Control file not found

Post Author: vmt
CA Forum: General
I have a report that is written in Crystal Reports 8.5  It gets data from a SQL Server and compiled using Crystal Reports Compile and Distribution Utility (SCR8_distr_expert.EXE) ;
I am successfully able to run the executable when copied to my local drive but not as a link when it is copied to a virtual drive on a apache web server or infact any web server. We receive 'Crystal Report Runtime Error' popup box with a message 'Control file cannot be found';
Does anyone know a fix for this?
Thank you.

METALINK your best firend :)
the problem was I choose a wrong backuppiece. Command list backup summary shows such a output :
214 Full 145.97G SBT_TAPE 01:04:33 2010-01-27 22:11:40
BP Key: 214 Status: AVAILABLE Compressed: NO Tag: TAG20100127T210705

so I corrected the value and then RMAN restored controlfile correctly.
The only question is why such a strange error message appears :)

  • WVC210 "File Not Found" error in IE9

When attempting to access a WVC210 camera using IE9, I get a "File Not Found" error. I've updated the firmware on the camera to V1.1.1.15, and have reset the camera to factory defaults.  Under "Downloaded controls" in IE, it indicates that the Linksys210Viewer Control is enabled.  I can assess the camera just fine using Firefox, but not with IE9.

I have had this exact same error on two different cameras. I installed the upgrade from a Windows 7 machinge on camera A. I can access the camera A from Windows 8 (with full functionality), mac and iPhone. But not Windows 7 (IE9). For camera B, I installed the upgrade using my Windows 8 machine. I can access the web interface for camera B from Windows 7, mac and iPhone, but NOT from the machine I installed from.
I believe this is a browser issue, and have not completed the troubleshooting. BUT, this should give you enough information to go into your IE9 and determine what may have changed. If you resolve before me, please post.
    Thanks!

  • Error: file not found

    Hello,
I am using a labview program which already exists. The program
inputs a file ( txt file with some numerical data) and gives the output
file at the required location after performing some calculations to it.
The problem is when I input my file path and run the program it always
gives an error ' file not found'. Please help me.
    Thanks
    Laxmikanth

    Hi Laxmikanth,
Some more info would be helpful. Such as posting a image of your program, which version of labview, platform etc.
that being said if you are literally typing in the filepath that is the most likely source for the error. Is there a browse button visible to the right of the filepath control? If not try right clicking and under the visible menu make sure the browse button is selected. Then click on the browse button and find/select your disk file. Now run the program and see if you get the same error.

  • Hypervisor: Create Standalone Real-Time Application (Error at deploying: File not found)

    Hello,
I am using Hypservisor. With "Build Specifications" in the project explore I want to create a standalone real-time application.
In my first try I only want to print some texts onto the real-time console (HyperTerminal) using the function "RT Debug String.vi". I built the real-time application successfully and got the rtexe-file locally on the windows system. But as I tried to deploy the application to the target system, I got the error: "File not found". Please check the attached file "error.txt" for details.
I don't understand which file is not found. Or I used "\" as path separators. Is it wrong? I'd appreciate if you'd have any idea of the problem. Thank you very much.

    Hello Casey,
Thank you very much for your reply and your interest in our project. We are using Real-Time Hypervisor for the setup of our test stand. We use the Windows system to show the GUI and the Real-Time system for the real-time machine control and online data storage. We use shared variables and shared memory for the data exchange between the two systems.
The system works generally quite fine now. But we still have to face new problems at each step forwards. I'm sure, I'll have more questions. I'd appreciate your advices. Thanks sincerely.

  • "file not found" for most recordings on GB

    Hello,
I've used GB to record podcasts over the past few months and each time something very troubling eventually happens: I open the file several weeks later and am told that the track onto which I recorded cannot be found.
I tend to save my GB files on an external harddrive but given that I am new to the software, I haven't paid a lot of attention to where the program might save the media.
The files that are missing are usually .aif files. I have done several searches in to try and find the missing files but with no luck. The GB files themselves are saved in the automatic My Garageband Files folder.
I don't understand why the "file not found" issue only arises after a few weeks or months of not touching Garage Band. Any idea of how I can find these tracks? Or are they lost forever?
Any help would be so appreciated.

