Configure HTTP POST on arrowpoint with version 5.00

I configured the headers rule for http post but it´s doesn´t work.
Someone have any idea..??
This is the config.....thanks

vip address 200.41.112.38
protocol tcp
port 80
url "/*"

add service wqa02-27

header-field-group POST-METHOD
header-field POST request-line contain "POST"

Javier,
I would suggest you to start with something basic and than add complexity.
Create a very simple content rule with just an ip address. no port. no protocol.
Then add one or more servers.
Activate.
Give it a try like this.
Does it work ?
If yes, define 'protocol tcp' and 'port 80'.
Does it work ?
If yes, configure 'url "/*"'
does it work ?
If yes, configure 'advanced-balance arrowpointcookie'
This config is explained at
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/contnetw/ps789/products_tech_note09186a0080094398.shtml
It it does not work, tell us what is not working.
Is it the stickyness that does not work or you can't even connect to the vip address ?
Also collect a sniffer trace on client and server.
Thanks,
Gilles.

  • Help!!!.....HTTP Post to JSP with parameters in URL also....

    I am trying to emulate a webpage that is POSTing info to a URL which is a JSP that also has parameters in the URL. I am having problems getting my java code to emulate doing this task manually through a web browser.
    The webpage has the following HTML code:
    <form method=post action=hello.jsp?y=60245&x=698>
    <input type="text" name="name" value="jim">
    <input type=submit name=submit value="Now">
    </form>
    ...notice that the jsp referenced above has some parameters appended to the url, but the method is post.
    Here's my code to try to do the same thing as if I manually pressed the submit button in a browser:
    URL url = new URL("hello.jsp?y=60245&x=698");
    httpConnection = (HttpURLConnection)url.openConnection();
    httpConnection.setRequestMethod("POST");
    httpConnection.setDoOutput(true);
    httpConnection.setDoInput(true);
    httpConnection.setUseCaches(false);
    httpConnection.setRequestProperty("Content-Type", "application/x-www-form-urlencoded");
    DataOutputStream output = new DataOutputStream(httpConnection.getOutputStream());
    output.writeBytes("name=jim&submit=Now");
    output.flush();
    BufferedReader is = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(httpConnection.getInputStream()));
    Writer w = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter("CapturedHTML.html"));
    int data=0,count=0;
    while(data!=-1){
          data = is.read();
          w.write(data);
          count++;
    System.out.println(count + " bytes read");
    w.flush();
    w.close();
    is.close();
    output.close();I write out the result to a file so that I can see the HTML returned by the JSP. It's a completely different webpage than if I were to have manually clicked the submit button on a browser.
    WHY???????? How is a browser actually sending the info to the jsp when it has info both in its URL and in the post data?

    I might be wrong, but the browser could have some sort of mechanism built into it which makes sure that the parameters appended to the url are actually passed as a part of a POST requst, while a Java program might not pass them at all.
    Have you tried passing these params: y=60245&x=698 as a part of a POST request, rather than adding them to the URL.
    Also, how do u know which response from JSP is correct? They might be different but do u know which one is the correct one? Do you know what the response should look like? that would make things a lot easier as u could figure out what parameters are causing the differences in the responses u r getting.

  • Listen for HTTP Post in Flex

    Hello,
    I just have a simple question.  In my Flex program, I am trying to find a way to listen for an incoming HTTP POST message - something with functionality similar to that of the HttpListener class in C#.  I have not been able to find anything at all to help with this though, would anyone know of something like this?
    Thanks.

    My Flex program subscribes to changes that occur in a program on remote server.  The change notifications are sent back to my client in the form of an HTTP Post message.  The Flex program needs to be able to detect when these Posts are received.

  • Starting workflow with HTTP-Post

    Hello,
    like I wrote in Starting workflow with HTTP-Post I have a problem with starting a workflow with a http-post:
    I have an installation of SAP ERP 2005 SR2 IDES on Win2003 SR2 SP2 and want to start a simple workflow with an external application. Therefor I created an elementary test-workflow and set the general task flag so everybody is allowed to start it. So far everything work fine as I start it manually.
    Now I want to start the workflow by an external application over a HTTP-Post as described in
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/EN/54/de9e3887d6174fe10000009b38f842/content.htm

    Service: WebFlow (Intranet)
    Address: http://192.168.0.216:8000/

    and sent a post via perl to http://192.168.0.216:8000/SAP/BC/WORKFLOW_XML/?protocol=01&localkey=WS99900004

    I also tried to post the XML via html-form-field with the same result.
    Did I forgot something essential?

