COMPARING TWO FORMS

Hi Dear All
I have a small issue related to forms, I have a form called PO , User wants to open two PO form and want to do the comparison. Is it possible to open something like tile window or something else. So By pressing tab it moves to another window . Thanks . Expecting ur Reply.
Satish

Sorry I think I didnt Explain the problem clearly,
I have a menu called PO in the Submenu I have item called PO, If i click the item PO the PO form will open , user enters the details , before closing the form ,user wants to open One more PO form and want to perform some operations in the new form. (ie) they want to open two or three instance of the same form and they want to compare. If I use open_form only one time i can open the form because we will not be able to see the menu bar. If i use call_form i can open many form but i cannot switch from one form to another, If i want to switch i have to close the other form which is opened.
Hope this is clear. Pls help me out.

  • How an i compare the two forms ( script) that are in two systems ?

    Hi,
    How can I compare the two forms(sap script)  which are in different versions  or systems? One form is in D22 and other form is P22 .
    My requirement is to change the form when they are different.
    Thanks,
    Suresh.

    Hi,
    You can download the form info for each script and compare these two files.
    In the SAPscript choose Utilities -> Form info and save this as a file.  As they are structured in the same format you can then look for differences in these files rather than having to look through the form window by window.

    Okay, say the above is my table, how do I compare two cells in a row for two numbers? Say I wanted to find out if row A2 contained a 7 and a 28?
    "A2" is an address for a single cell, not a row. Its current content, assuming no empty rows above or empty columns left of what's shown, is "Jan 4, 2011". Perhaps you mean Row 2, or the range B2:G2.
    Assuming that you want to know 'if' (or 'how many times') two specific numbers occur in the range of cells from column B to column G in a single row, COUNTIF is the function you want.
    Place the two target numbers into cell I1 and J1.
    Enter the formula below into I2:
    =COUNTIF($B2:$G2,I$1)
    Fill the formula right into J2, then fill both down to row 4.
    You'll get a count of the occurrences of each number.
    If you want only a "Yes" (both numbers appear in the range) or "No" (neither of the numbers appear, or one appears but not the other), use this variation (in I2 or J2):
    =IF(AND(COUNTIF($B2:$G2,I$1)>0,COUNTIF($B2:$G2,J$1)>0),"Yes","No")

  • Error while comparing 6i forms

    Hi !
    I'm getting an error when trying to compare two different versions of a form. The tool displays a windows showing the following info :
    AppName: ckron61.exe     AppVer: 90.4.2.8     ModName: jvm.dll
    ModVer: 1.4.2.60     Offset: 000a4bbf
    After it OSCM crashes and closes automatically... I though it was a problem with the jvm configuration but other options using java are working fine (like the show version history option).
    Do you have any ideas about it ?
    Olman.

    Hi,
    Did you try the suggested solution in the document referenced above and see if it helps?
    Can you find any errors in the database log file?
    If none of the above helps, please enable FRD and post the complete error message here (Note: 438652.1 - R12: Forms Runtime Diagnostics (FRD), Tracing And Logging For Forms In Oracle Applications).

  • Comparing two PDFs using Compare Documents utility in Acrobat Pro in command line

    I have a need to compare two PDFs based on text, images, annotations, formatting, headers/footers, styles etcetera. The Adobe acrobat pro tool is working very good as per my requirements. I need to call it through Java program or command line. It could be something which takes the two PDFs as argument and compare options as Pro version have - text, images, annotations, formatting, headers/footers and background and generates the list of differences. It could return the differences either in a form of pdf document highlighting the differences or the map which is mapping something like page numbers to the details of differences that are appearing.
    This would be very helpful. Please answer asap.
    Thanks in advance.

    Sounds like you want to do this on a server, but you should know that Adobe Acrobat cannot legally be used on a server.
    For server-based PDF operations you can look at Adobe LiveCycle products or our Adobe PDFLibrary (available in both Java and C++)

