What version of Premiere Elements do you have and on what computer operating system is it running?
Without further details from you, I will generalized...
If you want to take your Timeline content to a disc that will play on a regular DVD player attached to the TV, then you
use the Publish+Share (Share in earlier version)/Disc/DVD disc with preset either PAL_Dolby DVD or PAL_Widescreen_Dolby DVD.
In more recent versions of Premiere Elements, you can burn your Timeline content to a higher resolution format on DVD disc (AVCHD DVD), but
this AVCHD DVD cannot be played back on a regular DVD player. It needs Blu-ray player that supports AVCHD DVD or one of those multimedia players
that supports AVCHD DVD.
There are several considerations that go into getting good results. We can go over each once we get the above basic information.
For your review until we exchange further information.
http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/using/sharing-dvd-or-blu-ray.html
Your current problems could be related to
a. a burn to disc issue (the burn to folder needs to be done to define the burn issue)
b. your creation of AVCHD DVD and trying to play it with a regular player
c. problems with disc
d. other
So lots to work through.
Thank you.

  • Adobe premier elements 12 sous mac

    Bonsoir,

    Format d'affichage : code temporel 25 i/s
    Format acquisition : DV

  • I want to create a HD disc with my Adobe Premier Elements but I am getting low resolution.  When I go to share the DVD to disc the form only offers 8pixels at the bottom.  How do I burn this DVD in HD with higher number of pixels?

I want to create a HD disc with my Adobe Premier Elements but I am getting low resolution.  When I go to share the DVD to disc the form only offers 8pixels at the bottom.  How do I burn this DVD in HD with higher number of pixels?  I have read other forums on burning HD DVD's but I do not see the option to turn the 8 pi into 40 pi the one forum recommended.  I want my DVD to be HD so I may sell these videos online for my business.  I can't sell them the low quality they are burning now.  Hopefully you can help me.  Thanks.

    Thank you for your reply.
You cannot burn your high resolution video that you can view on your computer to an AVCHD on DVD disc
that will replay through a regular DVD player. But players are marketed under a variety of names with
different support opportunities. One manufacturer may call its product MultiMedia Player, media player, Blu-ray player,
etc.The bottom line is the specifications for each of the players that are candidates for the playback of
the AVCHD format on DVD disc or the format of interest.
If you upload your HD (1920 x 1080) video to YouTube, YouTube converts the video to flash format, but it goes up as the HD video.
But, beware. Look at the YouTube viewing setting when your uploaded video is playing back. The YouTube default is not
HD. It might be 360p, 480p. If you have a 1080p video, then before the YouTube playback, you should be looking
at the video with the YouTube 1080p HD setting for best viewing. That is a YouTube matter.
    Best results depend on you
    a. setting up the Premiere Elements project preset to match the properties of the source media. That means, if
you have 1080p source, you (manually) or the project (automatically) set the project preset at
    NTSC
    DSLR
    1080p
    DSLR [email protected]
or the PAL counterpart, depending on your region need.
    b. if you upload your video to YouTube using the Premiere Elements feature, there is a HD preset, but you cannot
customize it.....if you need customization, then you can export your Timeline to a file...in this example
    Publish+Share
    Computer
    AVCHD
    with Presets = MP4 H.264 1920 x 1080p30 or PAL counterpart
and then customize the preset under the Advanced Button/Video Tab of that preset. In increase quality, you might look to increase
the Bitrate under Advanced Button/Video Tab settings - without compromising the file size.
Then you would upload that file to YouTube at the YouTube web site.
All of the above are factors that need looking into in order to determine the why for what you wrote
I have published a shortened advertisement video to YouTube- say 5 minutes-
    and it is low quality
Often SD video upscaled to HD can present poorly. But, you are dealing with a HD workflow so that should not be introduced into the matter. The setup of the project and
the properties of the source video are important, but let us start with the above and rule in or out those considerations first.
Thank you. As always, any clarification needed, please do not hesitate to ask.

  • How to import AVI files created in Adobe Premier Elements 2?

