Double actual cost in Profitability Analysis for cancelled billing doc

Dear expert
Say we have a billing doc posted in May, and we run ML closing and KE27 during month end closing, which transfered actual cost from material ledger to value field in PA.
In June, we cancelled that billing document, the question is why the system automatically posted actual cost of cancelled billing docs to value field in PA right away (without KE27)?
The reason I asked is because when we run KE27 for June closing, the SAP transfer again actual cost from material ledger to value field in PA. So we will have double posting of actual cost for cancelled billing document
Please help, which setting did I missed to prevent SAP automatically posted actual cost of cancelled billing docs to value field in PA right away (without KE27)?

Thats because you had double +ve also..
Let me u/s your situation better
1.PGI Posted COGS of Say, 100
2. KE27 posted, say, addnl 20
So, total COGS is now 120
3. You posted a reversal now... It should post -100 and not -120.... Is it posting -120?
Run KE27 for this month and see if it really posts -120 again... If it does, raise an OSS message to SAP... They are liable to help
In my opinion, there is no Config set up for this... At best, you can try to assign different VF in KE4R for PV = 02 as compared to PV=01 and see if it helps

    Dear Team,
    We had a requirement when standard material cost estimate is executed we can get the standard price for main material as well as by product for which values are flowing to COPA (T.code KE30).
    The scenario works fine for Main Product, since the actuals as well as Costs are flowing to COPA. Where as only actuals are posting to byproduct as there are no separate cost estimate for Byproduct.
    So only acutals are caputured to Profitability analysis.
    At present we are manually changing the price of the byproduct material through MR21 which is constant through out the period.
    Our requirement:- Since Byproduct doesnt have any separate BOM and Routing, Is it possible to capture this byproducts price to COPA.
    or
    capturing of COGS for this byproducts price is also ok.
    Please anybody can guide me.

    When changing or deleting one or more lines of the internal table
    \PROGRAM=SAPMV75F\DATA=VBFA_TAB[] or when inserting in the table
    "\PROGRAM=SAPMV75F\DATA=VBFA_TAB[]", 0 was used as
    the line index. An index less than or equal to zero is not
    allowed.
    The error can occur when using the following options:
    1. "INDEX idx" for specifying the line number in the table
    "\PROGRAM=SAPMV75F\DATA=VBFA_TAB[]"
       where you want to change, insert or delete.
    2. "FROM idx" for specifying the start index when deleting a line
       area from or inserting a line area into the table
    "\PROGRAM=SAPMV75F\DATA=VBFA_TAB[]".
    3. "TO idx" for specifying the end index when deleting a line
       area from or inserting a line area into the table
    "\PROGRAM=SAPMV75F\DATA=VBFA_TAB[]".
    At the time of the termination, the table contained 11 lines.

    Hi,
    For Accounting Documents...Create a number range using the TCode : FBN1
    Give the range as the one which you specifed for the billing doc and make a check over the External Entry.
    Assign this Number Range to Your Accounting Doc. Type.. using the Tcode OBA7.

    Are u using smartforms.
    u when u loop at invoices and calling the smartform FM, u can make this parameter of output options as space. ls_control_param-no_close = ' '.
    this will close spool and create a new one when fm is again called.

  • Planned vs Actual Cost Report (with variance) for PM Orders

    Hi Experts,
    We are using the project system to collate order costs for annual shut work.  We have a requirement for a report to show 25% variance between planned and actual order costs (maintneance order).
    At this stage, we dont mind whether this is implemented in the the PM system, or the PS system.
    This is a fairly basic / common requirment.  Are there any standard transactions we could use to:
    1.  Select a list of orders using standard selection criteria.
    2.  Select a % for variance, e.g. 25%
    3.  Display a list of orders where the planned vs actual costs were greater than 25% and what the actual variance is for each order?

                   I have never seen any such scenario, but the best thing that can come to me is for the shut down activities you muct have created a Revision, then based on that Revision you can take a dump of all the orders with Planned and Actual Cost, in the excel, and there by putting the formulae you can definitely have the Varience report.

    When I am trying to create an Invoice document for a Credit Memo request having a Configurable material , in the accounting document profitable analysis Profit Center view fields are not getting updated.
    If we do the same thing for a reference material profit center view fields are getting updated properly.
    What is the problem with the Configurable  material.

