Command line STOP of Dasylab

Hi,
I'm trying to find a quick () way of stopping Dasylab from the command line e.g. from an external script file.
I can STOP Dasylab via a VB Windows based DDE utility (produced by NI/DasyTec), but I need the same degree of control from the command line.
I have several DDE command line utilities, namely TCMD.exe & CMCDDE.exe but none of these work with Dasylab ….even though they control other DDE servers without problem!
Any ideas??
Thanks,
Paul Towle.

Hello all.
This has now been solved .....thanks to Thomas Gebbert at Measx.com.
It only requires a Visual Basic Script file.
Place the following in a file (e.g. named 'Dasylab_STOP.vbs)' & execute from the command line or another script/batch file.
Regards all,
Paul T.

Start
Sub Start
'Nun alle weiteren Prozeduren/Funktionen hier aufrufen.
     TastenSimulation 'Für DASYLab-Stop.
End Sub
Sub TastenSimulation
Dim WshShell
set WshShell = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
'In Überschriftszeile steht immer u.a. ein DASYLab.
WshShell.AppActivate "DASYLab"
' Tastaturanschläge durchführen.
' 'Enter'-Taste = ~; 'STRG+F5'-Taste = ^{F5};
WshShell.SendKeys "~"
WshShell.SendKeys "^{F5}"

I have tried following one but no luck...
./ccm.sh -stop SIA.InputFileRepository -cms  cmsname:6400 -username xxxx -password xxxx -authentication secEnterprise

    Hi,
As suggested by  Julian you could look into the KB Article for the reference.
Just run ccm.exe /help in a Command Window (cmd) to see full list of supported commands.
Here are sample commands on windows if else you could not access to KB article:
    "C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\ccm.exe" -managedstop machine1.WebIntelligenceProcessingServer -cms machine1:6500 -username SysAdmin -password 35%bC5@5 -authentication secLDAP"
    "C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\ccm.exe" -managedstart machine1.WebIntelligenceProcessingServer -cms machine1:6500 -username SysAdmin -password 35%bC5@5 -authentication secLDAP"
    "C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\ccm.exe" -managedrestart machine1.WebIntelligenceProcessingServer -cms machine1:6500 -username SysAdmin -password 35%bC5@5 -authentication secLDAP"
To enable/disable the same service use the following without the "managed" parameter :-
    "C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\ccm.exe" -enable machine1.WebIntelligenceProcessingServer -cms machine1:6500 -username SysAdmin -password 35%bC5@5 -authentication secLDAP"
    "C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\ccm.exe" -disable machine1.WebIntelligenceProcessingServer -cms machine1:6500 -username SysAdmin -password 35%bC5@5 -authentication secLDAP"
    Hope this helps

Since installing OS X Mavericks, automatic updates keep producing download demand for Command Line Developer tools 6.0 and 6.1.  I don't need these but cannot seem to stop the updates available, even if they are downloaded and installed.  Can anyone tell me how to stop this?

  • Restart/start/stop network from command line

    Hi all...
How do I restart/start or stop my network from command line? I red somewhere about using netstart, but I guess the article was refering to OpenBSD and not OS X...
    So.. any hints?
    Thanks.

    Hey You are right there...
OKK..To my knowledge, you can start an application, from the servlet in a thread. But stopping a thread from outside is not safe and even sun doesn't advice.
    1. Starting a thread : you can start your program using an Runtime class. But your client program can see if the server port is open or not. So after starting the server program, through servlet, execute the client program. OR you can log every command/step in to a log file, and start the server program and see the log, where currently the program is waiting, so you can check, if the server program has exited.
    2. Stoping an application i.e a thread is a tricky thing. One i would suggest is, send data to the server socket with your pass code and the command "Shutdown" with a sequence which will not repeat in the data communication. If the first command is your passcode and "Shutdown" you can kill the server thread from inside the server application. To make this possible, every thing the new connection is accepted, you have to validate the first line is this your command to shutdown.
    and repeat the step 1.
Hope this gives you a little idea to proceed. if not let me know...
    Cheers

  • Starting and stopping X + booting into command line rather than GUI

After installing Arch and struggling a bit to get the gui environment (gnome) to work I am now in a situation where the distro works fine but boots directly into a gnome session.
I would like to be able to stop X and I have tried various recommended commands. The only one that works seems to be "kill -15 X" (after doing Ctrl+Alt+F2), which ends X but sort of stops mid-process without ever going back to any command line prompt.
I copied etc/skel/.xinitrc into my home folder and uncommented "exec xterm", while re-commented "exec gnome-session". This did not make any difference at all so perhaps I'm not even using that script?
As I had some difficulties installing X (or rather get it to work) I may have installed a whole plethora of packages that I may not need. There are references to Wayland for instance, packages I installed. But am I actually using them? How can I find out?
I would like Arch to boot into a command line environment and then I'd start X from there - if that is what I want!
Any pointers in any direction regarding the above are welcome!
    Cheers!

