Connection Problem to EDS : Error 500

Hello,
i have a problem to connect to essbase via an EDS server.
Http Error 500 occur if i try to connect to EDS in EAS console or if i try to connect to essbase with Excel add-in.

Please check if your odbc connection to your DSN is working fine. This errror would occur genarally while connecting to the database and the respective listener is missing in connection.

ITunes Store Connection Problem and R6025 Error

I have a problem with iTunes (v 7.6.2.9) on my desktop machine that I haven't been able to resolve. The same version works without problem on my laptop, both are fully up-to-date XP SP3 installs with no iTunes add-ons.
iTunes starts correctly, but then does one of three things:
1) It hangs during connection to the Store, with the bargraph almost at the end of the travel.
2) It brings up the Store page, but although I can move the cursor around to click the Store links, nothing happens. Eventually the 'Accessing iTunes Store' bargraph may appear but it never connects.
In both of these two instance, no error messages appear, the Store simply locks up. I can still use iTunes perfectly as a player, access my library etc. However, I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL to close the iTunes process from the Task Manager.
3) As per (2), but about five seconds after the Store appears, an error box pops up:

Pressing OK closes iTunes.
I've done all the obvious things - removed and reinstalled, cleaned out registry errors using jv16 Powertools 2008, I've even used Process Explorer to examine all the dlls in use with iTunes and compared the version numbers to the correctly working version on the laptop - they're all the same. I've also run a low-level memory error checker, but it passed with flying colours.
So I'm a bit stumped to know how to take this any further. I know other people have had R6025 problems in the past, but they seem to have generally been resolved by installing a later version of the application... which isn't much use to me, as I'm on the latest already. Incidentally, I did try going back one version to 7.6.1, but that behaved in exactly the same way.
If anyone has any ideas about how to troubleshoot this sort of problem, I'd be very interested. I'm assuming that I have another application conflicting with iTunes, but I've no idea how to find it.

Yay! I've found the culprit...
For historical reasons, I still maintain my old Compuserve 3 account as my public e-mail address. Part of the CS3 installation is a Remote Password Authentication system called Virtual Key. I noticed that these dlls were being invoked during Store connection attempts, which I thought was a little odd.
I deleted the following files from Windows/System32: (annotations courtesy of the Compuserve info text file for Virtual Key)
RPA.DLL - The dynamic link library that implements the RPA protocol for Virtual Key.
RPACFG.DLL - The dynamic link library that implements the Virtual Key accounts wizard API and other configuration APIs.
RPAWINET.DLL - The dynamic link library that is required to enable Virtual Key for Internet Explorer, version 3.0.
RPASSPC.DLL - The dynamic link library that is required to enable Virtual Key for the Internet Mail client and other non-web clients.
RPAEDIT.EXE - An editor application for editing Virtual key Accounts as well as viewing and deleting sites from the Virtual Key Site List that is created by Virtual Key when accessing secure sites.
RPAUI.HLP - Help for Virtual Key features.
VKUNINST.DLL - An uninstaller program for Virtual Key.
RPAINFO.TXT - This file.
As I only access Compuserve through the proprietary CS3 front end, removing Virtual Key has had no impact on my Compuserve mail system and iTunes is now working perfectly.
I hope this information might be of some use to others in the future!

Servlet I/O Stream problem: cannot write into file, error 500

I am a new Java developer and now, I am facing a problem regarding the error 500. I try to grab records from a table with a date as a constraint. There are two servlets involed: a) saveRecord and b) getRecord. Servlet getRecord will grab data from a database while another servlet, saveRecord will get the data from servlet getRecord and save it into a file. The codes are as below:

Then, the result will be post back to a JSP page. It didn't work when the records in database growing bigger ( > 100 000 records) but works nice while the records are still in a small quantities ( < 20 000 records). It seems that no record can be inserted into the file and the JSP page becomes blank. When I opened the csv file, I found a message"Error 500:" inside it.

I am amatuer in Java Programming, so I don't know how to implement serializable interface but I will look through it.
However, as I mention before, the code run perfectly if there are not much records un the table. But once there are more and more table added in (> 1000 000 records) in the table, it becomes unstable - sometime it works but most of the time it doesn't. So, I didn't find any different event I replaced the code with String date = "=2000-01-01".

Obiee start page error : Error 500 internal server error---- From RFC 2068

Hi,
Atlast after 100s of attempts(it took around 2 months) I successfully installed Obiee 11g on my laptop (simple install type)
(lot of errors and lot of issues).
Now the problem is whenever I start the BI services "http://systemname:7001/analytics/saw.dll?bieehome"
it won't open some time especially when system is not connected to internet... and whenever I connect to internet it works properly..
( I installed Microsoft Loopback Adapter for static IP)....
The error I am getting when I am not connect to internet is " Error 500 internal server error---- From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol-- HTTP/1.1:
10/5/500 Internal Server Error
The server encounterd an unexpected condition whcih prevented it from fulfilling the request"
Does Obiee 11g definitely need internet connection(for standalone systems) to work properly..?

Immediate HELP in Tomcat 5 to Postgresql 7.4 database connectivity problem

I failed to connect Tomcat 5.0.24 with Postgresql
7.4.2. The files created by me and the changes i had
made in the existing files are rates.jsp,
conversionDAO.java, web.xml and server.xml. The error
message on the top of the rest of it was "The value of
useBean class attribute converter.conversionDAO is
invalid". So far I found out that the coding for
database connectivity purpose in conversionDAO.java
cause the error. Another thing is Postgresql jdbc
driver is required to set in the CLASSPATH for the
java file to access the Postgresql database. I don't
know where should I put it in Tomcat for web
application. Anyway, I put it in
$CATALINA_HOME/shared/lib according the book i
refered. I do the database connectivity coding refer
to the Tomcat Kick Start book from Sams Publishing.

