Compile menu(mmb) and plsql libraries(pll) in Solaris

Hi Sir,
I'm migrating my forms application from NT to Solaris.
I used f60gen to compile forms. It works fine.
But when I use it to compile menu(mmb) it does not work.
Can you tell me which program to use in order to compile menu(mmb to mmx), plsql library (pll to plx)?
Please advice.
Thanks.
Regards,
-Jap-

Just use the same program except changing options.
If you use forms 4.5 or 5 or 6, use f45gen.
Otherwise you use forms 6i, use f60gen.
In the options, there is "module_type" option.
Here is the example.
If you intend to use library file(.pll), you can use the following command.
$f60gen module=FNDCONC.pll userid=APPS/APPS output_file=FNDCONC.plx module_type=library batch=no compile_all=special
If you intend to use menu file(.mmb), you can use the following command.
$f60gen module=FNDMENU.mmb userid=APPS/APPS output_file=FNDMENU.mmx module_type=menu batch=no compile_all=special
Good luck!

  • Ssl and Sun Crypto card 1000 Solaris 9

    Hi
    First time i have used a crypto card and and 1st time in using ssl.
    The crypto card came with an install script to compile ssl, apache and crypto libraries. Documentation says that should come pre-installed with Apache 1.3.26 and have only supplied the ssl.lib.so.1-3-26 files for Apache 1.3.26. The actual version supplied was Apache 1.3.33 and the script exits with wrong apache version.
    Have tried renaming the lib.so files to 1.3.33 but script still fails.
    Don't want to roll back to earlier version of apache but don't know how/where to get updated lib.so files from.
    Sorry if this is a stupid question but any help would be much appreciated

    This might be one of the exceedingly rare instances where I suggest that someone cross-post to another forum.
    On the off-chance that others that use the software may have already worked on this, you might consider asking your question on one of the Java Enterprise System forums. (iPlanet has been branded as JES since 2003).
    [http://forums.sun.com/index.jspa?tab=es]
    In particular, there is an archived JES/Security forum where previous discussions may have already covered this.
    I haven't a clue as to what your software might need for a "best" configuration.

    You may be attempting to Share (export) the movie from the Event Library. You need to create a Project, drag clips (or segments of clips) from the Event to the Project, then use the Share menu to export the Project. Movie clips can't be exported directly from the Event. Clips you add to a Project reference (point to) the clips in the associated Event (or Events).

  • Compiling and attaching a .pll lib...

    HI ,
    I have developed some forms in Windows platform using Dev10g. All forms have an attached .pll library located in c:\mylibs.
    These forms have to be compiled in Linux platform with the attached lib which is located at /home/devsuite/mylib linux directory.....
    Is it possible... without opening each form in Form Builder to use frmcmp.exe file - or any other way - to compile them in Linux and attach the lib simultaneously...????
    Many thanks ,
    Simon

    Very helpful info......
    I have placed the directory where the .pll lib resides in the default.env file:
    FORMS_PATH=C:\oracle\product\DevSuite10g\forms;c:\mylib
    But i wonder how to write the syntax of frmcmp in a cmd in order to compile the form and attach the library.....?????
    I found the syntax
    frmcmp module=myform.fmb userid =x/x compile_all=YES...
    but how to attach the library... isn'it done via this command..., but during the compilation where in the code of a form gettring compiled , an object is reffered to a variable- let's say- in the lib , then it is attached automatically.... ????
    For the library path in forms builder, when you're attaching the library to the form you can either include the path (which is not portable) or remove the path. You should remove the path.This is done manually...????
    Another question is about the .olb libs..
    Although they are located in the same dir as the pll lib - declared in the forms_path- they are not found when i execute the command
    frmcmp module=myform.fmb userid =x/x compile_all=YES
    Thanks , indded for your interest...

  • Music and Video on Nas in folders but how do i set up itunes on multiple computers to see and use these files and create libraries?

    Music and Video on Nas in folders but how do i set up itunes on multiple computers to see and use these files and create libraries?
    So i have had a itunes set up on my old PC, bought a NAS and copied the folders over to the NAS, i did this incorrectly and so then even when i told the old PC to use that folder it saw all the songs but wasnt able to play the songs as it was looking in the incorrect place.
    So now i want my Mac as well as my PC and others to all use the music, videos etc on the NAS they are in itunes friendly folders (as they were compiled this way by the itunes on the old PC.
    When i tell the mac to use the itunes library.itl file it sees the song list (about 100gb) but cant see any songs, so i have removed this file to another location for now with the hope to set up a new file and then get it to see the songs on the folder from the NAS.
    Can someone tell me how to do this for all the Mac's and PC's on my network as i really want one master library that all use and add too.
    Thanks for your help in advance.