What guide did you follow to install? The beginner's guide and the Xorg page contain the relevant information. Following just them should have allowed you avoid the mess you're in. Just saying that you've installed a whole plethora of packages will not help...it makes it near impossible to help.
You ought to read this. It sounds like you installed a display manager and set up auto-login?

  • Unable to restart the Microsoft Software Protection Platform service from command line - Win81 MS Office 2013 SP1

I'm unable to restart the Microsoft Software Protection Platform service on a Windows 8.1 laptop for MS Office 2013 SP1 (32-bit) using the following command:
    cscript ospp.vbs /osppsvcrestart (issued from C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15)
When this is run, a window appears with the title ospp.vbs and the text "Error: The Software Protection Platform service is not installed"
I verified that the service is installed in services.msc, and was able to manually stop and restart the SPP service in the Services console without issue.
The command runs correctly when restarting the MS Office 2013 SPP on Windows 7 devices.
Has anyone else seen this or have a solution for it?
The reason that I am attempting to restart the service from the command line is because this command is part of a script to change the KMS server IP Address used by OSPP prior to software activation.
The only other options that I have at this time is to ask the users to reboot, or manually force a reboot.  This is both time consuming and disruptive to the users.
The Fix It tool to remove MS Office 2013 was run, and the MS Office 2013 software was successfully reinstalled after a reboot.  The software was successfully activated.  When the command was run, it produced the same exact error.

    Hi,
I am able to reproduce this on my own machine, but in my case, I don't see the specific service running in the Services console.
I would like first confirm that whether you've the right service running on your Windows 8.1 system. The display name of this service should be "Office Software Protection Platform", service name is "osppsvc".
You can also check this by going to below path where you should see the executable file (OSPPSVC.EXE) if the service is installed on your system (in my case, the folder is empty):
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform

  • DAC - Mark as completed - From Command Line?

I have a exec plan which has around 50 tasks... This exec plan starts when a source file is posted in source file folder. We have a .bat file which checks for source file, once it find the file, it starts exec plan. .bat runs in loop, so once file is loaded it will again check for source file..
Now my question is if 3rd task (out of 50) does not load any records/does not meet required conditions, I would like to skip the remaining part of exec plan, as they dont have meaning without any records loaded in 3rd task. How can I go this in command line? daccmdline helps me to stop the exec plan, but no mark it as complete..
Would like to do this, so next file can be started quick and we dont have wait for all 50 tasks to complete.
Can we mark is as complete only from UI? Or can I update status in some of DAC tables to achieve this (not sure if this is supported!!)??
    Please let me know.
    Thanks.
    Ash

    Hi,
There is no option to mark as completed from the command line.
Create a task group for the remaining sessions and set the order of execution for those tasks and before doing this step you can create one session at informatica level which will check whether the file has been generated or not.
If the file has not been generated then you are not going to execute the remaining tasks.

  • How can I start System Preferences from the command line?

