Configuration XML Validation Strict in BPEL Process

Hi,
If we have 10 BPEL process and all using file adapter which reads or write XML file against schema.
We have a configuration in BPEL console that
validateXML - Validate the incoming and outgoing xml documents: "Stict or None" Stict means validate against Schema and none means no validation, but this configuration seams to be at level above Process, means if i set Strict it will apply for all 10 BPEL process, I cannot choose Processes which need validation and which doesn't need validation.
Any work around in SOA suite.
Regards,
Sreejit

Sreejit,
Every partner link contains validateXML property, you can use this property to control where you want to validate XML payload and where not.
To add this property, double click on partner link, go to property tab and click on property button. Select validateXML from the drop down list and provide its value(strict/none).

  • Configuring JMS adapter for a BPEL process which puts a msg in a Q of MQ

    Hi,
    I am trying to develop a BPEL process which picks up a message from a Q in Websphere MQ and puts that message in another Q of MQ after processing that.
    I have updated the oc4j-ra.xml with the following inputs:
    <connector-factory location="eis/MQSeries/Queue" connector-name="Jms Adapter">
              <config-property name="connectionFactoryLocation" value="com.ibm.mq.jms.MQQueueConnectionFactory"/>
              <config-property name="factoryProperties" value="QueueManager=TestManager;TransportType=1;Hostname=machine's ip address;Port=1414;Channel=channel name for connecting to client"/>
              <config-property name="acknowledgeMode" value="AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE"/>
              <config-property name="isTopic" value="false"/>
              <config-property name="isTransacted" value="true"/>
              <config-property name="username" value="admin"/>
              <config-property name="password" value="welcome"/>

    But while testing the BPEL process, I get the error:

    Can anyone tell me what has gone wrong in setting the connection factory for the Q or what else I have to configure to sort out this problem?

  • Query regarding validation in a BPEL process

    Hi,
    I need to validate an XML document( a BPEL variable) against a schema.I used the validate activity.But when the exception is thrown by the validate activity in case of an invalid document, it is only reporting the first error that it encounters.Also, it doesn't return the XPath of the element causing the problem.Is there any way in Oracle SOA Suite 11g in which I could validate an XML document (i.e. a BPEL variable) against a schema and extract the Xpath of all the erroneous elements?Or do I have to write a custom service for that.
    Thanks in advance

    in OSB the validate action does what you are looking for... not of much use if you have SOA Suite alone...

  • XML format for input to BPEL process from client stub

    Hi,
    I have deployed SyncHelloWorld BPEL process as given in the tutorial in the BPEL Server. It is working fine. Now I am trying to invoke the process by creating a Java client stub . I created a stub using the Web-services wizard by specifying the WSDL of the BPEL. Now I want to know how to pass some string through XML document to the BPEL process.
    I am using this code in the main method of the stub., but the value is not being passed to the BPEL nodes correctly. the output I am getting is "Hello "
    and not "Hello XYZString". I think I am not able to form the XML document to pass as input correctly. Can anyone help.
    Can anyone please help :
    public static void main(String[] args)
    try
    SyncHelloWorldStub stub = new SyncHelloWorldStub();
    // Add your own code here.
    // Create an empty XML document
    XMLDocument doc = new XMLDocument();

    Also, while running the BPEL process from console, we can give the input as html or string. Can anyone give the me xml format of the input.
    Any help would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Debojyoty

    Your last question shows that you might have solved this by now.
    The xml document you are composing in java might not exactly be the xml input bpel excepts. The way to compare is first initiate a process by posting an html message, using the initiate tab for your process in the BPEL console. Check the box "Save as default input" before you send the html request.
    Then again do an initiate from the BPEL console and select "XML Source" instead of "HTML Form". You will see the xml message you just have sent as html.
    You might also want to test your java program with one of the many free soap clients available on the internet.

  • Issue in invoking a BPEL process (having a DB Adapter) from ESB

    Dear All,
    I am having an issue while invoking a ESB process (Batch file mode) which inturn will call a second BPEL process which will invoke the Oracle APPS standard API ego_item_pub.process_items to create an item in Inventocry, through a DB adapter
    I am able to create the Item and API is working when I pass the input XML through the second BPEL process.
    But when invoking through the ESB process which will invoke the BPEL process, based on the polling to the batch file from the ESB. This is done through an FTP adapter in ESB.
    The Issue is that while invoking from ESB, through batch file. The PL/SQL API is throwing error from the standard API 'ego_item_pub.process_items'
    But it works fine if I invoke the BPEL process individually.
    What might be the problem for this and how can I fix this..
    Please update..
    Many thanks in advance ...