I'm a little confused by your question. You say you are saving GB files on an external drive, yet the GB files themselves are in your My GB Files folder. In any case, here are some things you can try:
Moving forward, when you save to an external drive, select Save As and choose "Archive Project." That should keep all audio files with the project and may solve everything.
If there is a GB file on your internal drive, double click on that and see if everything is fine (in other words, this assumes the same file is on your internal drive complete, and on an external drive incomplete).
If there is a GB file on your internal drive, or anywhere for that matter, control click on it, select Show Package Contents, and look in the media folder. All your audio files should be in there (and therefore recoverable).
If you are still having problems, try recording, saving, and working with your projects on your internal drive (and backing them up to an external drive in the Finder).

  • File not found: Title

I created a custom web part that I have deployed, but when I tried to add it to my web parts page, I first got the error that the said
"a web part or web form control on this page cannot be displayed or imported. the type is not registered as safe". To resolve this, I added the assembly to the web.config file and that seems to have addressed that issue.
However, now when I try to add the web part, am getting the error that says
"File not found: Title". I have not been able to find any post that addresses this. Does anyone have a clue why this is occuring and what I can do to get past this?
    Thanks.
UPDATE: This is Sharepoint 2010. Also all am getting on ULS is
Attemping to add webpart id 0819E2D6-F950-4634-B04B-AD9C19DE4038 to web http://local.mysite.
Adding web part calling SPRequest::AddWebPartToList.  Web part id 0819E2D6-F950-4634-B04B-AD9C19DE4038, web http://local.mysite.

    Hello,
IT seems something is wrong with your webpart. You first need to delete webpart from page by adding  "?contents=1" at the end of the URL of respective page and SharePoint will open the Web Part Maintenance Page for it. For example: if page url is
    http://test/default.aspx then use
    http://test/default.aspx?contents=1
Then try to add your webpart again. If still face issue then delete again and uninstall your webpart. Then rebuild your package and create WSP. Finally use powershell to deploy WSP.
    Hope it could help

  • File not found question

I'm an experienced web designer, but new to Dreamweaver CS4,
and am having a problem with a fundamental task: when I export a
table from FW to DW, then try to edit the table from DW, I keep
getting the "File not found" message. I've performed this task
successfully hundreds of times, but now in CS4 I can't put my
finger on my error. I'm using Document relative links, and editing
from the original png. When I navigate to the correct source, edit,
then save, all the images get dumped in the folder at the same
level in the directory as the DW html page. I checked my FW export
settings and the path to the images folder is correctly defined.
After clicking "Done" in FW, control is given back to DW, and the
html page displays without the table.
Feeling kind of desperate...and foolish. Searches on "File
not found" are fruitless. Any help would be greatly
    appreciated.

    http://homepage.mac.com/jeannebullard/Sites/UMarkTestSite29/PaintMarkers.html is definitely not there.
But http://homepage.mac.com/jeannebullard/Sites/UMarkTestSite29/PaintMarkers.htm is there. So, in this case, you need to remove the l from your link.
But, the marker images on that page are linked to your local computer:
    file:///Macintosh%20HD/Users/ ... /June%2027/14/A10%20Page
Which indicates that you were not linking to files within the folders as defined for that site. Which is quite likely, given that it is a completely different path than given in your previous post.
Have you actually defined a site in DW?
And I am a little bit suspicious about that link anyway. Is "June 27/14/A10 Page" a folder or a file?

  • Error 1311, Source file not found, measurementstudio5.cab

I'm installing Measurement Studio for Visual Studio 6.0 and I encounter: Error 1311 Source file not found, measurementstudio5.cab
    Any ideas?

