Context.bind issues

Hello,
I am trying to bind an object to jndi context. Code follows
props.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
props.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL,"t3://localhost:7001");
// bind the datasource to the context ("oracle/thin")
ctx = ctx.createSubcontext("oracle");
ctx.bind("thin", ods);
ods is of type oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleDataSource
When i do this I get following error, any idea?
javax.naming.NamingException [Root exception is java.rmi.RemoteException: oracle.jdbc.pool.OracleCon

  • Context binding error in Dynamic UI element creation

    Hi,
    I am new to Webdynpro. I am trying to build an app for dynamic table data in an ALV,so creating an input field for table name dynamically.
    I am facing a issue while binding the dynamic input field to the dynamically created context node attribute. Hi Vishal,
    Actually, for an input field the node should be with cardinality either 1...1 / 1...n. i.e. at least one element should exist. So you need to pass "is_mandatory = abap_true" while creating node.
    Please modify your code as below
    CALL METHOD lr_root_node_info->add_new_child_node
         EXPORTING
           name                         = 'INPUT'
           is_mandatory = abap_true
           is_multiple                  = abap_false
           is_multiple_selection        = abap_false
    *      is_initialize_lead_selection = abap_false
         RECEIVING
           child_node_info              = lr_input_node_info.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Attachment binding issue in workflow

    Hi All,
    I have used FM 'SAP_WAPI_ATTACHMENT_ADD ' in method of my workflow. Here after executing this FM i m getting id of the attachment for this workitem. But now i need to assign this to  '_Attach_Objects' of workflow container. so please help me for this binding issue. which i need to bind from method to> task to> workflow. so from next step onwards in workflow i will get that attachment.
    Smit Shah

    Hi,
    1) In the T.code SWO1, you have to create a custom method for the BO, there execute that method and check whether it working fine
    2) Then goto  T.code PFTC and Create a Task (Task no. will generate automatically), then call this method and generate the binding
    3) Goto  T.code SWDD and call that Task by assigning that Task no. and assign the binding
    Then test your workflow.
    For the Binding see this [link|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/c8/bfc39b0fc57a49a0291378f8be0cd6/frameset.htm].

  • Dynamic context binding in web dynpro alv

    I use dynamic context binding (see code below to show and edit the ALV table.
    'DB_TABLE' is a tranparent table. It works fine.
    But now this table should be expanded with additional fields which are only known at runtime and could be different from case to case.
    How can I get these fields in the context dynamically?
      DATA:
            rootnode_info TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node_info,
            dyn_node      TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node,
            tablename   TYPE string.
      rootnode_info = wd_context->get_node_info( ).
      tablename = 'DB_TABLE'.
      cl_wd_dynamic_tool=>create_nodeinfo_from_struct(
        parent_info = rootnode_info
        node_name = tablename
        structure_name = tablename
        is_multiple = abap_true ).
      DATA:
            stru_tab TYPE REF TO data.
      FIELD-SYMBOLS: <tab> TYPE table.
      CREATE DATA stru_tab TYPE TABLE OF (tablename).
      ASSIGN stru_tab->* TO <tab>.
      SELECT * FROM (tablename) INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE <tab>.
      dyn_node = wd_context->get_child_node( name = tablename ).
      dyn_node->bind_table( <tab> ).

    You should create a structure dynamically and use this as the context structure. See the coding below, where a structure is created, which contains CARRID and CONNID.
    DATA: node_info type ref to if_wd_context_node_info,
          struct_type TYPE REF TO cl_abap_structdescr,

                     <flight> type sflight.
    * build a structure description from the list of single fields
      comp-name = 'CARRID'.
      comp-type ?= cl_abap_datadescr=>describe_by_name( 'S_CARR_ID' ).
      APPEND comp TO comp_tab.
      comp-name = 'CONNID'.
      comp-type ?= cl_abap_datadescr=>describe_by_name( 'S_CONN_ID' ).
      APPEND comp TO comp_tab.
    * note this structure contains the fields "CONNID" and "CARRID"
      struct_type = cl_abap_structdescr=>create( comp_tab ).
    * now the nodeinfo is created
      node_info = wd_context->get_node_info( ).