I have captured video in Adobe Premier Elements 2 on my PC from my Canon Optura camcorder. I have a few hundred small .avi files that I need a friend to import into his Final Cut Pro so they can be edited along with other footage that he has created. What is the best way to do this? Should I output a different file type from Adobe to make it easier for him to import?
    Thanks in advance.

    David Bogie Chq-1 wrote:

    <
No, it would be easier to give him the camera and let him capture natively.
    bogiesan</div>
Unfortunately the clips are dispersed throughout many tapes so it is not reasonable for my friend to capture directly from the tapes.
I'm new to video editing and I don't know what format is recorded by my camcorder. Reading in this forum indicates that the .AVI files are just "wrappers". Is the compressor part of Final Cut? Would he be able to convert the files? Is it a problem if the time codes are lost. Can I do anything else in Adobe to make the conversion easier?
Sorry for all the dumb questions.

  • Adobe premier element 9

    Hello,
I have a problem with Adobe premier element 9.
I created a project with some photo and in this photo I put a little video to comment it. The project is in 1280*760.
My problem is when I want to record my project in a littler resolution (800*600), all the insert video moves out from the picture.
Do u know if there is an “option” to keep all as it was in 1280*760?
Other information: I tried to record my project in 1280*760, but it don’t work, “undefined error”…. This is an other problem…
    Thanks for your help.

For what I am reading, per your desires, I would match the Project's Preset to that of your Video, in every respect.
Scale your still images to match the chosen Frame Size. This ARTICLE will give you tips and more detail.
Now, to get the Video to "come out of the stills," be sure to turn Scale to Frame Size OFF. Then, you will do a PiP (Picture in Picture), with the stills on Video Track 1, and the Video on Video Track 2, above the stills. You will then use the fixed Effect>Motion>Scale and Keyframe the Scale of the Video. You will start with a Scale of 0, so that the Video is not visible, then Keyframe the Scale to what you need, whether PiP (smaller than the stills), or full-frame. If you want the Video to "disappear" back into the still, just reverse the Keyframes.
When done, you can Export/Share to a smaller set of dimensions, with most formats/CODEC's. You will want to keep the Aspect Ratio the same, as with your Project's Preset, so a little math might be required.
If this is not what you want, please correct where I went wrong, and good luck,
    Hunt

  • Adobe Premier Elements wont install.

I've been downloading the Adobe Premier Elements 3.0 30 day trial to finish a project from home.
I'm running Windows 7 and it doesn't seem to install.
Once the download is complete it states so and asks to install now.
    Clicking install now does nothing.
    Please help!

    Welcome to the forum.
In addition to Steve's comments, be aware that the trial of PrE will place a watermark on your Exported AV file, so you might not be pleased with using any trial to do work, other than to test the program.
    Good luck,

I want to transfer adobe premier elements from my old PC to my new mac book pro, how do i do it?
    =============================================
Moved by moderator from Premiere Pro to Premiere Elements forum.

    photo shop elements 12
What is your program? You specifically ask about Premiere Elements but your ID = photo shop elements 12.
It is confusing why Reynolds Films 2014 is replying to your thread, talking about Photoshop Elements.
Assuming some version of Premiere Elements currently on some Windows operating system.
What version of Premiere Elements do you have and on what computer operating system does it exist?
How did you install your version of Premiere Elements on Windows - installation files from an online purchase or
from installation disc from purchase of the product in box packaging?
What installation files or installation disc do you have?
You cannot install Premiere Elements Windows installation files on a Mac computer. If you want Premiere Elements
for your Mac computer, you will need to buy a version of Premiere Elements Mac that is supported by your Mac computer.
If you purchased Premiere Elements Windows in box packaging, it probably came with 2 installation discs, one for
Windows and one for Mac. If that is the case, use the Mac installation disc to try to install the program on your
    Mac computer.
But, we need the details from you in order to sort out what is and what needs to be done.
Looking forward to your follow up.
    Thanks.

  • With Adobe Premier Elements 13 can I add my own audio tracks by pulling music from my files and by using my UBS microphone?