    Hello David,
I am also experiencing an Error 1311, but during the install of LabVIEW 2012 and 2013 (64-Bit).
    Win7 x64, Acer laptop.
    First problem I encounter is:
After putting in my info and agreeing to the licence agreements, the first error pops up says the followign:
    NI LabVIEW Run-Time Engine 2011 SP1:
Error 1310.  Error writing to file: Crogram Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\Plugins\LV2011ActiveXcontrol.dll.  Verify that you have access to that directory.
    Options: Abort/Retry/Ignore
    Things I've tried:
Retry button--never get's past the error.
Uninstalling Internet Explorer and restarting--Still assumes that it's there, and error remains.
Reinstalling updated Internet Explorer and restarting -- no change.
Checking the directory file and verifying that permissions for every user and System is set to full control -- No change.
The only way to get past this error seems to be to press the Ignore button.
A few moments after ignoring the first error, another error pops up.  It says:
    NI Labview Run-Time Engine 2011 SP1:
Error 1311.  Source file not found: C:\Users\[my U/N]\Desktop\National Instruments Downloads\LabVIEW 64-bit\2013\Products\LabVIEWruntime_mft.cab.    Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
    Options: Retry/Cancel
    Things I've tried:
Verifying that the file exists (it does) and that I have access to it (I do) and checking the permissions to verify full control --no changes.
    Retry -- does nothing.
Cacel --aborts the installation and indicates instal failure.
Can you help me with this?  I've installed LV on two other computers and they worked fine, but my laptop simply doesn't want to take the install.
    Thank you in advance,
    Thomas

  • File not found error when checking file into SCC

I am attempting to setup the built in source code control features in Labview 7.0. I set up the master directory and my working directory. I copied the project I was working on into my working directory and opened the top level V.I.. I was able to successfully add it to the SCC. Then I was able to check it out and modify it. However when I check it back in I get the following error:
Error 7 occurred at Invoke Node in Version Control CIN.vi->SCC Enter Change Comments.vi->Builtin SCC Checkin.vi->Builtin SCC Checkin GUI.vi->Check In.vi
    Possible reason(s):
LabVIEW: File not found. The file might have been moved or deleted, or the file path might be incorrectly formatted for the operating system. For example, use
\ as path separators on Windows, : on Mac OS, and / on UNIX.
    NI-488: Non-existent board.
The path for my master directory is C:\temp\TestSCC and the path for the working directory is C:\temp\LVWD. I am able to undo check out, but I cannot check it back in with out getting this error.
    I am using Windows 2000 5.00.125
    Can anyone help?
    Josh

There are some strange things that occur with the SCC. See the following posting and the comment from NI which suggests to clear the revision history.
    http://exchange.ni.com/servlet/ProcessRequest?RHIVEID=101&RPAGEID=135&HOID=506500000008000000FEE20000&UCATEGORY_0=_49_%24_6_&UCATEGORY_S=0&USEARCHCONTEXT_QUESTION_0=Error+7+SCC&USEARCHCONTEXT_QUESTION_S=0
If the link doesn't work search on terms Error 7 and SCC it will be one of the first ones.
See also DevZone article titled: "LabVIEW 6.1 Source Code Control Doesn't Recognize Local Changes when Revision History is Used"
I found that the same thing still ccurred in LabVIEW 7. Not sure about LabVIEW 7.1

When trying to launch ITunes I get an error message saying that application fail to start because MSVCR80.dll file not found. Reinstalling app may fix problem.

I've just (finally) managed to fix this problem today. I checked the Apple Support forums, and it seems a lot of people are having the same problem.
I rang the Apple Support line, and the very helpful man (thanks Alan!) talked me through it stage by stage. If you go to the following page on the internet: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5376   it takes you through the process. WARNING - it takes a little time!
Basically, the first thing you have to do is go to your Program Files and double click on your iTunes folder. There'll be a number of files with the suffix .dll - you need to move all the .dll files from that folder to your desktop - you can simply click and drag them on the desktop..
Next, uninstall iTunes - go to Control Panel / Add/Rempve Programs and when the list comes up remove iTunes. This will take a few minutes... Then reboot your computer.
Next, go back to Control Panel / Add Remove and Remove - IN THIS ORDER -
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
    Reboot again!
Next, check in your Program Files that the iTunes folder is completely gone - if it has, great: if it hasn't, right-click on the folder and press Shift and Delete - it will say "Are you sure you want to completely remove the folder "iTunes"? Click on "Yes".
    Reboot!
Then go to the iTunes download page and voila! It should download iTunes without any problems... well it did for me.... Good luck!

