Configuration of cProjects filter conditions in admin mode

Hi Guys,
does anybody know if it´s possible to customize cProjects filter conditions in admin mode, especially the ItemListBox valus?
I want to predefine just a set of possible status values to be filterd and not all possible status. Exact the same problem I have with the values of "Responsible Project Role Type". In here I also want to define only a project relevant set.
I´ve seen that it´s possible to hide a itemlistbox value as I´m logged in in normal mode. When I switch to the "sap-config-mode=x" I cannot hide these values. I only can make setting for the UI-element and not for its content.

Hello,
I create an IR report and pre-create some saved report.
I would like to hide filter condition when end-user select one report on the list so that he/she cannot see and delete the condition.
Is there anyway to do that?

Another approach:
Open view CRM_WORKAREAHDR/WorkAreaHeader and change the configuration. There is a button in the bar named "Attributes" (probably hidden under MORE).
Once in there in edit mode substitute the content of attribute "UI_COMPONENT_3". It should be
Window=CRM_ALLSEARCHES.CRM_ALLSEARCHES/LauncherWindow;horizontalAlignment=right;
put there a
Width=0px;
The other way using business role is fine as well.

WSM Managed server starts in ADMIN Mode after upgrade to 11.1.1.7

We have just upgraded our 11g SOA Cluster environment from 11.1.1.4 to 11.1.1.7. The issue is after the upgrade, our WSM servers are starting to ADMIN state with following error.

Our cluster environment has one Admin Server, and two of each OSB, WSM and SOA managed servers. As our WSM servers are not coming up, we are not able to start our SOA servers too.

Same issue here :-)), Just playing around with policies configuration, the server was running just fine, I wanted to check if the policies are applicable during runtime even the WSM managed server is down. After restart, it started in ADMIN mode, well the solution is straight. It is exactly telling that the dms application is missing the jstl library reference

So search for "jstl" within the weblogic console in search bar, it is type of library, click on it and target it to the managed server where OWSM is running as weel. It was root cause in my case, somehow the library was not targeted to our WLS_WMS1 managed server. Now the server is back in RUNNING mode. Of course apply this in case of problem with SOA servers, target it to the cluster or exact nodes and it should work.
Still I don't know how the issue has been crated, I don't think that somebody removed it from deployment. Rather I think that somebody was applying patch or some artifacts to OSB or SOA managed server and this library was required as well, but as soon as we have separated WSM cluster, it was maybe assuming that it is running within OSB or SOA clusters and therefore didn't target the WSM cluster automatically. But this is just the idea :-))

Weblogic starting in ADMIN mode for Epmserver0...11.1.2.3 version

Hi All,
I have installed Hyperion 11.1.2.3 version with sql server 2008. after configuration .. services are up and running.But i'm unable to login to worskpace/shared services.
i tried login to weblogic. under servers epmserver0 in running in ADMIN mode...insted of runnin mode.
also EPMA services are not starting...
Can anyone give me the solution for this 2 issues...

OIM_SERVER1 starting in Admin Mode

•Task 1: Identify and Prepare Oracle Database for Oracle Identity Manager 11g (Optional)
•Task 2: Use the Repository Creation Utility to Create the Schema in the Database
•Task 3: Install Oracle Fusion Middleware
•Task 4: Use Upgrade Assistant to Upgrade the Oracle Identity Manager Schema
•Task 5: Create a WebLogic Domain for Oracle Identity Manager
•Task 6: Start the WebLogic Administration Server
•Task 7: Configure Oracle Identity Manager Server 11g
•Task 8: Configure Node Manager to Start Managed Servers

In the below Task10 while starting OIM server, OIM_SERVER1 is starting in Admin mode ( i guess it should come in running mode).

Two components in ADMIN mode and need to be in RUNNING mode

Hi,
I have deployed an enterprise performance management system version 11.1.2.1 which uses web logic. Two components reported "No backend server available for connection". I started weblogic and went into the admin console. I noticed both the componenets were in admin mode, which Oracle had explained a few days ago prevented components from running properly. I shut them down by force and started them but they restarted in admin mode.
I have had little exposure to web logic and am unsure why this has occurred and how to resolve it.
The web server configuration task in epm succeeded for all products including to two in questions.
I would appreciate any assistence.

The only time I've noticed components coming up in ADMIN mode is when something in that component didn't load properly. In my case it was usually a DataSource not connecting to the database for some reason. When that happened my managed servers always came up in ADMIN mode.
I'd check the logs and see if it reports anything.

Botnet Filter with multiple Context Mode

We used the Botnet Filter in Single Context Mode for a long Time. Now we converted to multiple Context Mode and the Database is no longer updated. In the system Context I can See the update settings but when I try to update the result is always "no DNS server". Since the system context has no interfaces there are no DNS settings etc.
How should be the Botnet Filter configured in Multiple Context Mode?

Error in using a variable in filter condition in an Interface

I have an EMP table of scott schema and want to pull all the records wiht hiredate date lying between 2 dates, incremental pull.For this I have created 2 variables and using them in the filter condition. Can't find FILTER CONDITION for filters or Function_Name for Functions

In the Data Warehouse 11gr1 views all_iv_xform...
I can't seem to find the Filter Conditions for filters and function name for functions that are called.
I have looked at the other views in the documentation for the API's but can't seem to find this information.
Any body have any ideas where this information is?

