Hello Friends,
We have a requirement to customize the out of the box SP Discussion board's flat view (in SharePoint 2013). Attached below is a screenshot of what needs to be achieved.

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to customize the out of the box SP Discussion board's flat view.
There is no Out-of-Box way to disable CallOut Popups on Lists and Libraries that display them by default.
As a workaround, we can use the Script Code to change the behaver.

Populate list Item with a recordgroup?
Hi Friend
I want to populate a list Item with a "Recordgroup". Does it possible without using the add_eliment function?
I did it through the Loop to read the item from record group. If the database changes the record does not change in my list item. because the list containing the added items which was delivered in the load time. But like Pressing F9, we can easily see the last changed data of the database.
If possible please send me the detail code to me. Here I delivered the detail procedure which i did for that purpose.

Hi,
When I depoly the form with tlist item. it does not display a vertical bar even if the number of item exceeds the viewable area of tlist. However, it display the scroll bar again when I trigger the same piece of list item loading code with another control after a while.You could add your own When-Validate-Record to prevent a NULL value from being added rather than using the Required setting, I find this to be a better alternative as you can provide better exception messages to the user.

For a better troubleshooting, I suggest you do as the followings:
1. Check the ULS log for more detailed error message, for SharePoint 2013, the ULS log is located at the path:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS
You can use ULS Log Viewer to check the information in the log.
2. You can use fiddler to track if there is something wrong in the workflow request.

List Item problem in oracle forms
Hi,
I am using list item in oracle forms 6i and facing one problem. I am populating list using following built-in.
Clear_list()
Create_Group_From_Query( )
Populate_list()
The problem I am facing is when list gets populate it keep the cursor at last element of list with null value. I want cursor to go at first item in the list. Is this thing is possible. The list item I am using is pop-list. In combo its showing list perfectly but I have to use pop-list only. Please help to come out of this problem.

If P_TYPE='P' , then the data must get saved in KEC_FDACCT_DTL table.
The problem what is happening is,
If i enter the details with all the records as 'P' , the record gets inserted into the table KEC_FDACCT_DTL
If i enter the details with records of 'P' and 'R' , then nothing gets inserted into the table KEC_FDACCT_DTL.
Even the records with 'P' is not getting updated.
I want the records of 'P' , to be inserted into table KEC_FDACCT_DTL, even when multiple records of all types of 'P_Type' (R, w & P) are entered.
So, can you please help me with this.

Spotlight lists items and shows preview images. BUT what about showing the path/location address of an item in my computer.
Especially important if I've put the item in the wrong folder and what to locate it without multi-steps. iMac OS X 10.5 was more useful.
Old OSX Spotlight function automatically displayed path/location within the machine: e.g. desktop/folder/sub-folder/item.
Can I make Spotlight show the path?Press option-command and the path is displayed at the bottom of the little preview window. Press command-return and the enclosing folder opens.

The problem is that i can only selecet one item at once to set the color.

Open references of other list items from a list item in the same window or tab
Hi there,
We have migrated from lotus notes to sharepoint. We have converted the lotus notes forms to sharepoint forms. Basically the list items are pages and there are links of other pages in a page.
My problem is I want to open the other pages in the same tab or window and not in a separate window.(currently the links open in a separate window which is not the requirement.)
In terms of sharepoint I would say,
I have references(links) to other list items of the list in a single list item. I want to open the other list items in the same window (tab).
How can we achieve this?? If possible without much codes??

Is it possible for a 3rd party program to create a list item in sharepoint online 2013?
I have limited experience with the online version of sp. I've been asked if it's possible for a 3rd party app that our company is beginning to use, to programmatically add items to a list. I don't have any details about the program yet,
but I've been told that a batch would run at night and they would like it to create items in a SP list and pass along several fields of metadata.
Is this possible in the online version? I know that Power Shell can do this, but is it possible for an app to get access to run a PS command?

There is something known as the Client Side (?) Object Model or CSOM. This allows you to create list items, lists and even sites with .Net code from a non server machine.
You could run 'classic' Server Object Model C#/VB.NET or PowerShell to do the same job and it might be easier as there's alot more material out there on how to do it. On the other hand it's probably going to make your solution more complicated and
harder to maintain over the long run.

Start a workflow for a list item that was created by someone else
What settings do I need to change so that I can start a workflow for a list item created by another user?
I have a SharePoint 2013 workflow (let's call it LSR Status Workflow) that is associated with a list (called
LSR List). When a user creates an item in the LSR List, it automatically starts the
LSR Status Workflow. That is what I wanted, but sometimes I make changes to the workflow (via SharePoint designer) and then I would want to terminate the existing workflows that are running and restart them.
When I try to start a workflow for anyone other than a list item that I created, I get the following error:

If I created the list item, I can stop it and restart it without any problems, but this is not the case for list items created by someone else.
What settings do I need to change so that I can start a workflow for a list item created by another user? I am the owner of the SharePoint site and am able to make changes to permissions if needed.You don't need to re-do the fields. If you create a new version of the PDF
file just open the old one and use the Replace Pages command to insert the
pages from the new version over the old ones. This will give you a new
version of the file, with the existing form fields still in tact. Of
course, you might need to adjust their location and/or size, but at least
you won't have to start all over again...

I have created a list and a recordgroup
recgroup:= create_group_from query('gname','select createtime,stlong from cc_hist where stid like %1063')
and then i use
status is a number variable
status:= populate_group('gname');
Now i user
Populate_list( listname,gname) where gname is the record group name.
but this procedure is not working
then i use
Recgroup varchar2(100);
Recgoup:='select ......... query)
then
Populate_list('listname',recgroupname)..
No error is shown rather i recieve a message in the task bar of Forms 6i
that " Module built succesfully"
But not a single item is shown in the T List..
why is this..
Is there any other way to popluate the list
i want ot show at least 2 or 3 columns in the same list is it possible..

well i have searched and found that if you create groups to populate item in the list box.. you need to add extra column for the value of the list item.. for each element.
thats what i tried to do. but still i get the error.
FRM41072 etc that cannot create record group..
i dont know what the hell is the error..
Kindly tell me How to populate my list..
its an imp module and user will select stid and i will create group based on that stid and then populate result in a list item.. T list..

Missing text in list items when coverting an MS Word 2003 Document
When converting a document from MS Word (2003) to PDF, (using Acrobat 9 Pro.) text is missing from either an ordered or unordered list when the text is within a list item and spans across to a second page.
This symptom is present when using the following methods of creating a PDF.
· In windows explorer, right click and convert to PDF
· Using the Convert to PDF button in the MS Word 2003 tool bar
· Using the Convert to PDF in the File Menu of MS Word 2003
The only workaround seems to be:
· Click File
· Click Print
· Select PDF from the list
· Print
I can't seem to find any updates or fixes either from MS or Adobe that addresses this issue. This issue is present on 5 computers, has anyone had this problem and found a solution o_0With WORD 2003, set the printer to the Adobe PDF printer and then go back through the document to check for the layout and such. Then print (or use PDF Maker). The other option is to go into the WORD Options, way down in a list of compatibility settings, and turn off use printer metrics. I think either of these will solve your problem.