        IS_MULTIPLE                  = ABAP_true
        STATIC_ELEMENT_RTTI          = struct_type
        IS_STATIC                    = ABAP_false
    * fill new node;
      data: l_node type ref to if_wd_context_node,
            l_flight type STANDARD TABLE OF sflight.
      l_node = wd_context->get_child_node( 'MY_NODE' ).

  • Context Binding is not possible in webdynpro component for Interactive form

    Hi,
    Click

    Can you please tell me that why i am getting the context menu nodes in invisible mode while binding it to from interface.
    Thank you,
    Swetha.C

    Hi Abhil,
    If your layout type is 'ZCI Layout' then you have insert the webdynpro script in the layout. After selecting the ZCI Layout click on enter and then go to layout tab, in this go to Utilities menu->select Insert WebDynpro Script.
    If you do this then in the Hierarchy tab of adobe form you can see the (Variable) ContainerFoundation_JS, it means that you have inserted WebDypro Script in the form.
    Finally activate the form and run the application.
    Thanks,

  • A data-binding issue with a combo box.

    Hi,
    Iu2019m having a data-binding issue with a combo box.  The field it is bound to is an integer.  The valid values in the combo box are 1, 2, and 3.  If I add a record when it is set to 1 or 2, the value gets stored correctly.  If I add a record when it is set to 3, it is stored as 1.  However, I can bring up the record just added on the form, change it to 3, and click u201CUpdateu201D and it is saved correctly as 3.  If I change it so that the valid values are 4, 5, and 6, it saves a 1 regardless of what is selected in the combo box.  It looks like the combo box is correctly bound for updates but not for adds.  The table is a master type UDO.  Any ideas?  Iu2019m somewhat committed to the field being an integer.  I'm using 2007A PL47.
    Thanks,
    Mike
    Edited by: Mike Angelastro on Jul 1, 2009 2:43 PM

    I tried a few things on my own.  The result is that I decided that it was not a good idea to use a combo box bound to an integer (numeric) field.  I donu2019t think the SDK can handle it.  The reason it was an integer field in the first place is that before I changed it to a combo box it was a group of two option buttons.  Option buttons use an integer (numeric) field.  This worked just fine until I added a third option; the SDK didnu2019t handle the third option correctly when adding records.  I thought that using a combo box instead would fix that.  I was wrong; the problem remained.  So I decided to use a character (alphanumeric) field instead.  This works just fine.
    So here is my advice:  Never use option buttons if they need to be bound to the database; a combo box will actually work better when bound to the database.  But use a character (alphanumeric) field.

  • Context binding of property value cannot be resolved. not contain any eleme

    I have a binding of a inputelment to a context element. the context can be empty. when it is empty it throws the error only when i have that binding. I thougt its not interesting for an inputfield to have a value or?
    Following error occurs: The following error text was processed in the system DBW : Adapter error in &VIEW_ELEMENT_TYPE& "ZPM_PROJ" of view "ZPM_MD_PMON.STARTVIEW": Context binding of property VALUE cannot be resolved: Node STARTVIEW.1.PROJ does not contain any elements

    Hi,
    The thing is that you're trying to access node which might be from 0 to 1 or n records (cardinality). And at runtime point you have 0 records with 0 elements. That's why you have problem.
    There might be something wrong with logic how you trying to display some data in your text fields.
    At runtime there is no context element from which system could take values.
    Or you have to change parent node cardinality to 1..1 if that meets logic or review your logic.

    but i am giving the cardinality 1 to 1  for the node it was giving solution..
    why we are giving 1to1 here...?
    i am in confusion what is cardinality & what is selection..?
    can anyone explain me in detail,,,,,
    regards,
    karunakar

    Hi Karunakar,
    Collection Cardinality or Node Cardinality is a set of two values that define the minimum and maximum number of elements that a node may hold at run-time and is represented as 0..1, 1..1, 0..n, 1..n.
    The value on left denotes the minimum number of elements that a node must have at runtime and the value at right denotes the maximum number of elements that a node may have.
    Selection Cardinality is again a set of two values like node cardinality but denotes the number of elements that may be selected at run-time. Selection cardinality must not violate Node collection cardinality i.e. if node cardinality is 0..1 0r 1..1, it is invalid to specify 0..n or 1..n as selection cardinality.
    Pleae check this...