Connection problem(error 500), please help

Hello Im a newbie to db connections with java
ive written a servlet to acces mymy hsql db(sample):

stat = conn.createStatement();I guess that's because your conn==null. Make sure your dbURL value can build a correct connection.

Error 500 AND 'No principal found for UID:' problems

Hi,
We are having problems familiar to what I read on this forum.
First, the log-file mentions lots of times: 'No principal found for UID:blabla', with some lines following it.
Second, we get error 500 when setting the delegates or even looking at it.

This worked: I created a dummy user and enabled calendaring for this user.
The error log-file is still not empty (see below). Are these really errors or what?

Error Connecting to the EDS(Essbase Delpoyment Services)

I am given supervisor access to the Databases. I can Create/Delete Applications. But, when I did right clicking on the database and select Preview Data, It displays an error message "Exception: failed to connect to the EDS Server for Grid View. Cannot sign on to domain. Null argument (4) passed to ESSAPI function EssLogin" . Can somebody help me what to do. I use External Authentication while logging in.

Database connection problem SQL Error: 20, SQLState: 61000

we are doing stress test on our new web site that uses vaadin framework and hibernate. Our application/web server is apache tomcat and maximum thread number is adjusted to 750.
we are using jmeter for stress test and when we send 500 user scenario (approximately 15 - 20 database connection per user) in 30 seconds
we are encountered the following error:
*14:43:10,502 WARN JDBCExceptionReporter:233 - SQL Error: 20, SQLState: 61000*
*14:43:10,503 ERROR JDBCExceptionReporter:234 - The Network Adapter could not establish the connection*
but if we send 500 user in 45 seconds there is no problem, jmeter test is completed with 100% success. even if we send 900 user in 120 or 180 second it is OK.
it seems that there is a DB related parameter that we could not handle properly or maybe operating system limitation (windows 2008 R2).
any help will be appreciated. thanks in advance.

It's the DBMS. Oracle particularly can react this way when there are too many connection requests
coming in, whether from multiple threads at once, or even from one thread in a tight loop. I do
not know if there's a way to moderate/adjust this. I typically recommend using connection-pooling,
and to do as much as possible to populate the pool before there is application load.

I can't be sure but most of the dota2 output looks "normal" to me (I get the same yet it works fine).
eurotrucks is clearly crashing. You could try to force the resolution it uses in its config files?
Or maybe it's missing a lib (you may need to install 32bit versions):
ldd /path/to/eurotrucks
to see if that's the case. If not, you might have to take it up with the eurotrucks developers.
And you could try using fluxbox/openbox just to see what happens. A lot lighter than KDE.

Error 500 is a browser problem

Find my past does not function fully in Family Tree Maker 2011. I cannot see transcripts.Error 500 comes up. My system is windows 7, my browser is mozilla, java is so up to date and enabled it's frightening,no old versions , all access has been allowed all sites have been allowed, in fact everyone and everything has been allowed except me.I am being denied. Someone, somewhere out there, has a solution. If it helps I've just won the lottery, and looking to unload some surplus.

I have the same problem on my iMac. My facetime has been working, but now I'm getting the same error as You. I've been through the following:
The stuff that Linc Davis suggested, new profile on iMac, moved iMac into DMZ zone with no firewall rules, tested with other Apple-ID, checked hosts file, checked different timezone settings, tried to connect to 2 mobile APs (with diferent providors), changed DNS servers (ISP's DNS + Google DNS + Open DNS) - Nothing helped. Also talked to Apple Support, since i have Apple Care, but the seem to be a bit clueless also Well I've mailed them the results of my different tests, so lets see what they come up with - Unfortunately I'm sure it will be the same suggestion as all the major PC manufactures suggests, reinstall and test - RIGHT !!!!!!
If I get solution, I'll post it here.

What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 9 running on? I will assume Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit for now.
As for the Help Menu/Update way for updating, are you doing that with antivirus and firewall(s) disabled? If not, please do so.
Do you have the 9.0.1 Update of the program installed? What version of Camera Raw do you have installed?
Premiere Elements 9 is an older program where you can still do manual installs for that one and only Update. And, Camera Raw for 9 is no longer being updated.

Here's some of the weblogic.properties setting:
weblogic.httpd.register.*jsp=\
weblogic.servlet.JSPServlet
weblogic.httpd.initArgs.*.jsp=\
pageCheckSeconds=1,\
compileCommand=/usr/local/jdk1.2.2/bin/javac,\
workingDir=/weblogic/myserver/serverclasses,\
verbose=true
weblogic.httpd.documentRoot=/usr/local/weblogic/myserver/public_html/
I put the all the .jsp and .html files from the Weblogic jsp example
directory into /usr/local/weblogic/myserver/public_html/jsp/
I start the weblogic console and use the console to start the "myserver"
Weblogic server. All these work fine.
Then, I start Netscape browser and enter the URL
http://localhost:7001/jsp/HelloWorld.jsp. The following error was reported:
Error 500 -- Internal Server Error
From RFC2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol--HTTP/1.1:
10.5.1.500 Internal Server Error
The server encountered an unexpected condition which prevented it from
fulfilling the request.
I double checked and HelloWorld.jsp and HelloWorld.html is in
/usr/local/weblogic/myserver/public_html/jsp/. Please help. Thanks.

You should check out the WebLogic.log and also the exceptions thrown into
the WebLogic console to see what was wrong.
