Comp disappears in custom view cam

hi all
I'm having a weird problem viewing my 3D comp in the "custom view" camera;
everything is fine until, at a specific frame on the timeline, my 3D comp simply disappears in the custom view window (i.e. I toggle back and forth between these two frames, and before it's there, after it's not). It's still visible in the "active camera" and other views--and I can't find any keyframes at that point that might be shutting it off, or otherwise obscuring it.
Plus it's just happening in custom view....
I'm using CS5.5 on Windows 7
Any ideas?

I do not know. You just start experimenting. But check the online help system first, look for everything you can find on the ortho views and custom views. The immediate issue with trying to position the camera manually is mimicking the lens and zoom parameters. The custom views do not have any lens characteristics.
Looking at the fist custom view, it look like a simple 45 degrees out and 45 degrees up. Those are going to be geometric calculations, easily performed based on pixels. You could us e a null object in the center of your comp and use it as the Point of Interest for you camera.

3D Render shows shadows/reflections in Custom View, but not in camera

All vector content, extruded text and a simple ground plain to catch shadows, 50% reflective.
The custom view shows all shadows & reflections correctly, but the camera will not show them.
I've deleted / re-created cameras, lights, floor plains AND objects without solving the issue - it's the first time it's occurred in many similar projects.
Win7 x64, 32Gb RAM (plenty), nVidia K5000 with 4GB handling previews & rendering. The problem persists even if switching to CPU rendering (which takes ages, obviously) so the driver is not to blame.
Any ideas?

If you start a new project, create a floor, add a 3D text layer, add a camera using one of the presets say 50mm lens, add a light and set up your extrusion and add shadows does it work? If not then reboot. If you can solve the problem with a new project then import your project that does not work and see if that works by copying and pasting layers one at a time into the comp that works to figure out where the differences lie. If that doesn't work try posting the project so we can take a look at it.

Is there any way to create custom views, like in Thunderbird & Evolution?

I have recently switched to Mac. Before this I was using Linux. For mail I used Thunderbird (TB) for many years, and then eventually switched to Evolution Mail (EM) for its smoother integration into Linux.
On both TB and EM I revolved my work flow around custom folder views. As new email came in I would label it (on EM, or tag it on TB). I have numerous inboxes (email accounts) so I would generally be starting out in a smart folder that displays all mail in each inbox. I would most of the time view that smart folder with a Custom View filter in place. The filter would simply display ONLY mail with NO tags/labels.
Once my filter inbox showed NO messages it meant I had labeled everything. I would them use other smart folders to display mail with certain labels AND NO "Completed" label. That way I could go to my "Reply ASAP" folder and see what needed my immediate attention. Each email I replied to I would then add the label COMPLETED and it would vanish from my view.
I explain the above in case someone has specific suggestions on how to achieve a similar workflow on Mail.
In short, what I am wondering is this:
- Is there a built in way to filter a folder on the spot (with a drop down list of predefined and custom Views) --- I have looked and so far did not find this feature
- Is there a way to do this with a script or add-on? I have looked at many and not found a suitable one yet.
I am appealing to the knowledge of those with more experience in Mail. It is new to me.
I am currently using TB on my Mac because it gives me the above feature. BUT it does not have the same degree of integration with the OS and other Mac specific apps that Mail has. Thus I am keen to stick with Mail.

In addition to above:
I have installed a trial of Mailtags. It certainly improves the tagging capability of Mail.
I have also looked at the Smart Mailboxes and Smart Mailbox Folders.
As far as I can tell, however, there is no option to set up a smart mailbox that ONLY shows message with NO LABEL or NO MAILTAG (as the case may be). I can display messages with particular TAGS but not NO tags.
Is there any way to add more options to the Smart Mailbox filter system?

No Response when submitting build for single-edition custom viewer app

I want to build a custom viewer app for a single-edition folio for the iPad using the Viewer Builder. I go through all the steps described by the help articles and videos, such as generating and downloading mobileprovision files and creating asset files. However, at the final step, where the viewer builder displays the text: 'Once you hit the Submit Build' button, your build will be queued. Click 'Finish' to return to your list of publications. I click 'Submit Build', and I get the progress bar which says 'Submitting to the build queue: This popup will disapper once complete'. Once the popup disappears, I click, 'Finish', and I am returned to the Manage screen. I can see a list item for each time I attempted to submit a build, but the Builds and Build Details Columns are blank, showing no builds. However, there is a link in the App Status Column to 'Activate' by entering a serial number. Is it necessary for me to enter my serial number before I can see the results of my build, or is there something wrong with the build process?