    I would start fresh with a new sales order.  When you create with reference both the return delivery and credit memo are created with reference to the return sales order.  Here is an example document flow to clarify:

  • Profitability Analysis for Project and Project Team

    Hello Experts,
    Need your ideas and expertise to the below business case, could be simple or complicated, please provide some insight.
    the business case is like this. 2 specific project teams are available. there can be around 10 projects executed in a year. So in our PS we can have project team allocated to a project. workforce planning is done for the project for effective utilization, it is like 2 projects with 2 teams assigned. till now it is fine. the business calls for that 1 st team is assigned to another project only after closure of the assigned project.
    Let us assume P1, P2,...P10 are the projects in a year. Assume T1, T2 are the teams available. Initially T1 is assigned to P1, T2 is assigned to P2.
    Business confirms that T1 will be assigned to P3 only after completion of P1. This requirement is also straight. Assume that team T1 has executed 6 projects and team T2 has executed 4 projects.
    The requirement is profitability analysis at project level i.e at P1, P2, ...P10 which is also pretty straight. Business requirement is also to have profitability analysis against each team i.e for T1 and T2. it is like each team has a project lead and team assigned under him. based on the expenses and revenue booked against the team, there will be performance evaluation of the team.( assume that P1, P3, P5, P6, P8,P9 are the projects executed by team T1, we need to have revenue and expenses of the said projects to be mapped to team T1 as well), so we have profitability analysis at team level.
    Experts, require your advice on how to map the requirement. Is there any possibility to map projects to team rather assigning team to a project. please advice. provide some insight on how do we map the scenario.

    Hello Murthy,
    In SAP you carry out Month end closing activities. In order to carry out this activity, you post all period based data on the project. Subsequently data relevant for Profitability analysis can be determined for the given period and then this data can be settled to COPA.
    This data can be evaluated in the project information system or in Profitability analysis.
    You can check report KE30 for Profitability Analysis.

  • Actual cost not correctly displayed for material consumed in an order

    Hi All,
    I have an issue which is as follows:
    In a service order, I have consumed 13 materials for which I am able to view the list of goods movement with its amount and plant and storage location.
    For each goods movement system has generated material document, accounting document, controlling document, etc.
    However system is not displaying the actual costs of all the 13 materials consumed within the order. Only one material cost is dispalyed in actual cost of overview tab of COSTS tab.
    Incidentally, when I clicked the "Rep. Plan/Act." button, system is displaying the actual costs of line item wise material consumption.
    Kindly let me know what could be the reason for this error.

    If the "Rep. Plan/Act." costs are correct, then you have problems with your value categories
    Have a look at the following correction programs:
    Run TCode OLI5 to correct value category errors (program RIPMCO00)
    Run TCode OLPM to re-build structures (program RIPMS001)

    We are using alternative valuation in our Actual Costing
    We would like to know the use of the "Relevant for Costing" indicator. (XPCP field).
    Documentation said: "If you set this indicator, the results of the alternative valuation run can be used in the standard cost estimate for the material." But there is not a clear explanation in the online doc or other info sites.
    How does it works? What is the exact meaning of "can be used in Standard cost estimate"?
    How can we get these values from Product Cost planning?

    If that Field is checked, it should update the Planned Price in the Costing 2 Tab of the Material Master Record. I did not try this though.

  • Accounting entry problem for cancel billing document

    Hi,
    We have manufacturing process  for SO to DC we follow the proces
    Sales order -> delivery -> VF01 -> J1IIN -> VF02 release to accounting,
    now when we do the above procees in billing document document flow we can see two accounting entry generated ref. to t. code VF01 and billing document number
    now to reverse the above, we are following the procedure
    J1IIN reverse -> VF02 cancel billing document  we get new cancel billing document numbver  then again in VF02 we are releasing the cancel document number,
    but earlier when we do the cancelation procedure only two accounting entries were generating under the original billing document and also under the cancel billing document,   but now as soon as we reverse the invoice in J1IIN  under the original billing document one additional accounting entry is coming which is generated ref. to T. code J1IH  document type JM , and when we cancel and release the billing document there are three accounting entery under Cancel billing document number and additional entry is created ref. to J1IH do. no. JM
    so what can be the problem hiw one entry is generated by J1IH and what is eefect of this.

  • Billing Date for Cancelled Billing Document

    I have billing document whose billing date is Mar-2008 and in header creation date is May-2005. When we checked the document flow it showing same billing document has been cancelled in My-2005 and also cancelled document date is May-2005.  This billing document is created for contract whose billing plan is valid till Dec-2008. When i checked the billing plan there I get the billing date which showing in billing document. Now my question is why cancelled billing document having current year billing date when it is cancelled in May-2005.

    We have a option to change the billing documnet date under header details.
    1) Go  to VF02
    2) Enter billing document date
    3) Go to header deatils and change the billing date to current billing date
    4) save the document.