With Adobe Premier Elements 13 can I add my own audio tracks by pulling music from my files and by using my USB microphone?

    larryh
Please remind us on what computer operating system your Premiere Elements 13 is running
    Using your own music.....
    Yes, with important but.....
    Details
If your music is from iTunes, more than likely you will get some sort of error message from the program when you try to import the iTunes music into Premiere Elements (most versions including 13). In that case, please convert the iTunes music to the wav version in iTunes using the following iTunes instructions.
iTunes: How to convert a song to a different file format - Apple Support
If you are getting program error message using Premiere Elements 13 Add Media/Files and Folder with other than iTunes music, please give the source and properties of that music.
Using USB Microphone....Not recommended by Adobe....See Adobe ReMe
    Details
As for Premiere Elements narration clips using the its Narration Tool
    1. Adobe documentation indicates the USB microphone do not work in Premiere Elements and suggest the use of microphones that connect to the computer via computer jack.
But, there are some scattered cases where the user has found a USB microphone that has worked for him or her.
    2. Be sure to check Edit Menu/Preferences/Audio Hardware ASIO settings to assure that Input and Output are enabled.
    3. There have been reports (Premiere Elements several versions) where addition of narration using the Narration Tool results in loss of pre-existing
sound on numbered audio track clips and soundtrack.
ATR Premiere Elements Troubleshooting: PE12: Audio Losses After Narration Addition
    4. In my particular Premiere Elements 13 on Windows 8.1 64 bit, I have found that I need to set the Mic Sensitivity all the way to the left to avoid
    serious audio distortion.
I have tried to give you an overview to avoid surprises if you have not used the features that you pointed to in your thread question. Please let me know if you need further information.
    Thank you.

  • Trial edition of Adobe Premier Elements

I want to make my video on Adobe Premier Elements 11 but im using the trial version. Everytime i put a picture, in the background, it says "created with adobe premier elements trail version". How do i delete that from my movie?
Please someone help me. I'm desperate.

    Welcome to the forum.
As has been stated, as long as the copy of PrE is the "trial," that watermark will appear, and be embedded in any output file.
When you do purchase the program, and plug-in your S/N to convert from trial to full-paid, you can remove that watermark, for subsequent output, but be sure to Delete any Render Files, as mentioned in that FAQ Entry, posted by John T.. That is an important step, and remember, any files output FROM the trial, WILL always have that watermark.
    Good luck,

why does adobe premier elements render my video everytime i change something in it even when i have lots more of the video to edit? other editing software only seems to render at the start then lets you edit until your ready to save at the end.  Constant rendering means its almost impossible to edit anything. Please help.

What version of Premiere Elements and on what computer operating system is it running? It will not influence my answer but will give me information in case I need to get into version specifics to detail my answer further.
Timeline rendering is a preview matter. It does not fix anything, but it is your window of opportunity to catch of problem sooner than latter. If the Timeline rendering indicator displays orange (11 or higher) for the line above the Timeline content, that is the project telling you that you are not getting the best possible preview of the playback of that content in the Edit area monitor. And, every time you edit a file, you have altered the file from the time before. So, if you want to see the best possible for what you now have, you Timeline render. This is particularly helpful when you are dealing with titles, effects, transitions, and non native formats. You cannot turn off the Timeline render indicator system, at least none that I have ever found nor seen reported. You can do selective Timeline rendering by having the gray tabs of the Work Area Bar span only the Timeline segment that you want Timeline rendered.
Consequently, you either ignore the Timeline render indicator system, move on in the project, and take your chances in the outcome or you Timeline render to get your best possible preview if the Timeline render indicator is suggesting that you do so.
I am not approving or disapproving of this project feature, just commenting on the what is.
This is not Adobe. Rather user to user. If you want to have your voice heard at Adobe, you might consider filing an Adobe Feature Request Bug Report Form.
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform
    Please consider.
    ATR
Add On...it is also possible to do Timeline rendering in a project, save close the project, and reopen it to find your previously "green" lined content now "orange", indicating unrendered. Yet the preview files generated originally by Timeline rendering are still existing in their hard drive save location. That is another story for other time.

