Consuming 3rd Party Web Service - Proxy Generation Error

Hi All,
I am trying to consume a third party Web Service in SE80 and get the below error while completing the steps to configure proxy class.
"Exception Occurred in Configuration Handler"
Uninstantiated object "new child subject" in method
IF_SRT_WSP_SUBJECT_SERVICE~CREATE_BINDING of class CL_SRT_WSP_SUBJECT_SERVICE
The same web service when I try to import in Java it is fine. Has anyone encountered this issue?
Note: I tried both using URL and also saving as local file and its the same error message.
Thanks,
Nagarajan.
The Question is still open.
Edited by: Nagarajan Kumarappan on Oct 10, 2011 9:40 AM

The problem we had was with the web service itself. There were in multiple places we had few definitions repeated which caused the issue. Once we removed it we were good. Use altova xml free for 30 days to check your wsdl. It's great tool to identify issues.
Thanks and good luck !!!

  • Consuming 3rd party web service in Java web dynpro application

    Hi All,
    I am working on a scenario where external(3rd party) web service has to be consumed in WD Java application. I am provided with WSDL file. Let me explain how I usually consume other webservices:
         Create model->AWS model->Remote Location/file System->provide url->create/choose service group->finish
         Then I would generate the code in custom controller by applying template
          I assign provider system as local for the service group in nwa.
    This is normal process to me. I am struck with this 3rd party web service. Please share your ideas on the same. Any help is highly appreciated.
    BR,
    Manoj

    I ve created a provider system pointing to where 3rd party WS resides. i am trying to connect through WSIL. While pinging that provider system, I don't see that particular WS(that I am gonna consume). And while assigning this Provider system to service group, processing state getting 'Failed'.
    What could be reason?

  • 3rd Party Web Service Integration

    I am a complete beginner with SAP Process Integration.  I could do with a simple 'To Do' List on what I should do and in what order to do it so that I can 'talk' to external 3rd party web service. In a nutshell, I will be using 3rd party web service to create document for eventual printing, so I will need to populate XML with various database fields. I have been provided with the WSDL files for the web service.
    Appreciate any help, o matter how small.

  • Need to restart OAS server to find a 3rd party Web Service

    Hi everyone,
    I have the following problem. I am using Oracle Application Server 10g (version 10.1.2.0.2).
    I have deployed a J2EE web service to this App Server and from within this service I call a 3rd party Web Service (.NET) to a remote system. It works fine.
    However when the remote server for some reason restarts my web service noway can find the remote web service. I get a connection timeout exception to my logs.
    With a standalone client that I have to the same machine where the Oracle Application Server is installed I can call directly the 3rd party web service with no problems at any time so I am sure that there is no connection problem.
    If I restart the Oracle Application server then the J2EE web service finds the remote web service again.
    This means that whenever the remote server falls and recovers I will need to restart my Oracle Application Server as well, to let my web service find the remote web service. Crazy isn't it?
    Does anyone knows what happens??
    Thanks

    All depends on the service. You can not just access a service. You need things like if the data is JSONP or if they have instructions or keys etc. You need to just follow the instructions the service will offer on how to connect to it.

  • Files generated by Web Service Proxy give errors for complex input types

    Hi ,
    I generated a Java Web Service Proxy using a WSDL file.
    The input params are of this fashion -
    1) Object 1 have 3 attributes
    2) Object 2 having nested Object 2 (yes , again) which has a nested attribute which needs to be passed say Param 1.
    When I generate the proxy classes ... Param 1 is referred to as private Object2.Object2 param1 which gives error for the data types.
    How can we resolve this .. what should be the correct data type representation for param 1 ?
    Thanks

    Issue was resolved . Details here - 11g PS2 - WebServiceProxy Class give errors for complex input types

  • Web service proxy generation validation failed - two declarations collision

    Hi,
    I'm creating a JAX-WS web service proxy against a web service with very complex payload. When I point the wizard to the WSDL, during the analysis, it throws an error,
    Error creating model from wsdl "<mywsdl>": (Related to above error) This is the other declaration. Two declarations cause a collision in the ObjectFactory class.
    Any pointers? How can I troubleshoot such error?

  • Consuming Web Service - Proxy Generation Terminated

    Hello all,
    I have recently been exploring the capabilities of consuming Web Services from ABAP and have run into some issues.
    When I generate the Client Proxy from different WSDL files, I am frequently getting these two errors:
    <i>Proxy generation terminated: "mixed content" not supported</i>
    <i>Proxy generation terminated: WSDL error (<extension> not supported)</i>
    Is this just a limitation of ABAP?  If I get these errors, is there any way to use the Web Service?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi, had the same issue. try to rename the file to .xml ending.

  • C# Web Service Proxy - Autogenerated Error

    Hi all,
    I'm trying to consume a SAP Webservice in a C# console application within Visual Studio 2005. I've added the web reference to the WSDL and as such Reference.cs has been automatically generated. My problem is that I'm receiving two different errors at multiple different locations within this file.
            /// <remarks/>
            [System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute(Form=System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaForm.Unqualified)]
            public string Type {
                get {
                    return this.typeField;
                set {
                    this.typeField = value;
    On the line System.Xml.Serialization.XmlElementAttribute(Form=_System_._Xml_.Schema.XmlSchemaForm.Unqualified) (Surrounded by square brackets, I'm not sure how to escape the hyperlink code), I'm receiving the following errors respectively:
    System - An object reference is required for the nonstatic field, method, or property 'WSTest.dotnetWS.Bapiret2.System.get'
    XML - 'string' does not contain a definition for 'Xml'
    I'm not sure why, as this code has been automatically generated, that I'm receiving these errors, is there something that I need to change in order to rectify this problem?
    Thanks,
    Cal

