Content Repository creation issue in OAC0 tcode

Dear All ,
I installed Content Server 640 verison with Max DB 7.6 successfully on Windows Server 2008 R2 server.I did the the installation on the same server where my ECC development system is running.
When I'm creating the content repository in OAC0 getting the below error.
<<<<CreateTab ContentStorage, connect error SQLConnect failed, [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified, Error Code: 0>>>>
I followed SAP Note 301352 - ODBC driver is not registered ,and used the below command to register ODBC driver but it gives me error saying Can't create registry value.
C:\>odbcreg LiveCache -i -p f:\sapdb\programs\pgm
Error : Can't create registry value.
I did the installation using domain ID which is assigned to administrators group on local host.not able to figure it out ,whats the issue.
Can you please help me to fix this issue please.

You need to do the following,
In CSADMIN got to setting.
Add the parameter : Driver = MaxDB
Restart the system and check it should work.

Error : ORA-01658: unable to create INITIAL extent for segment in tablespace string
Cause: Failed to find sufficient contiguous space to allocate INITIAL extent for segment being created.
Action: Use ALTER TABLESPACE ADD DATAFILE to add additional space to the tablespace or retry with a smaller value for INITIAL
Check with DBA hope he will helps you toresolve your issue by inceasing tablespace memory

OWB 10 repository creation issues in a 9.2.0.8 Db (using Rep Assitant)

I’m using Oracle Database Enterprise Edition 9.2.0.8 and I installed the Oracle Warehouse Builder 10.2.0.1 in the same machine (in a different oracle home, once in the installation process doesn’t allow to install in the same oracle home from the database).
While configuring the repository with the Repository Assistant, I’m experiencing a big delay in the step 5 of 8: Repository Owner Information (around 2 hours) of the advanced wizard, which ends with the error box showing the message “Database Connection Failed: ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [17059], [0x697F83FC] , [], [], [], [], [], []”.
Anyone had this issue? Is anyone able to help?

Looking at the error, it seems its permissions related issues. Check if all required permissions are set for ODI Master repository user/schema & system user.
Its trying to update ODI repository version in SCHEMA_VERSION_REGISTRY table under system tables, but not able to do it due to lack of sufficient privileges.

Cleasing repository creation issue

Hi,
I am trying to create a cleasing repository for which i performed following steps:
1.Created a database dq_repo in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2
2.Created a Local repository using the dq_repo database.
3.Then i tried to install cleasing package on this repository(dq_repo) by selecting Cleansing Package in BODS
Repository Manager.
4.When i hit on the Create button, it gives me an error that 'Cleansing repository does not exist'.
5.So, i go to the BODS Designer and give the dq_repo details in Dictionary->Manage Connections.
6.I tried to create the cleansing package now, so it gives me and error that *'Cleansing package does not contain any
dictionaries'.But , when i checked at the path "C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Data
Services\DataQuality\datacleanse",i see that dictionaries are present.
Now my questions are:
1.Whether i am taking the right approach to create the cleasing repository?
2.If yes, where am i going wrong in my above mentioned steps?
FYI:
1. Enviornment:
a.Windows XP
b.Database- Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2
c.SAP BODS 3.12 with cleasing patch installed.
2.BODS services are on.
Please help me on this problem.

With DS 3.X, the Cleansing Package installer must be run first which lays down the pieces that are used within the Repository Manager when you select Cleansing Package as the repository type. If this has not be run, you won't be able to use Repo Manager to set this up.
Also, in Designer, you are not able to connect to a Cleansing Package using Manage Connection, until the Repo Manager part has been completed.
To tell if this installer has been run, look to LINK_DIR\DataQuality\datacleanse to see if there are any PERSON_FIRM_*.zip files there. If not, you know it has not been run. If there are, the next step is to create a database to hold the cleansing package and then use Repository Manager to seed it.

FYI...if you are really using 3.1X, that is not supported any longer and you should upgrade. The latest version of DS is 4.0 and has changed significantly since 3.X for the CP installer as well as having the requirement of installing BIP/IPS. Please see upgrade guide for information on this.

Content repository does not exist

Hi,
Kindly see the way we are creating the SAP content repository pointing to an external content repository which is our own DMS server. Our server is returning the success status in CSAdmin. But customizing is being shown as missing.
When I click on Test Connection, then I get the error CMS 106 content repository does not exist.
It seems as the content repository created by us is visible in the content repository list, entry is there in TOAAR table too, still somehow SAP system thinks that it doesnt exist.
We are working by logging into quality testing client. Kindly suggest do we need to login into customizing client to solve this problem. And also suggest is transporting necessary to complete the content repository creation.
Is it related to contentserver.ini file, do we need to see whether there's entry in it.

in customizing of the archiving object is a field where you specify an indicator for the content repository.
(go SARA -enter archiving object - click customizing button - click technial settings)
As archiving objects are customized in DEV and transported to PRD systems, here often an indicator for the DEV content repository is transported to PRD.
But usually you dont have customizing for the DEV conentent repository in PRD to avoid that you write into the wrong content repository.

