I've been looking for the same - without sucess. There's a couple out there with [brief] chapters but I hve not found anything dedicated just to CSS's. Huge gap in my opinion, Sorry, but if anyone knows of something out there, please let us all know.

Thank you for your book recommendation. This sounds like an excellent book for learning Flash. From the description on Amazon, the emphasis of this book is on learning Flash with just a little information about ActionScript 3. Perhaps there is enough ActionScript 3 information in this book to get a good foundation with ActionScript, to learn the terminology and syntax?

Too Easy to delete a book's content in Book Module?

Is anyone else finding it too easy to delete -- by accident -- the content or layouts of a book you have been working on in the Book Module? It has happened to me once and I am now very unsure of how to keep it from happening again. I have begun making copies of the book as I progress -- which can be useful for other purposes, but doesn't answer the question of if there might be a better way for the book module to work in this respect.
Don't get me wrong -- I love the book module already and it is worth the price of the upgrade just for that. But I want it to be perfect!

I suspect it said all the folders would be recreated, not the files. Once you have imported, you must delete in RoboHelp in the same way as any other topic. Otherwise how does the database it maintains know what you are doing?
If the book is going to change again, maybe linking would be a better option.

3rd party purchase for Network booked to project stock

Hi,
I have the following issue:
I've created a 3rd party for a Network with Account Assignment as N and Item category as S .After doing GR it is booked to Project Stock, where as it suppose to consume directly.
Please kindly suggest me any settings need to be done in PS otherwise it has to be taken care in MM .

Table of content in .book is not linked correctly, it is linked to it self.

I desperately need some advice on an urgent matter. I made a perfekt little .book-file with a table of content at the front of the book.
Then I realized that when i turned it in to a .pdf the table of content ( it is also shown i the left-window when I look at it in acrobat ) is duplicated. The left window show my table of content and it links to the text-rows in the table of content, and then below that it shows the rows of the table of content again, but this time it links to the actuall correct pages.
How can I get rid of this duplication, and just get the correct indexing linking to the pages, but at the same time keeping my table of content in the front of the book?

When converting a FrameMaker book to PDF, the PDF may include bookmarks for additional paragraph tags (on top of those specified in the book's PDF setup)
The workaround is to specify PDF Setup in the individual file. For example, open your TOC, select Format > Document > PDF Setup, and make sure that the Heading1TOC, Heading2TOC... paragraph tags are not included in the bookmark setup.

How to remove "Table of Content" from Book?

I constructed the book in Workspace, added the members (reports) I want to be in the book, and exported all into a book. When I opened it in .pdf format, it naturally came with a Table of Content.
Is there a way to remove it?

1. Open the book in Editor mode.
2. On the Far right hand side, where it states Add Documement, change to Book Setup.
3. On the Table of Contents section, change Include in Printed Output from Yes to a No.

Content Component & Booking Unit

I am new to SAP Media and am responsible for Adveritsing Management in my business,I want to know the exact difference between a content componet and a booking unit, how they are related each other.,
Would be greatful if any body comes up with an example.

A content component describes items in an ad within a publication. This can be a column, a section or a special publication.
Menu path:
SAP Menu->Logistics->Advertising Management->Master data->Booking->Content Component->Create
Transaction: JJI1 / JJI2 / JJI3
Example:
You publish one Ad in u201Clast coveru201D in u201CAd Week publicationu201D. Then, last cover is created as content component (Cover4) with component type as u201CSectionu201D
Booking Unit:
A booking unit is a combination of advertising space or time in advertising media, which is structured according to the sales perspective for those advertising.
Menu path:
SAP Menu->Logistic->Advertising Management->Master data->Booking->Booking Unit->Create
Transaction: JJB1 / JJB2 / JJB3
Example:
You publish one Ad in u201CMetro plusu201D in u201CThe Hinduu201D. Metroplus(Contains 1-4 Sheets) may consider as Booking Unit in SAP.
Booking Unit can be classified as,
1. Basic Booking Unit
2. Combined Booking Unit
While Creating Booking Unit Master data, we should assign content component in Booking Unit master data.

Same content, two books each with its own page size -- best way to manage?

Does anyone have any suggestions for producing two FrameMaker books that:
Contain identical content that must also be periodically updated
Must be delivered as two separate PDF books, each book having a different page size
I'm familiar with migrating FrameMaker content from one page size to another: Create a new chapter template of the desired size, then import styles, etc., and content into that new template.
But IF one must deliver the same content in two different books, AND each book using a different page size (U.S. Letter and B5), AND the content is periodically updated and maintained, THEN what's the best way to manage that same content, two different page-sizes delivery problem?
PDFs are generated from FrameMaker 7 or 8 (we have both) via Adobe Distiller 9.

