Configure myfaces 1.2.7 problem on JDeveloper 11 and Weblogic 10.3 server

Hi all,
1st I'm not sure if that the right place or not to send this post(if not please accept my apologize)
I'd like to use myfaces 1.2.7 implementation instead of the JSF Library provided by Jdeveloper 11
That's the Jar files I used :-
myfaces-api-1.2.7 ,
myfaces-impl-1.2.7,
commons-beanutils-1.7.0,
commons-codec-1.3 ,
commons-collections-3.2,
commons-digester-1.8,
commons-discovery-0.4,
commons-el-1.0,
commons-fileupload-1.0,
commons-lang-2.1,
commons-logging-1.1.1,
commons-validator-1.3.1
glassfish.jstl_1.2.0.1(JSTL 1.2 library of Jdeveloper)
javax.servlet_1.0.0_2-5 ,javax.jsp_1.1.0.0_2-1,glassfish.el_2.1.0 (JSP runtime library of Jdevloper)
weblogic-injection-provider
and that's the web.xml file
<?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'windows-1252'?>
<web-app xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/javaee/web-app_2_5.xsd"

and ofcourse I registered the taglib of myfaces implementation on Jdeveloper

what I have missed?where is the problem ? some jar files need to be added for the project or modified ,or there's some problem for the integration between Myfaces 1.2.7 and Jdeveloper 11???

Looks like WLS can't find the FacesServlet java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javax.faces.webapp.FacesServlethave you checked if the jar containing the FacesServlet is deployed to the WLS?

I managed to fix my issue by coping the Client, ClientUpgrade, and Scripts from the files from SCCM install discs folder SMSSETUP to c:\program files\Microsoft Configuration Manager folder.  I noticed that some of the files in the scripts
folder was missing and I copied the other folders over because I felt that maybe my local copy of the Client installer where missing some key files as well.  Once I did that and disabled software update push, restarted the wsus computer, and re-enabled
the software update push it was able to publish the client and start installing it that way.
I thing the initial log messages where pointing me in the wrong direction for a few hours because I was thinking it was permissions as well and kept trying to figure that out but in the end I do not believe any of that was the reason I was receiving the
    same error as you where.

  • Install correct versions of Forms (etc), Jdeveloper and Weblogic

    Hello,
We are upgrading from forms 10g. We want to be able to upgrade to the most recent (or almost most recent) versions of Forms, but we also want Jdeveloper.
I know from experience that you need the proper version of jdeveloper to go with the proper version of Weblogic, so knowing which version of all three is necessary.
It looks like we can download newer versions of Forms, Jdeveloper and Weblogic separately, or we could install the Oracle Fusion Middleware suite 11.1.1.7.0 which contains SOA (I would love to move to that), but that contains older versions of Forms and Jdeveloper.
I have trudged through Oracle documentation and the like, but found no real satisfactory information about downloading each separately. Could anyone help me with suggestions about which versions go with which?
    Thank you,
    Stuart

As far as I know, JDeveloper is provided as a stand-alone download and has an embedded WLS used for testing. The JDeveloper installation must go into its own Middleware Home and not into, for example the one where Forms/Reports (or any other) lives.
As for deploying your completed applications, you can either do this into another WLS installation or the one used by Forms/Reports. However, creating a new WLS domain is recommended and may be required (check the product documentation or contact Support for more information).
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/documentation/index.html
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E38115_01/index.htm
If you decided to go with FMw PFRD 11.1.1.x, this does include a slightly older Forms/Reports version, but has nothing to do with JDeveloper. You can still use your choice of JDev give what I said above - the JDev installation must go into its own Middleware Home (e.g. Middleware2).
There is one gotcha I can think of.... Jdeveloper can easily use Java 7. Be careful not to develop something in JDev using Java 7 then deploy it into your PFRD or F/R environment which uses Java 6 by default.

  • JDeveloper and Weblogic Server - DOESN't WORK

    Hi All,
Yesterday, I was working fine with JDeveloper 11.1.1.6 until I tried to do a deployment (like normally I do) and Weblogic wouldn't start. It was giving me an error, something like 'premature end of file' and security stuff. However, my colleagues told me to rename the folder defaultDomain under C:\Users\Alejandro\AppData\Roaming\JDeveloper\system11.1.1.6.38.61.92. So I did. It didn't help.
I restarted the computer, reinstalled JDeveloper in a new middleware nothing. I created a new Windows user and repeated the process. Nothing.
My log when creating the domain is

Really don't know much about your problem but whenever i have weired problem like these..... (it has happened twice in last one year) I just renamed that sytem 11.1.1.6.38.61.92 folder
next time i start Jdev, it creates this folder and everything started working fine.... the main problem here is that.... you have to setup your connections, version control and other weblogic specific items again...... from my experience, that has been worked out well.....

