Configurator: Unexpected response

Hello there,
I am trying to roll out our first set of iPads using Apple Configurator but have run into a problem which searching has not been able to get me out of.
I have downloaded free apps (though will be using VPP later for paid ones) and Configurator prompts me for an Apple ID, which I then enter.
Upon trying to OK this prompt with my Apple ID details inside, red writing appears below the text boxes saying "Received an unexpected response from the iTunes store.".
So I look in the system log for a bit more detail and I come across the line
Apple Configurator: ERROR - 32040ms URL does not exist in the URL Bag for key (configurator-authenticate-account). (/SourceCache/AppleConfigurationUtility/AppleConfigurationUtility-169/Application/Controllers/CDAppStoreController.m:408)
Also:
Apple Configurator: ERROR - 32040ms Unable to construct a request for URL key: configurator-authenticate-account (/SourceCache/AppleConfigurationUtility/AppleConfigurationUtility-169/Application/Controllers/CDAppStoreController.m:201)
I have tried to find an answer on how to fix them or what they even mean, but was unable to do so.
If anyone could help, I would appreciate it.
Thanks.

Hi reynellaec,
I haven't seen these error messages specifically, but often times the errors that I see when trying to install apps are the result of Apple ID mismatches. Since you are just starting out, I would reset everything and start from the beginning to make sure that we are all on the same page.
Start with one iPad. Wipe the iPad clean (Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase All Conteent and Settings).
Then, go into iTunes and authorize with an Apple ID (iTunes -> Store -> Authroize this computer). It doesn't have to be a VPP Apple ID…just an ordinary Apple ID used to associate with the app. Then download the app(s) in iTunes. They will go to ~/Music/iTunes/Mobile Applications. These apps will be linked to the Apple ID you authorized in iTunes.
Next go into Apple Configurator and add the apps on the Prepare -> Apps screen. When you try to add the app in AC (clicking on the "+" at the bottom of the screen), you should be prompted to enter an Apple ID and password (see screenshot below).
It will say that "This Apple ID will be used to redeem VPP codes…" It is NOT the Apple ID used to purchase the VPP codes… The VPP codes can be redeemed by any Apple ID.
You must enter the same Apple ID and password that you used to download the app in iTunes, and you should be good to go.
Connect the iPad that you reset and try installing the app(s).
Hope this helps!!
~Joe

  • What is Unexpected Response Format?

I was deleting a few E-Mails from MacMail, and all of a sudden, the screen faded and a square box came across the screen that stated "Unexpected Response Format". I heard the hard drive making noise as well. This is a new machine! does anyone out there know what this means?
    Many thanks.

    Those are your options
    1. PCC or Bridge as suggested by @Phy
    or
    2. using MyXperia/Android device manager to delete everything on your phone.

    Hi,
I am using Javascript serializer to send server side code to javascript.
This works in IE 9, Mozilla, chrome. But fails with error in Safari as "request failed. unexpected response from server. the status code of response is '0' . status text of the response is ". null
    My code is as below:
    <asp:UpdatePanel ID="panLayout" runat="server">

    In Javascript:

    {"id":"3","Title":"Tiff","caption1":"Tiff","fileleafref":"test_tiff.tif","filedirref":"/s/Test/Library"}]</script>
The data is shown in all browsers except Safari. How to fix this?
Update: I have checked this link: http://sharepoint.sureshc.com/2013/07/unexpected-response-data-from-server-in.html
    but that did not help.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    From
this documentation, though SharePoint 2013 supports several commonly used web browsers including Apple Safari (latest released version), it is not guarantee
that SharePoint 2013 can run perfectly on all these browsers, “certain web browsers could cause some SharePoint 2013 functionality to be downgraded, limited, or available only through alternative steps”.
According to the code provided, it seems more relate to ASP.NET, therefore, a suggestion is that you can open a thread in ASP.NET forum, communities there will be more familiar
    with this issue:

    I solved the problem myself!
The reason was that the password of the CMS admin user was expired.
For all of you that will have the same issue in the future

  • Just upgrade to 33.1.1, terrible! new tab position not configurable, no response for clicking a link, how can I have the old version? Thanks!

Just upgrade to 33.1.1, terrible! new tab position not configurable, no response for clicking a link, not going to the website by click "enter", "space" keyboard can not be the page down anymore, always die....
how can I have the old version?
    Thanks!

Just to clarify, let's say you have tab 1 Google results and tab 2 something else. When you Ctrl+click a link in tab 1, it opens between tab 1 and tab 2 instead of at the end? Here's how you switch that:
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''tabs''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click the '''browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent''' preference to switch it from true to false.
You can switch back to an earlier tab and test. Success?

  • Can't access a mailbox - error message "unexpected response format"

I went to look at mail message in one mailbox. At first it said that it was having difficulty downloading from the server. I closed and opened the mail program and then I couldn't even get that message. I went over to ".mac" to see if I could view the message there, and I am now seeing an error message - "unexpected response format".
I have already tried to "rebuild" the mailbox. That didn't work. I've had some problems that were similar, and I've deleted a mail message that was causing the thing to be stuck. This time, I can't even get in. Need serious help, thanks.

The thing is, this appears to be a .Mac issue that none of us can do anything about, and for which one of the .Mac Forums may be more appropriate...

  • Unexpected Response Format

I too am having a problem with trying to send emails and getting a box that reads Unexpected Response Format. I am forced to click OK and the email is not sent. Can someone please help me figure out why my macmail is doing this? I would hate to have to go back to hotmail again. Thank you very much!
      Mac OS X (10.4.9)

Thank you for replying but the issue still isn't fixed as of 10:05CST this morning. I guess I will once again move everybody over to another email account and I agree with the other writer - we're paying to use this mail service which I don't have to do with hotmail and yahoo.

