    Hi Sujana,
For deploying Web Dynpro for Java application, J2EE_admin correct password must be stored in the scured area of config tool.
Your error show that J2EE_admin information is not correct.
So, Please ask your basis team to update new J2EE_ADMIN password or you can do it in scured area of config tool.
    Hope this will helps you.

  • How to consume a ABAP webservice in a  webdynpro app?

    Hi,
I have a BAPI in ABAP that is exposed as a webservice. I want to use this to build a webdynpro app so that i can consume this webservice. This BAPI returns the Employee data. As soon as the person logs into the portal i am going to pass his login id to this BAPI so that it retrieves the Employee data for that user id. But i need to know the procedure of consuming this webservice in a webdynpro app. Any pointers in this regard will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    Hi Arun,
Consumption of a web service is univesal I guess so it wont matter if it is an ABAP webservice. For consumtion of webservice in Web Dynpro you can go through the following tutorials

We are migrating 2 specific java modules in to SAP System. But master details are stored in to my java application database. Those details are require
to SAP application. So that they provide me WSDL file,  How to i consume soap webservice in to my java application and also, How to i provide master data details to SAP system through SOAP webservice.
Any body provide me a detail instruction how to integrate SAP Application in to my java application using SOAP webservice. or
In this scenario i will go for any one open source ESB to consume the soap webservice in to my java application, and provide master data to
SAP application, can any one guide to me.

    Hi,
What IDE are you using?, for example with Eclipse i used WSDL2JAVA plugin in this way i converted the WSDL in java classes easily. Depending your development environment you can use different tools that makes easier the integration using the WSDL.

Hi. This is definitely an oracle-only problem, so you should simplify the problem
down to a small standalone program using the oracle thin driver to make a connection.
Once you get this to work, weblogic will also be able to do it. Make sure that
when you try to have weblogic succeed after you can do it with oracle code only,
that the driver you used to succeed with, is ahead of any weblogic jars in
the server classpath. Note that we ship a classes12.zip in our packaging, but
Oracle has since released a newer one (with the same name!) that has some bugs
fixed. Make sure the later one is the one the JVM will pick up.

  • WS Adaptive Model: ClassCastException at WSGenericModelClass

From a Web Dynpro application, I'm trying to connect to the KM through the webservice interface. For this, I'm using the Webservice Adaptive Model. And everything works fine, except the error handling.
For example, when I try to find resources, and I set a valid RID as a root RID parameter for the request, the resources found are retrieved, and I can list them from the context. But when I set a non-existing root ID, it throws a ClassCastException at the request.execute() method. And so on: at every "exceptional" case (for example trying to create an existing collection, or looking up a non-existing resource), instead of getting the real exception, I get a ClassCastException.
This ClassCastException has a null message, and null cause.
    The stacktrace is:
    at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.model.webservice.model.WSGenericModelClass.setRelatedObjectsForName(WSGenericModelClass.java:210)
    at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.model.webservice.model.WSGenericModelClass.setRelatedObjectsForName(WSGenericModelClass.java:278)
    at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.model.webservice.model.WSGenericModelClassExecutable.fillOutputParametersToMc(WSGenericModelClassExecutable.java:297)
    at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.model.webservice.model.WSGenericModelClassExecutable.execute(WSGenericModelClassExecutable.java:97)
    at com.sap.tc.webdynpro.model.webservice.gci.WSTypedModelClassExecutable.execute(WSTypedModelClassExecutable.java:46)
    at de.dlh.ebase.dlh.appl.lsyh.im.wd.components.IMMain.kmCreateCollection(IMMain.java:425)
This last line (425) is where the request.execute() method is.
With the invocation log enabled, I can see that the SOAP response seems to be the right one: contains an OperationFailedException, with the exceptionName NameAlreadyExistsException (for example). And at least has a valid XML format (I checked).
The destination URL is set to:
    http://<host>:<port>/RepositoryFrameworkWS/Config1?mode=sap_wsdl&style=document
(with a real host and port)
I tried without the mode sap_wsdl, with the same results.
RPC style doesn't work, because of the arrays, and the NWDS couldn't generate a model from the style rpc_encoded.
The Netweaver version is 7.0 SP13, I am using NWDS 7.0.13.
I tried to add different library references to the project (webservices, naming, tcsecdestinationsinterface, tckmcbc.uwlapi, tcwdwslib,webservices_lib, tcsecdestinationsservice, tcsecwssecservice, PORTAL:sap.com/com.sap.km.application),
I even tried to add the library sap.comtckmcbc.rf.wswsrf~bean.jar as a long shot, but I ended up with the same result.
I am needing to solve this, because I need to have the means to differentiate between "normal" operation errors and those of the exceptional nature.
For example: before creating a resource, I must check if the parent collection exists, If exists, fine, but if not, I must create the collection. Checking for existence might throw a "normal" (expected) exception, but if the user doesn't have the rights to do this operation, the application must know and act accordingly.
The webservice KM access is a requirement. (API access excluded, because in fact now I'm migrating from that)
    Do you have any ideas?

