Connect to SFTP via proxy

This is most definitely a network issue rather than a specific Dreamweaver issue.
Until recently I was able to use Secure FTP via Dreamweaver but this appears to have been restricted by network admin for some reason. That said, I'm still able to connect to my proxy server which also uses port 22 so not sure why Dreamweaver can't?
I've tried setting Dreamweaver to use firewall/proxy with host set to localhost and port set to 22. On my proxy I have source port 22 forwarding to localhost:22 but no joy.
Can anyone help?

The prerequisites to configure ABAP Proxy include: (landscape dependent)
The business systems should be based on SAP Web AS 6.20 and SAP Web AS 6.20 kernel patch level above 1253
You have installed the XI Add-On in each of these business systems as described in the Installation Guide SAP Exchange Infrastructure 3.0
The business systems and your central Integration Server are maintained in the System Landscape Directory (SLD).
Configuration required on the Business System:
1.       Create a HTTP connection in the business system using transaction SM59
Technical Setting:
·         Connection Type: H
·         Target Host: System name
·         Service Number: HTTP Port name
·         Path Prefix: /sap/XI/engine/?type=entry
Logon Security
On the Logon/Security tab page, enter the following logon data:
·         User: XIAPPLUSER (for example); this user should represent the sending business system (see also the SAP XI Security Guide under Service Users for Message Exchange).
·         Password: the password you have specified for this user
·         Client: SAP XI Integration server
·         Language: Language required
2.       Configuration Business system as local Integration Engine.
1.       Go to Transaction SXMB_ADM
2.       Choose Edit --> Change Global Configuration Data.
3.       Select Role of Business System: Application system
4.       Corresponding Integration server: dest:// XI_XIR_CONNECTION created in step 1. Dest://XI_XIR_CONNECTION.
5.       Under Specific Configuration Data you can specify additional configuration data
Select the relevant category under Specific Configuration Data.
Choose Change Specific Configuration Data.
For ABAP Proxies, Add the following configuration:
1.Category RUNTIME
2.Parameters: IS_URL
3.Current Value: dest://XI_XIR_CONNECTION

I am using jcracft api for SFTP. It is working fine. But now i want to do same using proxy server.
can anybody tell me suitable proxy server and some code example.

Just a further update on the above :
I saw some advice suggesting I need to connect to a SOCKS server as well. So I put the below code in place.
System.getProperties().put( "socksProxyPort", "80");

However, this gave me the same error as above.
Then I heard that I need to authenticate myself to the SOCKS server.
So, here is what I wrote to do that:

java.net.SocketException: Malformed reply from SOCKS server
Does that mean I am actually connected to the SOCKS server or not, I wonder. I read in a few places that some proxies use SOCKS and some don't. I don't know how to determine whether mine does or not. When I look at the properties of the proxy in Internet explorer, I notice that the SOCKS section is blanked out. I can fill it in myself, of course, but my program still has the same errors as above.

RFC Not found for connecting To bw via proxy

What i beleive is that i need to create a data source as per my data structure and reflect in RSA7, but i am not able to get this RFC, where can i get the RFC which is send to send data To BW.

Time Capsule as Router via Proxy

Hi all,
Thank you in advance. I recently moved to a new apartment complex that connects each room via proxy.
There is an ethernet cable in each room. IT takes our computers Ethernet ID, puts it in his machine, and then we put the proxy server and port in Firefox to connect to the internet.
I want to use TC as a router in the apartment. I set it up correctly (green light), and I gave the TC Ethernet ID to the IT department. But in Airport Utility I cannot find where I should enter the proxy server for TC.
So, while I can connect to Time Capsule and can backup with Time Machine, I cannot connect to the internet because the proxy server does not go through.
I hope this was clear. Please let me know what else I should tell you.

Issue connecting via proxy client in SQL Developer 4.0

Hi SQL Developers,
I should have posted this earlier, as I have been using SQL Developer 4.0 for several months and noticed the issue some time ago. The environment I am connecting to uses a Windows ISA Proxy desktop client to allow traffic to some databases. I generally use the Oracle Client and OCI connections in SQL Developer. At some point during the SQL Developer releases, connectivity stopped working for certain databases behind the proxy.
The following clients connect to the database behind the proxy without issue:
SQL*Plus 11.2.0.1 64-bit
SQL Developer 4.0.0.12.84 using the SQL*Plus client and OCI
Connectivity to the database behind the proxy does not work with these versions:
SQL Developer 4.0.0.13.80 (tested with Oracle client, thin, etc.)
SQL Developer 4.0.0.13.30 (tested with Oracle client, thin, etc.)
Error Message:
An error was encountered performing the requested operation:
IO Error: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection
Vendor code 17002
Connectivity to other non-proxied databases works for all clients above. I've tried re-creating the connections, re-installing, etc. Nothing works except going back to the earlier version of SQL Developer.
Has anyone else experienced this behavior? I am trying to determine whether the proxy is stopping the client based on a signature or if the client is not routing the connection correctly.