  • .FLV Format to Adobe Premier Elements 4 for editing -- Difficulty

    Hi:
Have Dell Dimension 4600 with 2.4 GigHz CPU
    WINXP with SP-2
    RAM = 1 GIG
    2 HD's (20 & 200 gigs)
I recently downloaded from YouTube a lot of
videos by using RealPlayer's software (version 11),
    which uses the .FLV format.
I want to transfer them to Adobe Premier Elements 4
for editing, but it will not accept this format.
    I tried using Virtual Dub and/or MPEG-Streamclip
to change this format and they too would not
    recognize this .FLV format
    Any suggestions??
    Thanks

    Hi again:
Have some questions about the Moyea FLV Plug-in:
As previously stated, I have been using the Prism Video converter,
which does seem to convert the FLV file to some type of an AVI file.
I then load this AVI file into Premium Elements 4 (PE4), and it first
has to be "conformed" in the PE4 software.
Then, if one attempts to open and edit this file, it either is an ex-
tremely slow process, or the software freezes, requiring a re-start
(sometimes multiple times) to complete the editing before rendering
it into an edited AVI file.
Curious to find a work-around, I avoided this first time editing
and just had the PE4 software just re-render the whole intact
Prism-generated AVI file into a PE4-generated AVI file which has
apparently much less "overehead" and can easily be edited in PE4.
so, I end up re-re-rendering the original FLV to get the edited AVI
    file I want.
Does the Moyea FLV Plug-in avoid this labor-time intensive task??
Also, its web site advertises 2 different packages:
    1) FLV Importer Pro for Adobe Premiere:
"FLV Importer Pro for Adobe Premiere is a plug-in program for Adobe
Premiere. Adobe Premiere is a professional and popular video editing
tool, which allows importing video and audio in various formats, like
AVI, MPE, MPG, M2V, MP3, WMV, WMA, WAV, etc.
Yet, it does not support the FLV file, which is widely used on the
web. FLV Importer Pro for Adobe Premiere is just a program to make
Adobe Premiere accept the FLV file for video editing and composing."
    Price: $60
    2) FLV Importer for Adobe Premiere:
"FLV Importer for Adobe Premiere is the same with the Pro version,
except the Flash 8 alpha video import and cheaper with 20$ off!
It is a plug-in program for Adobe Premiere.
Adobe Premiere is a professional and popular video editing tool, which
allows importing video and audio in various formats, like AVI, MPEG,
MPG, M2V, MP3, WMV, WMA, WAV, etc. Yet, it does not support the FLV
file, which is widely used on the web.
Support FLV files encoded by any codec, like:
    Flash 8, H.263, RAW, ADPCM, MP3, Nellymoser.
FLV Importer for Adobe Premiere is just a program to make Adobe Prem-
iere accept the FLV file for video editing and composing."
    Price: $40
    (version 2)
The product sites of Moyea Software:
    Video-to-flash.com, Flvsoft.com, My-video-converter.com.
    The homepage of Moyea Software:
    http://www.moyea.com
Which one is the most practical to get??
The site offers a "Free Trial"--is that worthwhile??
    Finally, is this site trustworthy??
I am using the PE4 mainly for the conversion of FLV files and would
appreciate any rational method for accelerating the process.
    Thanx.

  • Does Adobe Premier Elements 8 burn AVCHD DVDs in HDusing a standard burner?  Does it need a bluray?