    Hello Daniel
    It's 6 years after you posted your question, but I found your post very useful and thought it would be worth updating for future reference.
    I've just managed to trigger a workflow via http.
    URL :
    http://server.domain:8000/sap/bc/workflow_xml?sap-client=110
    Java :
    URL obj = new URL(url);
    URLConnection con = (URLConnection) obj.openConnection();
    String userpass = "username:password";
    String basicAuth = "Basic " + javax.xml.bind.DatatypeConverter.printBase64Binary(userpass.getBytes());
    con.setRequestProperty ("Authorization", basicAuth);
    con.setRequestProperty("Content-type", "text/xml");
    con.setDoOutput(true);
    DataOutputStream wr = new DataOutputStream(con.getOutputStream());
    wr.write( xml.getBytes("UTF-8") );
    wr.flush();
    wr.close();
    You can then read the response.
    I found that until I added the sap_client parameter I couldn't debug in CL_HTTP_WORKFLOW_XML->IF_HTTP_EXTENSION~HANDLE_REQUEST. Then I found that the content type has to be "text/xml".
    I set the xml variable (the data sent to ECC) to :
    <?xml version="1.0" ?>
    <WfMessage Version="SAP.1.0" xmlns="http://www.wfmc.org/standards/doc/WF-XML">
    <WfMessageHeader>
    <Request>
    <ResponseRequired>Yes</ResponseRequired>

    I am working on an integration where cXML from the Partner will be posted to SOA and from SOA another HTTP post to end partner. its basically
    HTTP Post(partner 1)----------------->SOA--------------->HTTP Post(Partner 2).
    I have cXML its in dtd format which i have converted to Native format using file-adapter and added namespace schema. so My question is while cXML is post to SOA i have added namespace schema and consumed it to my BPEL, while it leaves out Partner2 through HTTP post again the namespace should be removed and sent to partner 2. I am stuck at this Point. need Urgent help. please. how to remove name space.

    Hi,
    Create xsl style sheet file (xml) from you jdeveloper. Path to go File->New. go to all technogloy tab and select All Items catagory and select XSL style sheet.
    Remove content in the generated xml file and copy and paste the below code
    <?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
    <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" exclude-result-prefixes="xsl ns1">

    String variable contains your xml message with out namespaces in string format.
    You can pass this string content to your partnerlink 2.

  • HTTP POST Request with XML file in

    Hi @ all,
    I would like to send an HTTP Request with an XML File in the body to an SAP System
    I have the target URL and the a XML File.
    Now the question is. Is it possible to use something like the HTTP_POST FuBa to send an url post request with an xml file?
    If yes can anybody give me a hint?
    I have a php script which exactly do this coding. But to integrate it all in one system it is necessary to transform it into ABAP and call it there.
    // compose url and request and call send function
    function test($productID, $categoryID) {
         // create url
         $PIhost = "XXX.wdf.sap.corp";
         $PIport = "50080";
         $PIurl = "/sap/xi/adapter_plain";
         $PIurl .= "?sap-client=800";
         $PIurl .= "&service=XXX";
         $PIurl .= "&namespace=XXX";
         $PIurl .= "&interface=Frontend_Interface";
         $PIurl .= "&qos=EO";
         $PIurl .= "&sap-user=XXX";
         $PIurl .= "&sap-password=XXX";
         // create xml
         $request = "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>\n";
         $request .="<n1:FrontendInbound_MessageType xmlns:n1=\"http://crmpiebay.com\">\n";
         $request .= "\t<FrontendInbound>\n";
         $request .= "\t\t<ProductName/>\n";
         $request .= "\t\t<ProductCategory>".$categoryID."</ProductCategory>\n";
         $request .= "\t\t<ProductID>".$productID."</ProductID>\n";
         $request .= "\t\t<MessageID/>\n";
         $request .= "\t</FrontendInbound>\n";
         $request .= "</n1:FrontendInbound_MessageType>";
         // send http request
         postToHost($PIhost, $PIport, $PIurl, $_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"].":".$_SERVER["SERVER_PORT"]."/".$_SERVER["PHP_SELF"], $request);
    // send post request to PI server
    function postToHost($host, $port, $path, $referer, $data_to_send) {
      $fp = fsockopen($host, $port);
      if($fp) {
           $res="";
           fputs($fp, "POST $path HTTP/1.1\r\n");
           fputs($fp, "Host: $host\r\n");
           fputs($fp, "Referer: $referer\r\n");
           fputs($fp, "Content-type: text/plain\r\n");
           fputs($fp, "Content-length: ". strlen($data_to_send) ."\r\n");
           fputs($fp, "Connection: close\r\n\r\n");
           fputs($fp, $data_to_send);
           while(!feof($fp)) {
               $res .= fgets($fp, 128);
           fclose($fp);
           return $res;
    Would be great if anybody could give me a hint how to solve such a HTTP Post request with XML body data.
    Thanks in advance.

    hi friend could you please share your solution regarding this query if u got it already?

