Condition handling , message...endmessage in eCATT
Can anybody tell me the process, how to use message...endmessage block by adding rules.
and how to execute the flow using these rules,
here there are two questions,
1) how to define rules in message interface,
2) how to use those rules in out script and write a condition based on the rule,
pls give me some exapmle.

the best way to handle error messages is to doubleclick on 'MSG_1' in the following example:
message ( MSG_1 ).
SAPGUI ...
endmessage ( E_MSG_1 ).
A window appears, where everything about messages can be done.

Hello Gurus,
Could someone please explain how we can use Message EndMessage command. I have gone through the ecatt command reference on help.sap but I am unable to follow it.
I am using a TCD command which runs a program and within that program it calls and executes different methods and function modules. If the program executes sucessfully then it updates some tables and if does not run sucessfully then it shows corresponding message. So all that I want to do is check for those messages based on return type and display the same message in ecatt log when program does not run sucessfully and the next steps should not be run.
Your help in this regard is highly appreciated.

I have tried using this command however I am not getting the desired output. I dont know whether I am doing it correctly or not. So I will explain it to you and please let me know if I am doing it the right way:
MESSAGE ( MSG_1 ).
TCD ( SE38 , SE38_3 ).
ENDMESSAGE ( E_MSG_1 )
Within the program I have different methods and function modules. for all of them return_type, return_id and return_no are the same only msgv1 to msgv4 are different. I am hoping return_type, return_id and return_no are same as msg_type, msg_id and msg_no. So in Message command Interface i am passing return_type, return_id and return_no into msg_type, msg_id and msg_no and setting mode as E.
When i run the script i get error "specify a program name". So i am not sure I am doing the right way.
Also i would like to know how to get the message that is there in msgv1 to msgv4 in log. That is I am looking to print the message in log for the message I get during pgm execution.

According to me the problem doesn't lie in MSG and END MSG block rather the problem should be in your recording ( SE38 --> ABAP Editor) itself. The program name to the initial screen to be passed(along with other parameters) while playback or during execution of eCATT so i think that the program name isn't passed or this field is either not parameterized or not handled in a right way. Please check whether you have parameterized the right field or check your Dynpros(or check TCD interface again)
If you still get problem after you have checked the interface then please let us know.

Conditionally sending messages to multiple consumers
How would I best accomplish this requirement?
I have one system which produces messages
Multiple systems may want to consume those messages
I want the producer to be able to send messages conditionally
In one instance perhaps I send same message to each consumer
However in another case maybe I only want to send a message to consumers A and B
It would be OK if I could flag certain messages to be for certain consumers, and then those consumers only retrieve those messages designated to them. However I dont think this is possible as any such flag the consumer would have to read once it actually consumes the message and reads it, I dont think there is any way for the queue to make that decision for them.
So it sounds like what I need is a hybrid of point-to-point and publish-subscribe
I want a universal way to conditionally send messages to one or more consumers, and the conditions are dynamic.
Any suggestions?

But the subscriber does not actually have to "fetch" each message to determine if the message is meant for him or not, right? When using message filters this act at the queue, not at the client? Basically I want to avoid a client downloading 1,000 messages only to find out none of them are for him. unfortunately, that's probably up to the implementation. the implementation may choose to work that way (download every message and check it), or it may have a way of applying the filter at the server. however, the filters work only on the message properties, so the impl may be able to just get message headers and filter w/out getting the entire message. you'll have to test with the jms impl you are planning on using and see how that works.

And looks like they are specified at the time the client looks up the queue in JNDI?yes, these are provided at subscription time.
Now is this limited to publish-subscribe?no you can use selectors when subscribing to a queue as well. but, queues won't scale very well to lots of consumers (and are hard to manage with dynamic numbers of consumers). -
Failure handling message problem in deployment

I have some transient attributes in EO and mandatory=true. I have given validation failure handling message. It is properly showing in my local system with highligting the attribute but after deployment on sever all the transient attributes don't show that messages. it shows "WCS error occured. Please contact to system Administrator".

We are using both Remoting and HttpService calls for our business application.
We were able to communicate with the LCDS server till this point with whatever default settings provided for AMFChannel configuration in services-config.xml through a flex client. Also we have a clustered environment for this servers which works out fine till now.
Now for performance enhancement improvements, we started using Caching Mechanism for our HttpService urls (through some third party service), which will now be cached on the network instead of accessing every time from our clustered servers. But all our AMF calls through Remoting services are still the same.
So after migrating to this Caching environment, we started encountering intermittent issues where some of our AMF calls were failing with falling exception trace :

FlexPirateIt might be a bit late but replying for anyone who lands on this page facing this same problem.
The solution for "No destination with id '<my dest id>' is registered with any service" problem is that you have to make sure your destination definition is added in your:
C:\ColdFusion9\wwwroot\WEB-INF\flex\messaging-config.xml
Secondly, If you are deploying it on a ColdFusion Server, then you have to make sure exact same definition is added in Server messaging-config.xml file as well.
This should solve this problem.
While we are at it, wanted to point another possible gotcha.
if your Server is using SSL protocol i.e. it has https:// rather than http://, Then within your <destination> definition block in messaging-config.xml, you have to add appropriate secure channels in <channels> section. You can find all available channel definitions in

