Context menu of adf tree not working properly in firefox

hi all,
I am creating a context menu using the context facet in <adf:tree>. Everything is working fine in both chrome and ie but the issue is with firefox.It's opening up the browser window and rarely showing up the context menu
Any help would be appreciated.
Here is the code
<af:tree value="#{bindings.FormSectionsView1.treeModel}" var="node"
selectionListener="#{bindings.FormSectionsView1.treeModel.makeCurrent}"
rowSelection="single" id="t1">
<f:facet name="nodeStamp">
<af:outputText value="#{node}" id="ot1"/>
</f:facet>
<f:facet name="contextMenu">
<af:popup childCreation="deferred" autoCancel="disabled" id="p1">
<af:menu text="menu 1" id="m2">
<af:commandMenuItem text="commandMenuItem 1" id="cmi1"/>
<af:commandMenuItem text="commandMenuItem 2" id="cmi2"/>
</af:menu>
</af:popup>
</f:facet>
</af:tree>
Thanks,
Raj

Raj,
Welcome to OTN. Always mention your JDev version (read through this announcement : https://forums.oracle.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=56 )
Try running the tree demo in your browser and see if it works fine (Right click on any node to bring up the context menu).

  • Gasbuddy web site not working properly with firefox, but working fine with explorer

    I've noticed when I load the web site gasbuddy.com, it is not working properly. It does load, just not performing like it should. When I try using gasbuddy.com on explorer 9, it works fine. I've already tried working in safe mode and that didn't solve the problem with gasbudy.com. Any suggestions as to how to fix the problem? I did do some prior investigating, and I'm very cautious about removing my cookies. It seems when I do that procedure, I lose too much info on certain web sites----weather.com, weatherunderground, etc. Just not sure how to remove cookies to solve a problem with out causing other problems? Thank you.

    I'm glad we were able to figure it out. Many sites are designed with stretchy columns that work with either full zoom or text-only zoom, but definitely not all of them.

  • Why are flash games not working properly on Firefox, while they work perfectly on other browsers?

    I own a MacBook os x 10.5.8 Intel core duo.
    My problem started a few weeks ago, I tried playing a flash game, first it came up that i didnt have flash, which I did, so I ran an update but I already had the latest version.
    I gave up on the games on that page and went to newgrounds.com, but turns out everytime I try to play a game the controls wont work properly on any game.
    I thought it might be my flash, so I went to chrome and played the same game, no problems, to opera, no problems, to safari also no problems. So the problem is my firefox and the flash plug in? I already uninstalled it and re installed it, downloaded it again and followed every piece of advice I could find about this, nothing works.
    I appreciate some help with this matter, I like working with firefox, wouldnt want to change to other browsers.

    Hi gorgonzola357, there are some platform-specific differences between Windows 7 and MacOSX that may be relevant.
    Have you tried disabling the new protected mode in Flash 11.3, since that feature is currently being debugged? See this support article from Adobe under the heading "Last Resort": [http://forums.adobe.com/message/4468493 Adobe Forums: How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?]

  • File Export menu in CS6 does not work properly?

    Two main issues:
    1. If I downsample a 96kHz audio file to 44k1 for example I have the option to impose an anti-alias low-pass brickwall filter in the export path or not. This is a good idea. However as implemented in the Audition CS6 system we have, Adobe has the tick-box configured incorrectly. With the box ticked the filter is switched out, and with the box unticked the filter is switched in. This should be debugged and fixed. It makes me worry that other configurations might be wrong.
    2. The defaults for the implementation of dither in the export of a file are inconsistent. The default should be that whenever audio data are changed by any processing, dither is applied in the exported file. This is inconsistent in Audition CS6 on our system and we have to go through all the setup for each export.

