Component Live Preview problem

Hi every one,
I have a problem with my component live preview. When i drag
and drop a component in the stage the first time and resize it by
the component panel inspector, the live preview is not updated in
the IDE. But soon as i put an another instance of the same
component in to the IDE, the other one get updated. I dont know if
somebody have ever had the same problem?

Component with Live Preview

There seems to be very little information on developing a
custom component with live preview.
So far i've created a swf whose application class extends
UIComponent.
I've also created a custom component.
Then I've added the Live Preview field in the custom
component's Component Definition.
What I would like to do now is reposition elements within the
preview swf when the user resizes the component.
To do this i need to know two things - 1 what event to listen
for when the user resizes the component, and 2 the current
dimensions of the resized component.
1. My only success was that ComponentEvent.SHOW seems to
dispatch when the user resizes the component. (i had no luck with
any of the RESIZE events - Event.RESIZE etc)
2. However the width/height properties don't seem to change
on resize, they stay at the original dimensions of the component.
Any ideas?

now I'm not certain about this under 3, but when developing
with under 2 with a live preview one needs to include a 'magical'
MC named 'xch' (instance name as well) that basically contains
'nothing' - it's a empty mc on the preview files timeline. there
are 'other' things as well however, in the live preview file one
must create a method named 'onUpdate' and assign a property of the
xch named 'instance' to 'this' (ref the timeline of the preview
file... previous to the method declaration) then within the
onUpdate method 'all' properties of the component and statements
within the method refer to xch.prop = blah blah, xch.otherprop =
blah blah
it's quite complicated and doesn't really make a lot of
sense, but that seems to be the way in which the working file
relates to the live preview file - ie. 'through' the xch clip which
triggers the onUpdate method
from what i remember, it's this mc that 'helps' the resize
event 'make' the connection between the event and the preview file,
seems to me that there was something else involved as well but i
cant seem to remember atm - I found this information in an article
on building components, however the page is no longer valid and i
couldn't track it down for you (it was a good tut too) sorry wish i
had more info for you.

Compiled Clip vs Live Preview

Hi
Does anybody know how to create a compiled clip that diaplay
when add to the stage. I explaine. The clip I build has an outline
to know the diaplay zone. This outline visible = false at the clip
ADDED event. It means that when I publish the Fla, the outile
desapear. My problem is that when I Compiled it to a Compiled CLip,
when I put it on the stage the ADDED is execute. So I can't view
the outline to position it to the stage.
I tried to used the Component properties and set the live
preview, I put a link to a swf that is exactly the preview of it,
but when ADDED to the stage the preview is jsut a small square of
10 px. Not the real preview in the external swf.
I need to have a Compiled Clip that is visisble on the sateg
and execute the outshape visible to false on publish only

How do I properly set up Live Previewing (Brackets)

I just recently came across Bracket and I am super excited about it and can't wait to dive in. My problem right out the gate is I can't for the life me configure the Live Previewing to work properly. That is why I am here. I have read
Here is what I have done with my limited knowledge concerning setting up local hosting. ( I have always used Dreamweaver and never had to do this before)
I downloaded MAMP to create a localhost, I moved my website folder and files into the MAMP htdocs folder and labeled it AWD. If I type in local host in my browser it pulls up INDEX of/ AWD/ (folder), if I click on the folder it downloads a blank file, and that is it.
I have tried:
file:///C:/MAMP/htdocs/AWD/ - File not supported needs to be http:// (if I type this into my browser the site shows)
http://C:/MAMP/htdocs/AWD/ - This website is not available
http://localhost/MAMP/htdocs/AWD/ - Not Found
I found this on this Forum but can't make sense of the information.

First off, thank you for your help, I appreciate it. To answer your question no both http://localhost:8080/AWD/ and http://localhost:8888/AWD/ do not work. If I type just localhost in my Chrome Browser it takes me to an INDEX of / page and has one directory listed AWD. When I click on the AWD it proceeds to download a blank file.
One of the only things that has worked was typing file:///C:/MAMP/htdocs/AWD/ in my browser, which isn't supported in Brackets. I can type that in and it takes me to the overall AWD Directory and I can see all of my files. If I click on one of my PHP files it will show the page.