Issue in storing email & attachments in to content repository server.

We have done the following for storing email & attachments in to
content repository server.
Transaction - Activity done
1) OAC0 - Defined the content repository folder RQ
2) OACT - Created a category( ZSOFFHTTP1) and associated it to RQ
3) SKPR08 - Associated ZSOFFHTTP1 to SAP OFFICE Class SOFFPHIO
Also, updated the entry in the table SDOKPHCL against the record having
Docuclass value as SOFFPHIO and change the category value to ZSOFFHTTP1.
Now, we went to transaction SBWP and created a test message and sent
an email to ( recepient address) and recip type as
interent address.
But when we cross checked the entry in SOOD table for this email sent
today, we find that the value in the field is 'K' and not "A".
We have done all the steps as per the SAP Note 530792 still the issue
persists.
As per the sap note 904711,SOOD-EXTCT Storage <space> directly in table
SOC3
K using the KPRO
A in an archive
Any help on this , would be highly appreciated.

Thanks for the answer, but my question was whether it is possible to store documents to an external content server using transaction OAOR (Business Document Navigator). Right now it is only possible to store documents to the R3 database with OAOR.

For the creation of content repositery in OAC0, give the name of content repository in 2 chars only.
Select document area as ArchiveLink, storage type as SAP System Database and rep. sub type as normal.

Storing content (image) to UNIX local disk using content repository (OAC0)

I want to setup a temporary content repository in oac0 to write to local disk (UNIX file system). The program calls content repository V6 which I have set up. The V6 content repository attempts store image. We have no Content Server for this piece of testing work. Not data archiving is required. Only content (image) storing to local disk. Is there a way to setup content repository to store content to local disk without the need for a web service?

Dear Dave,
I think the best way for this scenario would be to define a data carrier in transaction DC20. For this data carrier you can for exmaple maintain a network path where the originals are stored.
In CV01N or CV02N you can then add the original and just enter the data carrier and the filename. To access the file in the network path you must not check it in. Till the file is checked out the system will always try to access the file in its original directory without needing any content server.

I have a problem in terms of getting the correct ordering for a property that I have defined in the BEA Content Repository. Does anyone know what can be done?

Data control issue for content repository when running apps in webcenter .

from data control i am displaying some path and name based on some search criteria .

on server side .

SAP Content Server Connectivity issue

Hi Friends,
We have installed Content server 6.40 on a standalone server after the installation i tried to open below link but its not opening.
http://hostname:1090/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo
This content server has to be connected to R3(ECC 6 EHP4 ) hence we went to t codes OAC0 and OACT to create content repository
We have created a content repository as below
Content Rep.    ZDMS
Description     ZDMS
Document Area : DMS document management system
Storage type: 04 HTTP content server
Version no.     0046   Content Server version 4.6
HTTP server     192.168.30.12(where the content server is installed)
Port Number     1090                        SSL Port Number
HTTP Script     ContentServer/ContentServer.dll
Phys. path      D:\usr\sap\FNS\SYS\global\
and when i am checking i am getting below error
Error in HTTP Access: IF_HTTP_CLIENT->RECEIVE 1 ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED
i have also created a entry in table SDOKPROF
as below but still same issue.
NAME = USEHTTPPLG
VALUE = OFF
and also we have run RSHTTP05 to check if any error but no errors.
Even when we are going in t code CSADMIN we are getting same error

In dev_icm belwo error is showing.

Thanks for your inputes i checked IIS and after the content server installation these website were not created hence i created it manully as per note 1823408 - Manual Creation of Website on Windows 2008 Server
I created SAP_Content_Server by following first 3 steps but after that 4 , 5 and 6 steps are not clear i dont see those option in ISS manger.
1. Go to Internet Information Services Manager from Start Menu >> Admintrative tools >> IIS manager
a) or Start Menu >> Run >> "Inetmgr"
2. Right Click on Sites >> "Add Website" to create a new Website.
a) Site name <Name of the webiste>
b) port <Port No>
c) Physical Path <path of the Content Server installation directory>
d) Application Pool >> Select "DefaultAppPool"
e) Click "OK"
f) Website will be created.
3. Right click on the newly created website >> "Add Application"
a) Alias "ContentServer"
b) Application Pool >> Select "AppPool_ContentServer"
c) Physical Path <path of the Content Server installation directory>
d) Click "OK"
Content Server Application will be created.
4. Double Click on the website >> Handler Mappings
a) Select "ISAPI.dll" from the list >> Edit Feature Permissions
b) Check the tick boxes for "Script" and "Execute"
c) Click "OK"
5. Double Click on the website >> Handler Mappings
a) Enable "Anonymous Authentication"
b) Enable "Basic Authentication"
c) Enable "Windows Authentication"
6. Double Click on the IIS Server name >> ISAPI and CGI Restrictions >> Click on "Add"
a) ISAPI or CGI Path <path of the Content Server installation directory,selecting "ContentServer.dll" >
b) Description "ContentServer.dll"
c) Check the tick box "Allow extension path to execute"
d) Click "OK"

