Composit Cable Cover Output

When im connecting my iPhone to a tv, is it posible to have the cover displayed on the tv (cable works perfectly and im using version 1.1.1)

Welcome to the discussions, LordKun.
The output is used for the playback of videos, only. Currently, there's no way to display cover artwork on a TV while listening to the speakers.

My TV has only 2 HDMI conections that are all ready in use for Directv and the Blueray. Can I use composed cables to conect Apple TV

I'm going to take a guess and say that if your TV has 2 HDMI ports, it also has a component input (5 wire).   I'm also going to guess that either your DirecTv or your Blueray has a component output option.  If I had this setup, I would put my DTV on the component option and use the open HDMI port for the ATV2.
I doubt you will be able to tell the difference on your DTV.  Most of the stores that demo HD use component wiring on their store models.  The only downside is that you may be giving up the highest sound (Dobly 5.1 or whatever they call it.)
Or you could just go to switching the HDMI cords from your BluRay to the ATV2 depending on which one you are watching.  I think I use my BluRay about 5% or less of my viewing time.  If I "tossed", I wouldn't shed a tear.

  • Replacing ribbon cable cover flap on HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus

On the above printer I was trying to close the lcd flap and somehow knocked off another little flap thing underneath which i didn't even know was there. I'm guessing it's a flap that comes out to protect the ribbon cable underneath, but I cannot figure out how to replace in in such a way that it stays folded out while the screen is lifted up.  Thanks for any info.

  • Video output via composite cable & video output on iPad screen

Is it possible to have the video play on the iPad simultaneously as it outputs to composite cable? Whenever I play a video with the composite cable plugged in, the iPad displays a screen shot of a random video (same screen shot every single time). It's a complete mystery to me. Any ideas?

It sounds normal to me. The composite and AVGA out on the iPad do not mirror the the iPad's display as you found out. However, there may be some apps that will show video on both screens.

  • Cables for outputting video to tv

are there any apple cables or any other cables that are capable of outputting video from a macbook to an hdtv. I have a HDTV with only component connections so maybe a dvi to component converter/cable? i have no idea, any help is appreciated. Thanks

would a vga to component cable work? like from the mini dvi to vga then that is connected a vga to component cable. my tv is 1080i and i just want the full resolution w/o having to pay like 180 for a transcoder.

  • Connect Cable Box Output to MacPro USB Input

Is it possible (using appropriate cable) to connect the HDMI output of a cable box to a USB 2.0 input on a Mc Pro in order to view cable TV programs?

    BDAqua has it right.
HDMI has nothing compatible with USB. USB is far too slow, and the signal levels and data encoding are completely different.
If you could get past all that, they still would have nothing to say to each other.
And Macs generally have no HDMI inputs, only outputs.
To view Cable TV programs off your cable box, you need a TV set.

  • IPad 1 - VGA cable not outputting to projector, monitor or TV?

I recently purchased the apple VGA cable so that i could project powerpoint presentations using my iPad 1. I have no success at all using any applications to make this work. Slideshark, Keynote etc.
I had read that only video streaming is supported, however, i cannot get Youtube or any other content to show up. The cable works fine with my iPhone 4S.
Is there a setting I need to adjust on my iPad? When I plug it into a computer monitor, projector, or TV it seems to detect a signal but the screen stays black.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
    Aleks

Thanks all... of course after I posted the query, I decided to do a forum search and found that this was not a unique question...in fact the VGA connector for the iPad1 is about useless. I did do a Slideshow and the images DID display on the external monitor. So the system does work, albeit with some decided limitations.
Well, not a reason to get an iPad2 yet, this was an experiment and not a regular requirement for me.
Still.... an odd decision by Apple to be so selective about what it allows to clone. And while they are at it, next time around, an extended desktop option would be really, really neat.

  • Process Composer - Automated Activity - Output Mapping Error

    Hi,
I am trying to consume the standard
    DocumentERPCreateRequestConfirmation_In_V1
    service in a process - CE 7.1 EHP1.
Created one automated activity in the process to execute this service.
When I try to do Output Mapping for the automated activity to Context, it throws an error:
    Incompatible expression type.
    Expected:Log,ns="http://example.org/test"
    Found:Log,ns="http://sap.com/xi/EA-APPL/SE/Global"
"http://example.org/test" is the namespace of the context I'm using - a Web Dynpro Context.
Any idea why is it so & what the error is?
    Thanks,