  • Kerberos Ticket via Java to BW to access BW Querys with HTTP POST

    Hi and thanks for reading,
    im Working with 2004 and the NWDS SP10. We have a project which must show some reports from the HR system via backend and some BW Reports done with Web Application Designer 3.5.
    The user of the project application is able to select personnel numbers or org units in a tree UI element. At design time we do not know hwo many of each he might select (could be a couple of hundreds or even more).
    A URL isn't long enough to support our needs (255 characters border)
    A consultant said that we should use HTTP Post with a Form. He gave me an example like this
    <HTML>
    <BODY>
    <form name="querySelektion" action="<system name>" method="POST">
              <input type="submit" value="Formular senden" />
              <!-- Template Parameter -->
              <input name="SAP-LANGUAGE" type="hidden" value="D" />
              <input name="PAGENO" type="hidden" value="1" />
              <input name="CMD" type="hidden" value="LDOC" />
              <input name="TEMPLATE_ID" type="hidden" value="Z_TEST_AX" />
              <!-- Selektionsparameter -->
              <input name="var_name_1" type="hidden" value="H1_ORGST" /></td>
              <input name="VAR_NODE_IOBJNM_1" type="hidden" value="0ORGUNIT" />
              <input name="var_value_ext_1" type="hidden" value="50058503" />
         </form>
    </BODY>
    </HTML
    This is working beside the fact that i have to fill in my BW username and password. I translated this to Java with  the Jakarta HTTP Librarys into the following code.
    try
                HttpClient httpClient = new HttpClient();
                PostMethod post = new PostMethod("http://<system name>");
                NameValuePair[] data =
                        new NameValuePair("SAP-LANGUAGE", "D"),
                        new NameValuePair("PAGENO", "1"),
                        new NameValuePair("CMD", "LDOC"),
                        new NameValuePair("TEMPLATE_ID", "Z_TEST_AX"),
                        new NameValuePair("var_name_1", "H1_ORGST"),
                        new NameValuePair("VAR_NODE_IOBJNM_1", "0ORGUNIT"),
                        new NameValuePair("var_value_ext_1", "50058503")};
                post.setRequestBody(data);
                int iReturnCode = httpClient.executeMethod(post);
                wdContext.currentContextElement().setTextView(Integer.toString(iReturnCode ));
                post.releaseConnection();
            } catch (IOException ioe)
                wdContext.currentContextElement().setTextView(ioe.getMessage());
    All i get is an Error 401 which means "Not Authorized". The Portal (where the application is running) and the BW do both support Single Sign On and the BW System is configured in the Portal.
    I think the HTTP Post is to generic. I also think that i need to make a authorization before and post the Kereberos Ticket to the BW before.
    But how can i accomplish that? Is there a SAP HelperClass to configure or establish system connections of SSO enabled systems?
    Or is the approach with the HTTP Post in java wrong, maybe there is an easier way to do transfer a lot of personnel or orgunit numbers to the BW Query?
    Thanks in advance,
    Kai Mattern

    Since you mentioned, I now tried to modify the writeToFile method in a few ways (closing the streams, directly setting them to null...), but the "java.lang.IllegalStateException: Already connected" exception remains there
    Actually I suppose this has no effect on the originally reported cookie problem, because if I just completely remove this logwriting (+ the following URL disconnect-reconnect) from the code, the situation is the very same
    I paste my modified writeToFile method anyway, maybe you can tell what I do wrong here, and I can learn from that
        public void writeToFile ( HttpURLConnection urlConnection, String filename ) {
          try {
            BufferedReader bufferedReader = null;
            InputStreamReader inputStreamReader = null;
            // Prepare a reader to read the response from the URLConnection
            inputStreamReader = new InputStreamReader(urlConnection.getInputStream());
            bufferedReader = new BufferedReader(inputStreamReader);
            String responseLine;
            PrintStream printStream = new PrintStream(new FileOutputStream (filename));
            // Read until there is nothing left in the stream
            while ((responseLine = bufferedReader.readLine()) != null)
                printStream.println(responseLine);
            inputStreamReader.close();
            bufferedReader.close();
            inputStreamReader = null;
            bufferedReader = null;
            printStream.close();
          catch (IOException ioException) { /* Exception handling */ }
        } //writeToFile()

    I basically have an Ada executable and Labview executable that currently run on a Sun Machine with Solaris as the operating system.  I'm re-architecting the system hardware and will be getting rid of the Sun Machine and Solaris.  I'm don't have any issues with the Ada executable, but I'm not sure what configurations Labview supports.