    Hi,
    We tried the same thing and it worked for us. In our scenario we had a BPEL process calling a ESB and then this ESB calling another BPEL process which inturn calls the API. I agree with James it seems more of a Data issue/or your XSD is not proper i.e the XSD that you ESB process is having. If you have created a ESB and then changed the BPEL process afterward the issue you mentioned will come. Please run the process in DEBIG mode and provide the domain.log file.

    While the Oracle SOA Suite is running; it runs as a specific user; mostly 'oracle' on unix systems. This means that under this user it access the FTP adapter. What is you oc4j-ra.xml look like? Are you able to connect from this user on the server to you ftp-account?

  • Using Email to initiate a BPEL Process

    Hi All,
    We have a request to process a .csv file which comes as an attachment thru Mail.
    we are able to do the setup to invoke the BPEL Process as the mail is received.
    We want to know how to get attached file in BPEL Process to process it further.
    We are using BPEL 10.1.3.
    Please help.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vikram Singh

    There is currently no inbound email adapter afaict. If you want a quick solution on a unix system, I would advise you to write a custom shell/python/perl script that can do convert the inbound mail to a xml format and post that xml to a webservice (BPEL process). You can use 'curl' or 'wget' to post it to the BPEL process. This method is discussed in more detail at this Zwiki mail setup page (replace Zope by Oracle BPEL :).
    See also this previous Oracle forum article Re: Using email to invoke a BPEL process, which discusses this same issue.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,

  • Clear wsdl cache every time a bpel process call is made.

    Hi All,
    I have a bpel process which gets input xml of the size of 6MB. This bpel process interacts with a java component using the WSIF approach to reorder the xml input recieved.
    The strange problem that i am currently encountering right now is for each time the bpel process execution time scales up. For example, the first time i fired the request, the bpel process took 29 seconds to completely execute. The second time it took 39 seconds and the third time it has taken around 56 seconds to execute.
    When i cleared the wsdl cache from within the bpel console, the execution again came down to around 21 seconds.
    Can i know which is the property which we can set in bpel.xml file of the bpel process to clear the wsdl cache each time a request is fired.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Vijay S

    Jay,
    You don't say how these links on the menu page are constructed. If you are using an apex list then for each list entry there would be a target page section in which you would put the target page ID in the Clear Cache field. For example, if the link goes to a page in the current application, say page 10, then you'd put 10 in the Clear Cache field.
    If you are building a link yourself, just put 10 (for page 10) in the clear-cache position of the f?p URL, e.g.,
    f?p=&APP_ID.:10:&APP_SESSION.::NO:10:P10_ITEM:&SOME_ITEM.

  • Running custom BI (XML) publisher report from BPEL

    We would like to run a custom BI publisher (XML publisher) report from BPEL process and the resultant PDF report output needs to be FTPed to specific location. BPEL can pass on the XML content required for the report.

  • How to make bpel process secure?

    Currently, I have a bpel process that can be accessed by anyone who knows its endpoint. I now need to add some basic authentication to ensure that only authenticated users access the BPEL process. I am thinking about using the http basic authentication but I don't know how to set it up in bpel. I don't know whether or not I can add the web.xml and sun-web.xml files to the bpel process to set up the security constraint like web applications. Does anyone know how to do it?

    String xml = "<name xmlns=\"http://xmlns.oracle.com\">"+name+"</name>";
    // Connect to the default BPEL domain using Locator

    //attach the payload to the NormalizedMessage
    nm.addPart("payload", xml);
    //Post the message to the HelloBPEL process
    deliveryService.post("HelloBPEL", "initiate", nm);
    out.println("The BPEL process HelloBPEL initiated!!!");

    Here I have some doubts:
    1) If xml payload that I am passing is correct?
    2) In Locator, do I need to pass 'domain' along with 'password' as my password or it will always be "bpel". i.e.,
    a) Locator locator = new Locator( "default", <password> );
    OR
    b) Locator locator = new Locator( "default", "bpel" );
    Please let me know how to solve this error. I doubt that my xml payload constructed is wrong. could you tell me what is the correct xml payload for below BPEL process WSDL file:

    Ummmm Vikas,
    Lemme bring out a better picture, so u get more clear on this one.
    The developer has upgraded an already deployed BPEL process.
    Since then, she has been facing problem. When she invoke those process they simply end up as faulted with a yellow color ! mark.
    Now i as an admin, i tried everything to help her cos she escalated the issue to me, thinking maybe there is sumthing i could do to assists her.
    Now i am not sure, how to help her, but yes i started with the logs. Both the oc4j container log for SOA and the domain log show the similar error.
    But till then, i didn't know black and white of it. so i tried doing all testing possible from my end.
    When i check on the faulted instances i see there is a Assign activity after Transform followed by Invoked being highlighted in red color. and when i clicked on it i get to see the error

    The main problem was we were observing many SOA inactive threads in one particular database, and they keep building up minutes by minutes.
    I suspect, that in the code connections were open but were not closed, there4 there were inactive threads in the database.
    I had to stop the SOA application, to stop threads from building up. I guess they got build up when they were invoked. There is definitely some fault with the code. or tell me am wrong. tell me its sumthing else.
    However other domains processes were working fine.
    and oh, yes the developer also made changes in the database. when i asked her to revert back and see if it works, she say thats a huge amount of work.
    Finally she end up saying that maybe it could be a problem with the new version.
    Now as a learner, I want to know what is going on, and how do we go about solving it.
    Am not much of a SOA techie. that u can make out. but yes ready to learn things. so there4 i beg you to explain to me like am a standard 3 or 4 kid. any more information needed plz feel free to write back.
    regards
    Lammeki.

  • PeopleSoft Invoking BPEL process gets HTML returned and not XML

    I am executing a SyncRequestXmlDoc in PeopleCode to call a BPEL process.
    In an earlier demo environment this works fine and when I interrogate the log I get a correct Request and Response message :
    I have now installed SOA Suite and I am deploying to that and I now have a problem with the Call.
    It works.... but does not execute the BPEL Process.
    Investigation has found that the PeopleTools Synchronous Message log shows the failing call as returning the HTML form of the BPEL process instead of the XML.
    Detailed below are the request and response logs for the working process and then the failing process.
    The question is :
    Is the BPEL process launched by SOA suite being returned in HTML form because of a setting or configuration issue or .... ?
    I can run the failing process from the BPEL Console without any problems ?

    Is this a setting or configuration problem in my SOA suite install ?
    Needless to say the BPEL process does not execute.
    Can anyone help ?

    Hi Lonneke
    Thanks for responding....
    You are correct in seeing that the two services are different in name.
    However they are identical in function.
    I created the service POSyncComp in my earlier version of JDev and deployed it to my local OC4J.
    Which is launched by a PeopleSoft call using PeopleCode.
    I have now rewritten this service in my new JDev and called it POSyncCompInt and deployed to home in an SOA suite implementation.
    So whilst I test and before I roll the original service call out, I have both.
    I have duplicated the PeopleCode and tweaked the message call, so that for testing purposes, and before I drop the current working version I have both calls in my PeopleCode event.
    The original POSyncComp call still works, but the call to the 'new replacement' does not.
    Hence the log shows both calls.... with slightly different names.
    The strange thing is that the PeopleSoft LOG shows very similar code in the Request Message, but the response from the new call shows the HTML Form that I get if I run the second BPEL process from the SOA BPEL console.
    So it looks like it is addressing the URL correctly.... but it suggests that stand alone OC4J returns a different response to the SOA suite which I am using for the new version of the BPEL process.... Is this configuration ?
    It hints at the xsd file and the complex message type at entry to the BPEL process.
    I can run the new process from the SOA suite BPEL Console with no problems.
    I hope that clarifies your question about two different service names

  • XSD validation for incoming data into BPEL process

    Please suggest how to validate XSD incoming data into BPEL process.
    I just wanted to verify the data before entering into BPEL

    Hi,
    I guess i am replying very late.
    In BPEL 2.0 we have an activity called "Validate" which can do the XSD validations.

  • "Default" attribute in XML not getting populated in BPEL process

    Hi.
    I have a SOA 11g composite that listens to an inbound MQ (using JMS Adapter), which handovers the request to a BPEL process.
    In the input xml, some of the elements have "default" attribute. So, if the user doesnot populate these values in the input, it should be populated with the default values.
    But in BPEL Process when I read these values, it comes as null instead of the default value.
    Could some one help me out if there is a way to handle this?
    K.P

    Hi,
    Please check if you have some values in ZMATRL2 while data laod to CUbe.
    If yes , then run and attribute change run for ZMATRL2.
    Also check if you have daat laoded for ZMATRL2 where we have its attribute ZCMARKET values corresponding to ZMATRL2T.
    These are are probable reasons why u cannot see navigations attribute data.
    Thanks
    Mukesh