I think I have found a solution.
Run the command prompt (CMD) in windows and type in the following:
setx _JAVA_OPTIONS -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true

However, once we replace SAP_PROXY_ESR with the new PI host name and credentials - we are seeing the following error & Unable to view any ESR content:
The Enterprise Service Browser can be changed by clicking
Utilities -> Settings -> Proxy Generation in the Proxy Editor.
We have completed the following steps successfully:
SAP_PROXY_ESR (Connection Type G)
INTEGRATION_SERVER (Connection Type H)
LCRSAPRFC (Connection Type T)
SAPSLDAPI (Connection Type T)
Update SLDAPICUST
All the above had a successful connection test and also have updated SXMB_ADM config.
Can you please let us know wat could be the possible reason we are still not seeing ESR Content in SPROXY and we see the below MSG:

FTP adapter to connect to SFTP server that sits outside of firewall

We have a firewall between soa server and ftp server. There is no proxy server configured on the firewall. We tried two configuration as listed below both were not working. ANy guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

We are able to do sftp through command prompt from soa server to ftp server...Some facts above look discordant... My understanding is you have to use http to access a ftp server running outside a firewall and socket if it's inside a firewall...
However, you seem to have access with socket from FtpAdapter and also are able to do sftp via command prompt (without using a proxy!)... Those facts make me believe that the connection is actually not going through the firewall... Is the Ftp server in the internal network? Is the soa server running on Windows or Linux?
Recheck your configuration according to steps on the document bellow and do some further investigation to assure that the connection from soa server to the ftp server is actually going through the firewall... Ask for the network administrator to close the SFTP port on the firewall and see if you still can connect to it...

Trouble send a message to XI via Proxy

I'm trying to send a message from R/3 System to XI via Proxy, but I just can see the message in the R/3 side (SXMB_MONI), the message has a Green Flag Status. When I activated a queue that the message belongs to it goes to Red Flag Status and I got an 'ErrorHeader' with:

IPhone no longer connects to iTunes via Wifi

On July 1,12 my iTunes did an automatic update. After the computer restarting and I entered iTunes and the following messages appeared:
Message 1: Must reinstall itunes to connect to ipod or mobile devices.
Message 2: CD/DVD folder must be located in itunes folder in order to use with itunes
I have 2 iphones (both 4s, bought at same time, both running iOS 5.1.1)and one will briefly connect to itunes via Wifi (I will identify this one as iphone1) but the other one will not (I will identify this one as iphone2). I have a PC with Windows 7.
When iphone1 is connected to itunes via wifi is disconnects randomly. Under: Summary > Version, it has the message: Connect this iphone using a USB cable in order to update or restore its software. When I have it connected with the USB cable, there are no problems. The settings selected under: Summary > Options > are: Open iTunes when this iphone is connected, Sync with this iphone over Wi-Fi, & Manually manage music and videos. The Setting under Backup > Back up to this computer (where it backs up to; I do not know)
iphone2 does not connect via Wifi but used to. It connects without issues with the USB. The Settings in iTunes > Summary are the same as iphone2 except that iphone2 is set as Backup > Back up to iCloud.
My iphone2 is my primary device. I use it exclusively; for music, taking photos, syncing photos to my Photo Stream folder on my PC, etc. The iphone1 is my spouse's secondary phone, so its not used as often (ie: only has 4 songs downloaded, used to take the odd picture, has a mirror image of apps from iphone2).
I searched Apple Support and tried the following solutions that didn't solve this problem:

I have not done this: Remove and reinstall iTunes and AMDS. I did goto the: iTunes for Windows: Device Connectivity Tests > iOS > iPhone - iTunes Troubleshooting Assistantand into iTunes > Help > Run Diagnostics. The results were: All tests passed. (My iphone2 was plugged in with USB. The iphone1 was connected via WiFi.)
What do I do now? Do I need to remove and reinstall iTunes? and if so will I lose all my itunes info (videos, music, apps, settings) or will it just show up after I install iTunes?

Unable to connect to Internet via Airport Express - 'cannot contact server'

I'm unable to connect to the internet via my Airport Express. I'm using OS 10.3.9, and had the same setup with no problems at a previous address, but with a different modem from the same ISP.
My AE is connected - the light is green - and my mac is connected to the network in Internet Connect. But when I open Safari I get an 'unable to contact server' message.
I've tried rebooting everything (modem, AE, Mac), and leaving modem/AE off for several minutes. Also reset the AE, but to no avail.
The connection works fine via Ethernet cable.
Any ideas?

Thanks, I checked out that advice doc (106798), but could not connect to the address (http://17.149.160.49) which is given to test if it's a DNS issue. My ISP says I shouldn't need DNS settings.
The service is PPPoE, and I went into Airport Admin Utility to check if the Airport was configured for this. Under Configure/Internet, I found it was set to 'Ethernet', so changed it to PPPoE. Then when I restarted I got connection status in the bar (and good Airport signal), but status flipped between 'looking for PPPoE host' and 'negotiating PPPoE host', sometimes sticking on one or the other each time I tried rebooting all gear.
Any other ideas?

My macbook pro cannot connect to internet via wifi

I have a Macbook Pro 2010 OS X 10.8.3. I cannot connect to internet via wifi (Air por). My Macbook Pro does not recognize my network and when I select it from the list of network it asks for my network password. when I type in my password a dialog box gives me timeout error. Please could anyone help me. I am using ethernet for my connection at the moment. Do I need to reset my macbookpro? if yes, what will happen to my applications and operating system (mountain lion)?

I cannot find the 'WPA passphrase' to connect my printer via wireless and cannot find it in Airport utility (MAC says it cannot find any open airports)

I browsed similar questions and saw that someone recommended going to the Airport Utility and then selecting manual set up or something- anyways, it could not find any airports. I have brought my printer from my house as my BF's has died - this is the first time it's asked for a WPA passphrase. We tried a very long series of capital letters and numbers as well as the password for the internet and both times the printer said "invalid passphrase"..... ......

Airport Utility is for administration of genuine Apple Base Stations. If you have a different Brand, Airport Utility can do nothing for you.
I think they're using ethernet.
To connect a Printer via Ethernet, no password is needed.
We already tried the password for the internet and that did not work...
If a password is required to connect to the Internet, then WiFi is likley being used, and that WiFi password is the one needed for the Printer connect wirelessly as well.
What make&model Printer? Is it indeed a Wireless Printer? Most connect via USB, but that would force it to use a specific computer to assist in printing.