  • Audio cable for output

The manual for my new iMac says that the "headphone out" can also serve as a S/PDIF digital out port using a 3.5 mini-phone jack. Where can I get such a cable that has 3.5 jack on one end and an RCA on the other for the the digital transfer. I have heard that a common 3.5 cable will not work.
Has anyone used this port for digital audio out?
    thanks, Kendall

    hey there Roger,
i know, i have a Toslink optical out from my 17 CD iMac to my Sony AVR & been in use for over 18 months(i've also been using the standard optical out from my DP G5 for over 4 years & a 3.5 mm mini phone plug adapter from my portable Sharp mini disc over 6 years), but it doesn't use an RCA connector they aren't compatible. S/PDIF is a like a specification or protocol in this instance. S/PDIF over coax isn't the same as S/PDIF over fiber optic for making the *physical connections*. try putting the coax out from your DVD player(RCA connector) into an optical port to see what i mean. *the OP was wanting to connect using TOSlink(fiber optic) to RCA(coax)*

  • Which cable to output MacBook Pro display to HDTV

I have an LG with both S-video and USB inputs. What sort of cable do I use to watch on the big screen?

No HDMI input on the TV? You could try a mini displayport to VGA adapter and then a VGA to S-video cable. I haven't tried it so I'm not certain it will work.

  • Can I watch all content including sky app on tv using the composit cable

Is it straightforward to plug iPod into a tv

TV out only works with the apps that support TV out,  You have to look at the description of the apps you want to use to check to see if they support TV out.  Some do not use TV out at all and some only on some models like the 4G.

  • VF03 smartform: Output could not be issued

    Hi All,
Ive created a custom invoice print program and associated smartform.
These two run perfectly together when standing alone.
However Ive created a custom  output type to call this program from VF03.
This output type appears in the "Issue Output To "options in VF03.
But it returns the message "Output could not be issued" when trying to print.
In debug mode the Print Program and smartform execute perfectly when calling from VF03 in the same way, but the output fails to appear.
In the Header -Output section inside the status of the output type is "Not Processed".
    Any ideas guys??

    Hi
It seems that the Output determination is not taking place correctly
the link between the Output type and Program and smartform is not established peoperly
You have to assign this in SPRO  for the billing documents
And most of the times it won't work we assign our custom program to the custom output type
it is better to use the std output type and the Std program(you copy the std and can change it but the same copied ZPeogram to be attached) and Copied/modified smartform.
    check this.
Output is a link between the Driver Program and the Sapscript,
An output type summarizes messages of the same meaning. It contains parameters that are valid for all its assigned messages, for example appropriate partner functions.
Transmission medium is a medium which the layout will be come out, this may be printout, Fax or Mail
    Check this link.