    Hello Iris,
If you are using Eclipse IDE to run the application for Editing local business layer, please follow the below instructions:-
Add the jars in the class path by configuring the build path of your project & add all the jars from the location "C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\connectionServer\java". These jars contains the interfaces which is requested by Semantic Layer based applications.
Go for Run->Run Configurations->Arguments->VM Arguments. Define the location of your connection server such as -Dbusinessobjects.connectivity.directory="C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\connectionServer".
Go for Run->Run Configurations->Environment. Declare a new environment variable path specific to the java class & point it to the location C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86 which contains all the BusinessObjects DLL to make the communication between UNX universe to the database.
Build & Clean your project & run your application once again.
If you are using the standalone deployment, you can try the below steps:-
Create a batch file for compiling the java program containing Semantic Layer Java code.
declare the classpath & define all the libraries in the classpath from the below folder:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\connectionServer\java
    C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\SL SDK\java
define the java compile command with the name of the java class along with the class path entries.
set the environment variable to point the BusinessObjects DLLs: C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86
define the java run command to run the java program along with the JVM argumnets: -Dbusinessobjects.connectivity.directory="C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\dataAccess\connectionServer
Please refer the attached txt file, convert the attached .txt file to .bat file, do the necessary changes according to your environments & try to run the batch file.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks,

  • Problems with AM and WebLogic 8.1 sp3

    Hello,
The following are my environment. (both on Solaris 10)
    - Sun AM
    - WebLogic 8.1 sp3
I want to try an easy integration between AM and WebLogic. After I installed policy agent for WebLogic and properly configured. It seem to work at some basic level.
When I try to access protected resource on WebLogic. The agent can intercept and redirect to AM's login page where I enter username and password. After I enter correct username and password, it will be redirected back to my protected resource. However, this time I got error 403 forbidden.
I think this is because WebLogic doesn't know that I just already sign-in. There must be something needed to do to map AM's userid to WebLogic id.
    But I don't know how.
Could someone give me some suggestion or point me to some documents? Thanks in advance.

I meant creating a policy in the SAM web interface, where you can add the required rule (specifying resource) and the subjects to whom the policy is applicable.
Of course, if you are using J2EE_POLICY, the URL policy is of no consequence. The best practice is to use amFilter.mode = ALL, where the J2EE policies are enforced and verified by the application / app server, and the URL's are protected by SAM as well. In that case, the user has to be authorized by both SAM as well as J2EE to access the application.
This, of course, is subject to the "best of my knowledge" clause!

  • Is there a problem with JMS and Weblogic?

              Hi,
I am using JMS and Weblogic (Not Message Driven bean).
My problem is that after some time my listeners disappears.
I am sending them a message and instead of 6 listeners
              I get only 4 messages.
So, My question is: Is there any problem working with JMS
              and Weblogic???
              Thanks,
              Tal.

Too little information and a very vague question. Need more info.

  • Problems with TCL and a IRC File Server

I am trying to get this File Server running: http://freshmeat.net/projects/tclfserv/
It requires both tcl and tclx (which I installed from the aur).
When I attempt to run the fserve, It gives me the following error:
    justin @ rain > ./fserve.tcl phillies.conf
    invalid command name "signal"
    while executing
"signal trap int "NiceExit {owner said so}""
    invoked from within
    "if {$connected == -1} {
    set argv [join $argv]
    if {($argv == "") || (![file exists $argv])} {error "Bad config file specified! ($argv)\nUsage: ./fse..."
    (file "./fserve.tcl" line 233)
In the fserve.tcl file, I have the path to tcl listed as /usr/bin/tclsh. The docs for the fileserver say if you get a "signal" error, you should make sure you have tclx installed. Any suggestions on getting this to work, or, any suggestions for a solid IRC File Server?