Does Adobe Premier Elements 8 burn AVCHD DVDs in HD using a standard burner or do you need to have a bluray burner?  I have read comments stating you can't burn HD video straight to DVD.   I need to check this out before I purchase it.
    Thanks

Do not hesitate to ask. Adobe has always been a very good host, and allows for pretty open discussions on editing videos, regardless of what one is using.
Now, I have to admit that I have not seen Pinnacle Studio since the S-10 days. I had S-7, S-8, S-9 and S-10. S-9.4.3 was about the only one, that I really liked, but felt that it was a bit too much of a "big-button" solution, as were its predecessors and S-10. I moved to AVID Liquid, and did not like it. I found PrPro, and the rest, as they say, was history. I added PrE 4 to handle some consumer formats & CODEC's, that PrPro did not do well with.
I have done some Projects in PrE, mainly to keep me atop the questions in this forum.
I find that PrE, as of version 4, is more like Pinnacle, in that things are kept pretty much under the hood, and the big-button solutions abound. I am still much less comfortable with PrE, than with PrPro, though I did spend a bunch of time on Pinnacle Studio. Things just work better for me. I have to admit that I am a "control freak," and do not mind doing hand-work, if I can harness the full power.
I have not seen the more recent Pinnacle products, so cannot comment on them. Going back, my versions (except for 9.4.3) were very crash-prone, and seldom could complete a Project, without at least one catastrophic failure along the way. I learned early on to always hit Ctrl+S (Save), after almost everything I did. My PrE 4 has only crashed once, and that was OE on my part. Now, I do have a much more powerful laptop, than the computers that I used with most versions of Pinnacle, so it's probably not a really fair comparison. The Projects now, are much more involved, than in the Pinnacle days.
Doesn't directly address your question, and I'm not sure that many folk here have spent enough time with both NLE programs, to help. I would suggest that you post your question in the Muvipix Community (forum), as many users there have different programs, and experience in a bunch. While many use Adobe products, many others use different NLE programs. Maybe some know PrE and Studio (later editions, that what I know/knew) and can answer your question directly.
After Studio 10.5.1 update killed (and I really mean "killed") a brand new workstation, I swore that no version of Studio would ever find its way inside my edit suite. That was when I went to AVID, but soon dumped that. Though I had used many Adobe products for decades, I have no idea why I did not go to Premiere Pro earlier. My bad.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
PS - I also feel that most salespeople lick their lips, when they sell an AVCHD camera, as they know that the customer WILL be back for a much more powerful computer.

  • Adobe Premier Elements 12 on i7 4500U Turbo

I'm considering acquiring a Sony Vaio Flip 15.
Hoping to get "the best of both worlds". Wanted mobility of laptop, with added feature of a converable (to tablet mode), while still having enough power to support my video editing using Adobe Premier Elements.
The System Configuration of the Sony Vaio Flip 15 I am considering:
    4th gen Intel Core i7 4500U (1.8Ghz / 3.0Ghz with Turbo Boost)
    Windows 8 PRO 64bit
15.5 Full HD IPS TRILLUMINOUS Display for mobile (1920 x 1080) Touch Screen
NVIDIA GeForce GT 735M w/ Optimus (2GB) hybrid graphics
256GB (256GB x 1) solid state drive (I also have 1TB of NAS - 2TB mirrored) that I use to store my media)
    16GB (8GB x2) DDR3L-1600Mhz
Specs for Premier Elements System Requirements indicate a 2GHz processor of faster.
    My questions:
Will the overdrive capabilities of the i7 4500U (1.8GHz / 3.0GHz with Turbo) support Elements needs - and I don't just mean "install"?
I've seen post regarding Elements support for NVIDIA drivers. I specifically looked for an NVIDIA card figuring Elements would perform better on and non-integrated video card. Will I have issues with the NVIDIA card?
Any enlightening responses would be greatly appreciated.