Report margin is different in Live Previewer and AP

Hi, expert:
I am using Report 6i and have encountered a problem of margin.
I created a report and in "Layout Model" I draged the borders to maximun the body part.
(Because I don't want my report has any margin).
It works fine when I use Live Previewer to see the result.
The result appears in the first line of window and there are no top and left margin.
However, after I launch my report to AP(financial module) and run it on the portal,
no matter I choose Excel or Browser to see the result, it always has top and left margin.
(Should be margin, right? Because it has empty space on the top and the left of the result)
I have no idea where to adjust it since in Report Builder there is no such empty space in Live Previewer.
Can anyone tell me where to adjust this? Thanks so much.

They are a Fix Pack higher than you which may explain why it's broken on their server.
Download the Fix Pack for R2 and see if you can duplicate the issue.

[SOLVED] Gnome 3.2 Document, Contacts and file preview Problems

Hi, I just enabled the testing the community testing repos today. I updated and I got a huge list of updates and pacman downloaded them. However while checking for file conflicts it said locale.sh was found in /etc/profile.d/ folder and hence it did not install anything. However, I moved the locale.sh folder to my home folder and then proceeded with the installation. It all went smooth. I restarted and was presented with the new login screen. I login and find the new user menu, hot plugs notifications working.
However, Gnome-Documents and Gnome-Contacts are missing. I searching in the application overview but couldn't find it. Also the live preview in nautilus does not work with the keyboard shortcut 'spacebar'. Does anybody have this problem and how to solve this?
Reading through my pacman log file, I see the following error messages during the installation.

I was having problems with the Live preview and tried your debugging method.
I received the following in Chrome:

Is there a security setting I need to change?

{text-rendering : optimizeLegibility} turns off google webfont in DW CS6 live preview (suddenly)

I'm currently working on two websites for the UN, based on Wordpress, child themes based on twentytwelve and twentythirteen.
I started to work a certain time ago on the child theme for 2012 which uses "Open Sans" fonts.
I don't remember having any problem with this site: everything was working ok, I made a few changes but nothing important.
I turned to the nd website based on 2013-theme, it works perfectly and DW CS6 is a real time saver for creating a child-theme, nonetheless...
This morning I turned back to the 2012-based wordpress site: every text was simply not displayed anymore... only in live preview in DW...
Even with the parent theme, the text was siply not displayed (so don't suggest my css code is bugged or what...)
After a while, I figured out it was not really a problem regarding the font itself, but with the CSS property "text-rendering" with value set "optimizeLegibility".
Commenting out this declaration solved the problem. Nonetheless...
1 month ago there was no problem. Then suddenly...
Is there a problem with the live preview mode and this CSS property? (indeed there is a problem)
Can we have a fix for this? I mean, an update for DW CS6 (not for DW CC) ?

Normally, according to https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/text-rendering Gecko could take it in charge too, but seems to override this setting (a thing I can understand, Gecko is using a fast rendering engine). So you're right: at this time, it can impact only webkit/chromium engines. Which, as far as I know is the underlying engine(s) behind "Live Preview". And it does impact readibility in DW CC (it improves it).
Personnally I'ls better stick to the real CSS properties for kerning, alternative uppercases and ligatures, BUT the wordpress team seemed to think it was a good idea to use it (along with many other strange ideas such as using rem unit for the layout).
The real thing here is: some weeks ago, when I started to tune the 2012-based theme I use for this site, I'm pretty sure I was able to read the text in Live Preview in DW CS6. I wouldn't have chosen to use this theme with such an annoyance, else. So basically, it's really strange that suddenly this property has such an impact on the "live preview" mode of DW CS6. What I would really appreciate here is a small update/bugfix to DW CS6: I don't need this property to be taken in charge in DW CS6 as it is done in DW CC, I'ld just want this property not to impact the live preview.
Last : I mentionned an update of DWCC being possibly a culprit for this. How relevant could be this statement ? Are "live preview" modes shared by DW CC and DW CS6 ? (Even if, of course, this "bug" is not happening with DWCC).

Sounds to me like you've almost cracked it!
You have one error that could cause problems and that's the stray </blockquote> tag. Just delete it.
The alt="" text will show as an error on the validator but that's easy to fix and worth doing.