Block or handle message alert in WebBroswer container

I am trying to make an application for collecting data from the Web by using WebBrowser container and .NET technique.
In a cases, the web page had no data and showed a popup message (message warning dialog) from the server (not the dialog due to script error).
In this case, I have to click the OK button manually and cannot be manipulated automatically.
This dialog was provided by the server so the option of ScriptErrorsSuppressed is useless.
I tried to get some events like NewWindow by using event Callback but cannot detect the event.
I search this kind of popup in script programming but the solution candidated cannot be applied in my code.

Theoretically you can write as many lines as you like in a static alert message using tr. ALRTCATDEF.
But if you use dynamic text to add error messages or other information coming from XI messages, that information can have a maximum length of 70 characters.
The reason is the ABAP types used for the "variables" that you add to your static text to make it dynamic are CHAR70 thus you will get your adapter error messages truncated to 70 characters for example.

How to handle message "Exception condition "CNHT_ERROR_PARAMETER" raised"?

Whenever I try to open Web Dynpro Comp./Intf->Views using transaction SE80, I am getting a short dump showing message "Exception condition 'CNHT_ERROR_PARAMETER' raised'. In the analysis, I have found that A RAISE statement in the program "CL_GUI_HTML_VIEWER============CP" raised the exception condition "CNHT_ERROR_PARAMETER". Since the exception was not intercepted by a superior program, processing was terminated. Can anyone help to get rid of this problem?

Looks like, ITS services are not fully active or not compeltely published.
Check whether webgui services are active in SICF.(test service).
Also, check all the ICM parameters.

In the user-exit USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP(SAPMV45A) a error message is throw. This message is mapped into the RETURN-table. Until this point everything is ok.
Now the problem: The BAPI SD_SALES_DOCUMENT_CREATE trys to calculate the prices and calls FM SD_SALES_ITEM_COND_MAINTAIN. The header line of the RETURN-Table is empty. In this FM the system calls subroutine "VBAP_BEARBEITEN_ENDE" in program SAPFV45P. In this subroutine calls the user exit USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAP(SAPMV45A) again and the error message is thrown again. But in this case the system stops and don't handle the message in the BAPI to return it in the RETURN table. If someone call the BAPI via RFC the system abort the connection without returning the parameter.
Do someone know this problem? Have smeone a solution?

Check for .dll files
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes and C:\Program Files\iTunes and look for .dll files.
If you find QTMovie.DLL, or any other .dll files, move them to the desktop.
Reboot your computer.
Note: Depending on your operating system, you may only have one of the listed paths.
Uninstall and reinstall iTunes
Uninstall iTunes and all of its related components.
Reboot your computer. If you can't uninstall a piece of Apple software, try using the Microsoft Program Install and Uninstall Utility.
Re-download and reinstall iTunes 11.1.4.

How to handle message prioritization in interface determination
Hi Experts,
How to handle the prioritization of messages if we say that for single source message it will be forwarded to 2 types of target messages.
Here's the scenario:
InterfaceDetermination object
SourceMessageA => TargetMessageTypeA
SourceMessageA => TargetMessageTypeB
Since both of the target messages will receive the source message, i want to prioritize that TargetMessageTypeB will be receive it first before TargetMessageTypeA.
Should I structure it in the Interface Determination as this:
SourceMessageA => TargetMessageTypeB
SourceMessageA => TargetMessageTypeA
or this should be handled by BPM? Let say BPM is the last option how could this be configured in ID?

As you have discovered by default both dequeueing via a condition and dequeue via a correlation identifier have never honoured the sort order of the queue table.
You can get it to honour the sort order by setting the following event at the session or system level or in the spfile/pfile as follows
alter session set events '10866 trace name context forever, level 1';
or
alter system set events '10866 trace name context forever, level 1';
or
alter system set event='10866 trace name context forever, level 1' scope=spfile;
Once this is set and a dequeue condition is being used an extra order by based on the sort columns of the queue table will be added to the sql which is executed internally.
So this could have an impact on the dequeue performance when using a deq_condition or dequeueing via correlation id but ultimately you will have the ordering you require.

Need to create two nodes based on one condition in message mapping.

In my mapping I have two different nodes. If my condition is true then only one node should be created otherwise both the nodes should be created.
requirement is I need to print. one header before first item record and after every 200 item records.
i.e I need to create header node if (item recordno) is 1 or (item recordno % 200) is 1. I have tried using this condition. But Iam getting all the header records( 3 headers for 600 items) in sequece and then all item records (600).
i want 1 header then 200 items , then again header followed by 200 items. so on.
Can any body help.

as graphical mapping is "target field mapping" this is not possible. The parser for graphical mapping traverses the taget message from the first element to the last!
You need another kind (ABAP, XSLT, JAVA) of mapping.