    Thanks André, yes it was the same error.
    While I wasn't able to solve the clash of the Bapiret2 field SYSTEM with the .NET keyword System, I negated the problem by creating my own structure with the fields I needed (did not need the system field).
    So now my program compiles and runs, however - when I try to use the program, that is; i try to invoke the function module the WS is connected to, I receive the following error:
    System.InvalidOperationException: Namespace prefix ' SOAP-ENV' not defined
       at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.ReadFaultCode(XmlReader reader)
       at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.ReadSoapException(XmlReader reader)

       at WSWinApp.dotnetWebService.service.ZcalGetPdets2(ZcalGetPdets2 ZcalGetPdets21)
    My understanding of SOAP isn't that great but my first idea is that I think the WSDL may need a <SOAP-ENV:Envelope /> tag somewhere, although that's just a guess.
    If anyone could shed some light on how to solve this problem or even where to look it would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
    Cal

  • Making SOAP calls to a 3rd party Web service with PeopleCode

    Hi everyone :) I'm new to PS and have two questions (the first is most important):
    1. Are there any good resources for using PeopleCode to make SOAP (or even GET/POST) requests to Web services hosted outside a PS environment? I found [this page|http://www.zutshigroup.com/site/tech/peoplesoft_soap_example], but it doesn't appear to connect to a remote WSDL.
    2. How does development work, exactly? I'm used to the standard web languages where you launch a local dev server like IIS, launch an IDE, build code, and view the output in a browser. Does the PS model work like this?
    I am a developer for a company who offers Web services and am soon going to be remotely connecting to another company's PS dev environment to develop some sample code for them that integrates our services with their PS. I have no experience with the platform and due to the complexity of the PS installation won't be able to try it out before I begin developing. I would like to get as good a feel for this platform as I can before the meeting.
    I appreciate any information you can give me on sample code resources, workflow concepts, etc, but my question is primarily about SOAP requests. I can research the rest.
    Thank you!

    Hi,
    Not sure if that App Package is available in versions below 9. But, I think it should be available since PS internally does use the same App Class for integrating with Tax softwares like Vertex and Taxware. Also that example is used when one does not want to make use of any IB Objects...
    You can definitely go ahead and make use of Standard IB Objects to Consume and Provide a Web Service in PS...
    Would like to know, if PS is the Consumer or the Provider?
    If PS is the Consumer then you can have a look at the code below ...

  • Web Service Proxy Generation from tModel

    Hello,
       I have created a Business (Web) Service in the UDDI supplied with the NW04s Java Stack SP06, under a new Business Entity. I have also created multiple tModels each corresponding to unique Web Service Descriptions (WSDs) of the same Web Service. I have linked two of the tModels to the Business Service created above.
       Now using the NW Dev Studio I generate a Deployable Proxy for a single tModel of the Business Service. However this does not create a Logical Port definition and so I am unable to call the service with it. I go in to create a New Logical Port in the Proxy and the only viable option in the wizard is to supply the WSDL of the Business Service. But, when I do this it completely regenerates the proxy. Is there any way to prevent this? What is the benefit of having unique tModels if you can consume only the WSD you want to through a particular proxy?
        I hope someone has tried this before me and can supply some useful answers. SAP Help Documentation pretty much draws a blank so I am not sure where to look.
    Thanks,
    Murtaza.

    Hi Murtaza,
    Was your issue resolved?
    Kindly update.

  • Consuming third party web service in CE7.1.

    Hi Experts,
    I want to consume a third party webservice in NWDS 7.1. I have wsdl URL. Please help me by stating steps what all i need to do. Is there any doc/blog in place? While searching I came across a blog Link: [https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/50d70a19-45a3-2b10-bba0-807d819daf46&overridelayout=true] but when i followed the stes, using wsd,l I am getting error right on first step. Also I tried creating a model directly using URL but I am getting an error "Unable to import the model". Do I need to create proxy class for it?
    Thanks and Regards
    Pranav

    Hi Pranav,
    if you get trouble importing a WS model via WSDL-URL, it often has one of the following reasons:
    1. Eclipse does not have access to the URL. Easily happens within network environments. try ping <URL> from cmd to check if the wsdl is reachable. Workaround: download the wsdl and import from file
    2. At least with 7.0 importing the wsdl started a new process in the background. If your user rights are insufficent, this may fail. Try importing with local admin rights.
    Either way, you should have a log in c:temp.
    check it out
    hop that helps

  • Calling external web service - Proxy Authentication error

    Using Developer 10.1.3.3 and following OTN example http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/10gr2/howto/webservicefromforms/ws_10_1_3_from_forms.html.
    I have followed the above example and am trying to test the SendServiceSoapClient.java in JDeveloper. The class compiles ok but when I run it I receive the following error in the log window :
    HTTP transport error: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: javax.xml.soap.SOAPException: Bad response: 407 Proxy Authentication Required
    As I was able to create the proxy with no problems, the proxy settings in Tools->Preferences are valid. I don't understand at what point it is failing as I am able to access the wsdl in the example from JDeveloper. I have checked the system settings for the proxy (username/pwd/host etc) at run time and they are as expected.
    Can anyone make any suggestions? I have had my user details checked on our proxy server and it is not blocked from performing any actions. Is the message indicating I am being blocked from accessing the service from the suppliers end?

    I have a solution for the problem I encountered.
    My collegues who look after the proxy server and network first tried to bypass authentication for the web site www.esendex.com (where the service resides). The same error occurred when trying to call the service.
    They then set up a route on the network to send the request straight to www.esendex.com and a rule on the firewall to allow the request 'out'. This has done the trick and the request passes through!
    Unfortunately, I am not much clearer as to why our proxy server is configured to block this message type and how come it can't be changed! Hey ho, I have a solution for now!