    Main_ORGEH has ORGEH,  the attribute TOP_ORG and the SUpply function GET_MAIN_ORGEH
    ORGEH has PERNR, attribute OBJID and the Supply function GET_ORGEH.
    PERNR has OBJEC structure , attributes PERNR, CALC_AMT, ENAME and supply Function GET_PERNR
    OBJEC has the structure objec strucutre
    Question
    I dont understand why PERNR > Pernr is not being read ? why is it telling me it is empty?
    Any suggestions ?

    The testing Org unit does not have any pernrs , as a result it was not allowing NULL values at the NODE PERNR level ( though NULL VALUE for the PERNR attribute is set).
    On passing some dummy values, the Error is cleared.
    I was even populating the Chief of the Org values as default to avoid NULL Values.

  • Context binding with dropdownbykey

    Hello,
    I am programming my first little application and would like to use the dropdownbyindex or dropdownbykey field.
    The programm is writing some data to the database. For this the context of the fields is binded to a context that is based upon the database structure.
    Without using the dropdown fields everything is working fine.
    When I now want to use the dropdown field I have the "problem" that I think that I should bind the context to node that supplies the options/choices  for the dropdown field. But how can I bind this dropdown field to the context that I want to write to the database also? Or can I only bind to the context with the options and have to read the choice and put it in the context to save while saving the record?
    Hoping not to write to confused,
      Maximilian

    Hi,
    Please see the beow link.
    [Reg Dropdownbyindex|Reg Dropdownbyindex]
    This will give a general idea of Dropdown by Index.
    Actually u only need to do this:
    1) Bind ur dropdown with a context attribute.
    2)Get access to the node_info of the node in which the attribute resides.
    3)Populate the dropdown values as shown in the thread.
    4) In the OnSelect fn of drop down.
    Get vals  selected by user and use them ne where.
    I hope it helps.
    Revert back with issues.
    Regards,
    Sumit

  • 10.5.5 does NOT fix AD login/binding issues! I've had it!

    I've really had it. No more binding to AD with ANY of our new Macs. I'm sick and tired of wasting time trying to figure out why, after a successful bind and network login, AD logins will REFUSE to work on just about every 10.5 machine I set up. Today, brand new install. I logged in 3 times as the user, no problem. Machine sits for 2 hours, she goes to log in and won't do it. I rebooted, unbound, re-bound, deleted Directory Services prefs, you name it. IT DOES NOT WORK.
    So, thank you Apple engineers for failing to fix this for the 5th time in less than a year - regardless of what is claimed in the README notes on 10.5-10.5.5. I'm done. If it weren't for Apple forcing us to use 10.5 on all new machines, we wouldn't waste a penny on upgrading. This worked virtually without issue in 10.4 and now it's apparently permanently broken.

    It depends on what you have defined in your AD server, but the defaults (uniqueID for Map UID to attribute, primaryGroupID for Map user GID to attribute, and gidNumber for Map group GID to attribute) should probably suffice assuming it was working properly in our environment. It's not strictly necessary to have these enabled, so we don't enable them at this time. Better integrated into the domain than not.
    Can you post portions of your /Library/Logs/DirectoryService/DirectoryService.error.log and /Library/Logs/DirectoryService/DirectoryService.server.log files from times where you tried to authenticate unsuccessfully? There are timestamps in the beginning of each line. A bit of context before and after a failure would be useful.
