Compiling for Android does not accept filenames with characteres ã, é, ç, etc.

I'm trying to compile an Android application, but when i try so, i receive a messagem:
Error occurred while packaging the application:
Asset file or directory name contains invalid characters. Error occurred for : aplicação.png
it does not allow characters like ç ã é á, etc.
Is that an Android limitation or some Flex configuration i must change?

Thanks a lot for the help, etresoft. I just finished this project and I am going to explain how I did it, for the others that might need this information.
To be true, one doesn't need to escape the characters, unless it's impossible to send 8-bit-encoded text to the printer. At this day and age, this should not be a problem on any platform. Zebra printers accept CP850 and CP1250. I chose to use CP850, also known as "DOS Latin 1".
My ZPL code is stored in a NSString. I create a temporary file from this NSString and then use PMPrinterPrintWithFile to send it to the printer as a raw print job.
To create the file, one can simply use +NSString writeToFile:atomically:encoding:error:+ and pass CFStringConvertEncodingToNSStringEncoding(kCFStringEncodingDOSLatin1) as the encoding.
It just works, beautifully.

Reflow in Adobe Reader for Android does not work

The reflow option in my Adobe reader for Android does not work. The PDF book I am trying to read is too wide to be legible when I fit it into the screen (even in landscape), but the reflow button doesn't change that. When I click it, nothing happens. The only thing I know to do is to uninstall and re-install, but that did not work. Any other tips or ideas?

It does not appear as though the PDF I am trying to read would have an element in it that would block it from reflow, but that is always possible. It’s a textbook, and I understand that toward the end of the book there are some charts and diagrams, but I haven’t gotten to those chapters yet. So far, I’ve just been trying to use the Adobe Reader to read the introduction and first chapter and nothing I have done has made it reflow.
I’m enclosing a copy of the entire book. Perhaps you can uncover something in it that I didn’t see.

After upgrading to 10.9 Server 3 XMPP server does not accept account with domain instead of FQDN

I've had this issue before when upgrading to 10.8 from 10.7. The issue is that my previous working jabber ID ([email protected]) stops working and I can only login to the XMPP server using [email protected] In previuos upgrades, all I had to do to fix the issue was to re-add the domain witrh the serveradmin tool, adding it to the jabber:hostsCommaDelimitedString.
#serveradmin settings jabber:hostsCommaDelimitedString="host.domain.com,domain.com"
In 10.9 this does not work. Both host and domain entries are already in the config but I still can only login when changing my JID to be [email protected]
Any hints?

Solved it myself! It seems like the #serveradmin script for modifying / adding the domain aliases to the ejabberd server does not work correctly. After looking through the different sm_.xml files created when adding a domain the script does not modify the <local><id> that the server uses to identify the JID with.
After manually modifying that id to match my domain, and restarting the ejabberd server, it works fine again!
It seems like when adding or modifying the jabber:hostsCommaDelimitedString="" the server default hostname is always inserted into the <local><id>.

Firefox for android does not completely enter fullscreen mode (addon installed).

A black bar still remains at the upper portion of the screen, where the location bar is supposed to be. I am using a samsung galaxy s3 mini and jellybean 4.1.2.

IOS4 - Quicktime does not accept Authenticated Proxies anymore

Hi Guys!
My wife and I both use a Authenticated UK Proxy over Wifi on our 3GSs from Japan where we live.
She updated her phone to 4.0 this week.
Since then, when she tries to read a video stream Quicktime ignores the Proxy settings.
I did a bit of tinkering and found that anonymous proxies are still working.
The gripe is with proxies that require authentication.
So to summarize it, in Firmware 4.0 quicktime does not accept proxies with authentication anymore. It decides to simply bypass them!?!
That is the weirdest thing I have ever seen.
We are in a bind because anonymous proxies only last a few hours.
We have subscribed to a paying proxy, but it only works on my 3.1.3 phone now.
If anyone has the merest clue of what could be done, I would greatly appreciate their advice...

Have you tried turning off automatic transitions ? Choose file - project properties and follow the dialogue box to change duration with a slider. iMovie also doesn't allow a transition to be more than 50% duration of the clip its attached to. In other words if the clip is 4 seconds the transition cannot be more than 2 seconds and remember that relates to the first clip as the following clip (right side) is pulled back to overlay it.

