    Hi all,
    I'm trying to compile the library webutil.pll.
    The problem is that the compiler does not respond.
    I did the steps to the configuration of the webutil and also apply the patch 4960210.

    At first glance I have a few questions and/or comments:
    You said:
    "...I did the steps to the configuration of the webutil and also apply the patch 4960210...{quote}
    Patch 4960210 is 10.1.2.2. Given that your Forms components are still reporting 10.1.2.0.2 as seen in your posting, I will assume that you did not correctly install and relink the patch. You should be seeing version 10.1.2.2 and not 10.1.2.0.2. Refer to Metalink note 404477.1 as this may be the cause of the patching problem. The note and the patch mentioned within that note are specific to Windows and SPARC, but may help you to troubleshoot your Solaris Intel environment.
    Although not related to your problem, be aware that the latest patch is 10.1.2.3 (patch ID 5983622)

    Once you correct this problem, you will need to ensure that you have run the WebUtil sql script as its contents is needed to compile webutil.pll. The script can be found in the Developer Suite Oralce Home\forms directory. The file name is: create_webutil_db.sql
    Also, I would recommend using frmcmp.sh and not _batch. This will require access to a X session.

  • Error FRM:30312 when compiling webutil.pll

    Error FRM:30312 when compiling webutil.pll
    I download the webutil_1_6.zip, and implementing the configuration instructions arrived to the point that states to compile the webtutil.pll file, the compiler generates the error: FRM-30312: Failed to compile the library. Any idea.
    The environment:
    OAS: 9.0.4
    OS: UNIX TRU 64 ver 1.5.b
    Considerations:
    I execute the create_webutil_db.sql in the required database.
    Other pll and fmb files of my application compile without problems.
    I configure the Webutil 1.6 in a Windows 2000 machine with Developer Suite 9.0.4 without problems.

    Michael I follow your recommendations, make the compilation in the local machine, and change the command line, but the error still appear:
    I execute the following command line:
    f90genm.sh module=webutil.pll userid=comun/comun@chirripo
    module_type=library compile_all=yes

  • Problem in compiling webutil.pll

    Hello!!!
    I have downloaded and installed webutil 1.0.6. form OTN in a Windows XP in path ORACLE_HOME\forms\webutil.
    Following the instructions of configuring the webutil I have to compile the webutil.pll , otherwise i get the ORA-06508 message error!!!
    The problem is that when i use the frmcmp module=ORACLE_HOME\forms\webutil\webutil.pll userid=<....> module_type=library compile_all=yes from the command prompt I get the error message FRM-30312 Failed to compile the library - which means that The VBX control properties have changed and the proposal is to Redefine the VBX properties.
    I don't really change any of VBX properties , but however how can I Redefine the VBX properties ?

    Hi ,
    Whenever I attach the webutil.pll as it is in the downloaded Webutil.zip file I get the error message ORA-06508. Reading the help - included in the downloaded Webutil.zip file - the proposed step in this situation is to use the frmcmp module='ORACLE_HOME\forms\webutil\webutil.pll' userid=<....> module_type=library compile_all=yes. When I do this the error message FRM-30312 appears.
    When I save the webutil.pll - I cannot compile the pll inside the form builder - the error messages (PDE-IIN005 Insert is unknown command and also the message at the background FRM-91507 Internal Error : The creation of library is impossible) appear , I get also the same error message at run time ORA-06508.
    I have created the webutil_db package successfully and when I open the webutil_canvas all java beans appear without any error!!!!!
    I would never imagine that it is so difficult , just to configure it!!!!!

  • Webutil.Pll does not compile on Oracle8 because of Utl_Encode.Base64_Decode

    Webutil.Pll requires packaged code Webutil_Db.
    Webutil_Db requires Utl_Encode.Base64_Decode.
    Utl_Encode.Base64_Decode is not avail on Oracle8.1.7.2.0.
    There is a workaround, because I found it, tested it worked, and then promptly lost it again !!!
    Any ideas please ???

    Only a couple of functions in webutil.pll make use of this package, so if you don't use those functions, you don't need the webutil_db package. This means you don't have to install the package.
    Do not forget to alter the webutil.pll put some exceptions where it calls the webutil_db packages.
    It's dirrrty, but it works for me ;)

  • Error with WebUtil

    When running my form on the web i get this error
    FRM-40039 cannot attach library E:\Devsuite\forms\webutil while opening form
    i am using the form builder with developer suite 10g
    IAny help is much appreciated
    Regards Chris

    Hi Chris,
    Try opening the webutil.pll file within forms File>Open>webutil.pll. Then compile this .pll file and you should see a new webutil.plx file in the same directory. Take the .plx and drop it in the directory of your forms server that houses your forms.
    On the forms that you are attaching this library, you should remove the path after attaching. Just hit no to the box that pops up.
    Cheers!