  • Cferror won't catch file not found

I am using Ben Forte's example cferror system to track errors
on our site. I was testing it and ran into a problem. I setup this
    link as a test case:
    <a href="errors/testerror.cfm">
    Test the error tracking system
    </a>
This file testerror.cfm does not exist. This generates a
normal cold fusion error page stating that the template is missing
but its is supposed to go to my cferror page. Clearly the parser
has trapped the error. Why can't I get control.
I tried to surround the link with a <cftry> and a
    <cfexception type="COM.Allaire.ColdFusion.HTTPFileNotFound" also
    with no joy.
We use coldfusion 7 and have a site that while constantly
being updated is also somwhat mature. By this I mean that most of
our errors are not cfml errors they are file not found errors when
someone uploads new versions of documents with new names. We at
times have to chase multiple links to these files. I desperately
want to capture this information and also want to eliminate the
scary messages on our user's screens.
Here are the lines I put in our application.cfm

If you have access to your web server and are running it on
IIS here's a simple and robust solution for providing custom 404
    pages.
On your web server open IIS and go to the Custom Errors tab.
Point the 404 error to your page.
Next go to the Home Directory tab and click on the
Configuration button. Then click on your application extensions and
check the box that says Verify File Exists.
Done and done. Now go to the pub and congratulate yourself on
your new mastery of the 404 error.

  • Jws source file not found (Java client proxy)

    Hi,
I created a web service in Workshop, and generated a Java proxy from it using the test console. I then wrote a stand-alone Java client to invoke an operation on the web service based on the workshop examples. I'm able to first get the service proxy fine.
    MyService_Impl proxy = new MyService_Impl("http://localhost:7001/MyProcesses/MyService.jws?WSDL=");
    Then, the following line fails.
    MyServiceSoap soapProxy = proxy.getMyServiceSoap();
Error is a SoapFaultException with message "Source file MyService.jws not found". I don't know where it's looking for the file to begin with. Is there a place where I can control that?
When I look at the WSDL in the workshop test browser, the soap:address location URL is different from the actual URL in the test browser address bar.
I'm new to this stuff. Any ideas will help.
    Thanks

    hello folks,
I have Windows XP home Firefox v1.0.6.
removed old java in Add/Remove programs.
cleared the "Temporary Internet Files" folder that contained C:\Documents and Settings\Greg\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5.
tried to load jre-1_5_0_04-windows-i586-p-iftw.exe for the third time, and the install still hangs up.
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update Installer Information : Error 1311. Scource file not found: C:\Documents and Settings\Greg\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\2XFKL4VY\je150000[1].cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
    and,
Error 1311. Scource file not found: C:\Documents and Settings\Greg\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\EEIDPHGA\jp150040[1].cab. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.
here's the thing, I cannot surf to "Content.IE5" folder in my "Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files" folder, but I can plug in the directory in the address bar of Windows Explorer & see the "Content.IE5" folder.
I do not see "je150000[1].cab" or "je150000[1].cab" in there.
Am I using the wrong program to fresh install Java for Firefox in XP?
Is there something wrong with my operating system?
    monitoring this thread.....
    thanx.

  • Avconvert: source file not found

    Hello there,
I searched around here and have found no one get this same error with avconvert (a new command that lets you convert video files in os x lion, the same one used when you right click a video and choose "Encode selected video files"). Whenever I try to do this, convert a video file, I get the same error message: "avconvert: source file not found for source file://localhost/Users/(...) avconvert:failed to create an Export Session. Check setup."
I have tried using this service/command through automator, finder, and terminal, and all return the same error.
I think it's a bug in lion but please someone confirm, and apple fix.
    Regards,
    Firas A.

here we are 4 months (give or take) and 10.7.1 did not provde a fix.  My
"avconvert: failed tocreate an export session. Check setup"
also comes for trying to convert avi files.
Something else that wasn't fully tested before the release of Lion.
I have a DivX account and can't use the player unless I wan't to stare at my desktop with whatever open files and folders that are there, listen to the video but not see it and loose ALL control of everything.  I have to efectivly cut the power to the Mac in order to be able to use it.