    Thanks Steve.
    I agree about the quality of Audition's sample-rate conversion. It is very good indeed and one reason we bought Audition. I also agree about the perverse logic of Audition having a tick in the box to turn the low-pass filter off, rather than on. This is is counter-intuitive, even if the excuse is that it is how it has always been historically in Audition or maybe even CoolEdit (which I have never used). Maybe Adobe could consider retitling this function so the logic is more obvious to newcomers. The riddle of how to combine requirements for 96k/24 high-res masters for one market with the needs for 44k1/16 delivery for CD, downloads and streamers remains a riddle if we are not to make our 44k1/16 masters (the main market) sound inferior to having made them 88k2 or 44k1 originally.
    As for dither. My experience has been that one stage of unintended truncation does typically approximately five to ten times as much damage (irreparably) to a clean recording as does one stage of unintended dithering. I am only talking about default settings which can or should be easily overridden either in 'settings' or 'preferences' somewhere within Audition, or overridden on any single or multiple instance of exporting. The mathematics are against you on this one. If you have a 96k/24 original file and want to export a straight 96k16 file or 44k1/24 or 44k1/16 version, for me dither is obligatory. The same if you are exporting a 96k/24 file after processing. Whatever happens next. If you are exporting 96k/32 then maybe, I stress maybe, no dither is ok. Otherwise you get truncation errors, with a shower of unwanted side-effects and squeaks. That is one problem with digits rather than analogue. With digits you don't get extra random relatively benign noise with repeated undithered generations of copying, processing, transfers. The artefacts are much better described as errors and they are a shower of correlated noises. They are programme related, clock related or a combination of both so the ear is much more likely to pick them out as something less benign than two bits of pk-pk flat dither.
    I understand the effects may depend on the programme material, but even two bits of pk-pk flat dither of a 16bit stream is typically 16dB to 20dB below the broadband background noise of a classical chamber music recording in a typical real-world venue. With commercial music the dynamic range tends to be compressed, so the dither will be even less perceptiable because there are fewer extended quiet sections of programme. I would prefer the effective noise level to increase by even a dB or so, if the alternative is gradually making a violin sound more and more like breaking glass from the effects of truncation.
    We have been doing listening tests on dither in association with the development of new high-res delivery products. It has been interesting that no listeners detected dither as a noise 'problem' during any of the tests - even when we tried adding a lot more than 2bits' worth. In general either one noticed no change or a slight improvement subjectively with more than 2bits' worth of dither. The only negative thing we detected was that adding multiple layers of so-called random dither sometimes brought attention to the fact that it was sometimes not quite as 'random' as it should be.

  • My JQuery/CSS is not working properly in Firefox on the first load. After hitting refresh, it works fine.

    I am a very amateur web designer, who is also very new to CSS, so please be gentle…
    I am having a very frustrating issue with Firefox. My website is designed so that when my main menu navigation bar is too long for the screen, it automatically converts into a drop down menu. Naturally, this function is to better serve mobile and tablet devices.
    This feature works perfectly on every browser except for Firefox. With Firefox, my main navigation menu bar is converted to a drop down menu, even though I am viewing it on a standard laptop, not a tablet or mobile device.
    AND, as soon as I refresh the page, it displays just fine. And, as long as I don’t clear my history or cache, it will continue to display just fine.
    Not a “huge” deal, but super annoying that new visitors to my site who are using Firefox get this experience as their first experience.
    I have studied my CSS code for hours, searched through countless numbers of CSS forums for help, tweaked every bit of code I thought was relevant, and I am completely baffled.
    I do realize that a simple JQuery is what tests the menu size, so it's probably something wrong there? Or maybe there is some sort of overstack issue occurring? Maybe not. Who knows – as I say, I am an amateur.
    If anyone could look at my code and give me some help, I would be very appreciative.
    My website is http://mikerylander.com
    Thanks!
    PS: This is the first time I’ve not been able to solve a CSS or HTML problem on my own, so hopefully the answer isn’t something ridiculously easy.

    I see the menu when the browser window is wider than about 1180px.<br />
    If the window is smaller than I get the menu button.<br />
    In Google Chrome this works the same.

  • Hotmail will not work properly in Firefox 18

    I have firefox 18 and for no apparent reason hotmail no longer works the way it should. Worked perfectly fine before I went to bed 9 hours ago last night.The page loads I can check boxes, but I can not open up emails or delete, new email, forward any of that stuff. Other than installing some windows updates last night I have not made any changes to my computer that should be effecting this. It works fine in Chrome so this is something on Mozilla's end. I've looked through older posts about this and none of the solutions worked. I uninstalled fox it reader, added hotmail,live,passport, all of that to my "allowed" list in the security, checked/unchecked the box the content/JavaScript place.
    DO NOT post any comments about how stupid or slow hotmail is. I've had this same account for almost 10 years now and I'm not creating a whole new email. If your not going to post anything useful or informative, than do not post at all!

  • ITunes not working properly after Firefox upgrade. What is corrective measure?

    iTunes "store" indicates error #42403. It does not load. However, radio does work. This seemed to happen after I upgraded Firefox.