    ex-how to config output type.
You will assign output types using Transaction NACE.
Do the follow steps to assign output type
1)Select Application Type V2 which will have description Shipping.
    2)Click on Output types button.
3)Go to change mode by pressing Ctrl+F4.
4)Select one output type which already exists
    5)Do Copy As(F6)
6)Give your output type against Output Type field.
7)Under General data Tab, Give Program and Form routine and Save the data.
i think it a work of functional guy but at senior level i think it is not a big deal for abaper.
    Check the following documentation
In NACE t-codewe have the application for each one. based on the application output type can be defined, based on output type script and print progrma can be defined.
If suppose data can be read from EDI then we should go for condition records.
So whenever we execute the script first composer checks the output type and then execute the program. in program whenever opn form FM will be populate then script will open first. After that again program till another FM will populate if it then script will populate........like it is cycle proces. Composer does all these things and at last it will submit that output to spool.
    Go to the Transaction NACE.
choose the related sub module.. like billing or shipping
    doubel click on Output Types
Choose the Output Type for which whcih you wanted your script to trigger
Then select the Output Type and double click on Processing Routine
Then go to create new entries--> Select the Medium (1- print output), then enter your Script and Print Program detls --> Save and come out
Now go to the Transaction (for which you have created the output type)... Issue output--> Select the output type --> Print....
Device Types for SAP Output Devices (Detail Information)
    Definition
The device type indicates the type of printer to be addressed. When you define an output device, choose the name of the device type that was defined in the SAP System for your printer model, such as Post2 for a PostScript printer. In the case of frontend printing under Microsoft Windows, you can also use the generic (device-independent) device type SWIN.
The system uses the information in the device type to convert a document from the internal SAP character representation (spool request in OTF or in text format) to a device-specific, print-ready data stream (output request). Since a device type specifies attributes that apply to all devices of a certain model, it can be shared among device definitions. For example, all devices in the SAP spool system that are compatible with Hewlett-Packard LaserJet IIID printers would use the HPLJIIID device type.
You should not confuse the device type with the printer driver. The device type is the total of all attributes of an output device that the SAP System must know to control the output device correctly, such as control commands for font selection, page size, character set selection, and so on. These attributes also include the printer driver that SAPscript/Smart Forms (the SAP form processor) should use for this printer. The SAPscript printer driver that is to be used for devices of this type for output formatting is therefore only an attribute that the device type specifies.
How do I choose the correct device type?
    • In most cases, the SAP System already provides the appropriate device type for the printer type for the printer model that you want to use.
These standard device types are completely defined and need no modification or extension before you use them in device definitions.
    • You can also download missing device types from the sapserv server. For a current list of the supported device types, see SAP Note 8928 in the SAP Service Marketplace.
    • Most printers can be controlled using a generic format, such as PostScript. They can be switched to a mode that is compatible with one of the standard printers for which an SAP device type is available. In this case, a supported model is emulated.
    • Almost all printers are delivered with Microsoft Windows printer drivers. The system can control these printers with the generic (device-independent) device type SWIN. The Microsoft Windows spool system then performs the processing of the print data.
    • If the specified device types are not available, and generic device types cannot be used, you must create your own device type or edit a copy of an existing device type. We recommend that only those with specialist knowledge of the SAP Spool System and printer driver code do this. For more information, see Defining a New Device Type .
    Attributes of a Device Type
A device type is distinguished by the attributes listed below. If you change an existing device type or create a new device type, you must change at least some of these attributes.
    • Character set: A character set specifies the codes with which characters must be represented in the print-ready output stream (output request). This code replaces the generic SAP characters set that is used internally by the SAP spool system (spool request).
    • Printer driver: You can specify different printer drivers for printing SAPscript documents and ABAP lists.
    • Print controls: Print controls represent printer operations, such as boldface or changing the font size. These print control are replaced by printer-specific commands during the creation of the output request from a spool request.
    • Formats: Formats specify the format supported by the SAP system. The system differentiates between SAPScript formats (DINA4 and LETTER) and ABAP list formats (X_65_132 = 65 rows/132 columns).
    • Page format: A page format is the interface between a format and SAPscript. It specifies the paper dimensions with which SAPScript can calculate the row and column lengths.
    • Actions: Actions are output device-specific commands that are required for the implementation of a format. The action printer initialization, for example, can contain a printer command with which the number of rows on a page is defined. There is a set of actions for every format supported by a device type.
    Output Determiantion :
You can use output control to automate either messages or subsequent processing of partner-specific messages"
This means, it provides a method for you to perform subsequent processing once a document is saved in the system. This subsequent processing is normally to print the document, but can also include activities such as:
    - Faxing the document
    - Emailing the document
    - Sending an idoc of the document
    - Sending an EDI message for the document (via an Idoc)
    - and so on.
In general, it uses the condition technique to determine what, if any, output is to be produced. The condition technique works by selecting key fields from the document (document type, plant, etc.) and matching them to master data records you have previously set up. If there is a match, then output is produced.
You can use transaction NACE for the output determination settings for all applications.
    1. When you start transaction NACE, a list of all represented applications appears.
    2. From this initial screen, you can access all the individual processing screens for output determination from the EDIT menu.
    3. Select the relevant application. This transaction does not have a menu path in customizing.

  • How to Output Digital Audio to Male Mini USB Connector?

I would like to input digital audio from my iPhone 5 to my headphone DAC/amplifier. The latter has a mini USB female connector for digital signal input. I envisage the following options, listed in the order of preference:
    1. A cable with a male Lightning connector to a male Mini USB connector. This would be the most elegant solution but does such a cable exist?
    2. Apple Lighting to female Micro USB adapter plus a male Micro USB to male Mini USB cable. Does this pass audio?
    3. Apple Lightning to male USB connector (the cable which came with the phone) plus a female USB to male Mini USB connector. This should work technically because the Apple stock cable does output audio from the phone to my car audio system.
    4. Any other ideas?
Which of the above options would be best to send digital audio from my iPhone 5 to my headphone DAC/amplifier? Thank you.

I believe you are not correct. You likely have not read my question entirely because I said that:
"This should work technically because Apple stock cable does output audio from the phone to my car audio system".
In other words, I connect my iPhone 5 using the supplied Lightning charging cable to the USB input of the car audio system and the music plays just fine.
However, I need a cable that has a Mini USB male connector, not a regular USB connector. Is there such a thing, or should I go with Options 2 or 3?
    Thanks.