    I have the same question but I am using two pc's

  • How to compile menu in forms

    Dear All
    How to compile menu if anyone already using the menu
    if it is possible will you please reply.

    Thank you for sending me reply
    but my problem is when compile the menu if any user
    access the menu
    form builder doesn't allow to compile it. for that i
    have to down the form serverAre you sure you're talking about Oracle Forms Builder??
    You can compile your source .mmb even if there's any user running the runtime of your menu .mmx
    What you can't do is, you cannot replace (overwrite) the .mmx if there is any session using it.

  • In Oracle 10g, How to call a report since an option of a menu (*.mmb)

    Hello
    In Oracle 10g, working since the browser, how to call a report since an option of a menu (*.mmb)? I know to call it in a form (*.fmb), therefore uses the fields bean area and the objects reports, but in a menu there is not neither canvas, neither fields, neither reports. Someone would be able to help me with that?
    Kisses. Thanks.
    Annie

    I understand that you had sent me everything,
    I sent for example to you that, no to insert it in your item's menu code,
    then,You have to modify it.
    ... but
    a menu (mmb) doesn't have to define him reports
    objects... then, what parameter I send to the
    function FIND_REPORT_OBJECT:
    This is not true
    Try out this, and then let me know
    You do not need to have a report object defined in the menu. It is enough to have it in forms.
    I tried to call a report from the menu in the folowing way:
    I created a menu and wrote the following code in one item:
    DECLARE
    repid REPORT_OBJECT;
    v_rep VARCHAR2(100);
    BEGIN
    repid := find_report_object('report2');
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid, REPORT_EXECUTION_MODE, RUNTIME);
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid, REPORT_COMM_MODE, SYNCHRONOUS);
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_DESFORMAT,'pdf');
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_SERVER,'reportserver1');
    SET_REPORT_OBJECT_PROPERTY(repid,REPORT_DESNAME,'C:\p.pdf');
    v_rep := RUN_REPORT_OBJECT(repid);
    END;Then I created a form with a report object called report2.
    I attached the menu to this form and while running this form, I was able to successfully run the report.
    In your case, you have to make sure that you have the dummy report object in each form that will have this attached menu.
    You can replace by the actual report name as you have written in the code.

  • Question about dependent projects (and their libraries) in 11g-Oracle team?

    Hello everyone,
    I have a question about dependent projects. An example:
    In JDeveloper 10.1.3.x if you had for instance 2 projects (in a workspace): project 1 has one project library (for instance a log4j library) and project 2 is a very simple webapplication which is dependent on project 1. Project 2 has one class which makes use of log4j.
    This compiles fine, you can run project 2 in oc4j, and the libraries of project 1 (log4j) are added on the classpath and everything works fine. This is great for rapid testing as well as keeping management of libraries to a minimum (only one project where you would update a library e.g.)
    However in 11g this approach seems not to work at all anymore now that weblogic is used, not even when 'export library' is checked in project 1. The library is simply never exported at all - with a noclassdeffound error as result. Is this approach still possible (without having to define multiple deployment profiles), or is this a bug?
    Thanks!

    Hi Ron,
    I've tried what you said, indeed in that .beabuild.txt when 'deploy by default' is checked it adds a line like: C:/JDeveloper/mywork/test2/lib/log4j-1.2.14.jar = test2-view-webapp/WEB-INF/lib/log4j-1.2.14.jar
    Which looks fine, except that /web-inf/lib/ is empty. I presume its a sort of mapping to say: Load it like it in WEB-INF/lib? This line is not there when the deploy by default is not checked.
    I modified the TestBean as follows (the method that references Log4j does it thru a Class.forName() now only):
    public String getHelloWorld() {
    try {
    Class clazz = Class.forName("org.apache.log4j.Logger");
    System.out.println(clazz.getName());
    catch(Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    return "Hello World";
    In both cases with or without line, it throws:
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.log4j.Logger
         at weblogic.utils.classloaders.GenericClassLoader.findLocalClass(GenericClassLoader.java:283)
         at weblogic.utils.classloaders.GenericClassLoader.findClass(GenericClassLoader.java:256)