It needs the user password for the wireless router, that would have been set by whomever installed the router, if that was you then try to find the password. If you can not find the password reset the router to factory default and set it up again.

Firefox will not appear in the Market for most phones with incompatible hardware. You can check if your phone is supported here:

Even on some supported devices, a bug in the Market software prevents Firefox from showing up. This may be related to the fairly recent Android Market app update. If you go to Settings/Applications/Market and choose "Uninstall" you can uninstall the update, and then search for and install Firefox from the marketplace.

Let's try a standalone Apple Mobile Device Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of why it's not installing under normal conditions.
Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi (or AppleMobileDeviceSupport64.msi) to do a standalone AMDS install.
(If it offers you the choice to remove or repair, choose "Remove", and if the uninstall goes through successfully, see if you can reinstall by doubleclicking the AppleMobileDeviceSupport.msi again.)
Does it install (or uninstall and then reinstall) properly for you? If so, can you get a normal iTunes install to go through properly now?

Users receive "does not accept meetings longer than 1440 minutes" with MaximumDurationInMinutes set to 0

We are running on Exchange 2007. I have a user who is attempting to book a meeting on a calendar and is receiving the error, "Your meeting request was declined. This resource does not accept meetings longer than 1440 minutes." I know
this is related to the "MaximumDurationInMinutes" property returned from Get-MailboxCalendarSettings in the Exchange Management Shell. This value is currently set to 0, which I understand to mean unlimited. The user did not experience

The default options allow all users to book resources if they are within the set policies (i.e. up to 180 days in the future, up to 1440 minutes in duration, etc.), and will reject all other meetings. In the context of resource mailboxes,
InPolicy and OutOfPolicy simply mean whether or not the meeting invitation matches any restrictions enabled on the resource mailbox. For example
MaximumDurationInMinutes value for the resource mailbox is 30 minutes, any meeting invitation longer than 30 minutes would be considered OutOfPolicy. Using the
RequestOutOfPolicy parameter, you can manually add users that are allowed to request meetings that are not within the policy, and if you really want to lock things down, you can set the
AllBookInPolicy value to False, and then manually add users to the
BookInPolicy field, or more restrictive, to the
RequestInPolicy field.

Elements 9 does not accept or process RAW photo images taken with a Nikon D7000.

Adobe elements 9 does not accept or process RAW photo images taken with a Nikon D7000. I called support for a download patch and they said I had to purchase a support package or essentially purchase Elements 10. I can't believe that Adobe would not have a download patch for this problem as my elements 9 is not very old. When I try to do the updates Adobe says the serial number of the elements 9 is not accepted for download or support even though I purchased it and registered it with Adobe.
Is there any solution to this?

Thank you but still having a problem. I go to the edit menu>>help>>update>>check for updates and an update to 9.03 comes up as the only update, no camera raw update. It starts to download and then stops and says to close organizer and/or editor then starts back up and stops again saying "error installing this update. Close and contact customer support". When I called customer support earlier that's when they said they don't support 9 only v. 10 and did I want to buy support or a new program v10 to get camera raw processing for the Nikon D7000 RAW. Apparently I'm doing something wrong in the update procedure but don't know what. The camera raw version is 6.5 in my elements and understand that camera raw v. 6.7 is the update to process the images. Any ideas? If I uninstall and reinstall does the serial number still work on the reinstall?

Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Select the login keychain from the list on the left side of the Keychain Access window. If your default keychain has a different name, select that.
If the lock icon in the top left corner of the window shows that the keychain is locked, click to unlock it. You'll be prompted for the keychain password, which is the same as your login password, unless you've changed it.
Right-click or control-click the login entry in the list. From the menu that pops up, select Change Settings for Keychain "login". In the sheet that opens, uncheck both boxes, if not already unchecked.
From the menu bar, select
Keychain Access ▹ Preferences ▹ First Aid
If the box marked Keep login keychain unlocked is not checked, check it.
Select
Keychain Access ▹ Keychain First Aid
from the menu bar and repair the keychain. Quit Keychain Access.
