
The Crop gives similar results, and of course Distort doesn't get me closer to what I need, either. There should be simply a Text Box Width parameter to set somewhere, but if it exists they have hidden it very well. How do you do it?
Thanks for any help, this is a silly problem, but one of now many trivial problems that amount to me growing quite dissatisfied with FCPX. Hopefully I've just overlooked something.

Thomas...same kind of crap here.
I used Custom Text - entered a sentence, hit return, entered another.
Set to 72 pt.
The default alignment is centred - I want left aligned text...the text start point stays at the centre of frame and the sentence runs off the edge of the bounding box.
There is no settings in the Text or Title inspector dialog to correct that!
Using Transform will not sort it!

Hi,
What ever text you are sending in the email, create a standard text for it using tcode SO10. In the program use the FM READ_TEXT to get the data into internal table which will be of length 132 char. If you want line widht of 255 chars convert using FM SX_TABLE_LINE_WIDTH_CHANGE as below,

I animated the edge file so that it's responsive to the width of the browser. It works in Edge when I preview & published, but when I placed the oam file into Muse it doesn't have that ability.

Try to put your animations inside the new frame, and the frame to stretch the entire width of the template in Adobe Muse (until the red line). In addition, test page only in browsers, since I've noticed that myself Adobe Muse is not properly display such content. Unfortunately, I do not have an example of solutions to your problem, but maybe you'll find something interesting in the pages of adobe muse market! Thank you!

I need to obtain an image's attributes such as dimensions (height, width in pixels) without placing image in indesign document.
I have full path of the image (say abc.jpg is stored at c:\my pic\abc.jpg).
I have obtained the IDFile for this image, tried getting size using GetFileSize() which correctly return size in bytes.
Is there any way to get the height/width of image without importing it in the indesign document.
Please, give me some hints. I have spent quite a lot time digging in CHM. I have searched in FileUtils, IDFile API's but found no method which serves this purpose.
At this point I am clueless where to search next.
Any help will be appriciated.
Just a point to mention, I am able to get image height and width for an image in indesign doc though Its not my requirement.

You might be able to examine the contents of the PlaceGun after calling kImportAndLoadPlaceGunCmdBoss without actually placing the image in a document. Not sure, but would be worth looking at.
Otherwise you will probably have to write platform specific code, ideally with a generic platform-independant wrapper (see SDKSamples/paneltreeview/PlatformFileSystemIterator).
For the Mac, look at CGImageGetWidth() etc., not sure what the best option is for windows.
Perhaps Quicktime could provide you with a platform independant solution.

156" width Crystal Report with Visual Studio 2005

I have a requirement to design a 156" width report (for exporting to Excel). And naturally i dont have printers to support this huge width reports (as these reports are not used for printing but just for exporting to Excel).
One of the option which i have tried to design these reports is -
- Installed MIcrosoft XPS Document writer and
- Created a new server form (in Printers&Faxes>File>Server Properties) and assigned my custom width & Height for the paper size as per my requirement
- Used this printer and form in my crystal report
Now, my question... is there any better alternative or option to design huge width Crystal reports in Visual studio 2005? Any help in this regard is highly appreciated!

Hi Ganesh,
So it all depends on how you created your WEB Project. If it was a CR Web App then no issues, if it was a WEB Form app then no issues except you need to copy the whole folder: C:\inetpub\wwwroot\VS2013WebsiteCR\aspnet_client
to your app folder, maybe...
If it was an empty WEB app then it may be an issue with permissions ( more on this soon once we do some testing, R&D may have provided a work around to get IIS Express to work, not sure about using IIS directly.
Also search on Sessions and PostBacks, to get the second page you need to keep the session open/active. If not you may get nothing ot the same page everytime.
