Company Email Forwarding Help

Hi,
our company has our domain bought through 123-reg.co.uk, which has given me an email address of [email protected]
All our emails are forwarded through gmx.co.uk.
I have setup my email account on my iphone as follows:
Name: me
address:[email protected]
username:[email protected]
incoming mail server:pop.gmx.com
outgoing mail server:smtp.gmx.com
i am recieving all my emails to [email protected] with no problems.
when I go to send an email I get the following error message: 'Cannot send mail - The sender address was invalid'.
would anyone have any idea what the problem is?
these seem to be the same settings that I use on my outlook and I did use on my blackberry.

Its possible that GMX do not like you sending out emails with the 'from' address not being one of their addresses. It would appear to some systems that you are faking the response address like spammers do to disguise the sender. Ss GMX is a free service, its pretty likely.
Or a whole host of other reasons I guess.
Have you asked GMX ?
And why not just send the emails direct from your company website hosted facilities ? If you have www.blahblah.co.uk then you should have a mails ever you can use for outgoing mail rather than forwarding everythng to GMX ?

  • Company email access denied to iphone users due to security issues, help!

I am interested in purchasing an iphone but my company said they won't allow access to our company email with the iphone due to security issues. Any one else heard of that? Is there some way for me to forward my company email to the account I would set up under the itunes? It seems there are a lot of unhappy people out there with these phones, are there any happy users out there? It seems like such a cool device and I want one but don't want to get stuck with something I can't use or that I am going to have problems with.

Of course there are happy users.
These discussions are like a hospital for Mac products with nothing but problems reported here. If you based a decision on purchasing an Apple product, any product on these discussions, you would never purchase any. Coming to the conclusion here that there are no happy users and the iPhone is nothing but problems would be like visiting a local hospital in your area full of patients (all are) and coming to the conclusion that everyone in your community must be sick and/or dying.
What type of email account - POP, IMAP or Exchange through an Exchange Server?
Accessing an email account on an iPhone is no different than accessing the account with a computer. Funny that your company claims the iPhone has security issues and prevents access but certainly allows PCs running Windows to access company email accounts? Sorry but this is my biggest laugh of the day - not at you but at your company. Your company has loads of security issues and concerns with any version of Windows accessing their network than they would ever come close to with an iPhone accessing the incoming mail server to download messages.
If your company allows for email account forwarding, you can do so.

  • Problems forwarding BIS email please help !!

I have finally decided to change from my 9930 to my new Q10
I tried going to the forwarding website and filled in all the information and where I wanted it forwarded to but it keeps coming up with "username and password don't match"
    So I am confused ??
Do I de-activate my 9930 BEFORE I attempt to forward my email ??
If I do that will I be able to use my PC to go to the forwarding page to forward my emails ??
Lastly I can't do anything b/c it is saying that my email password doesn't match my BB email but I am positive it does !! I actually went into the BIS email site with my password and changed the password to a new one because my old password was from such a long time ago it didn't have any upper/lower case and numbers so I changed it to a new one that had the required format..
I still am getting the same message from the forwarding page
Can someone please help me ?? Do I need to deactivate my old device first before it will accept my forward request ??
Thanks for any help in advance...
    Best Regards,
    C J

Your BIS account emails with Verizon, please look over this Knowledge Base article. Is this what you're using to setup the BIS email forwarding to your new Q10?
BlackBerry (hosted) email address forwarding for BlackBerry 10 OS
To answer your question, no you do not have to deactivate email on your 9930, however, your new Q10 does not use BIS email, but a normal generic data plan. However, IF Verizon has changed that BIS data plan to a generic data plan it might have already disabled your BIS account login.

  • Need detailed instructions on how to receive company emails on iPhone

I'm not extremely technical savvy but can work my way through most things. I would like to set up my wife's iPhone email so she can receive (and respond to) her company emails on her iPhone. What options do I have and how do I do it?
    Thank you.

