Content Store Configuration

Hi all!
I am trying to set up a room iView which points to a content store. My requirement is that the end-user will be able to create content on this store but won't see it until the room admin approves. So i did the following:
1) Created a repository service to automatically submit the document to approval;
2) Created a resource list filter to remove every un-approved resource from the list.
My questions:
1) How do i tell KM to use my Repository Service on every folder under "/room_extensions/cm_stores/questions" for example, and
2) How can i make a room extension to adjust the content folder settings upon room creation (for example, i want every user with room role "Admin" to be added to the Approval Process as Approver, and alse give them Approver Administration Service Permission).
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Thiago Souza

Hi Thiago,
> tell KM to use my Repository Service on every folder
> under "/room_extensions/cm_stores/questions"
> for example
Implement additional parameters for your repService configuration which is read by your implementation and then filters the events depending on matching. Example: Add a parameter "Folder validity patter" where you for example put in "/cm_stores/questions,/cm_stores/someother" (or with the repository prefix, just as you like). Your implementation reads the configuration (check out other repository services how they do) and tries to match the name of the resource which has raised a registered event against the configuration; the rest of the implementation is only done in the matching case.
> room extension to adjust the content folder settings
Have in mind that you want to react on users added to the room role Admin, so the extension should react on ON_ADD_USER_TO_ROOMROLE (or whatever it was, that was just out of my mind). When you configure your extension, pass the content path to it. The rest is "normal" KM API, you take the user and manipulate the approval workflow as well as the permissions of the folder.
Hope it helps

  • Deliver report to Content Store directly with web interface

    Hi all,
We are currently implementing a system which will use XMLP as the letter/report/document producer. XMLP will be accessed from other applications (Siebel, EBS or else) using a preformatted URL so that the user will be in context of the report/letter directly. We would like the user to generate the report using the parameters in the XMLP web interface and when the report is ready, that there was only a "Send" button which would put the report in a temporary folder in a Content Store (Oracle Content DB). We would like to achieve that without the user having to input the destination of the file, like with a WebDAV or FTP. So we need to customize XMLP to remove the "Schedule" button and change the behavior of the "Send" button.
We would also need to be able to send the context of the creation of the report in order to be able to store it at the right place in the Content Store. In order to do that, we would pass an Id by a query string in the URL when calling the report. I know this information is stored in the XMLP_SCHEDULER_JOB table in the DELIVERY_PARAMETERS field so it must be accessible in the app as well. A BPEL process would be used to move the document to the right place.
    So, 2 questions:
    - Is it possible to change the behavior of the "Send" button? Has anybody done that?
    - How can we save the context of the execution of a report to a file at the same time we are generating the report? (parameters used, template used, etc.)
Any clue, hint or helpful thought would be very appreciated!
    Thanks!
    Pierre-Yves

    Hi MadhuSudan,
I couldn't find the EBS Delivery you are refering about. Is this something using the Concurrent Manager from EBS? If so, this is not what I am trying to do. I really want to give access to XML Publisher and save the output report the user has made with the parameters he used to create it in order to store it in a content store. XMLP will be accessed by EBS and Siebel through a URL.
I am curious to look at your java program and shellscript, could you send me a link to the URL where I can find the information you were refering to?
    Thanks!

    hi all,
i've solved the problem by cleanly remove .profile under oracle login directory. not sure whether OUI refers this file during installation. in the new installation, i also use two UNIX users, one for infra tier, another for apps tier. this time, there is no single error reported.

  • Can we use WebCenter Sites content store in WebCenter Portal

    Hi,
Can we use WebCenter Sites Content Store as the default content store in WebCenter Portal?
I need to create website in WebCenter Sites, all the content will be stored in Sites Content Store. I also need to integrate WebCenter Portal with Sites content store to fetch contents from the store and display it in Portal. I do not wish to purchase WebCenter Content.
    Is this possible?
    Regards,
    Syed Rehan Shah

Well , as suggested by jiri machotka, you can go for version 11.1.1.8.0 version with proper license.
However,if you are using earlier versions than I must say that-
It's going to be very very complex and cumbersome development process al-together . (at least for me) .Because why I am telling this is -
The content repository structure of (webcenter site's CA server )is completely different from UCM (webcenter content server and preferred cms for portal).
In previous threads ,lot of things are being discussed about this issue.
In my opinion, you can very well integrate sites content to portal pages via REST API. Documentation is available.
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E29495_01/doc.1111/webcenter_sites_11gr1_wem_rest_api_resource_ref.pdf
Apart from it, you can also do -
    1. Gadgets - You can consume Gadgets from WebCenter Portal, some examples with Google Gadgets are available in OTN.
    2. Widgets - You can build HMTL + Javascript widgets with Sites and embed in WebCenter Portal pages.
Hope this info helps you out.

