Component Class Error in CS5

I used the component's identifer that is different from the class name.
I had no problem using the component in flash 8, CS3, or CS4.
But, I have problem in flash CS5.
In flash CS5's component panel, I saw the component's class name that is same as the identifier.
So flahs CS5 show me the error "There is no method with the name ...".
I can solve this problem using same identifier and class name.
But, I think it is bug.

Can anybody help me on this?
just copied the sandbox code on selectmanypicklist and tried in a separate package of mine.
created a jsp page and used the selectmanypicklist component and im getting the component on my browser.
But whn i added the javascript resource calling by "encodeJavascript(facesContext, uiComponent);" im geting an error saying tht "expected a myfaces custom component class in package org.apache.myfaces.custom". i placed the java script file in "mypackage/list/resource/pikscript.js".
should i add anything on faces-config.xml file or anywhr else?
Anybody can help on this?

The problem is that it calls a method validateCustomComponent in MyFacesResourceHandler to see if it can load the js file. This method controlls if the path of the js file begins with org.apache.myfaces.custom. If not throws an exception and doesn't load the file. I changed the package of the class that's trying to load the file in org.apache.myfaces.custom.xx and the package of the file js in org.apache.myfaces.custom.xx.resource. Now it's working.

When opening Firefox 6 I receive 2 JavaScript Application errors; the 1st is "TypeError: Component.classes[TvtPwmComponent_CID] is undefined". The 2nd error is; "TypeError:Components.classes[componentid] is undefined." How can I correct these errors?

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

Flash CS5 + Adobe AIR2 class error

As you all know, Flash CS5 is now released. It is confusing me as AIR2.0 is still in beta. so is the air2 in flash cs5 stable or not?
I tried to use DatagramSocket class in Flsh CS5 but failed

Hey mate you're not alone - I bought Flash CS5 and having been using it for a couple of days now, When I made a new AIR app, I can't install it because it says (in the installer window):
"This application requires an update to Adobe AIR that is not available for your system.
Please view the system requirements for Adobe AIR and update your system accordingly."
Yet when I click on the system requirements link it would appear my PC has everything needed to install the app. I have since updated AIR to AIR2 beta 2. No change.
Pardon the french but what the hell? Flash CS5 only creates AIR2 apps, no option for AIR1 exports, and AIR2 isn't even properly released yet... ADOBE FAIL!!!

I have a Flex (4.1.0) project, which has many skinnable custom components. The application allows a user to choose another style which changes these skins via loading a new compiled CSS. These non-default skins are in a separate Flex project. I've not had a problem with this method until now.
The custom component I am skinning contains several icons which are defined in the component like this:

then I use the iconRendererFunction to return the appropriate component part:

When I try to compile this, I get the "Unable to locate specified base class 'resources.style1.HelpButtonIcon' for component class 'resources.style1.ButtonComponentSkinInnerClass0'" error.
If I remove the HelpButtonIcon from the <fx:Component> declaration, and just put it in the main body of the skin, it compiles and renders, but I need it to be a component (there's multiple components I have to choose from to display, similar to the ButtonBar skin).
Any ideas why it's not compiling and what I need to do to achive this?

I tried adding the airspark.swc to the library path for the project and it made no difference so I added:
-external-library-path /Applications/Adobe Flash Builder 4/sdks/4.0.0/frameworks/libs/air/airspark.swc
to the external tools configuration and now get the error:
command line: Error: unable to open 'Flash'
The project itself runs fine, it's only the ASDocs that's causing problems.

I am attempting to convert a page with jsf/html components to a page with ADF RF components.
I am using a pojo that returns a List.
The pojo is registered as a ManagedBean in adfc-config file.
I am not using a data control.
It all works fine with jsf/html components.
The following <h:inputText> works fine when using jsf/html component.

you just want to bind your input text to backing bean .then why you are using list ?
It is very simple just use any variable and bind with your UI component

Even 3 times i have re-installed but still getting same error.