I have no hope of my IT group ever supporting the
iPhone, so I have my emails redirected (using the
Outlook rule) to [email protected] I then created a
GMail account on my iPhone using the Other shortcut,
so I could specify [email protected] as my address. So
now, a copy of all my emails gets forwarded to my
GMail account, I can respond and it looks like its
coming from [email protected], and when I get back to
the office all my emails are still there waiting to
be downloaded, so I can delete them all as they come
    in on my iPhone.
Thanks for the idea - good work around. I like the idea that any responses using the iPhone would look like the business email address to the recipients (and presumably any response made would go to the business email address?). Can I do this on a Yahoo email account, or it only something available on Gmail accounts?

  • Company email through exchange

I have tried every way possible to get my storm 2 to activate with my company email and will not connect?  Why?  I talked with my IT department and they have supplied us with all the information.  It wants an exchange URL, and I have provided that URL for outlook web access and the server and will not accept it.
My IT does not have an answer and neither does Verizon.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
To clarify your situation, please clarify if this is OWA via BIS or if it is BES? From what you say, I can perhaps guess both.
If it is BES (but NOT BES-X), then check with your mobile service provider to be sure that you have a full BES-level data plan and continue working with your BES admins and your carrier to get this working.
On the other hand, if this is OWA via BIS, then in my experience, OWA can be very difficult to configure via the device interface to BIS (Setup > Email Settings). In my case, I was never successful via the device interface. Rather, I needed to use a PC/browser and log into my carriers web interface to BIS...you can find yours via this portal:
    http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/Where_can_I_log_into_my_BIS_account%3F
You will have to create credentials for BIS -- I found the simplest way to do that actually via the device interface...create the credentials there, then they will already be configured on your carriers BIS website (from the above link) for your use from a PC/browser.
Now, use the link above (from a PC/browser) and log into your carriers BIS website (using the credentials you created on your device interface). Then very carefully follow the instructions in this KB to configure BIS for your OWA email. Go very slowly and do each and every step carefully...especially the mailbox name...that's usually the trickiest and most crucial.
Here are some other links that might prove helpful:
KB18567 BlackBerry Internet Service cannot connect to a Microsoft Outlook Web Access account using Microsoft Exchange 2007 or Microsoft Exchange 2010
KB02858 Unable to integrate a Microsoft Outlook Web Access email address with a BlackBerry Internet Service account
That all said, it is still possible that it won't work. There are scenarios where OWA admins have done one of two things:
Implemented ISA -- this prevents BIS from integrating the account
Blocked, in their firewall, the ability for the BIS servers to access the email server
Good luck and let us know!

  • Unable to set up BIS account and company emails

    Hi,
    I have the following story:
I changed carrier last week, until that everything worked fine, my yahoo, google and company emails. I use BIS.
Now, I am not able to setup my company email, but my other emails work ok, m phone is registered. I use these emails since many years and had 3-4 different bb models, having no problem to setup all of them.
So, i tried my new carrier's website to create a new account, I got the following message:
    Cannot create account:
This action cannot be performed using a browser on a computer. Use the email setup application on your BlackBerry® smartphone to create an account.
I called my previous carrier, they say tham my PIN is deleted from their system.
My current carrier (vodafone hungary) says taht everything is fine from their side, it should work. And I have to fix my company email. When I try to set it up, I got the message that the server is not responding.
    Any idea?