It looks like you have that rule repeated further down the page like this:
html { overflow-y: scroll; }
There's an extra curly brace there (}) anyway, so it is badly formed but the whole rule and extra curly brace can go.
You can fix those errors but I have a sneaky suspicion that it isn't gong to solve the issue you describe.
Fix those issues anyway and post back. Maybe if you can show a screen shot of what you are seeing in DW it might help?

PS: It's never a good idea to have file names on the web that have spaces in. Your background rule has this:
background-image: url(../images/orange%20plaid.jpg);
That .jpg should be orangeplaid.jpg or orangePlaid.jpg or orange_plaid.jpg and the change should be reflected in the reference to the image so, orangePlaid.jpg should be:
background-image: url(../images/orangePlaid.jpg);

Background images in chrome live preview buggy

I noticed a bug in live preview where the background image would not render.
Has anyone else reported this?

After Effects Live Previews Stopped Working

When working inside of after effects my live previews are not working anymore, I used to have it so when I moved slider it would let me watch things, now that this has been disabled somehow its way harder for me to do my work done efficent & fast.

Presets does not show anymore the live preview

The first three times I used Aperture 3, the "Presets" showed the live preview. Example : Presets/Color/Cross Process 1 showed a small image where I could appreciate before clicking. Now the live preview image is not shown anymore. I uninstalled Aperture completely and after reinstalling, it worked for a day or two. After that, impossible to get back the live preview. I'm working on the newest MacBookPro 17'' with 8GB Ram. I also installed the latest update of Aperture.

I had a glitch were all the adjustments and histogram appeared to be active at the same time as the quick preview was on. The sliders moved but no adjustment was applied. Maybe a similar problem? Allan

Photobooth live preview gives No-Signal (Canon EOS 70D)

I have a Canon 70D which is being used as a Photobooth. There is no software used. The Camera is connected to a LCD via HDMI for live view and the photos are clicked using a remote.
The connection is good over HDMI and the photos are being clicked too. The problem is loss of HDMI signal. After clicking 5-6 photos, the LCD signal goes off and comes back only if the photo is clicked again or if we press the live preview switch on the camera. Sometimes, the signal looses after single shot also.
I have checked the quality of the HDMI cable and it is very good. The camera and LCD are connected by Adapters and no battery is being used, so there is no chance of power being turned off.
Please let me know what is the solution for this.

Live preview differs from IExplore

Hello all, i created a template in photoshop and opened it in dreamweaver. when i view the live, it seems to display clean and crisp. but when i try it in internet explore its seems a bit pixelated. it is not very obvious but my keen eye can tell me. i have also noticed when i draw a div box and place text in it, the preview is fine in the live preview but the div box shifts about 3 spaces to to the left in IExplore. i have not loaded a css to the file as am not experienced creating css layouts. Is there a way to fix these problems.

FWIW Browser variation is nothing new. When you're experienced with CSS, you learn to build your sites and test them to perform well in the standards compliant browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari). Then use conditional comments or hacks to fix things that don't work in IE.
As for pixelation, it could be you optimized your images poorly in PShop or didn't save them correctly for the web as JPEG or PNG. But there's no way we can help you without seeing your page.

Preview problems, Premiere CS5 Windows

Hi!
I´ve been using Premiere for 10 years, so I should know it pretty well, but this is my case:
I start Premiere, choose "New project", tried different sequence settings, but the DVCPro HD 25 (PAL) is the most relevant. Inside Premiere, I import a clip, and drag it onto the timeline. So far, everything´s normal. The problems starts when I press the space button for preview. The only thing´s happening is the play symbol changes to a stop symbol in the composition window. No timecode´s running, no moving marker, and only a still image in the composition window. I can jog it frame by frame, and I can move the marker, and everything is fine, but also no playback. The play button in comp window does not make a change.
My next problem is to get this version to work with my Black Magic Decklink Extreme. I have an output signal, but no picture.
My system:
Pentium i7
12GB RAM
Win 7

Thanks, but I´ve found a problem with my Decklink Extreme PCI card. The Premiere preview problem happens only when I´m using any Black Magic presets. Is Decklink Extreme PCI/windows 7/Adobe CS5 a bad combination? I´m not able to get any picture on my monitor from the decklink what so ever (composite/component), but there´s a signal there (black video). Worked fine in XP (with CS3), kind of worked in win7 with my old configuration (4GB RAM, single core AMD-processor), and absolutely no response now.