Use three directories - one for the master FM document, and one "build" directory for each of the formats you need. When it's time to build, copy all the files into the relevant build directory and do your stylesheet applying, book regenerating, and printing in the build directory.
If you decide to handle it in FrameMaker (rather than Acrobat), then use two stylesheets - one with all the formats you need and letter-sized pages, and one with no formats and with B5 sized pages. This way you only need to manage one stylesheet for most formatting controls (except page layouts), and you only need to import the page layouts when you want to build a document or "toggle" it between different page sizes. How similar these two stylesheets are to each other (on the master pages) depends on how much you think you can get away with:
If the page sizes are similar, use different pages sizes but identical text frames on the master pages if you can. This would give you identical pagination although the margins would be different. You might be able to find an optimum "compromise" text frame size that fits both page sizes reasonably well.
If you can't use the same text frame sizes on the master pages, then of course your pagination is going to change, but at least try to use text frames that are the same WIDTH. This avoids needing to manually adjust side-head areas, pictures, and table widths every time you change the page size.

Java Networking Books

I am doing a project in Java Networking,kindly suggest me a good,solid
book on Java Networking.

I think the combination of the worker thread from Example 12.2 and its driver Example 12.3 do not distribute connections evenly among threads. Or, am I wrong?

Ifilter 9 x64 is not indexing (content) network directory

I'm using Windows Server 2008 r2 with indexing service and iFilter9 x64 to searching files stored in a network share.
I added d:\adobeFilter to path system variable.
When I try to search something, it returns .doc, .docx, .txt and other files fine but it's not searching into pdf files (if it is searching into name and properties but not content).
So I copied the same files into a local directory and added it to the catalog, and it's returning pdf files now (content search) but only ones from local directory (d: and not \\server).
I mapped the network directory but it is not working too
Is there any way to fix this issue?

It has been included with Acrobat Reader in the last versions.
The old version (Ifilter 6) in a Windows Server 2000 is working without problems.

Location-aware content in books?

Is it possible to have book content that appears only if the user is in a certain location?
(Can it be done via a widget?)

I just asked if location-awareness was possible in an iBook. (Since web pages can be location-aware, it doesn't strike me as impossible that an iBooks widget could be location-aware as well.)
If it's not possible, then a simple "it's not possible" would be fine.

Extracting or deleting content across books in multiple languages

Hi there,
I'm writing a book in FrameMaker 9 that will be translated into seven languages. Some time after it's translated, I'll need to assemble different versions that exclude parts of the original book. I'd like to be able to assemble the new versions in English, then apply them to the other languages so that the same pieces are automatically excluded in each language. Conditional text comes to mind as a possible way to do this. Does structured FrameMaker offer a better way?
Also, I might want to assemble a new book from parts of different English books, then have the same version assembled automatically from the books in other languages. Can structured FrameMaker help with this?

Yeah, I rather expected it to be extra (and error-prone) work for the translators. Conditional markers don't seem to export reliably to other formats the translators might use, such as RTF for Word, so I suppose they'd have to be maintained manually.

Updated 3g no longer loads previously loaded content like books, music, etc

Why is previously purchased content no longer accepted by the 3g after updates? Super irritating. Shouldn't that content be integrated automatically into updates? Certain apps, etc, I use all the time. Thank you.

Yea I been trying a bunch of stuff trying to fix this aside from installing apples web browser they offer which I dont plan on doing. I updated basicly all the drivers on my computer rangeing from video down to the stuff that has no relation to itunes.
I also noticed that when I connect my ipod touch 2nd gen to my computer when itunes running that on the task manager a program running in the background called SyncServer.exe which is saposely part of itunes will peg my processer to 50%-100% cpu usage for some reason and ill get a error message that says "iTunes was unable to load provider data from sync services. Reconnect or try again later"
I almost always get that error message 10min or so give or take a few min after I connect my ipod and run itunes if I attempt to sync it with the podcasts I get every week.
I run CA internet security suite but I highly doubt this would be causeing these errors like this. I turned it off everytime I installed and uninstalled the files as well as configured the firewall to best of my knowlage not to block any of apple ports needed to run itunes correctly. So only thing I can think of is that its eather something on apples end or my internet provider is blocking something for itunes.
I tried to contact apple to get help with this but they want to charge me $35 just to talk to me and refuse to give me any help via email so I dont know what to do hopefully someone on these boards has had this issue and managed to fix it if not I guess I am no longer able to use Itunes.

Upgraded to IOS 6.1.2, now WiFi is greyed out. Did a complete reset of all settings, contents, network settings, subscriber settings. Also cleared history, cookies and data as an extra measure.

ALSO, used itunes to reinstall ios. Same issue.

My thoughts on above question are:
Crate a folder for each book in site pages libraries programmatically.
I will implement wikipage/Publishing page from each html programmatically.
Upload assets like images, css into site assets library programmatically
Any other thoughts to implement same in Sharepoint 2010 with programmatically .
Please consider also capacity or memory requirement s of Sharepoint site collection for all books and provide your thoughts on new design

What you are suggesting should not cause much load on any SharePoint server. Pages, even 300 of them, are just HTML that are formatted with CSS and images in your design. As such, the capacity to store, index and deliver such content for thousands
of books is well within SharePoint's ability. Where capacity will become a factor is consumption load i.e. how many users you have loading pages at the same time. Even at that though, given the content is books, it can be assumed users would load
a page and then read it's contents, even if just skimming it. Thus the load placed on SharePoint would be much less than say a user browsing around a site looking for some files etc. Capacity planning for consumption load would be the main effort