There are 64k limits on several things (code per methods, constants, etc) in Java.
So i think the only solution would be to divide the WSDL file in more managable smaller pieces. But the webservice is a third party product, and so not in my responsibilty.

  • Can we access PI tables from WebDynpro Java via PI 7.1?

    Hi Experts
Is it possible to fetch PI Tables (to display monitoring and alerts as dashboard on portal) from Java Stack. I got some javadocs API SAP Netweaver for PI 7.1 but i don't know how far it can help me in solving my purpose of fetching and displaying the PI monitoring data on Portal.
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/javadocs
Please advise if J2EE access to PI Tables is possible or RFC is the suggested solution to fetch PI Monitoring data.
    Thanks
    Neha

    Hi Neha,
You can access PI tables from Webdynpro Java application using RFC or Webservices. Create RFC or Webservices which will fetch data from the PI tables.Create the required JCO's and the Webdynpro java application which uses the Adaptive RFC model or Adaptive Webservice Model to connect to the ECC system.
I found a document that speaks about fetching data from SXMB_MONI Standard Table https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/b050ff4f-84c3-2b10-3d99-8f9c44f57a17

  • UWL application in Webdynpro Java

    Hi
I have a requirement where I need to replicate the standard SAP UWL feature in a custom Webdynpro Java component.
The Webdynpro Java component will be a custom screen which will have all the features of the standard UWL.
When the users launch the Webdynpro application, he should be able to see all the notifications in his inbox and when he clicks on a particular task in his inbox, the task should perform the same things that it does when opened from UWL application. It should be able to trigger webservices or launch UI related to BPM processes.
Please provide your suggestions on this.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sayan Ghosh

    Hi Sayan,
UWL apis will provide you the methods and interfaces to replicate the similar behavior of standard SAP UWL. You can read more about [UWL API|http://help.sap.com/javadocs/NW04S/SPS09/uw/index.html].
Make sure that UWL services are started in Portal.
There is a nice tutorial that you can refer for building UWL in webdynpro. Refer - [Accessing UWL Notifications from Web Dynpro Using UWL API|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/802bfda2-8a85-2b10-9290-d67da32d0c01?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]

    Dear Ajay,
Assuming that both your applications WDA & WDJ are in the portal & you don't have to pass any parameters to the WDJ application.
Write the following code on the action  where you would call the WDJ application.

            l_component TYPE REF TO if_wd_component ,
            lr_port_manager TYPE REF TO if_wd_portal_integration ,

      lr_compcontroller =   wd_this->get_componentcontroller_ctr( ).
      l_component = lr_compcontroller->wd_get_api( ).
      lr_port_manager = l_component->get_portal_manager( ) .
    * The value inserted into the navigation-target field can be found in the Portal
    * content administration tab of your portal. It is the ID or PCD Location field
wa_navigation-target = pcd. " Please provide the PCD Location of the WDJ Application here.

  • Reusability of Adobe form created in SFP in a WebDynpro Java application

    Hi Experts,
Can some one advise me how I can use the pdf form created in ABAP side (Transaction SFP) in the WebDynpro Java application?
What is the procedure to include this pdf object in the WebDynpro application development?
    Regards,
    Shobhit

    Hi,
You can add customised UI elements by a right click in your library pallette/ ot by dragging the ui elelments into the pallette. Like wise you can put your layout into the library pallette and reuse them. You may refer the Adobe life cycle designer (ALCD) help for it.
the second option i meant was after designing the layout in the SFP transaction, click on the PDF preview tab in the layout. Save the PDF.
NOw on developing the Java application, open the ALCD and use tools-> import to import the PDF you have saved.
    Regards,
    Anto.