  • Compilation error while generating the form in linux

    Hello everyone,
    I am using Oracle Designer ver10.1.2.4 in windows to generate the forms with standard object library ofgwebol.olb and template form ofgwebt.fmb. form (with both .fmb and .fmx files) are generated without errors. Also when I open the forms in separately they compiles without errors. But when I copy the same .fmb file into linux enviroment and compile it using frmcmp.sh userid=user/password@database module_type=form compile_all=yes module=form_name it gives following errors.
    $> frmcmp.sh userid=odin/odin@ontw10g module_ty

    I think some standard library are missing in Linux environment. But I do not know the name of them and neither I can find. Please suggest the what need to be done to resolve the problem. The reason I am compiling the form in Linux is that I can run the form in windows because of corrupted installation of OC4j.
    Thanking you all much in advance.

    Deepank-
    When generating forms from Designer, Designer attaches libraries - like ofgmes.pll, ofgnavl.pll, etc. You will need to copy these libraries to the same directory where your forms reside on your Linux box. To find out what libraries ate attached to your form, open it on your windows PC after generating it from Designer and you will see the attached libraries. Also, watch out for the case-sensitivity of Linux. If you have the Designer libraries on your linux box and you still get errors, try changing the case of the names of the libraries.
    Hope this helps,
    Dan

    1.Does any of ur forms supports Graphics which is no longer supported in Forms 11g.
    2.Does it any of ur forms supports Triggers, code e.g. using OLE2 without using Webutil..
    3.Even icons and passwords r Case Sensetive
    4.Forms during compilation may have in-consistancy between package Specification and Bodies...
    Pls before migrating read Oracle Forms 11g Migration Documentation to see the desupported Built in
    Regarding ur SQL Statment Error u might need to upgrade to ORACLE 10.2.0.3 to Solve such a problem

  • Compiling error in Hierarchical Tree !!!!! Urgent attention!!!

    I have made the Hierarchical Tree as described in the resuable demo help as is but when ever i try to compile the form i gets error on the navigator."anything!". I guess the forms are not able to find the navigator package. I have attached the navigator.pll. I think there is nothing mroe to attach to a form
    Till now i have searched every documentation on the net and the files ships wiht DEV 6.0.5.2. But not ablet o find any thing regarding the installation of navigator package :( Is there any one can tell me how u remover the compiling error from the form which is dur to the navigator package!!!!
    null

    If you are using DEV 6.0.5.2 you should use the FTREE built-in package. Look under the Built-In package node. The Navigator.pll was a demo used in Forms4.5 before there was a hierarchial tree item type.

    <p>You could try a Java Bean.
    See at this one.
    - Download the JAR file from the zip and copy it in your /forms60/java directory.
    - Add the JAR filename to the archive tag of your /forms60/server/formsweb.cfg file.
    - In your form, add a Javabean Area (e.g. :bl.bean) then put the following Implementation Class property : oracle.forms.fd.ClientInfos
    - Add a button in your form, then the following code in the When-Button-Pressed trigger:
    Message(Get_Custom_Property('BL.BEAN', 1, 'IP' )) ;
    At run time, open the Java console to see if the Java class is correctly loaded (no error message)
    </p>

  • Compilation error while calling static method from another class

    Hi,
    I am new to Java Programming. I have written two class files Dummy1 and Dummy2.java in the same package Test.
    In Dummy1.java I have declared a static final variable and a static method as you can see it below.
    package Test;
    import java.io.*;
    public class Dummy1
    public static final int var1= 10;
    public static int varDisp(int var2)
    return(var1+var2);
    This is program is compiling fine.
    I have called the static method varDisp from the class Dummy2 and it is as follows
    package Test;
    import java.io.*;
    public class Dummy2
    public int var3=15;
    public int test=0;
    test+=Dummy1.varDisp(var3);
    and when i compile Dummy2.java, there is a compilation error <identifier > expected.
    Please help me in this program.

    public class Dummy2
    public int var3=15;
    public int test=0;
    test+=Dummy1.varDisp(var3);
    }test+=Dummy1.varDisplay(var3);
    must be in a method, it cannot just be out somewhere in the class!

  • Compile Error: "schema 'name' does not exist

    Im trying to build a program that quereys a table in a database but i keep getting this error. Am i missing a link between the files or am i missing a line of code in my program??

    Apologies. I receive a compiler error which reads as follows;
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.derby.jdbc.EmbeddedDriver
    java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: Schema 'DEMO' does not exist
    Heres the main body of code i am trying to execute.
    public class Main {
    * @param args the command line arguments
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    // TODO code application logic here
    try{
    Class.forName("org.apache.derby.jdbc.EmbeddedDriver");
    }catch(ClassNotFoundException e){
    System.out.println(e);
    try{
    Connection con = DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:derby://localhost:1527/SimpleDBDemo", "demo", "demo");
    Statement stmt = con.createStatement();
    ResultSet rs = stmt.executeQuery("SELECT * FROM DEMO.Table1");
    while (rs.next()) {
    String s = rs.getString("Name");
    float n = rs.getFloat("Age");
    System.out.println(s + " " + n);
    }catch(SQLException e){
    System.err.println(e);
    I am using NetBeans IDE and have created a database under: Services->Databases-> Java DB->SimpleDBDemo.
    I have a database connection in which theres a simple table (called "TABLE1") created which contains the names and ages of two people.
    Hope this makes the problem a bit clearer.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.
