.configure gives an error
Hi all, I'm trying to compile BerkeleyDB-C 4.7.25 on Linux but .configure gives me an error I don't know how to fix.

gcc and g++ were installed using yum.
There is no problem if I remove "--enable-java"

If you have GCC installed, can you please try "env CC=gcc ../dist/configure ..." and let us know how it works?
* You can specify compiler and/or compile and load time flags by using environment variables during Berkeley DB configuration. For example, if you want to use a specific compiler, specify the CC environment variable before running configure:

Getting cryptic error while trying to post to a custom RFC from PI 7.31 single stack.
com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (104) RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE: String index out of range: 0 (raised by system <extern>|pidevhost)
Does anyone recognize this error and/or know of detailed instructions for registering custom RFCs in PI 7.31. I could possibly have configured the target wrong but no error says so.
This is a File-->PI-->RFC scenario. The file processing is super simple and a configuration I have used successfully before. I would assume I'd get a different error if it couldn't parse the file.
JodyNot shure if you already did but try getting some details with XPI Inspector. Also increasing log level for this category might help. You also may wanna check authorization (even if this should show with a different error text) in ECC using ST01.
My guts feeling is that there is something wrong with payload / signature of RFC.

Mail 2.1.1 recieves but doesn't send mail and gives no error message?
I've an issue with mail on an I-Mac with 2 gig intel core duo running O/S 10.4.9 and mail app version 2.1.1. I was using the machine at my studio for a studio manager. I downsized the studio and gave that machine to my parents who have been using an old G4 I gave them running o/s X and using the mail app for all their e-mailing. I migrated their old system from the G4 to the I-mac via target mode and everything seemed to be working until they tried to type more than one word in the body of the e-mail. once you hit the space bar and try to type another word it just gives an error tone. Also they are not able to send mail but are able to recieve. There is absolutely no error message or tone when you hit send or hit the return key. It just does nothing and gives me no feedback. I have gone through all the settings from the old machine which is sending and recieving mail as it has for the last 3 years with out incidence. I've updated the software, verified and repaired the disk and permissions. They are using RCN as their ISP with a cable modem. Again the G4 is working as it should with the exact same settings that the I-mac is configured with. Is there some issue with the older intel machines? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks,

Cannot Install Sql Server 2008, Gives The Error "Database Engine Services Failed"
I cannot install Sql Server 2008 R2 on Windows 8. Tried many times but failed because it gives the error "Database
Engine Services Failed". Sql files cannot be corrupted because i can install the same setup on Windows 7 and i can connect to databases.
I tried all the things below;
* I'm uninstalling everything related with Sql Server from Control Panel/Programs And Features.
* I'm deleting all the keys related with Sql Server from Regedit.
* Later i'm restarting windows, and trying to install again. But during the install it gives the error "Database
Engine Services Failed", install is finishing but when i opened the Management Studio i cannot connect to Database Engine with Sa naturally.
* My firewall is already closed. And i have not any antivirus software.
* I gave the permission for port 1433 on firewall.
Please help me. Why i always take "Database Engine Services Failed" error? I will get crazy cause of that for many days.Here's the ERRORLOG file which i found under the folder;

2. Select Local Net Service Name Configuration the click the Next button
3. Check Add then click the Next button
4. Type the Service Name of the database you want to connect to, then click the Next button
5. On the next screen, select TCP and click the Next button
6. On the next screen, enter the full name for the Host name using a fully qualified domain name and then tell the system which Port the database is using. Click the Next button
7. If you know a username and password on the database select Yes, perform a test and then click the Next button. While this is not a mandatory step it is well worth doing as it will show whether you can connect to the database.
8. On the next screen, the test will either succeed or fail. If it says Invalid username / password click the Change Login button and enter a known username / password combination
9. When informed Connecting... Test successful click the Next button

FM GUI_UPLOAD gives PC036 "Error when opening the download file".
Dear all
I'm having a problem with a particular PC.
A program which calls FM GUI_UPLOAD gives the error PC036 "Error when opening the download file".
The file we are trying to upload is a text file, with tab delimiter.
If the same user executes the same program from another PCs, it works fine.
If another user executes the program in the "problematic" PC, it gives the error.
So, the problem is PC-related.
I checked SAP GUI Codepage, and was the same as other PCs.
I cheched regional configuration, and was also the same as other PCs.
The operating system is Windows XP, and the SAP GUI version is 7.10, File version 7100.2.7.3077, Build 967944 , Patch level 7.
SAP version is ECC6.
I searched across forums, SAP note, and the web, but I couldn't find anything.
I would be grateful if someone could give me ideas.

JordiHello. The user accounts are have same privilegies (like both are "Power users")? Also the file system are the same in both PC NTFS or FAT32 (today i'm find FAT32 in enterprise ) If NTFS may be some Domain politics are not allow to save file correctly, or space are not enough....Try check this first...Regards.

SPS7 .hdbprocedure with INSERT gives privilege error during activation
Hello All,
We have upgraded to SPS7. We are trying to use an INSERT statement on a database table in a .hdbprocedure. For this we removed the READ SQL
addition on the SQL header, made SQLSCRIPTMODE parameter as UNSECURE in Configuration.
But the problem with privilege seems to be at the table level. I try to create a Custom role(.hdbrole). This gets activated fine when I just give the SELECT on the SCHEMA.
But when I add INSERT in addition to SELECT privilege on schema holding the table it gives an error Cannot Activate/No Privilege to activate Catalog Object
The INSERT on the table is not letting me activate the .hdbprocedure or a custom role. Can you please advice what could be the problem.
Also, an SLT has been configured to get data into these set of tables, could this be the problem.

The user should grant the respective read/update/delete privilege on the schema used in the Procedure to _SYS_REPO user.
If this is a SLT generated schema then there are roles generated which provide such privilges o the users you can use them to grant privilege to _SYS_REPO user.

When portal server's mobile access pack is accessed through nokia7110 handset simulator then while checking mails I am able to send mails through reply link in inbox but I am not able to compose mails. It gives 'server error'.Please help me out.

A couple of questions :-
a. Is this unique for your Nokia browser ? i.e.
are you able to select "compose" using other
simulators?
b. Does your installation also have iPlanet
Messaging server/iPlanet Calendar Server?
c. Have you configured address book correctly ?
You might be seeing this problem if you have not
configured the address book correctly. -

I have been trying to install the EBS 11i in configured system core 2 duo with 1 gb ram and 250 gb HDD,
have been following the below steps to install the EBS 11i,
1.installed Win20003 server edition
2.VC++ and copyind the link file into windows\system32,
3.GNU make done the path set everything,
4.MKS tool kit,
5IP config and installing MS loopback,
started the installtion direct from the DVDs,
Pre-Installtion everything was OK,
but after done everything I got struck last min, where the popup window appeared as login page responding but i did wait for 30 min and nothing has happened.
So closed and I restarted the System and I have restarted process putting 1st DVD and given the command rapidwiz -restart.from command prompt.
and Again its started as a new installtion, and preinstatltion wizard has came.
where I haeve commited the mistake i did not understand...?
Please guide me
