Configuration for US Tax Reporter

Hi All,
Can anyone please explain the configuration to be done before running the Year end reports for Tax using Tax Reporter?
Also what are things to be kept in mind before running the report.?
Thanks in advance
Elz

What is the time frame to set up the tax reporter component in SAP. Can this be set up even after the system is live? The first report which we need is the for the first quarter. Does SAP need the configuration of the Tax Reporter to be set up from the beginning of the 1st pay period or is it something which can be done before april? Also can we test the results in a Quality system?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Now I want to develop an iView (in Web Dynpro) that displays fetches tax report from R/3 from transaction pc00_n20_laps_lpo.
Suggest from your experience  how to achieve it.

what are you looking at when you say tax report ... if you are looking at something like form 16 but every month then you can use the fms available and you can take an approach that is taken for payslip please.

  • Configuration for Use Tax(USA)

    Hello.
I have one problem during the project. We have to set the configuration as the customer request us.
I know that SAP delivers basic tax code for Use Tax of USA.
Actually, I don't know how to configure in order to post document with journal entry like,
          Debit                    Credit
    Expense  100  /  AP  100
Use Tax      7   / Accrual Tax  7    <<< These two lines must be created automatically.
I tried several options but, I failed.
We set tax procedure 'TAXUSJ' because other subsidiary is already using this.
    Thank you in advance.

First, make sure that the tax relevant fields in these GL accounts Master are complete.
For TAXUSJ u2013 Tax code for a specific COA is U1
I guess (not sure though), you can provide the automatic account determination using the Tcode OB40 to automatically generate the FI posting that you desire.
    Account Transaction Type: USA
    Description: USA-Accrued Use Tax
    Hope this helps,

  • How to run a silent configuration for Forms and Reports 11g ?

    Hi all,
I've run a silent installation for Oracle Forms and Reports 11g R2 in Windows 7 64 bit.
I made it using a response file called install_only.rsp. Now I want to run the configuration also in silent mode.
How can I do it ?
I know that I can use a template called configure_only.rsp. However, i don't know what is the correct syntax for the command to start configuration.
Should I use the same setup.exe installer and inform configure_only.rsp as response file ?
The command below is the appropriate command for this task:
    setup.exe -silent -response configure_only.rsp
Or is there another way to be followed?
    Thanks a lot.

Alright, I eventually found the answer.
Configuration must be run from directory on windows.
    Command is shown below:
    <FORMS_HOME>/bin/config.bat -silent -response <path-to-response-file>

  • Service Category determination for Service Tax report

    Hi All,
We have applied the SP18 at our client's place in which a new node of Service Tax has been introduced in IMG under Logistics. We would like to configure the Service Category under it.
Suppose the access sequence is maintained as (any suitable) :
Vendor + GL Acc + Tax code + Serv. Catg.
GL Acc + Tax code + Serv. Catg.
Vendor + Tax code + Serv. Catg.
    Tax code + Serv. Catg.
We would like to know what is the significance of GL Acct. here. If anyone has used this configuration, kindly help us to understand.
Also, suppose the existing service tax codes are Plant dependant then how do we map this scenario for determining Service Tax Category.
    Thanks & Regards,
    JND

    Hi Manfred,
I don't know about "Ship-to arty" use in contract determination. AFAIK Sold2-Party, Sales and Service Organization, status of the Service Contract (released), Start and End date and the object list are responsible for the Contract determination. Hence if I'm not wrong a sold2-party must be provided.
There is the CRM_SERVICE_CONTRACT Badi and what we did in our process is to use the Event framework to ensure a contract redetermination after change of the sold2-party. Take a look at CRM_SEARCH_SERV_CONTRACTS_EC for ideas in that direction.

  • Tax report for Spain - Sequential Number

The layout that I have prepared for the Tax report (RFUMSV00, Tx: S_ALR_87100833) shows the column "Sequential number." Thus, I have a relationship without jumping straight to the numbering of all invoices with VAT.
The system assigns a "Sequential number" for SAP document number. The "problem" arises when there is a bill, a SAP document, with more than one tax indicator of VAT. Then some lines appear in the Declaration of VAT with the Sequential number field in blank and that is because the number of the document (this bill) is already listed in the Declaration in another line with its own Sequential number .
How do you work with it? Can I somehow avoid that remove this Sequential number blank?

    Hi (again)
After reading the SAP note number 1628714 ( https://websmp107.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=01100107900000000342&_EVENT=REDIR&_NNUM=1628714&_NLANG=E ), I think that there isn't an SAP-standard solution.

  • File creation for Generic Withholding Tax Reporting : amounts are zero

    Hi,
I try to use the program RFIDYYWT to create the file for witholding tax reporting for France
    The format tree DMEE IDWTFILE_FR_DAS2.
I have succeeded to create a file, with the correct format/layout (so a 10, 20, 210, 30, and 31 structure), but the amounts are all equal to zero in the fle generated compared to the result on the screen after execution of the program.
Does anybody knows the solution for this problem ?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Wayne,
We opened a note with SAP and were told that a US 1042s copy could not be used within the standard system.  Looking into it further we found that the form name was coded into a selection program.  We had an ABAP developer add code that allows us to use a "Z_"  copy form.

  • Getting the BP CardName in the TAX Report

When I use the Tax report and print it , i need to add the BP Card name on the printout of this report.
Howeever, I dont see either any database related to BP from where I can use the CardName.
How to do this ? Also, for such standard reports is there any way for me to get to its SQL ?
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thank You all.
    Cheers,
    gautam

    Hi Gautam
The tax report on SAP Business One is rather complex. The reason for this is that any document could have multiple tax codes assigned, a different one for each row for example. The journal (transaction) table JDT1 does not store the tax code and therefore the only way to "simulate" the tax report will be a complex one. I have written one specific to a customers' requirements and it was not easy.
If you want to see how SAP generates the tax report, in SQL Server Management Studio, go to the database and select views, and there you will find 5 views that are used as the basis for creating the final query for the tax report as follows:
    B1_BasedDocsVatView
    B1_MarketingDocumentsView
    B1_PaymentsView
    B1_VatAcctView
    B1_VatView
These will give you all the documents needed to then create the actual tax report. You will need to add the BP name into the select statements of the above views.
Do not change these views or mess with the standard SAP Business One structures. Copy the select statements and create your own Stored Procedure with temp tables to store the data and then Execute the stored procedure from a query in SAP Business One.
    Kind regards
    Peter Juby