    Bill and Steve,
    Thank you for your replies.
    Latest update:
I've abandoned the idea of including my requirement for a Convertable/Tablet. Given the processor requirements suggested by Steve and Bill's suggestion of a second storage drive, I began to reseach Gaming Laptops. I found two within my price range that seemed to have the cababilities that would support my video editing needs.
    The Alienware 14:
    4th gen Intel Core i7-4700MQ (8MB Cache, 2.8 Ghz / 3.8 Ghz with Turbo Boost) PaasMark = 9321
    Windows 8 PRO 64bit
    14" WLED FHD (1920 x 1080) Anti-Glare Display
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M with 2GB GDDR5
    256GB mSATA Boot + 750GB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s
    16GB Dual Channel DDR3L at 1600Mhz
    The Toshiba Qosmio X70-ABT3G22:
    4th gen Intel Core i7-4900MQ (6MB Cache, 2.2 Ghz / 3.2 Ghz with Turbo Boost) PaasMark = 7936
    Windows 8 PRO 64bit
    17.3" FHD TruBrite LED Backlit Display (1920 x 1080)
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M with NVIDIA Optimus Technology 3GB GDDR5
    500GB HDD (7200rpm, Serial-ATA)
256GB mSATA solid state drive (SSD)
    500GB HDD (7200rpm, Serial-ATA) [2nd Hard Disk Drive]
    16GB DDR3L 1600Mhz SDRAM (8GB + 8GB) - Expandable to 32GB
I do use my 2TB Western Digital My World Bood Edition II as NAS for backup of my household PC, as well as primary archived storage of my media (video, photo and music). This NAS is actually mirrored (1TB each) and 4 years old, I am considering purchasing at least one 2TB WD External Hardrive for "offsite" backup - though I'm also evaluating alternative archive and "safe" backup implementations.

Hi, After I try to load either an existing or new project in Adobe Premier Elements 9 I just get a blank grey screen with none of the timeline, etc. boxes on view. This has suddenly happened, one day OK next not! At the top of the screen I get the normal Pre icon, File, Edit, Clip, etc.
I am planning on purchasing Premier Elements 13, would it be better if I bought a new program rather than download an upgrade, just in case the upgrade doesn't load properly due to the error with my existing program?
If I the deleted Premier Elements 9 on my PC would I lose all my existing videos that were produced using Premier Elements 9 or would they be saved so that they can still be worked on in Premier Elements 13?
Does Premier Elements 13 work with Windows 7?
    Thanks

Premiere Elements 13 absolutely works with Windows 7!
In fact, I'd highly recommend you download the free trial and give it a test run.
Meantime, go to Windows Update and make sure you have all of the latest Windows updates, including those that don't install automatically. Then go to the nVidia or ATI site and ensure you have the latest driver for your graphics card, and go to Apple.com and ensure you have the latest version of Quicktime, per the program's requirements.

  • Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premier Elements to shut down.

I have Adobe Premier Elements 7. When I launch the application then try to begin using it an error is presented which advises Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premier Elements to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project.  When I click OK the program shuts down. I have tried fixes I have found on the Forum. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the program.

From the Premiere Elements Information FAQ http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1042180
•You MUST use an account with Administrator Privileges to run Premiere Elements
•(Doing Run as Administrator http://forums.adobe.com/thread/969395 [says Encore and also for "All" versions of Premiere] will sometimes fix "odd" errors)
•What version of Premiere Elements? Include the minor version number (e.g., Premiere Elements 12 with the 12.0.1 update).
•What operating system? This should include specific minor version numbers, like "Mac OSX v10.9.4"---not just "Mac"
•Has this ever worked before?  If so, do you recall any changes you made to Premiere Elements, such as adding Plug-ins, brushes, etc.?  Did you make any changes to your system, such as updating hardware, printers or drivers; or installing/uninstalling any programs?
•Have you installed any recent program or OS updates? (If not, you should. They fix a lot of problems.)
•What kind(s) of image file(s)? When talking about camera raw files, include the model of camera.
•If you are getting error message(s), what is the full text of the error message(s)?
•What were you doing when the problem occurred?
•What other software are you running?
•Tell us about your computer hardware. How much RAM is installed?  How much free space is on your system (C:) drive?
•How many and what speed are your hard drive(s)... ie 5400rpm or 7200rpm or?
    And some other questions...
•What are you editing, and does your video have a red line over it BEFORE you do any work?
•Which version of Quicktime do you have installed?
•What is your exact brand/model graphics adapter (ATI or nVidia or ???)
•What is your exact graphics adapter driver version?
•Have you gone to the vendor web site to check for a newer driver?
•For Windows, do NOT rely on Windows Update to have current driver information
•-you need to go direct to the vendor web site and check updates for yourself