Content repository FD does not exist :user agent sap web application server

i am using 3rd party software(dms SERVER) and connecting it using archive link interface SAP HTTP 4.5 AL
i have created a new repository with name FD using tcode OAC0.when i give inputs in OACO and click on test connection it gives me information Content repository FD does not exist

Dear all,
my issue is resolved.I solved my issue myself
solution: SAP sends HTTP request in the form of URL like
http://serverip:port/GET /Default.aspx?serverInfo&pVersion=0045&contRep=FD HTTP/1.0
Now your response should contain string contRep="FD"
dont forget double quotes on repository name coz SAP program matches string with double quotes. if you will return value like this contRep=FD
this will through error.

Employee Photo upload vs Content Repository

Hi Guys,
Can anyone explain me
1. What are the different circumstances we use different Document Area and Storage Type for Uploading Photos in SAP?
2. Is ther any space constraint and performance issues in storing Photos in R/3 database?
3. What is the recommended document Area and Storage Type if I need to upload more than 50,000 photos?

Hi Dude,
1. Create a number range for SAP Archive Link :
IMG->Basis Components->Basis Services->SAP Archive Link->Basic Settings->Maintain number ranges.
Tcode OANR. Create range 01 from 0000000001 to 9999999999 without the external number flag.
2. Document type HRICOLFOTO must exist with document class JPG.
IMG->Basis Components->Basis Services->SAP Archive Link->System Settings->Maintain document types.
Table TOAVE, Tcode OAC2.
3. Document type HRICOLFOTO must be linked to object type PREL and IT0002.
IMG->Personnel Management->Personnel Administration->Tools->Optical Archiving->Set up Optical Archiving in HR.
View V_T585O, no Tcode. In all three columns there ara minuses, donu2019t put a flag in the check box.
4. Check which content repository (Archive) is linked to document type HRICOLFOTO and object type PREL.
IMG->Basis Components->Basis Services->SAP Archive Link->Basic Settings->Maintain Links.
Table TOAOM_C, Tcode OAC3
5. Create this content repository with storage type FILE archive.
IMG->Basis Components->Basis Services->SAP Archive Link->Basic Settings->Maintain content repositories.
Tcode OAC0
Storage type FILE archive can be attained by clicking on the field Storage type and clicking somewhere else in the screen with the right mouse button. Choose Possible entries and only then you get a list of all values. FILE Archive is entry number 08. Choose Version no. 0031 and Archive path something (e.g. C:\).
6. Link photo to personnel number.
Menu->Tools->Business Documents->Miscellaneous->Stored Documents. Tcode OAAD.
Click on the Create button. Business object PREL and Docyment type HRICOLFOTO. Click on create (fill in the right personnel number in the pop up and click Continue). Choose the photo (as a JPG file) from the place where it is saved (e.g. hard disk). SAP will notify that the Stored Document was created succesfully. Photo is visible via PA10, PA20, PA30, PA40. Double-click to magnify photo.
To delete archived document :
Tcode OAAD, click Find. In docyment type field select HRICOLFOTO and after execute you get a list of all documents. Select appropriate document and click on delete icon.
Don't forget to adjust IT0002 header!!!!
Please also see SAP Note 488281. Here's some of what it says:
1. The pictures (.jpg or .bmp) must be available on your PC.
2. Start transaction OAAD.
3. Choose function 'documents -> create'
4. Choose as business object 'PREL' and as document type 'HRICOLFOTO'
5. Push the create button
6. Fill in the appropriate personnel number
This solution requires SAP Archivelink to be installed.
Use SICF tcode that displays lot of services. Under sap --> bc there is a service called content server interface. Activate this service.
Now Create the A2 repository with TCode OAC0.
While creating the repository, keep the Document Area blank, Storage type as R/3 database, Rep. Sub-type will appear as Normal by default, Version No. as 0046 and in Contents table put 'SDOKCONT1' as the table name.
This will set the config part. Now upload the picture using tcode OAAD.