         at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:169)
         at nl.test.TestBean.getHelloWorld(TestBean.java:15)
    Secondly I added weblogic.xml with your suggested code, in the exploded war this results in a weblogic.xml which looks like:
    <?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'windows-1252'?>
    <weblogic-web-app xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-web-app.xsd" xmlns="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/weblogic-web-app">
    <container-descriptor>
    <prefer-web-inf-classes>true</prefer-web-inf-classes>
    </container-descriptor>
    <jsp-descriptor>
    <debug>true</debug>
    <working-dir>/C:/JDeveloper/mywork/test2/view/classes/.jsps</working-dir>
    <keepgenerated>true</keepgenerated>
    </jsp-descriptor>
    <library-ref>
    <library-name>jstl</library-name>
    <specification-version>1.2</specification-version>
    </library-ref>
    <library-ref>
    <library-name>jsf</library-name>
    <specification-version>1.2</specification-version>
    </library-ref>
    </weblogic-web-app>
    The only thing from me is that container-descriptor tag, the rest is added to it during the deployment. Unfortunately, it still produces the same error. :/ Any clue?

  • How to make Form builder 10g step into libraries *.pll while remote debug

    How to make Form builder 10g step into libraries *.pll while remote debug. It attaches fine and goes through code located in form but skips pll's. In this case I am interested in debuging CUSTOM.pll. How to step into pll's and is it possible at all?

    Is the library in the same directory or within your FORMS_PATH? Note that the runtime setting in the default.env doesn't work for the builder.

  • Menu Role and Security

    How do you enable menu roles and enforce security in forms?
    For example in an complex application if we want to have a control of access of menus based on user login
    I know it can be done thru the front-end itself by using an if then condition.
    but can it be integrated with the database user logins itself
    kindly reply
    Thanx in advance

    Hi,
    first RUN frm60sec.sql under system/manager
    create different roles
    GRANT roles to users
    Grant select access to the view created by frm60sec as follows:
    SQL > Grant select on frm50_enabled_roles to public;
    Note it is NOT frm60_enabled_roles.
    To verify that your roles and grants are correct, log on as a user and run the following:
    SQL>Select * from frm50_enabled_roles;
    You should be able to see the users roles.
    then come to MMB file contibue assiging the roles in each menu Item. U ll see get the result.

  • A simple Java program to be compiled with ojc and executed with java.exe

    Hi ,
    This thread is relevant to Oracle Java Compiler (file ojc) and jave.exe file.
    I have written a simple java program which consists of two simple simple classes and using the JDev's 10.1.3.2 ojc and java files , i'm trying to execute it after the successful compilation....
    The problem is that trying to run it... the error :
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: EmployeeTest
    appears.
    How can i solve this problem...????
    The program is as follows:

    public class EmployeeTest
    {  public static void main(String[] args)
       {  Employee[] staff = new Employee[3];

          staff[2] = new Employee("Tony Tester", 38000,
             new Day(1990,3,15));
          int i;
          for (i = 0; i < 3; i++) staff.raiseSalary(5);
    for (i = 0; i < 3; i++) staff[i].print();
    class Employee
    {  public Employee(String n, double s, Day d)
    {  name = n;
    salary = s;
    hireDay = d;
    public void print()
    {  System.out.println(name + "...." + salary + "...."
    + hireYear());
    public void raiseSalary(double byPercent)

    public int hireYear()
    {  return hireDay.getYear();

    private double salary;
    private Day hireDay;
    For compilation... i use :
    D:\ORACLE_UNZIPPED\JDeveloper_10.1.3.2\jdev\bin\ojc -classpath D:\E-Book\Java\Sun_Java_Book_I\Corejava EmployeeTest.java
    For execution , i issue the command:
    D:\ORACLE_UNZIPPED\JDeveloper_10.1.3.2\jdk\bin\java EmployeeTest
    NOTE:I tried to use the jdk of Oracle database v.2 but the error :
    Unable to initialize JVM appeared....
    Thanks , a lot
    Simon