  • VORowImpl problem - comparing two ROW[] lists

    Hi Everyone,
    I have a huge proble right now, I'm trying to compare two VO list with the same values, this is because one it's attached to an advancedtable in the xml page wich the user can change some values, and the other one is from the values of the table but from the DB, the reason is to made a validation to compare the original values from the DB with the list from the tabla and update only the rows that the users made changes in their values, here's my code for a better explain of what I'm doing:
    public void saveChanges(){
    OADBTransactionImpl oadbtransactionimpl = (OADBTransactionImpl)getDBTransaction();
    Row[] rows1 = getAppVO1().getAllRowsInRange();
    Row[] rows2 = getDBVO1().getAllRowsInRange();
    for(int i = 0; i < rows1.length; i++){
    int j = i;
    //Colections to compare
    //r1: colection from the app
    //r2: colection from BD
    AppVORowImpl r1 = (AppVORowImpl) rows1;
    DBVORowImpl r2 = (DBVORowImpl) rows2[j]; //<--- here in the second iteration appears the following error:
    // "oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 1"
    //variables string to check if got changes in the column
    String columnAPP = r1.getId().toString();
    String columnBD = r2.getId().toString();
    //'if' that validates changes
    if(!columnAPP.equals(columnBD)){
    //String variable SP
    StringBuilder procedureCall = new StringBuilder();
    //calling to SP
    try{
    procedureCall.append("... stored proc...");
    OracleCallableStatement oraclecallablestatement = (OracleCallableStatement)oadbtransactionimpl.createCallableStatement(procedureCall.toString(), -1);
    oraclecallablestatement.execute();
    getOADBTransaction().commit();
    }catch(SQLException sqlexception){
    System.err.println("SQL Exception: "+ sqlexception.getMessage());
    getOADBTransaction().rollback();
    throw OAException.wrapperException(sqlexception);
    }catch(Exception e){
    System.err.println("Exception: "+ e.getMessage());
    getOADBTransaction().rollback();
    throw OAException.wrapperException(e);
    the first iteration works fine, but the second and futher shows an exception error, what can I do to make this method works?
    I'll be pending to your answers, I really hope you can help me with this one

  • Comparing two Calendar dates

    No question. Just a comment with code example.
    Yesterday I was having issues comparing two Calendar dates. They looked equal in my println statement, but they failed the test. The solution evaded my cafeine intensified brain for hours. Then it hit me. Print out the time in milliseconds and see if the numbers were the same. Nope. Why?
    The problem was that in the real world, you get dates from all over the place, not just cooked up for a text book example. (Don't you just hate those text book examples in their unrealistic world?) Anyway, I was getting a date from an HTML form and a data from a database and comparing the two once I had converted them both to a Calendar object. This seemed a reasonable choice.
    Well, the java.sql.Date that the Oracle driver returned which was converted to a java.util.Date was fine. I ran this into a Calendar with the call calS.setTime(dbDate). The form date was split into fields and put into a difference Calendar obj with the call calF.set(fYear, fMonth, fDay, 0, 0, 0). This too seemed reasonable. Then a call to calS.equls(calF) resulted in a false even though the actual dates were in fact the same.
    The problem was with the time. The java.sql.Date (calS) had a time of 00:00:00 which was fine. The calendar from the form also had 00:00:00 for a time since I initialized it with zeros. Hummmmm. Now what? As mentioned before, I decided to print out the actuall time in milliseconds and that gave me my answer. The two calendars were off by only milliseconds, but that's why. You see, the equals method of Calendar compares two dates/time in milliseconds. You can see this in the source for yourself. It's not difficult to read at all. Download and open the api source file, src.zip, and locate Calendar.java in the java.util directory.
    The fix was to add calF.set(Calendar.MILLISECOND, 0) and calS.set(Calendar.MILLISECOND, 0) to zero out the milliseconds in each Calendar object. That did the trick. Here's example code of the problem (test1) and the solution (test2). I tried to simulate as close to real world as possible. If you have a better solution or I've made some error, please let me know. I'm always looking for better ways.
    Main.java
    import java.util.Calendar;
    import java.util.Date;
    import java.text.SimpleDateFormat;
    public class Main {
        private int fYear = 2003;
        private int fMonth = 3;  // march
        private int fDay = 14;
        public static void main(String[] args) {
            Main main = new Main();
            main.test1();
            main.test2();
        public void test1() {
            SimpleDateFormat df = new SimpleDateFormat();
            // get the date from the form
            Calendar calF = Calendar.getInstance();
            calF.set(fYear, fMonth-1, fDay, 0, 0, 0);  // month starts at 0 - so march would be 2
            System.out.println("From form date:     [" + df.format(calF.getTime()) + "] [" + calF.getTimeInMillis() + "]");

            Date myDate = so.getTheDate();
            Calendar calS = Calendar.getInstance();
            calS.setTime(myDate);
            System.out.println("Shared Object date: [" + df.format(calS.getTime()) + "] [" + calS.getTimeInMillis() + "]");
            // compare the two calendars for equality
            if (calS.equals(calF)) {
                System.out.println("The same");
            else {
                System.out.println("NOT the same");
        public void test2() {
            SimpleDateFormat df = new SimpleDateFormat();

            Date myDate = so.getTheDate();

            calF.set(Calendar.MILLISECOND, 0);
            System.out.println("Shared Object date: [" + df.format(calS.getTime()) + "] [" + calS.getTimeInMillis() + "]");

            if (calS.equals(calF)) {
                System.out.println("The same");
            else {
                System.out.println("NOT the same");

            catch (Exception ex) {
                ex.printStackTrace();
            return d;
    } The output
    From form date:     [3/14/03 12:00 AM] [1047621600296]
    Shared Object date: [3/14/03 12:00 AM] [1047621600000]
    NOT the same
    From form date:     [3/14/03 12:00 AM] [1047621600000]
    Shared Object date: [3/14/03 12:00 AM] [1047621600000]
    The same

    So your post boils down to the fact that Calendar's set(year, month, day, hour, minute, second) method doesn't change the milliseconds fraction?
    Given that there is this method, I guess it would be nice if there was a method that simultaneously set all fields, but the API does state:
    Previous values of other fields are retained. If this is not desired, call clear() first.