  • Defining a RESTful svc with delimited params using the "Configure HTTP Svc" wizard in FB 4 beta 2

    I am using Flash Builder 4 beta 2. I would like to create and configure a RESTful HTTP service that uses delimited parameters. The instructions here,
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Flex/4.0/AccessingData/WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-668f02f4120d422cf08-7ffe.html#WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-757e06e1253c6333fe-8000 <http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Flex/4.0/AccessingData/WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-668f02f4120d422cf08- 7ffe.html#WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-757e06e1253c6333fe-8000> , explain how to do this under the "RESTful services" bullet in the "Configuring HTTP Services" section. However, when I follow these instructions by  specifying a URL to an operation, including the delimited query parameters for the service operation inside '{}" braces, the Configure HTTP Service wizard does *not* populate the Parameter table with the parameters enclosed in "{}" braces. Further, even if I add the parameters manually to the Parameter table, the requests go out using the URL encoded string literals (e.g. "http://restfulService/%7Bitems%7D/%7BitemID%7D") rather than with the parameter values passed to the service request method.
    As I'm new to Flex, I assume I am doing something wrong. I have searched the forums and the bug database for some insight into what might be my problem, and I have not come across anything. Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards,
    K. Hal Purdy

    Sunil,
    Thanks for the info. From a comment I posted in the corresponding documentation (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/Flex/4.0/AccessingData/WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-668f02f4120d422cf08- 7ffe.html#WSbde04e3d3e6474c4-757e06e1253c6333fe-8000), Randy Nielsen of Adobe contacted me and has requested that I (AT&T) be able to participate in the private beta program. It's my understanding that I would need to be in this program in order to run the latest build. I will have to work with AT&T Legal on the NDA so that may take a little while.
    To help me refine my Flex/FB 4 issue investigation technique, I'm curious : Is there a trouble report that references this problem? The closest one I could find was this one which seemed to suggest that no parameters would work and was entered against Gumbo, Beta 1: http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FB-21146.
    Thanks again for the response.

  • Http post with bpel

    I am not sure if this forum is the right forum for my question but I post anyway to see if anyone can help
    me. I have created a very simple bpel using http post; all it does is to copy the input to the output.
    The output from my bpel looks like this:
    <myContact xmlns="http://xml.netbeans.org/schema/XmlPost">
    <ns0:LastName xmlns:ns0="http://xml.netbeans.org/schema/XmlPost" />
    <ns0:FirstName xmlns:ns0="http://xml.netbeans.org/schema/XmlPost" />
    <ns0:EmailAddress xmlns:ns0="http://xml.netbeans.org/schema/XmlPost">
    LastName=aa&FirstName=bb&EmailAddress=cc&OfficeAddress=dd</ns0:EmailAddress>
    <ns0:OfficeAddress xmlns:ns0="http://xml.netbeans.org/schema/XmlPost" />
    </myContact>
    My question is why the EmailAddress element contains all my input data. I should expect the lastname element
    has 'aa', the firstname element has 'bb', the emailAddress has 'cc' and the officeAddress has 'dd'.
    Can someone please tell me what I do wrong in here.
    Thanks,

  • Http post from an application with file attachment

    Hi ! I didn't know where else to post this message...
    I'm trying to make a HTTP POST from an application and upload a file with it. I have no problems with the posting, just that I haven't got any ideas how to get the file uploaded as well. I've been reading loads of examples regarding the topic, and searching older posts the forum here, without any help.
    Here's the method i'm using:
                   // open connections
                  URL url = new URL ("TheURL");
                   URLConnection urlConn = url.openConnection();
                              // We do input & output, without caching
                   urlConn.setDoInput (true);
                   urlConn.setDoOutput (true);
                   urlConn.setUseCaches (false);
                              // multipart/form-data because we want to upload a file
                     urlConn.setRequestProperty ("Content-Type", "multipart/form-data");
                  // Open output stream
                     DataOutputStream printout = new DataOutputStream (urlConn.getOutputStream ());
                  // Set the actual content
                     String content = "upfile=" + System.getProperty("user.dir") + "\\file.ext&";
                       content += "other_key-value_pairs";
                  // write the data to stream, and flush it.
                     printout.writeBytes (URLEncoder.encode(content));
                   printout.flush ();
                   printout.close ();
                   // Get the response.
                     DataInputStream input = new DataInputStream (urlConn.getInputStream());
                   FileOutputStream fos=new FileOutputStream("postto.txt");
                   String str;
                     BufferedReader bufr = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(input));
                  // Write response to outputfile
                     while (null != ((str = bufr.readLine()))) {
                         if (str.length() >0) {
                         fos.write(str.getBytes());
                         fos.write(new String("\n").getBytes());
                   input.close ();Now, the response here I get from the url i'm posting to is "Failure, no data-file". I've tried many diff methods of writing the file to the stream, but always get the same result.
    I need to file attached like it would be when using a HTML form's <input type="file">.
    Please help ! This is getting really urgent !