    Hi,
    Thanks god....
    I found a solution without using Jdev.....
    C:\oracle_files\Java\Examples>SET CLASSPATH=.;D:\E-Book\Java\Sun_Java_Book_I\Corejava
    C:\oracle_files\Java\Examples>D:\ORACLE_UNZIPPED\JDeveloper_10.1.3.2\jdk\bin\javac EmployeeTest.java
    C:\oracle_files\Java\Examples>D:\ORACLE_UNZIPPED\JDeveloper_10.1.3.2\jdk\bin\java EmployeeTest
    What does Ant has to do with this?Sorry, under the Ant tree a classpath label is found....I'm very new to Java and JDev...
    You need to include the jar file that has the Day method in it inside project properties->libraries.I have not .jar file.. just some .java files under the corejava directory.... By the way , I have inserted the corejava directory to the project pressing the button Add Jar/Directory.... , but the problem insists..
    Thanks , a lot

  • HT201340 moving aperture and iphoto libraries

    My aperture and iphoto libraries have consumed my little MacBook. What is the best method for moving all libraries to a different harddrive?

    Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
    1. Quit iPhoto and/or Aperture
    2. Copy the iPhoto Library / Aperture Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
    3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library. Repeat form Aperture.
    4. Test the libraries and when you're sure all is well, trash the ones on your internal HD to free up space.

  • Openwin GL and GLU libraries

    I am working on a task involving a Pentium M processor that is running on Solaris 10 at x86. I have downloaded a SPEC product labeled Viewperf veriosn 8.1 that was written many years ago for use with openwin GL and GLU libraries. I am not sure if Solaris 10 even packages openwin GL and GLU libraires with their product. I need the openwin GL and GLU libraries to get this Viewperf version 8.1 to run on the Solaris 10. Is there a website or ftp site where I might download the openwin GL and GLU libraries that I need? I am using Sun Sudio 10 as the primary compiler . Studio 10 fails to compiler the entire Viewperf without considerable error notification under my present environment. I have deduced the problem to the lack of the open GL and GLU libraries as the real cause of the problem.
    Thanks to all that reply.

    I tried the libGL.so.1 as well as the libGLU.so.1 from the /usr/X11/lib/mesa directory. SPEC Viewperf compiles and links but the libGL and libGLU will not open according to the error I receive. Actually the error reads that it cannot open the libraries or that the file doesnot exist. I can see the files and did a file command to see if these were binaries. They are binaries. I can get this bencmark to work well in the Linux environment. Is there that much difference between the GL/GLU libaries of Linux and Solaris? I tried the NVIDIA libraries and got the execution to accept the GL library from NVIDIA but the GLU is not included in the NVIDIA and of course the execution still spilts out the GLU stating that the file cannot be open. So, I am still at a loss to get this benchmark to run on a Solaris operating environment.

    I have been storing my Aperture and IMovie Libraries on an external hard drive that recently died.  Fortunately I've been using Time Machine to back up to a 2nd external drive.  How do I restore my libraries to a new external hard drive?

    This is a tricky one.
    Open up Time Machine and go back to a date using the timeline on the right side of the window when you know the drive was working and was backing up as part of Time Machine backups.
    Click on the name of your Mac under the Devices heading on the left side of the window in Time Machine, and if things are working correctly you will see Macintosh HD (or whatever you have named it) and the name of the external hard drive that was backing up in the past.
    Right-Click on the name of the external hard drive and then click on "Restore (name of drive) to....."  You may be asked for your adminstrator password at this point.
    It might be easier to restore the drive contents to your desktop if you have room on your Mac, and then copy things over to the new external drive where you want to store the Aperture and iMovie Libraries.
    Once the libraries have been moved over the new external hard drive, you will likely need to "point" Aperture and iMovie to the location of the libraries on the new external hard drive.

    Hi Guys,
    On the home page of each sub site I would like to be able to show a list of subsites and Document libraries that are under the current subsite.
    I started investigating a solution using Datasources with SOAP requests sent to the server but it is very difficult to understand how to surface it on the Data View WebPart.
    I have tried with the search results webpart but the problem is that it does not work well when packaged in a Site Template.
    Please advise.
    Thanks and Regards,

    Ok,
    Here is the problem:
    When creating a mysite from powershell or script, apparently you can ONLY do this from a wfe (or a server running Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Web Application in services on server).
    You CANNOT create mysites from script on your appserver if it is not also a Web Application Server. I confirmed the same is true in my test farm. I guess I was always running most of these scripts on the webserver.
    I searched all over and cannot find this documented anywhere.
    Who do I contact to have Microsoft document this?
    It's Thursday morning, I've been working non stop since Saturday morning so you don't have to :)