Issue in using presentation variable as filter condition in the reports

I have an issue in using presentation variable as filter condition in my reports the details are as follows:
Details :
We want to implement the Max and Min variables through Presentation variables only.we do not want to implement it through session variables in this case.
We have two variables MIN and MAX to be used as Presentation Variables,for a column of the report (which is a quantity),so that the user wants to see the data for this column within a particular range.i.e the Min and the Max.This part has been implemented well . The issue is when the user wants to see the full data.In that case we will not pass any values to these two Presentation Variable or in other words we are not restricting the report data so we are not passing any value to the variables,this is when the report is throwing the error. we want to leave this variables blank in that case.but this is giving error.
Please suggest how can I overcome this issue.

i think you have to use guided navigation for this. create two reports first is the one you are having currently and second is the one in which remove the presentation variable from the column formula. i.e. the same report with no aggregation applied.
Now create a dummy report and make it return value only when the presentation variable value is not equal to max or min. guide the report to navigate between the first and second report based on the result of the dummy report.

Getting filter condition values from a table within the mapping

I have a table say mytable with columns as name, age and maritalstatus. I have another table paramtable with the following structure parametername, parametervalue. The data in this would be like say
Age >= 24
Maritalstatus F
Now from the table mytable I want to apply a filter which uses the values from the paramtable. Basically the filter condition should be something like
mytable.age >= 24 and maritalstatus = F
Any help on how this can be done within OWB?

Appreciate all the help i can getoption 1. take table 1 and tabl2 into a joiner and apply this filter on the joiner.
2. If table 1 has age and marital status then you can straightaway apply a filter with the condition without using table 2.
if you are always going to link tabl1 and tab2 then perhaps using a joiner is the best way.

Updating only when using Admin mode (since 3.6) and "ghosting" leaving images of others sites, apps, even pdfs I have opened in a browsing session that you can see when you shut FF down.

I can update FF while in admin mode but when I switch back to my user log-in it says I still need to update and has been this way since 3.6 at least.
FF is also leaving ghost images from other apps as it is shut down you can see, not sure if it is a memory leak or what but it is a little annoying.

Opening a PDF file in Admin mode from a windows forms application (C#)

Hi,
I need to open a pdf file using Windows Application. I have used the below code launch the pdf files.
Process prc = new Process();
            prc.StartInfo.FileName = "cmd.exe";
            Environment.CurrentDirectory = @"C:\SamplePDF\";
            prc.StartInfo.Arguments = " /C sample.pdf";
            prc.StartInfo.UseShellExecute = false;
            prc.StartInfo.CreateNoWindow = true;
            prc.Start();
This code is working fine without admin mode. But while running the output exe from bin folder with admin mode(right click the exe and choose "Run as Administrator"), pdf files are not launching . But its opened in the background application and I can see this from windows task manager.
Could anyone please help me on this issue ? Is there any other ways to launch a pdf file in admin mode ?

Well you are right by using a widget and etc.. but the problem is that I have been told that this application should open a PDF file that has bookmarks to each chapter of the text and one can make a search on this text by using pdf search.. So I do not have any other choice than opening a pdf :D and my time is unfortunately limit.
For solving the problem that the user may not have PDF reader.. well I have been told that user should install the pdf reader, so in my application package I am putting the installation file of PDF.
But going back to my problem.. I guess is someway I have to get the OS type of the user and I have to do a SWITCH or something on the OS type and then change the content of the Runtime.exec(). But the question is how can I get the OS type and what should I change in Runtime.exec().
So now any idea? any solution??

How to get installer created via LV project to install executables on a Vista machine which are in admin mode?

I have an installer for a program created via a LV project which installs two executables.
On Vista, only one of the executables is in admin mode. So, I always have to right click
on the other and select 'run as administrator'.
Any way of getting both of them set to run as administrator by default?

Do your executables include a manifest inside them or are you installing a manifest file next to your executables?
What happens if you just manually copy the executables to your system rather than installing them? Same thing, or different behavior?

How to apply Filter condition for a specific column but not to the report?

Hi,
I am having a issue in applying a filter condition to one of the column.
I have a schema with one fact table and around 10 dimension tables. My requirement is to bring a count on the fact table with related to some other columns from the dimension tables.
Lets consider a scenario with tables like Sales (Fact), Region (Dimension), Year(Dimension), Sale Type (Dimension).
Now my requirement is to bring out the fields
City(Region) --City
Year -- Year
Sales Count(Sales table) ---Count of all sales from the fact table
Sales Count(Sales table) -- Count of all sales from the fact table where sales type is 'CASH'
Here my issue is how do I apply the filter condition of Sales Type='CASH' only on one of the Sales Count column which is from the fact table. I want the filter condition to be imposed only for the fourth column.
Can anyone let me know how to achieve this?

This is quite simpe. Edit the column formula for the 4th column and put something like this. I am doing this from memory so the syntax might need checking:
Case When "Dimension Table"."Sales Type"='CASH' Then "Fact Table"."Measure" Else Null End
You could also consider making this a permanent addition to your RPD if this measure will be used again and again. You would add a new logical column and use the expression builder to arrive at the same result.