    Hello Matthias,
I think, the answer is the note 1025707, which you have already mentioned. The gateway should run under cenadm user, and according to this note cenadm user is:
"(In the explanations, "CEN" is used as the system ID of the system on which the
DBA Cockpit runs, and "EX1", "EX2", and so on are used for the external
    systems."
So if you need to configure DB13 in P01 System, then the standalone gateway on the database server should be installed also under p01adm user.
This section from the note 1025707:
    "3. Connection through SAP Gateway
Install and configure a standalone SAP gateway on the host of
the external database (see Notes 657999 and 927508 for further information). Run
the gateway under the OS user cenadm (Unix) or SAPServiceCEN (Windows).

  • Problem with Jdeveloper and the Web Object Manager

I am trying to register a servlet through the web object manager.
As soon as click the web object manager menu pick I get the following
error: Could not load servlet information from web server.
On other peoples machines here it works fine and they can register
    servlets. What am I missing!

hmmmm, wondering if I understood you correctly:
first try the file association - right click on one of the movie files (you should tell as well with extension) then 'open with' menu then go to 'choose program' and then choose one of them and coach the box "always use the selected program to open this kind of file" in your example 'window media player'.
the other point I understood is that in download directly into your browser, well there is a settin for this in the option, don't know where exactly, but you can avoid this by right clicking on the movie/file link and choose 'save target as ...' this forces it to download it on your disk and then you can open it.
    hope this kinda helps
    Cheers
    Slarti

  • Problems between IDE and Deployment on App Server 8.2

I have an application that I wrote last year using JSC-EA and converted it ti JSC2-1. I can run the application on my development environment SunAppServer 8.2 with no problems.
When I attempt to deploy it to a standalone Sun App Server 8.2 I experience the following:
    1) Login page works fine
    2) Main menu selection page works fine
    3) Results page does not display information.
    More details:
    Main Menu page consists of:
    1) a page with a page fragment that contains a menu.
    2) 3 or 4 JSF components
    Results page consists of:
    1) 2-3 JSF text components (display OK)
    2) Same menu page fragment as above (displays OK)
    3) Second page fragment that contains a table with components added under program control (does not get displayed in deployment server, but displays fine in IDE server).
Is there ANY possibility that this can be related to migration from JSC2-EA to JSC2-1? If so, what could cause this behavior?
Is there ANY explanation as to why the application displays OK in the IDE (same app server version as deployment) but not in the deployment server?
    ANY help is appreciated.
    Thanks,

    For future references:
this happens to me too and I found that the cause is that the AM server you are going to configure, is already registered into the directory server.
Try running this command (with the obvious parameters substituted)
ldapsearch -B -T -D 'cn=directory manager' -w YOUR_CREDENTIALS -b ou=1.0,ou=iPlanetAMPlatformService,ou=services,YOUR_BASEDN -s base objectclass=* | grep YOUR_SERVERNAMEIf you found that the server you are configuring is listed here try going to AMserver console (if you have another AMserver configured) and browse to Configuration->System Properties->Platforms. If the server is here, remove it, if not, just hit Save (very important).
If this is your first AM and is a first installation you can just get rid of the Directory Server suffix and recreate it with the Top Entry alone.

  • Problems with IIS and Weblogic 6.0 Redirecting thru IIS

    Hi
I have just installed Welblogic 6.0 and I am having problems with the configuration
    of the ISAPI Plugin.
I created the iisproxy.ini file and then copied that into wlserver6.0/bin directory
and copied the iisproxy.dll file into the inetpub/wwroot directory for iis to
    see
Now when I type in my url, I get the default index.jsp page that bea supplied
but when I try to go to the Admin tool, existing portals created or new portals
added, I get the following error
    Error 404--Not Found

Can any one help, here is my iisproxy.ini file

Seems 6.0 has more than a few proxy problems. We are running IPlanet and have
had no success in running the 6.0 proxy.
FYI. We have started using the 5.1 proxy in 6.0 successfully; you might give
it a try. Not sure we want to put this in production in this condition however.

Did you get SSL authentication on iPlanet AND forwarding this to WLS
    working?
We can do certificate based authentication on iPlanet and the plugin
forwards this to WLS (6.0sp1). WLS does not do anything with it.
    Thanks,

The trusted CA file holds the root CA certificates that will be trusted by
the proxy plugin. So if your
App server has CertA from Verisign, and CertA was issued by a Verisign CA
    certificate, then you
want to have the Verisign CA certificate in the trusted CA file for the
    proxy plugin.
Also, look in /tmp/wlproxy.log, errors should be getting logged in there
    that will help determine the
    problem.
