Composite Form Instantiation Error

Hi All,
When I'm trying to instantiate a composite form in GP gallery, a window is poped up with the URL http://epdev:53000/ifcore/formrequestor/E51035F1CEF011DCC8FC0019BBD51B8E/0/1
and text "page cannot be displayed".
If I change the port from 53000 to 50000, I can get the PDF file successfully.
So, how can I change the default port of it from 53000 to 50000?

Running Business Rules on Composite Forms

Hi,
I'm using Planning v11.1.2, and I am trying to get a business rule to run from a Composite web form. The version and entity are the only prompts in the business rule, and they are shared globally on the component forms. If I put the business rule on the component forms, it doesn't even make an attempt to run on save. If I put it on the composite form, it attempts to run, but fails ("An error occurred while processing this page. Check the log for details."
Shouldn't business rules be able to run from composite forms? If not, why is the option to put them in there? If so, does anyone have any insight into this problem?

Thanks John, but unfortunately, neither one of those is my issue. The first says I can't have the business rule on the base form if I have it on the composite form. The rule is not on the base form, and it still won't run on the composite form. The second one I don't understand at all. The symptom "Business Rules are not running with composite data forms when the 'Run on Save' option is checked". The cause "The Business Rule is not running when it is run from a base form." Huh? This is a cause? The solution: "You need to attach the Business Rule to the composite form, not just the base form." This would seem to indicate that I have to have the rule on both the base form and the composite form. It doesn't work no matter which way I set it up.
Furthermore, in testing to see what's going on, I tried taking off the hide prompt option, and the rule does not appear to be taking the entity from the page member on the form (it just displays the last entity chosen).

Start a GP with a Composite Form

Hi,
At the moment I've got a GP set up that starts with a Composite Form, then into a VC and then further doing some other less important steps.
I managed to get them all in the GP, but I can't really test or run anything.
- The Form has a large amount of Output/Input Parameters, how should I apply them?
- When I try to do a "Test run" on the form, I get this error:
Error creating PDF: Error creating PDF: PDFDocument Processor failed to process RenderRequest...
- When I instantiate it, and try to run the URL, it gives me the option to enter in some data, and then to Initiate the process, I get this error:
Process could no tbe initiated. Activity could not be read...
Any help is appreciated,

I am trying to install 9iAS R2 on a Win2k server. Configuration of all products was successful except for Forms. I got this error, which means nothing to me. Any ideas?

Running Business Rules with global Variables in Composite Forms

Hi,
I am having trouble running Business Rules, that include Global Variables, in composite forms.
I have two forms in the composite form, both have entity in Page dimension set to 'local'. one includes entities at level 3 and the other has entities at level 0. I need to pass this level 0 entity to the business rule, from the form.
When i try to run the rule, it gives me the following error:
"This rule cannot be launched because it has hidden rtp variables without default values "
I get this error even when i set the default value for the global variable.
This rule runs perfectly when run from the individual form (which is part of the composite form).
Please help.

Known Issue: 9900514
The Use Members on Data Form and Hide Prompt options for business rules attached to composite data forms apply only for runtime prompt values from the globally shared pages and POVs of a composite data form. In other words, this will only use members that are shared across all component data forms. If users want a business rule to take context from a single component data form, they should attach the business rule to that component data form and include the business rules for that component data form at the composite data form level (<Business rules for componentX>).
Please let me know if this is not what we are talking about.

Crystal Report Windows Forms Viewer Error in 1 Workstation after upgrade of PL

Hi all,
We just upgraded SAP from 8.82 PL02 to 8.82 PL15.
Afterwards, in just 1 workstation, Crystal Reports layouts have Crystal Report Windows Forms Viewer error I attach.
Before the upgrade this error did not happen.
No permissions or authorizations were changed in the workstation.
The Crystal Reports layouts remain working fine in server and in the other workstations.
In the workstation following are installed:
- Operating System Windows 7;
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5;
- SAP Crystal Reports runtime engine for. NET Framework;
- Crystal Report 2008 Runtime SP6;
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Native Client.
All, but the operating system, are equal to the other workstations.
User has edit access to SAP folders, temp and access to the attach path.
We already uninstalled SAP client and client agent and re-installed it but with no avail.
Can anyone help me?

InfoPath form, rich text fields, "There was a form postback error" InvalidOperationException, There has been an error while processing the form

Using InfoPath 2013 browser enabled form.
I am getting the above error on ALL Infopath Designed Rich Text fields, where the "Cannot be blank" attribute is set.
To reproduce it, I create a custom list and custom list form with InfoPath 2013. I add 2 Rich Text fields and enable "cannot be blank". To raise the error, I put some data in the RT field. Skip to another field (so focus is changed and a postback
occurs), then back to original field to delete the contents (to raise the validation).
I originally thought it was associated with the HTMLCHKR.DLL not being registered (and I have re-registered it just in case), but the exception I get from the ULS logs reads (it is from a list AFTER I have re-registered the DLL):

I noticed that errors associated with the HTMLCHKR.DLL not being registered would have some sort of COM exception (example: TYPE_E_LIBNOTREGISTERED or REGDB_E_CLASSNOTREG)
I also should mention that this problem started happening about 3 weeks ago. We have extended the web application to handle HTTPS on the intranet zone (we had a reverse proxy project that did not eventuate) - would that cause something? How can I do further
checking?

