Compile .rdf with out reports builder

Can someone please let me know if i can compile a .rdf report without reports builder, if possible can you provide me syntax to compile it.

Hi,
If you are using Oracle 6i, then check whether the file RWCON60 exists or not. If it exists then create a batch file with the following code in the report file's directory, and run the batch file.
Echo compiling Report .....
for %%f IN (*.rdf) do <file_path>\RWCON60 userid=<user_name>/<password>@<connection_string> batch=yes source=%%f stype=rdffile DTYPE=REPFILE OVERWRITE=yes logfile=log.txt
ECHO FINISHED COMPILINGRegards,
Manu.

  • Ver3.0 rdf files in Report Builder 6.0

Here's a unique problem I have reports 3 files. I want to run these rdf files in ver 6 and email the user pdf or sent it to print queue. I used rwrun60 with various arguments like userid, DESTYPE, DESNAME,DESFORMAT .....
When I look at .pdf or .ps file I am getting all jumbled except for last page.
    Please Help!!!

    Hi ericvanburen,
According to your description, you want to know if the .rdl file created in Report Builder 1.0 can be available in Report Builder 3.0. Right?
Report Builder 3.0 is used to create reports in a familiar, Microsoft Office-like authoring environment. It has backward compatibility. You can customize and update all existing reports, regardless of whether they were created in Report Designer or in the
    previous versions of Report Builder.

So how can i connect my report builder to SQL server or is it possible to connect Report builder to SQL server?
Also, I want to create small practice version of database in Oracle how do i do it? what i mean by that is I installed trial version or Oracle developer 10g from www.oracle.com and now trying to get some knowledge with oracle. Could any one can give me some direction in this matter please.
    Thank You

Have a look at the reports help for the purpose header and trailer sections. Here is an exert:
"Report sectioning enables you to define multiple layouts in the same report, each with a different target audience, output format, page layout, page size, or orientation. You can define up to three report sections, each with a body area and a margin area: the names of the sections are Header, Main, and Trailer. By default, a report is defined in the Main section. In the other sections, you can define different layouts, rather than creating multiple separate reports. If you wish, you can use the margin and body of the Header and Trailer sections to create a Header and Trailer page for your reports."

  • Rwrun60.exe - only with complete Report Builder Installation

    Hello,
what has to be installed in order to run rwrun60.exe
in a "standalone" modus. does a complete report builder
environment has to be installed ? or can rwrun60.exe
somehow run on its own ?
    Thank you
    Thorsten Lorenz

I think you have to install complete report builder. If you install only report runtime it causes problems while running reports.

i tried same thing but still i unable to run the fmx on browser in my url tab i wrote like this
    http://indra-123:8889/forms/frmservlet?form=MODULE1.fmx
But still its coming error on browser like "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."The url is well, the problem with the browser might be with the jInitiator's version, you may try by changing the jInitiator's version, or by changing the Internet Explorer's version to 7.
    Try this in your url:
http://indra-123:8889/forms/frmservlet?config=jpi&form=MODULE1.fmxWith this new parameter you are using java instead of jInitiator.
Have you tried using other browser like firefox ??

  • Compile VI with Application Builder: Fails to load settings from INI file.

I utilize Labview 2011. I have written a VI which reads an INI file and sets the Tasks Names of DAQmx tasks. The VI works properly when I run it before compilation. However, once I compile it into a standalone application the application does not change the settings of the channel controls. I have updated the VI to include an indicator to verify that the compiled application is finding the correct ini file. However, the values of the controls never update.
Is there something in the Application Builder which is needed to insure programmatic changing of control values upon compilation?
I'm truly stumped. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Report Builder 10.1.2.0.2 Crashes on opening a rdf file

    Hi,
I am trying to do a customization on an oracle standard report (sales order acknoledgement),when i try to open the rdf file from the Reports builder it crashes immedietly. Also i noticed the builder is crashing if i open rdf file having size more than 1MB. I am able to open rdf and make changes in it if its lesser than 1 MB. Not sure if there is any configuration that restricts the size of the rdf file. Please help.
    Thanks
    Prathap

Can you open any other rdf?
We had quite a few crashes with the Report Builder on Windows 7, especially when using graphs in rdfs. Setting the compatibility of the shortcut to "Windows Vista" solved most of our problems.

