Conflicts in IE8 and not in IE9

Using Cap5.5 for an assessment that works well in IE9 but not at all in IE8. The assessment is a series of quizzes that are scored and then summarized. We have some javascript doing the scoring and summarizing. Everything works great within IE9 but nit in IE8. The assessment was originally done in Cap4 under IE*. It was updated and revised in Cap 5.5 and now we are on IE9 but some people are using IE8 and don't get to have a correct assessment and do not see their scores. Suggestions? Thanks.

Can you examine closely the attempt they give in IE8? I mean, do they meet the course requirement to Pass it successfully. All of the same answers and attempts are the same for IE8 and IE9 people. It is the exact same test and criteria – some people are using IE8 and others IE9. IE( works perfectly but the IE8 users can’t take the assessment and obviously, there is no score.
Can you check and share teh Quiz- Reporting Screenshot and validate if all settings are meet correctly by those users. Same as above. We have 7 assessment quizzes that are individually scored. We have javascript that tales each score and summarizes it for a final passing score. The code works perfectly for IE9.
Is this been tested over an LMS? if yes, try a sample course with a couple of questiona nd compare results in same scenario on IE8. The assessment is a standalone on the server. The people take their training (Watch It and Try It) as normal and then go to the server for the final assessment.