    Here's an update:
    1. The fan problem had to do with WindowsXP (new installation and/or drivers). The fan would simply not obey the Battery Optimized Cooling Method, and would work at full throttle all the time. Since i could not pinpoint the problem, i decided to use Acronis True Image Corporate Workstation to create an exact copy of my old configuration and HD contents, re-installed that, and that resolved the fan problem.
    2. Concerning the new 80GB 5400rpm 16mb hard disk, well, it is very noisy compared to the original Fujitsu HD the laptop had. I decided to return it next day, and got a Hitachi Travelstar 80GN instead (80GB 4200 rpm 8mb) which is very quiet, just like the Fujitsu 40GB one.

  • Portal not working properly in Firefox browser

    Hi,
    Portlets are displaying widely across the browser and getting horizontal scroll bar in Mozilla firefox browser. If refreshing the browser for few times its get adjusted.
    everything work fine in IE and portal doesn't have horizontal scroll bar
    awaiting for reply
    Anand

    This is probably because you are note getting all of the HTML. You are probably having network performance problems.
    Firefox is not as forgiving as IE when it comes to incomplete HTML tags. If you don't have a closing <TABLE> tag in your HTML, IE will try to figure out what the HTML's author intended. Firefox will simply ignore it. Since the <TABLE> tags which tell the portlets to line up in nice columns are some of the last <TABLE> tags to be closed in the portal page HTML, this is probably why Firefox doesn't render the other columns.

  • My web email page does not work properly with Firefox 4

    Parts of the screen do not allow links to be accessed, such as folders, making it very difficult to navigate the site. This was not an issue with the older version of Firefox and is not a problem when I use IE8. The site is Ajax.

    If you click on the "down" arrow in the Google search box and then move your cursor to the desired term in search history while still left-clicking on your mouse, and then hold the cursor over the desired search term for a couple of seconds, it works.
    Clearly a bug that I hope they will fix.

  • 27xi and web printing is not working properly with Firefox

    I just bought this HP 27xi monitor at Costco and thinking about buying another soon.
    I use Firefox and went to print this page on the web that I have printed before using my HP desktop and smaller HP monitor and had no problems. Last night I try to print up the same page and it is a wide mess. I try using the shrink to fit. I try lowering to below 50% and then the information moves from row to row so it makes no sense.
    I was told by Costo Consierge that I need to try another browser like Internet Explorer to see if that helps. My Firefox is up to date. My MS OS Win & Pro is up to date. My MS Office 2013 is up to date and just recently reinstalled. I have installed the proper driver for this monitor and made sure it was up to date from HP site. My printer is newer HP 8600 and it's drivers are up to date. I checked all my drivers for my CPU and they are all up to date.
    So are there no good drivers for this monitor for Firefox and Win 7 Pro and will I have to revert back to IE?
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    I was able to track down someone who pointed me in the right direction. The problem is that Firefox doesn't come with the right drivers for this monitor. So I went to Mozilla and found a plug in that worked.  What you should be looking for is a What You See Is What You Get or WYSIWYG editor. So plug that term in at Mozilla site and up will pop up a few of  these editors. I used the  Xinha one which was the most popular one downloaded.
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/collections/nfroidure/wysiwyg/
    I don't have to go back to IE now even though Costco concierge recommended I do that. How lame is that? The guy at the Costco store knew more than the tech support crew.
    I love this monitor and plan to buy another and another cpu but would NEVER ever buy direct from HP again with only 20 day return policy. Will be buying a Dell 8700 with Win 7 Pro from Costco since none of the HP machines have 7 Pro on them. Today MS announced they will offer Win8 upgrades for free with Bing strings. They now can only give it away since no one wants it.

  • I am developing a program to type Assamese alphabets. It is working fine in Chrome and IE. But it is not working properly in Firefox.

    i am writing a program in jQuery to type Assamese language. I have made a function which is executed on each keyup. The function take the keycode and then display the Assamese alphabet based on Unicode decimal number assigned against the keycode in a array.
    Example -----------
    if I type '''B''' the output should be '''ব'''. It is displaying correctly in FF.
    Now if I type '''BI''' the output should be '''বি'''. It is working perfectly in Chrome and IE. But FF is displaying '''ব ি''' . It is wrong.

    Do you see any errors in the Web Developer > Error Console (Ctrl+Shift+J) about this?<br />
    I assume that you use the latest jQuery code to avoid incompatibility issues with Firefox?

    Question E-Quake no longer shows the mag and location at the bottom right corner of my page...Firefox just updated itself a week ago to 9.0.1.... ...I think it still shakes the page though, but is not showing the info...

    Why not go straight to Control Panel>Windows Update? There is no need to use either Firefox or Internet Explorer.
    If I were you I would update to at least IE9.
    I'm using IE View 1.5.6 with IE 10 without problems.