  • Comparing two elapsed timer readings

    Hi everyone,
    I'm a new user of Labview, so I'm teaching myself as I go along really. I've come up against a problem though. I'm trying to compare two timer readings from elapsed timers. Eventually I am hoping to swap these timers for a pair of light beams inputted through a DAQ chassis. Initially though I wanted to get the content of my program correct, without having to have the equipment connected to my laptop.
    I have attached my progress so far, apologies if my query has an obvious solution. As I say I'm a bit of an beginner! How would I take the two elasped timers log the times found off the timers, compare which one has a greater value and consequently start a new timer depending on this. I would then like to log this time in data form.
    I've tried to compare the two elasped timers with greater than booleans etc but I cant seem to get it to work?
    As I say I hope to use this idea in a time gate sort of application where depending on which light beam is broken first depends on which timer is started. Hope my explanation is clear.
    Any help is much appreciated,
    Thanks very much!

    PT-
    Looking at your code you have a few problems that you will need to address.  Read the LabVIEW help section titled "Caveats and Recommendations when Using Events in LabVIEW."  You have some latching booleans controls that are incorrectly placed.  The terminals should be in the event case that handles the value change event.
    Why two event structures?  One structure is a better Idea you can handle all your events with 1 loop (and avoid stopping the loops independantly- this can lead to a condition where the vi becomes unresponsive.
    The lower loop compares the start times to two different timestamps.  This is introducing potential errors since there is timing relationship between the calls to the system timer.  and the lower case structures are rather insane- in english they resolve to "if started return how long its been since started else return 0"  Check the NI website there is a CLD practice exam solution (Car Wash) that has a pretty good example and discussion of using the elapsed timer express vi.  It might point you in a better direction than where you are going.
    Why not use the time terminals in the event structure?  thats the time the event fired.  But, you might want the time the event was handled I don't Know-  (hint-comment your code and write SOMETHING in the vi documentation.  Eventually you'll be writing more complex code so start developing good habits now)  (good habits--)
    Come on back when you've looked at some of the examples and I'ld be glad to help you more.

  • Comparing two Micro soft word files

    Hello i want to compare two word files & i want to store the changes to some ztable .
    Problem what i am facing is when i use Gui_upload to upload data from both files i am getting data in encrypted form not able to compare it .
    please suggest some method/function module to compare two files & track the changes done .
    Its very urgent!

    Hello Mrutyunjaya Tripathy ,
    thanks for replying me .
    store the data of word file in a text file i.e u mean to say it manually .
    IS this what u mean whatever data i have in word file i should save this in text file & then compare it I know this works but users wont accept that ie its not user friendly.
    My requirement is i have to open word file save it  with diff name & save the changes to data base.
    1)So could you suggest me some way that convert word  file to text file  using some function module.
    2)Read data from word file so that data comes in proper  manner ie in normal text.
    3)some other means to compare word files without creating any extra notepad manually.because it has to be used periodically.

  • How to get HttpServletRequest parameters from two forms in a JSP

    I have this JSP with two forms calling the same servlet. Problem is, when I use a submit button in the second form, I am unable to retrieve the request parameters from the form through the servlet. I am wondering if anybody could give me some info on how to get the request parameters from the second form. I tried to see all the parameter names in the request by calling request.getParameterNames(). But the parameters in the second form are not even seen in the request although I am clicking the submit button in this form!

    First, two forms works fine in one jsp so no need to argue about that.
    Second, did you put the form actions and type ("multipart/formdata " ?) explicit in every form header ? Did you supply different form names ?
    Try to call the submit function through javascript - document.forms[0].submit() for your first, and document.forms[1].submit() for your second form...
    Did you forget to close the form tag by chance ?

  • Compare two similar objects

    Do you know about any possible Java bugs with JDK update?
    In my case, my code stopped working.
    Here is what I have. There are two similar objects, but Object 1 has key, and Object 2 (same as Object 1) has no key. I need to compare both, and if they are equal, I need Object 1 to assign key to Object 2.
    It worked before. How I can get around.
    Please help me if you can.
    Respectfully,
    Alex

    Let me change the question:
    "Can we compare two objects one with key and another one without key? How?

  • Compare two Java Objects without Comparable / Comparator

    Hi Friends,
    I would like to compare two java objects (lots o attributes) without using Comparable / Comparator.
    Any suggestion/sample code would be helpful.
    Thanks,
    Sachin

    I suppose you could design another feature to compare Objects... but that would involve a design process, so asking for sample code is definitely premature. And as EJP says, what would be the point?
    At least that's what I would answer if this was one of those stupid interview questions.