    Hi Miss Katherine,
    1. I went through the SQL steps in the link you posted
    2. I updated the Reg Key and Microsoft.ConfigurationManagement.exe.config file with 3.0 on both the
    server and the console machine.
    3. I copied the .DLL file from your OneDrive and replaced the existing one on the server.
    4. I uninstalled and re-installed the reporting role on the server and received the 1015 in the log.
    5. I restarted the server and the client machine
I do get a slightly different error now after using the new DLL

  • Create Pie Chart and Vertical bar chart using report builder 3.0 with sharepoint custom list

    Hi All,
I have a client requirement to create reports which should show the graphical representation of SharePoint Custom List data. The reports are Month wise and YTD. Also i have to create dashboard.
For creating reports, i have heard about Report Builder and SSRS. I have SQL server 2008r2 and installed report builder 3.0 but i am not aware of creating reports(KPI, Pie Chart, Vertical bar, etc.,) with sharepoint customlist.
Can some one please help me on this.

  • Limit records per page with Report Builder?

Is there a way with the report builder to limit the number of
    records per
    page? Thanks.
    ...Brad

I guessing here but there must be a bit of php code that you can edit that limits the number of records to be displayed instead of the default value of 10.

  • Why is printing report different from report builder and app server

I created a report and when ran from report builder it looks fine.
And when i moved the report to server and ran the report in the browser using this url
    http://192.1.1.8:7778/reports/rwservlet?userid=esp/esp_dev1@wdev&report=FMMA_VOUCHER.rdf&destype=cache&desformat=pdf
and print it the report shrinks, the fonts become small and the margins change. I am having hard time how to figure out a way to correlate the formatting in the report builder and when i run on the server using pdf format.
Is there any way to set the server so that the pdf output matches with the report builder.
    Thanks.
    Sree

  • Can't save a report file in the Reports Builder

    dev environment : w2k, Oracle92iDS(rel 2) and patch set 9.0.2.2.0
    Problem description :
Saving a report corrupts the report file(jsp, rdf) in the reports builder, when a report has the bind variable used in the functions.
I can execute the report well, if I don't try to save .
The moment the file is saved and the report can never be reopened and run.
Please note it works fine when there is no bind variabled used in the function. Here are the steps to reproduce.
Can someone verify this, if so is there an workaround for this problem on the Reports Builder?

    7. Open it again, you get an as

MacBook Pro Retina 15" Late 2013 w/ nVidia GT 750M
    Adobe Audition 6.0 Build 732 (64 bit)
Downloaded WAV file from internet in a ZIP. Unzipped it. Played it in iTunes. Quit iTunes. Right clicked the file and chose Open With and Adobe Audition CC. I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've opened Audition on this computer, since I just recenly upgraded from an older MacBook. Edited the WAV, had the issue. Read the forums, closed and was prompted to save. Saved and then it finished closing. Right clicked on the file again and chose Open With and Adobe Audition CC. Now the file gave me the option to Save or Save As depending on how much further I edited the file, which was just cutting out more of the track. The razor tool, though, still not available. Had to put the cursor where I wanted, then used the Shift and Home buttons to select the beginning part of the track and the Delete key to remove it.

  • Custom fonts not displayed when PDF is generated using 10g Report builder

    Hi
I have two fonts , abc.ttf and def.ttf which I have placed under C:\Windows\fonts. One of these displays a logo and the other displays barcode
I have added the environment variable REPORTS_PATH which has value C:\Windows\fonts. I have also added entries for PDF Subset in uifont.ali.
But still when I run the report and out to a PDF file, the fonts are not displayed. They are remapped to some other fonts.
When I check PDF document properties in Adobe reader, under fonts tab it says
    abc

       Encoding:ANSI
       Actual Font: Adobe Sans MM
Actual Font Type : Type 1

    # The True Type font files must exist in any one of the folders specified in

    abc= "abc.ttf"
    def="def.ttf"
In Oracle reports builder, I am able see these fonts and select them in my report layout
I am able to see the fonts in Preview/screen output while running RDFs in my reports builder, but PDF output doesnt display these fonts
Is there anything else which is required to do ? Do I need to restart the machine after environment variable is added ?

In one PC were Report Builder is installed, we see "COURIER NEW - WESTERN" font and the RDF created / saved in that font works fine on server. I don't know if this helps!

  • Report Builder - detail shows twice CFMX7.0.2

I've encountered an odd issue with the Report Builder. Every
time I create a report with a subreport inserted into the main
report my detail gets generated twice on the report. I've even
verified that the queries run twice on the SQL Server watching it
in profiler. I'm not sure what happend but this now happens to all
my reports and it's become very frustrating.
It does not matter if I change the report format to PDF,
    Flashpaper, Excel or Word.

Figured out my problem. Took another look at my query for the
master records and found out that the header was returning 2
records when it was only supposed to be returning 1. Ended up
adding a SELECT TOP 1 to the query to limit it to one
    record.
