Compile error in j2se1.4.2 while pass 1.4.1
Hello,
I just installed j2sdk1.4.2_06, try to compile some source file, I got a lot error although these source code is compiled in j2sdk1.4.1, for example,
c:\j2se\src.zip(java/long/Object.java):20:class Object is public, should declared in file named Object.java
(Source unavailable)
c:\j2se\src.zip(java/long/Class.java):77:Class Class is public, should declared in file named Class.java
(Source unavailable)
my platform is win2k, classpath is set and path is set,
working without problem in j2sdk1.4.1,
I'd appreciate if you could help me on this issue,

Thank you very much for your help, I did have c:\j2se\src.zip in my classpath, the compilling go through after I took it out, from classpath, what I compiled is just helloworld.java because I got error in compilling my source files, I just use it for test, but I wonder why 1.4.1 did go through with src.zip classpath setting?

Compiling Error While Viewing XML Data in Word
I received the following message, "Compile error in hidden module: Module_starter" while trying to load sample xml data to view within MS Word while using BI Publisher. Any ideas of what causes this and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

However, our desktops at work are locked down to such an extent that I don't have an 'all programs' entry on my start menu.
I tried what I thought might be the 'Template Builder for Word Language' executable but that also gave me an error (changeUILang.exe).
Error is: Runtime error '9'. Subscript out of range.
Could someone please confirm what the shortcut:
"All Programs --> Oracle BI Publisher Desktop --> Template Builder for Word Language "
actually points to.
As to the other option (uninstalling the security patch) this is just a non-starter where I work.

Compilation error for code in Solaris 8 which was compiled in SUNOS 4.1.3
Hi,
I compiled the C source files in Solaris 8 which was earlier compiled in SUNOS 4.1.3(Solaris 1.1).
On compiling I get following discrepencies: 1. Executable size are considerably different.
2. I am using some X windoes system library, it gives compilation error like "prototype mismatch 2 arguments passed when 3 required". "improper member use: fd " fd is the member od display structure.
3. "identifier redeclared: shmat current : function() returning pointer to char
previous: function(int, pointer to const void, int) returning pointer to void : "/usr/include/sys/shm.h""
4. Also I am getting "cg error :..: Disk quota exceeded " while compiling one of the modules.
Please let me know solution of all/any of these.

ILM First Time Installation Fails with compilation errors
I am using database version 10.1.0.4.2, and Apex version 3.0.0.00.20,
These both are on the same machine.
I login with sqlplus as sysdba and run
@ilma_install apex sysaux none
Following happens after running it:
- It runs for a while creating different objects
- then gives warning : view created with compilation error
- then gives warning : view created with compilation error
- then gives warning : view created with compilation error
- then runs for a while
- then gives error Package body created with compilation errors

regardsI am sorry to hear that you are still having difficulties with the installation. I set up a system that is as close to your configuration as I could replicate, with a 10gR1 database and Apex 3.0, and did not have any issue installing the ILM Assistant.
It is possible that your install kit may have been corrupted during the modifications. I could build a new kit with the proper changes for your setup and send this directly to you if you would like.
Alternatively, the problem may be with your Application Express installation. Try to verify that this was installed properly, and that the underlying schema account (FLOWS_030000) is unlocked and that you are using its proper password when installing ILM.

I was deploying a test application for a session bean with sun 1 studio 5 and I started getting this message while deploying.
I had tested the bean previously and I had no problems.
I found this in the sun app server 7 release notes, but I don't understand what I'm supposed to do...
"Deployment of CMP beans fails.
The following error is thrown because there are no <query-params> entries in the container-managed persistence (CMP) bean in sun-ejb-jar.xml file:

Getting Error in Crystal report While passing parameters (DB: MS ACCESS)
I have been trying to solve passing parameters in Crystal Reports.
What I have done is :
I added Crystal Reports to my project,
I connect to database using OLE DB (ADO) in database expert form (for your kind information; I did not create or add DataSet1.xsd file the Crystal Reports worked on below code with out parameters and I want report with parameter)
I added below piece of code on my form load event
When I try to pass parameter using .SetparameterValue function, report pop up with bunch of values BUT it does not filter with values which I want, Can anyone tell me that Am I missing something strange ? If yes please guide me

I had WM settings, so i just deleted the assignment between Storage location and Warehouse.
Is my error due to this?

Error while passing date parameters in procedure and commit issue

1) I am doing a archiveing records and pls find my code below and i have couple of issue,pls find my code and want to ensure the commit is happening every 100000 rows inserted but i am archeiving a huge table but when i checks the table frequently it shows 0 records and after it shows count the actual rows around 20 million records.How can i ensure it commiting on every 100000 records. pls find my code my db version is 10g on windows

You should use bulk collect with limit clause and forall clause to do it faster!!! Or Merge clause. -
Error while passing ODI variable in JNDI Url for JMS Queue XML
Hi,
Facing a weird problem while passing ODI variable in JNDI Url for JMS Queue XML.
Below is the JNDI Url configured under ODI Topology:
JNDI Url: t3://<host_location>?d=#TEST.SCHEMA_FILE&s=<schema_name>&JMS_DESTINATION=jms/<queue_name>
where,
#TEST.SCHEMA_FILE --> ODI variable storing xsd name and location
Issue Description:
If we restart ODI server then for the first run of any ODI interface using JMS Queue XML, it is unable to get the value for ODI variable present in JNDI Url (d=#TEST.SCHEMA_FILE).
It throws error message saying: No XSD found
Temporary Resolution:
As a temporary fix if we hard-code and pass the value in that ODI variable as shown below, it will successfully go through.
eg: JNDI Url: t3://<host_location>?d=C:\XSD\test.xsd&s=<schema_name>&JMS_DESTINATION=jms/<queue_name>
Reverting it back to variable later will have no issues and subsequent run will succeed.
But again anytime later if server is restarted then first run will have this issue.
Want to have permanent fix for it.
Any one having idea on it please share. Appreciate your help!What ODI version are you using? It could be related to the bug in the older version as described in support note Doc ID 1290326.1

DC compilation error at trackname_C buildspace but no error while activatin
Hi All ,,
I have a wierd problem. i modified the essben, added a field to structure at backend and reimported the model it generated the dictionary with the structure and is having the field which is added and it is also availble in simpletypes in dictionary in webdynpro DC and made all mappings accordingly. when i activated the activity it got activated and deployed in to dev runtime system and (no errors while activation) and the application runs good and i see this DC in green under Tackname_D buildspace so no problem. when i released the activity and imported in to consolidation after finishing the import, the essben is in red at Trackname_C buildspace it has compilation errors and the log file shows

Does the import fail for all the DCs you create or just one of them. If it is for all the DCs, try
1) Check your Cons track, if all the SCAs are imported correctly.
2) Try import-check option, as per this link --

If it is just for 1 particular DC ,
It seems, its not advisable to change the structure of the RFCs, tables and structures after creating the model in NWDS. For eg: adding a field to the structure...
You have 2 options:
1) You can restart the server, if its possible. This worked for us.
2) You could create a new model and create the bindings again. This didnt work out for us but it is one of the suggested methods.