Thank you for all of those answers...they help a great deal.
You should talk with your work email admins to see if there's anything special about their system that needs to be accommodated in your configuration. Also, have them review this KB to be sure that they've opened up all that is required for BIS to properly integrate:
KB11036 Firewall and connection requirements for the BlackBerry Internet Service
Further, if the auto-configs do not properly sense what is needed, you may need to use advanced configuration...you select that by intentionally providing your correct email address, but an incorrect password. The next screen that should come up has a check-box for you to say you will provide manual settings...check that and then put into the fields what your email admins tell you is needed. That may perhaps work. It's called advanced integration, and here's the relevant KB:
KB10154 How to integrate a POP or IMAP email account through advanced integration
While rare, it is also possible for some internet-facing email systems to not be able to configure into BIS. However, since you say you had this email account previously working on your BB, this result would not be logical -- unless the email admins changed something on their side.
I am curious about two of your responses though...those you talk about re-registering and creating a new account. One BB PIN can have only one BIS account at any given time (and only on one carrier at a time). So, unless your BIS account were first deleted, you would of course fail to be able to create a new one.
It is also possible that perhaps you indeed are not providing the proper credentials when you configure...if there is a combination of numbers and symbols in your credentials, then you need to be especially careful when entering those, especially via the device interface. For instance, if your password is
    ab123
    and you enter
    a > b > ALT > 1 > 2 > 3
    the actual result will be
    ab1er
    You must enter
    a > b > ALT > 1 > ALT > 2 > ALT > 3
in order to wind up with ab123. So, in this example, while on the BB keyboard you think you are typing ab123, you are actually typing ab1er.
You may also need to take that risk of having a Vodafone rep attempt configuring this into your account for you.
Good luck and let us know!

  • Hey apple, why don't you just fix your email forwarding?

There is a lot of problems described in this comunity about icloud email forwarding.
Personally I, spent a lot of time to make this fa***g email forwarding work. But it doesn't work.
I started yesterday, but only today morning I got an email from apple that it is enabled. But it doesn't work.
If it is not work properly - just disable it and people won't spend a lot time wondering it is work or not.
Also, I have tried to setup google POP3 "Check mail from other accounts" , but icloud mail doesn't support POP3 protocol.
So, apple, why don't you just fix your email forwarding? or disable it forever?

  • PowerShell Script to Create a Contact Card and Enable Email Forwarding

    Exchange 2010
Can anyone help with creating a powershell script to create a contact card and set email forwarding at the sametime?
I'm looking to import a list of 200 users via a text or csv file, create the contact card with first name, middle initial if one exists, last name, (no alias) and put the contact card in the following OU "DIS###" in the a.b.c.com domain as well
    as enable forwarding to @mail.com.
I've been able to create a script to enable mail forwarding but it doesn't help me without a contact card.  I hate to put this upon anyone, but my ps scripting and Exchange knowledge is still in it's infant stage and I need get this done post haste

Q:Import csv: Does this contain 200 mailboxes name
A:It contains 200 user logon names.
    For the mail forwarding:
I currently have a csv file with two columns -- one named displayname and the next call mailaddress.  Under the displayname column I have the users account name (first.mi.last -- middle initial if they have one) and under mailaddress i have @mail.com.
    script:
    Import-CSV C:\setmailforwarding\mailforwarding.csv | foreach-Object{Get-Mailbox $_.displayname | set-Mailbox -forwardingAddress $_.mailaddress}
The above script should work if the contact card has been created.  Obviously I need to create the card first.
I don't have a script to set up the contact card as of yet -- I was hoping to get some help on that.
Q:E-mail forwarding: Is this  from  mailboxes to mail contact, you will be creating
A:Not really sure what you are asking.  I'm looking to create the contact card with a csv or txt file for first name, middle initial if one exists, last name, (no alias) and put the contact card in the following OU "DIS###" in the a.b.c.com domain as
well as enable forwarding to @mail.com.  The users current email is @mail.1234.com and we will be migrating our mailboxes to another organization that uses @mail.com.  I will need to set forwarding in the interim until the migration is complete.
    Hope this helps.

  • Can't add/verify company email

I was receiving my company e-mail up until a week ago.  The company switched servers and now I can now I can no longer validate the email address.  I deleted the e-mail address thinking that I would just re-enter it.  It will not let me re-enter the e-mail address either.  My company refuses to help because the help desk does not support hand held devices.  Please help!!!