    Hello All,
I have an issue I'm not quite sure how to solve. I have been tasked within my business environment  with tightening security on a Mac Leopard system and I've been granted Admin Rights to do this on a temporary basis.
    The problem is as follows:
    1) The original Sys Admin that set up this system is gone, no longer available.
    2) He was a Dvorak Keyboard fan and set up the system for a Dvorak Keyboard.
    3) The system actually has a standard Apple keyboard and is marked accordingly, i.e., qwerty (Most Users in the building have stopped using this system altogether - a terrible waste of a good system - even though some of their apps can be run normally (US style qwerty settings). The command line is useless, as is texteditor.app and a few others unless you know Dvorak layout)
    5) When I open System Preferences, the Dvorak keyboard checkbox is grayed out and I cannot change it. There is no lock at the bottom of that particular screen for me to unlock.
    6) Even though I select the US Keyboard at Login, and some apps work accordingly (like MatLab for example) the terminal is borderline useless. I spent over 2 hrs yesterday doing what should have been able to be done in about 30 minutes. I estimate a frustrating and mistake prone additional 8 to 10 hours to do what is normally a a 4 hour job at the command-line.
    7) I do not have the time or desire to re-mark all the keys on the keyboard, particularly since it is not my call to do so, nor do I have the time to re-learn Dvorak touch-typing, and finally I do not want to re-load the entire system. I just want to change the darn keyboard to a standard qwerty keyboard that is somewhat useful in a terminal environment with vi, command line, etc. It's either that or I go mildly insane
This is frustrating as all get-out. The new Admin logged in and was able to uncheck his Dvorak settings (he is not a UNIX guy, nor is he comfortable om Macs), and we were hoping this was a system wide setting, but No. We re-booted the system, I logged in, still Dvorak, and the checkbox was still grayed out.
So I figure, short of re-loading the entre system and all the applications necesary, I can either start the Systems Preferences GUI using sudo and hopefully that will change system-wide settings, or I can delete the .AppleSetupDone file and resetup the system (if the keyboard settings are part of the setup) without spending a couple of days reloading everything and re-setting up users, networks, etc.
Needless to say, I am hoping for the easiest and quickest solution to this extremely frustrating and  aggravating problem.
    Thanks.

For my situation the following C# code does the job:
        Process.Start(
           @"c:\Program Files\National Instruments\CVI71\cvi.exe",
           @"c:\temp\experiment.c" );
    The file must already exist.

  • 7410 booting directly to grub command line after forced restart?

I'm running a 7410 (2x 100gb SSDs and 2x 500gb sata) with a j4400 containing 24 1tb drives. I attempted to create a pool and the bui hung so I went back to the SP and did a stop /SYS. After doing a start /SYS then starting the console, it goes through the bios startup, then initializes the external SAS card and after that immediately drops into the grub command line. There's no grub menu or anything, just the CL. Any idea how I can get back into the 7000 appliance software? As you can undoubtedly tell, I'm kind of a newbie so any help will be greatly appreciated!

  • G5 will not boot into OSX - stays at a command-line prompt

My G5 will not boot into OS X. I would appreciate and and all advice. Thanks.
    What happened:
I had the G5 running one morning, with the Isight camera on, plugged into the front-console firewire port. I was running EvoCam software.
At about 2 hours into running, the cam stopped broadcasting – I got home to check it out three hours later, and the screen was black, and the fan was louder than I had ever, ever heard it on this box.
I did a hard shut-down with the powerbutton on the Cinema Display monitor.
At reboot, I see a grey screen for approx 5 seconds, with a dark grey apple logo, and then the screen goes to black, with a command-line prompt.
It’s been like that ever since.
I ran the Apple Hardware test, from the internal CD drive, and it shows no errors.
I cannot boot from an OSX installer DVD. It won’t recognize it. It goes straight to the black screen and Command line prompt.
I have re-seated the RAM, as well as the Airport Card. The only other card – which I have not re-seated, it the video card.
I am able to use the machine in Target Mode, so I can extract data from the drives, which is great. Oddly enough, I’m able to use the front-console firewire port to connect to my other Mac in Target mode – with no problems. Also – in Target mode, the fan never goes above the usual quiet self.
I would appreciate any advice one can provide. Thanks!
    The machine:

    Hi All,
is there a way to hide command line password for apps user.
when start or stop ebs apps from command line, i have to type
    $adstrtal.sh apps/apps
is there a way to hide this password.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I do not think there is a direct way to do this. However, look at this document and see if it helps.

Another option would be calling "adstrtal.sh apps/<apps password>" from some other script.

  • Robohelp HTML command-line utility overwrites merged files in .hhp file with absolute paths. Any way to prevent this?

I have a Robohelp 11 HTML project which uses merged CHM files. I have a help build script which compiles this project using the RH command-line utility. Whenever this runs, RH overwrites the names of the merged CHM files in the .hhp file to use absolute paths (even if the .hhp file is read-only!). I've searched Adobe forums and this appears to be a RH bug. In my case, it doesn't stop the project performing the merge, but it looks like it causes problems when searching the resultant parent CHM (topics matching the search simply don't show up in child projects), as the search cannot necessarily find the merged files referenced in the .hhp when someone performs the search on a different machine. I notice that if I compile via the RH UI, the .hhp entries are not overwritten. So, a workaround is to do the build manually. However, we'd like to automate our help build. Is there any way to prevent the command-line compiler overwriting the merge file entries in the .hhp?

This was a problem with Rh9, see Item 13 at Using RoboHelp 9
I haven't seen it reported since but maybe something at that link will help.