Yes, and you need to PAY for that serial number. Single Edition apps are $395 each.

New custom viewer v25 - few thoughts

i have few remarks for new custom viewer v25, which i've just prepared for one of our apps
- cover image for already downloaded folios is shown in low res compared to not downloaded folios (see screenshot - issue 01/2013 and 12/2012 are downloaded on device and covers are in lower quality than other covers)
- viewer still don't show Description
- i can't see what's free content and what's paid (for free sample issues) - do you really think that customer will tap through all issues to find one for free???
So this update is quite a disappointment for me. I hoped for improvements, but beside larger folio covers in standard view there are no other improvements and price/free information is now hidden from customer. Adobe, are you serious?

I don't understand what you have updated. All issues have same cover (1024x768, it's on iPad mini), so what i should update and why? Doesn't make sense. Just covers of downloaded issues are shown in low res and it's Adobe's fault, that they can't download full image from they server, or whatever.
Puting price/free tags on cover - yes, that's what came to my mind too, but hell, i don't want to make workarounds for Adobe's fault decisions! And i can't put exact price on cover, because issues are sold on App Store in € and on Google Play in local currency. So this is not making our live easier at all.
Again and again - new update and new disapointments. DPS is not fun anymore.

Need a custom viewer

OVERVIEW: I am a high school teacher in Costa Rica, Central
America. I am producing a series of lessons in Spanish on using
Microsoft Office applications. These lessons are being produced
using Camtasia Studio 4 in swf format. The lessons are to be
distributed to students on a CD to be viewed on "public" computers
(school, work, Internet Cafe) where no files can be uploaded to the
computer.
The minimum system available to the students is:

REQUIREMENT: I need to include on the CD a custom viewer that
will run from the CD and allow the student to view the lessons.
This viewer has to be a fixed custom size (small enough to fit in
the corner of the screen so that the student can view the lesson
and make entries on the application, such as Excel). The viewer has
to "stay on top" so that the student can make entries in the
application without the viewer disappearing. The viewer also has to
be customized with DVD/VHS type buttons like PLAY, PAUSE, BACK,
FORWARD with the buttons labeled in Spanish.
PLATFORM: Windows 95 through XP.
I am not a programmer. I have talked to several programmers
about creating this viewer in Zinc and mProjector and I am told
that these programs create applications that required high speed
CPU's and a lot of memory. Several have recommended Director
because it can be used to create an application that will run on
lower level computers.
I have a lot of students who want to learn. The lessons I
have created are good and I need a way to deliver them to the
students. Is there someone out there who is a Director programmer
who would be interested in contributing their knowledge and
expertise to help with this project?

There is option called supported language in app builder. iTunes displays the languages in which the viewer app is available. The viewer interface is translated into multiple languages, but your folio content most likely isn’t. Select at least one language in which your viewer should appear.
If you want content in French, in that case you need to create content in French language and that would be a separate app.
With DPS single edition you can create only one single issue app and can update same within one year. You need to purchase another DPS single edition license.
You can purchase CCM subscription, in which you can create unlimited single issue apps.

A custom view in the Edit drop-down

Hi,
How could I create a custom view and add it to the Edit List Item drop-down in SharePoint 2013? This screenshot shows what I mean in SharePoint 2010:
I'd like to have a menu item Custom View below Edit Properties in the drop-down list. When the user clicks the item I'd like to redirect to my layout page.

Error while adding a attribute to the the Custom view through a wizard

Hi ,
I have created a new custom view with value node through wizard succesfully.
Now I want to add a new attribute to that node.I am trying to do that by a wizard.
But i am getting the follwing error " Error during analysis of Source Code" although i have
commented or removed my all custom code from that view.
I tried adding the new aattributes in the metthods "IF_BSP_MODEL~INIT " and
"GET_TABLE_LINE_SAMPLE " manually but that also does not worked.
Plz help me with this asap.

Hi Sharad,
I hope all your classes are active. In case you want to add a new attribute there are two steps.
1.Right click on context node and create attribute, it opens a wizard and continue. This will add the field in the context node and generate the getter-setter methods.
2. In the above two method whcih you mentioned add the new field in the structure of value node. And then create your own getter-setter methods. and activate it. After this you will be able to see the attribute added in the context node.
By using any of the two approaches you will be able to see teh new field in the configuration.