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!
You did not say, but it sounds as if you are not on BES. So you are BIS -- but, with what email interface?
If this is OWA, then I suggest using, via PC/Browser, your carrier interface to BIS rather than the device interface to BIS. Be sure that you can use OWA completely from a PC first so that you know you have the correct settings. See this KB for guidelines.
However, depending on what they did, they may be blocking your use in this manner. Since there's no way for us to know what they did, this is purely a guess. But, see this KB.
If it is not OWA, then let us know...

  • HT201320 on my iPad3, i have my company email address and my gmail email account and yahoo email account.  i send out email using my company's email account, but the recipient recieves mail as the From: my gmail account.  why is this happening?

on my ipad3, i have a company email account, gmail account, and a yahoo account. my issue is that when using my company email account (making sure that my company email account is on the From: field), the recepient on the over end receives it with my google email account on the From:.  and so when they reply, it goes to my gmail account.
Please note that my "default email" is yahoo.com on the ipad's settings - > mail.
i do not have any forwarding and this only happens on my ipad.
    Advice is appreciated. Thank you

  • I have a Domain name with email forwarding to my Service Provider which worked very well when I had a PC. Now I have iMac and have changed to IMAP from POP3 so I can sync. between iMac and iPad but how?

I have a Domain name with email forwarding to my Service Provider which worked very well when I had a PC. Now that I have iMac I have changed the account type to IMAP from POP3 so I can sync. between iMac and iPad but how?
I do receive emails into my iMac for which I have 3 email accounts but am struggling on how synchronise between iMac and iPad so that both are up to date at all times.  I have also set up a iCloud email account thinking this was the way to go but have drawn a blank.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

    Linc Davis,
I have set up my email address both within my iMac and my ISP as IMAP accounts and I receive all emails without problem on my iMac. I have also set up an iCloud email address using my iMac.
I have enabled the email within "setting" on my iPad and have used the iCloud account.  I have sent emails from the iMac to iPad using the iCloud account address and vice versa.  I have also sent emails from the iPad to the iMac using my non-iCloud email address and they have gotten through.
The one thing I would like to have is for the iPad "mail" mailboxes to mimic the iMac "mail" mailboxes and both to be "in sync".  I am not really interested in using the iCloud email address for my email but would really like to use my "normal" addresses as these are what most people know me by.
Do I need to set additional accounts within the iPad which are the same as the email accounts I have within the iMac and my ISP?  I have reached the end of my knowledge as regards email synchronsing.
    Thanks

  • Email Forwarding on an on-prem mailbox to Office 365 mailbox

    Hi All,
I need to put forwarding in place on a user's mailbox which is now on our on-prem Exchange 2013 server (we have hybrid deployment). I need to deliver to mailbox and forward to another user's mailbox of which is in Office 365. (The user has left and we move
mailboxes back to our on-prem Exchange when users leave).
I used to be able to do this when we had Exchange 2010 on prem via EMC, but don't seem to be able to do this via EAC on Exchange 2013. If I go to mailbox features on the mailbox I want to put the forwarding on, and then mail flow, and then browse to select
the receipient - it doesn't show me recipients in Office 365.
Any help on how to correctly put forwarding on an on-prem mailbox to a mailbox in Office 365, would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hi
Just use the management shell as described here Configure
    email forwarding for a mailbox
Set-Mailbox -Identity "OnPrem mailbox" -ForwardingSMTPAddress "Office 365 mailbox"
That works for forwardings from onprem to Office 365
    Hope that helps.

  • How can i receive my company email address on my Imac and iphones

how can I convert my company email to a more usable email program on mac and Iphones

How about configuring Mac Mail to automatically fetch and send it? You'd need to configure it (and/or possibly your company's so their server knows what to do with the emails) - check your company's email server settings and figure out if it's POP or IMAP and if one or the other is required. Once you have all the info, you should be able to set it up with Mail.
P.S. While in Mail, go to the Help menu and type in either IMAP or POP and read the tips about setting them up.