  • Asynchro receiver ABAP-Proxy with unexpected response

    Hi Guys,
I have an asynchro senario HTTP --> PI7.1 --> ABAP-Proxy (SAP backend ECC6.0) to update a SAP table. Once the senario runs the data in the backend table will be correcttly updated, however the SAP backend sends back a response to PI and causes a error there: NO_MAPPINGPROGRAM_FOUND. As the proxy should be asynchro the response is not expected.
Who has idea, how to prevent the response from SAP backend back to PI? Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Kuan

    Hi Guys,
the good news: my problem has been identified, the error reason is the QoS=BE, as you mentioned earlier. However I couldn't find where to setup the QoS in my scenario.
A new advice showed me the HTTP URL configuration which I forgot to check, as it was maintained in the extern application. This HTTP-Post sends the message to our PI in my HTTP-to-ABAP Proxy and specified the parameter &QoS=BE, which is the reason of synchronous communication.
I changed the configuration of my HTTP-Sender URL address with the new value &QoS=EO. The scenario runs now asynchronous without any error.

  • Service ECC_INVENTORY002QR - unexpected response content

    Hi,
I'm testing enterprise service ECC_INVENTORY002QR / InventoryByLocationAndMaterialQueryResponse_In from package SAP APPL with a nonSAP application..
    http://es-workplace.sap.com/socoview(bD1lbiZjPTAwMSZkPW1pbg==)/render.asp?id=C4BA00F8860E11DB2B24000F20DAC9EF&fragID=&packageid=DE0426DD9B0249F19515001A64D3F462&iv=
SAP APPL 6.05 SP8 is installed at the ECC-System.
For given Location, LogisticsArea, MaterialID and BatchID I want to get the amounts of own stock and supplier consignemnt stock with unrestricted use.
For the supplier consignment stock the SupplierID is needed too.
There are 38276 pieces of unrestricted use supplier consignment stock at the logistics area.
    The service seem's to work.
But I'm wondering about the extensive response.
There is always a section "ExpectedInventoryChange" with ChangeTypeCode=3 and ChangeReasonCode=15 in the response.
Blocked/Restricted stock is sent 3 times for own stock and 3 times for consignment stock.
Has anyone an idea why blocked/restricted stock is sent 3 times in the response or why the "ExpectedInventoryChange" is sent?
Is this the right place at SCN for this question?

    Hi adil,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you created an External Content Type.
For resolving your issue, please do the following trobuleshooting :
1.Whether you have used AAM for your site. If yes, please create Enternal Content Type using the orginal URL rather then the AAM URL.
2.Please verify the Bussiness Data Connectivity Service and Managed Metadata Web Service are started as CA->Application Management->Manage services on server under Service Applications
3.Open Application Management -> Manage services applications, find the Bussiness Data Connectivity Service Application, and in the Status column, verify that the service proxy status is Started.
4.Please check whether the authentication is using Windows Integrated Authentication (NTLM) in CA-> Application Management->Manage web applications-> your web application->Authentication Providers.
If this issue still exists, I suggest you delete Bussiness Data Connectivity Service Application, and create a new one.
    I hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Wendy

  • Timeout in Oracle Configurator Developer responsibility

The configurator html page timesout in 2 to 5 mins so in our production instance. The users had to logout and login.
Navigation: Oracle Configurator Developer-> Configurator developer. If we do not touch the screen for 5 minutes and then then click on something, we are getting time out due to idle session error and the user has to log back in again.
We are able to consistently see this behavior in production.
Any ideas how to solve this?

Please see if then following docs help.

  • WRT54GX2 - Backup Configuration - unexpected results

    Recently acquired WRT54GX2 w/firmare 1.01.14
Trying to backup my router settings/config and when I click on the backup button, the backup file is opened in Internet Explorer.
    File is not saved anywhere.
Linksys support indicates it's a firmware issue and has sent me 1.01.16 beta firmware upgrade.
I'm a little suspicious / reluctant to apply.
Really would like to backup config but with something a little more proven.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated

Did you apply a reset on the router after loading the beta? It should save a cfg file on your desktop... I'll check my mom's router for the version...I think her firmware works with that feature...

  • How to query Database with Parameters  and configure null value response?

    Hi,
1.When capture attributes from forms & after applying several logics, passing to a DB table using an API, how to get relevant values for a given parameter in another DB table ?
2.When a DB table is queried, if the value does not exist, how to configure the response message ?
    Thanks.

Okay, you've provided exactly what John S. asked for - and no more. This is helpful, but not enough. I think we're going to need a use case to understand exactly what you are asking. What should the user see? What does the user do next? What should happen in the database and in the application when the user does this?
However, I'll try to read between the lines a bit, and get you part of the way there. To query the database with parameters in ADF BC, you need a View Object (VO). The simplest thing to do is create the SELECT command behind the VO with some bind variables and add the bind variables to your VO. At that point, you will get an ExecuteWithParameters operation in the Data Control. You can drag that operation onto a JSF page and it will give you an option to create a parameter form to let the user fill in the parameters to set the bind variables, and a button to execute the query with these values. Any table or form based on that same VO will show the selected data.
A Trinidad or ADF Rich Faces table will have an attribute to let you define some text to show the user if no data was retrieved by the query. But there are other ways to determine if data was retrieved which you can use to control other ways to display this information. For instance, I have a page that has an outputText component that has a "rendered" attribute to show the text only when there was no data retrieved by a query.