  • Multiple Shared Content Stores in App-V 5

Just wanted to see if it's possible to have a Shared Content Store (SCS) per site when we have an RDS Solution across two connected data centres?
We are planning on implementing the App-V 5.0 client for RDS on the Session Hosts (2012 R2) at both sites and would like the Session Hosts to contact their local SCS, rather than going across the WAN link between sites.
We'll be using System Centre 2012 to provision the content, rather than a dedicated App-V Infrastructure.
    Cheers for now
    Russell

    Hello,
The App-V Client will use the source, defined either by the location from where you added the package or packagesourceroot, as the location for SCS.
I can't say that PackageSourceRoot is supported when used in collaboration with SCCM, but you could test it.
    See this reference for PackageSourceRoot;

  • SAP Content Server Configuration multiple repositories

    Dear Gurus,
We have a content server configured with SAP CRM.
Recently we faced issue with large size of generic object created by user monthly in SAP R/3 (SOFFCONT1 growth )  thus we are considering to use content server for generic object storage.
    Could you please advice?
    1. As far as I know , I can have multiple repositories in content server thus can have my R/3 and CRM repositories in same content server ,  Please correct me , Any importent aspect which should be consider while doing such( except growth recalculation and user load for additional R/3 system).
    2. We are running SAP R/3 from past few years and we have a huge number of generic objects in R/3 database.
Is it possible to migrate existing generic object to content server?
    Thank you

  • Upgrade Distribution Point to Management Point keeping content store

For some reasons i've to install a secondary site at a location where a pull dp already is installed. Because this couldn't be done by simply add the role i first have to delete the dp. The problem is that there is only a low bandwith available and reinstallation
of the dp (as part of the mp) means also redistribution of the complete content (600 packages with about 110GB).
Now my question, is there a way to keep the content store with a kind of validation check only?
Prestaging is no option, because i have to flag all 600 packages and copying the packed files would also be necessary. So this will make no big difference to redistribution.
    Any suggestions?

Just to restate what Torsten said, when you create a pre-stage file, you choose which DP to create it on/from. Thus, for this scenario, you would create the pre-stage package at the DP you are replacing. Thus, it's already on the server and there's nothing
to copy over the WAN. Of course you could copy to another system local to the DP for safe-keeping, but that's up to you.
Also, it is my understanding that as long as you leave the sccmcontentlibrar yin place, then a newly installed DP will pick up this content. This is undocumentedand I've never actually tried it, but it won't hurt to leave the folder there as you perform
the DP removal and addition of the secondary site server components to the system. And as long as you've created the pre-staged package and copied it to another local system, worst case is that you wipe and re-load the system and use the pre-staged package
    file to repopulate the content.

  • SAP Content Server configuration CSADMIN username password

    Hi all.
I am having problems when I try to configure SAP Content Server 6.40 after installation. When I try to run csadmin to set up the content repository, I constantly get this login prompt. I have tried using the default SAPR3 user and password, but I only get access denied. The SAPR3 user exists on my MaxDB 7.6. I have also tried setting AdminSecurity=0 in the ContentServer.ini file, and the login prompt is still displayed.
Does anyone have any idea on what username and password I should use, so that I can try to complete the Content Server config? Also, if you know of any decent guidelines for the content repository configuration, I'd be happy if you provide me with some documentation..
    Thanks!

    </group-class-name>
But where do i have to place the package "my_package"?
If i deploy it as a library, the Visual Administrator can not find my classes.
    I got the following exception:
    Unable to register user store!

  • Content repository configuration to store process orders record in COPA

    Dear Experts ,
i have status ORRQ for my process orders. to save the order records i execute T-code COPA but message comes
" zero  process order stored ".
after investigation it was found that we have to maintain content repository  id in OAC3 for process order object type BUS0001.
OAC0 , OACT  are the t-codes to maintain it in SPRO.
but the problem i dont know how to do it , neither know which module consultant will be able to do that.DMS or netweaver or
    someone else.
    please guide
    regards
    satish