Unable to populate the Custom Views on UI for the component BP_FACTSHEET

I am working on a requirement on Interaction Center 7.0 .In this i have enhanced the component BP_FACTSHEET and created new Custom views in it. But i am unable to bring those custom views on the UI. As, we know that in this component there is no concept of overview set also.

First you have to enhance the component BP_FACTSHHET .After that configure ur coustom view in fachsheet id BP_ACCOUNT_FS in SPRO.After that go to component BSP_DLC_FS,where you have to configure the ur view in specfic tiles which is display in web ui for specific to business roll.here you can find the ur fachsheet id and custom view.this component is automatically call when you launch fachsheet in web ui for specific business partner under account tab.

Based on the above requirement, You want to create a Dashboard view with Specific alerts but not all right ?
Based on my understanding on your above requirement i created one in my SCOM. Please let me know if this is what you really wanted ?
For the below you really need to know what are those alerts, ONLY those alerts you want to be displayed in the dashboard.
Then Go to the Monitoring tab in SCOM and then Right click Active alerts and select New -> Select New Alert view
When you select new alert view you will need to specify the Resolution state and the Specific alerts you want.
In the below example i have selected "MSExchange Active sync Alert" as a example. So my goal is here such that only the alerts i have specified from my selection ( "MSExchange Active sync Alert") if it appears in New state will appear
in this view not all other alerts.
So for that i just used the below options:
Resolution state & Alert name
Resolution state = New
Alert name = %MSExchange XXXXXXXX%
Also as of i see there was no option for entering multiple alert names. But i think there is and i am still trying as it accepts some SQL Wild cards. So if any one has an idea what is the wild card what is to be used to mention multiple names in that Name

I did eventually release the console extension (see screen shot at the bottom of the page
here).
It has been a while since I worked on this code but as I remember, once I got the references straightened out (see this thread), a lot of the confusion I had was just understanding that some of the programming that had to be done was in WPF (not WinForm).
The sample code from Microsoft does work though.
I never was able to figure out how to tie the "tree node menu item" functionality into the Ribbon (at the top of the SCCM console) so that is still on my TODO list.
So, my advice to you is to start with the Microsoft example code (which I did) from the SCCM SDK and if you get compile time errors, look first for the SCCM assembly references (Microsoft.[ConfigurationManagement, ConfigurationManagement.ManagementProvider,
EnterpriseManagement.UI.Foundation, EnterpriseManagement.UI.WpfViews) and then at the WPF assembly references (PresentationCore, PresentationFramework) for missing class references.

Computer AND iTunes don't recognize my iPod touch. Comp thinks it is a camera. iTunes won't bring up devices at all. I've already uninstalled iTunes and QT and reinstalled after problem that happened when I updated iTunes... getting beyond P/Oed!!!

Computer AND iTunes don't recognize my iPod touch. Comp thinks it is a camera or something. iTunes won't bring up devices at all. I've already uninstalled iTunes and QT and reinstalled after problem that happened when I updated iTunes - updated iTunes completely demolished my computer's ability to recognize the sound card and computer had NO sound at all. I had to uninstall iTunes, QT, AND my sound card and reinstall them all. Sound worked fine, but now I can't sync my iPod. Computer recognizes that "something" is hooked up (thinks it might possibly be a camera) and I get that "open with" window. In "my computer" it shows that there is an "iPod" connected, but it is pictured as a camera. In iTunes my username is no longer appearing (although account info is there) and NO devices whatsoever get listed. There is nothing wrong with my USB ports or cable. And of course Apple won't help anyone unless you pay them to. ... I am getting beyond P/Oed!!! You pay hundreds for a product and all you get are headaches with their stupid bug infested software and no support at all.
Can anyone out there help me clean up this unbelievable mess Apple and iTunes has created in my computer?

After three completely wasted days trying to figure all of this out I finally got it fixed - on my own - by reading dozens and dozens of rogue posts in indie forums from people that refuse to dish out money to have a company TRY and advise possible fixes on their own glitches.
(here's a novel idea - fix the glitches Apple. Or - don't send out updates filled with bugs in the first place)
Everything (several applications) had to be uninstalled in a very specific order and then restarted , then it all had to be verified with manual deletions of leftovers, and emptying the recycle bin, then another restart, then iT had to be reinstalled again and the system restarted again, and two more update downloads. Holy!!!
I love my little iPod touch, but I honestly must say, when this kind of thing happens (and it has several times now when I try to deal with iTunes or Apple), it makes me want to flush it down the toilet.