I created a custom list and custom list form with InfoPath 2013. I added 2 Rich Text fields and enabled "cannot be blank". I put some content in the RT field, then delete the contents, I got the error message:"there has been an
error while processing the form."
Here is a similar post said that executing the command: regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\
OFFICE14\htmlchkr.dll" will solve the issue.

If you want to show Form1, you can use form.show() method

First ever Web Form - URL error

Hi. I'm attempting to call my first Web form, but I'm getting this error:

http://springfield01:7777/forms/frmservlet?config=ttmsmenu
ERROR:
500 Internal Server Error
Forms Servlet Error.
Missing or invalid value for baseHTML parameter.
Please check the servlet configuration to make sure this value specifies a valid file.

Planning Menu Doesn't Show Options to Access Composite Forms

I have a menu in Planning that links to a composite form. Only administrators see the option when the menu is used in the form. Non-Admins have all of the appropriate security and this problem only occurs with composite forms.

Composite Form Wizard

Hi Folks,
I was trying to create a Composite Form through GP Design Time. I am not able to find the Composite Form Wizard Link in the Navigational Panel. I have added all the GP related roles. Can somebody help me here?

Hi Abhishek,
are you using NW 7.0 (2004s)? If so, you might need to switch on composite forms first. To do that, you must set the relevant parameter (compositeforms.enable) in Visual Administrator to true.

Opening a composite form in SV

Hi, Hemanth! :) Thanx so much for replying! I am using version 9.3.1.2.0 and I am connected to http://<server_name>:8300/HyperionPlanning/SmartView. It has not worked since the very beginning and I have nearly begun believing that it is the standard limitation of SmartView but since nobody has confirmed it yet I guess I am having a bug/ I would be very grateful for any help! :)

Composite form and business rules

I have combined two planning forms into a composite form.
The two planning forms have business rules associated with them with the action to execute upon save.
I don't see it clearly in the documentation but I am assuming when the users use the composite upon save the composite will execute the rules associated with the planning forms? Or do I have to establish the business rules on the composite?

I'm running 11.1.1.2. I have a composite form made up of two forms, one of which has a rule associated with the save. When I save the composite form, it runs the rule associated with the "sub" form. (There are no rules associated with the composite form itself.)
It looks like you should be able to do this either way - associate the rule with the composite or with the sub form. I've got them associated with the "sub" forms, just in case someone accidentally runs the sub-form instead of the composite.

Composite Forms and Business Rules

Working with 11.1.2.3. I have a composite form with 4 tabs - 3 input tabs and 1 review tab. Each of the 3 input tabs have the same business rule attached to them and are set to Run on Save. Within the composite form I have selected the business rules from the 3 input tabs.
Problem is, when a user enters data into one of the tabs and then clicks Save, the business rule runs twice.
Any ideas what would cause this?

In regards to the 3 input forms, the Page/POV sections were slightly different. For example, Input 1 had No_Category and No_Brand in the POV and Channels in the rows, Input 2 had No_Channel and No_Brand in the POV and No_Categories in the rows and Input 3 had No_Channel and No_Category in the POV and Brands in the rows.
I have since modified the forms so all 3 Input forms have the same members in the POV (these are No_ICP and No_Function) and also have the same members in the Page (Local_Input and SC_No_Scenario). As part of the change I also have Channels, Categories and Brands in the rows of all 3 Input forms (although each Input form has different members from the Channel, Category or Brand dimensions)
Anyway, even after making these changes, the business rule runs multiple times. (I did notice that when I Save data in the Category form the rule runs once. When I run Save data in the Brand form the rule runs twice and when I Save data in Channel form the rule runs 3 times.)
Very strange - and very frustrating. (Rule takes 34 seconds to run, which is almost too long. Multiply that by 2 or 3 times and it's much too long of a wait.)

Parameter form format error

I have just deployed my first report to our 9iAS app server. I can successfully run the report in my browser if I pass ALL parameters in the URL. When I attempt to use paramForm=YES in my URL, the parameter form appears like it should, but when I selected values (LOV) on the parameter form and click "Submit Query", I get the following error.

Can anyone tell me what is wrong? This report run fine, including the parameter selection, in the Report Builder. I simply saved the report out to a JSP and copied it to the report server.

You may have hit a bug when passing parameter paramform as "PARAMFORM=yes" or "Paramform=yes", you will get the REP-52007 error. The fix will be available in Reports 9.0.2.1.
As a work around, please submit the request with all lower case "paramform=yes" and try again.