Please right click on portalapp.xml > open with > check all the available editors.
Also restore default edition in NWDS. Go to windows > preference > Workbench OR Web editors > click on restore default and Apply and then Ok.
then close the NWDS and open it.

i need to know how to remove the rule or class function in CS5 at the bottom of the screen there are two options for formating HTML and Css when i click the HTML it only allows me to change the bold or italics or link something but when i click CSS it allows me to format how i want the paragraph aligned and the text size and font when i click on lets say changing the font size a box comes up asking me to name a rule so it applies it to everything else i type i want to know how to stop tht like edit everything on my own and if i use CS5 here will it be compatible with CS4 or CS3 at my skool plzz help ive been frustrated with this

You can't. DW encourages you to use good coding methods, which means using CSS classes and to keep content (HTML) separate from styles (CSS). For example, if you change font-size on p tags like so:
p {font-size: 38px}
Every paragraph will have 38px sized text.
If you want to apply a special style to just a portion of your text, you must define a CSS class name like so:
.foo {
font-size: 38px;
color: red;
HTML:
<p>This is normal paragraph text <span class="foo"> And this is very big and red.</span></p>

Import and recognize class error

The following is a simple welcome.jsp file that I am trying to run on a local J2EE sever. As you can see it tries to import classes one being the FaqCategories.class which is located in the folder Ch03 of the WEB-INF directory. When I call the page up on the browser It gives me that it does not recognize the FaqCategories faqs = new FaqCategories; class error. I am wondering why(Is the import statement wrong? Did I put the class in the wrong directory? Etc... I followed everything the book told me to a que and I still received an error.

Walter, thanks for the reply. Converting the nested .jar into a sepearate
plug-in isn't possible for my case. I checked out the Bug report, and also
the referenced bugs and Wiki page, it was interesting to read all the
issues. :) In any case, I know that deploying the plugin as a directory
instead of a jar works, so I will just go with that approach.

Org.apache.jasper.JasperException Ambigous Class Error

I included two classes:

and received an org.apache.jasper.JasperException Ambigous Class Error on the second import. One is a cmp bean, the other is a session bean. I thought Sun wanted us to name our packages like this to aid in the prevention of duplicate class names (i.e., Windoz DLLitus). Shouldn't these classes be unique by the package name?

No, that's not redundancy. Are you using the fully qualified class name in your jsp:usebean tags?
like:
classname="com.mypackage.mybeans.MyBean"
And are you using the package statement properly in your source?
In the case that you are using two classes of the same name in one file the compiler has to have a means of distinguishing between the two. The only way for it to do so is to use the fully qualified name of the class in each case in which it is referenced. This means either in the jsp:usebean tag as shown above, or in such a case as:
com.mypackage.myclasses.MyClass theOb=new com.mypackage.myclasses.MyClass();
Awkward yes, but ambiguous No.
In the case where you are using only one class of a given name the import statement will be sufficient for the compiler to know that it is that which you fully qualify in the import statement.
Remember, all that the import statement does is provide the convenience of pre-clarifying exactly which class you'll be referring to when using the abbreviated class name only. Importing two classes of the same name defeats the purpose.

Missing Class error from handler class - urgent question!

I am getting an "Missing Class" error when running a web service. The web service was generated from a Java class via the "create J2EE web service" option.
The web service has a JAX-RPC handler class added, which belongs to the same package as a logging class. The logging class is used to write to a file for debug purposes. A "missing class" error is being generated whenever I attempt to invoke the web service (via the enterprise manager test util), the error refers to the logging class which is used by the main handler class. The JAX-RPC handler works fine by itself, the error is only seen when I attempt to use the logging class.
I have re-built, re-deployed from scratch again, but still get the same error! Am I missing something simple here?

I have posted something similar, but I am not sure how to get over this issue. I am not sure if this is a code issue, I have scanned both EJB 2.0 and 2.1 specifications, but nothing caught my eye.

Where do Pipeline Component classes get loaded from?

Can someone please point me to some documentation that describes where my Pipeline
Component classes get loaded from?
I have just wasted hours on this - to find that they are not loaded from WEB-INF/classes
- but instead they must be available to the EJB classloader. The sampleportal
is completely misleading in putting the classes in WEB-INF/classes - because they
are in fact loaded from the sampleportal EJB jar!
Did I miss something obvious?

Cant you paste some of your code, formatted in code tags? It looks like there is a problem passing some of the XMl response, it doesnt like a tag html.
If you post some code somebody might actually be able to help you.