    String content = "upfile=" + System.getProperty("user.dir") + "\\file.ext&";
    content += "other_key-value_pairs";
    printout.writeBytes (URLEncoder.encode(content));
    printout.flush ();
    printout.close ();Actually, what this does is create a request like:
    GET /path/to/file/script.language?upfile=/home/user/file.ext&other=params HTTP/1.1
    Content-Type: multipart/form-data
    -- And other HTTP params --
    The file is not actually appended to the request.
    I really don't know how Java handles the file upload, but you could do it by hand, like so:
    public static void doFileUpload(String url, String filename, Hashtable params) throws IOException {
        // Construct the request
        String boundary = "----------------------mUlTiPaRtBoUnDaRy";
        String request_head = "POST " + url + " HTTP/1.0\r\n" +
                                         "Content-type: multipart/form-data; boundary=" + boundary + "\r\n";
        String request_body = boundary + "\r\n\r\nContent-disposition: form-data; name=\"upload\"" +
                                         "\r\n\r\n";
        BufferedReader in = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(new FileInputStream(filename)));
        int b = -1;
        while((b = in.read()) != -1) {
             request_body += (char)b;
        in.close();
        Enumeration keys = params.keys();
        while(keys.hasMoreElements()) {
            String key = keys.nextElement();
            requst_body += "\r\n" + boundary + "\r\n\r\nContent-type: form-data; name=\"key\"\r\n" +
                                    (String)params.get(key);
        request_body += "\r\n" + boundary + "--\r\n";
        int length = request_head.length() + request_body.length() + "Content-length: \r\n";
        String req_length = "Content-length: " + (length + new String("" + length).length()) + "\r\n";
        Socket socket = new Socket(url,80);
        PrintStream stream = socket.getOutputStream();
        stream.print(request_head + req_length + req_body);
        // And now an option to read the response, I will omit that...
    }Note: I have not tested this code, just wrote it up out of memory. If it does not work, it will propably need some small fixes.

  • Working with HTTP-POST Submit Button

    I've created a form that uses a submit button with HTTP-POST.   I've tested this against a script that displays the fields, however, I'd like to table the posted data to SQL.   Can someone show me some code to parse this data with CGI, or PHP?

    Yes. At some point you will need to prarse the requests and treat them differently - because a POST is NOT the same as a GET.
    Anyway, just place the variables or script-links to the variables in an HTML Form.
    Very easy stuff.

  • HTTP POST with XML with HTTPService

    Hi,
    I need to be able to send an HTTP POST request to a server I
    have on Tomcat. In the body of the POST Request I need to have the
    following:
    <setView domain="someDomain" view="macro" />
    We have tried the following using the HTTPService, but with
    no such luck
    <mx:HTTPService id="setViewHTTPService" url="{serverURL}"
    resultFormat="object" contentType="application/xml"
    method="POST">
    <mx:request>
    <setView domain="abc" view="xyz" />
    </mx:request>
    </mx:HTTPService>
    Is there a way for us to specify the body of the HTTP Post
    using HTTPService, or a different class for that matter.

    var variables:URLVariables = new
    URLVariables("name=Franklin");
    //or variables.name = "Franklin";
    var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest();
    request.url = "
    http://www.[yourdomain
    request.method = URLRequestMethod.POST;
    request.data = variables;
    var loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader();
    loader.dataFormat = URLLoaderDataFormat.VARIABLES;
    loader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, completeHandler);
    try
    loader.load(request);
    catch (error:Error)
    trace("Unable to load URL");
    function completeHandler(event:Event):void
    trace(event.target.data.welcomeMessage);
    This is in the help documentation and what I generally use.
