Control on Check Buttons Like "Plannin" Check In - Authorization
Dear All,
Is there any authorization control or status profile which I can assign to the user, so that a user who responsible for the checkin or planning cant press the Loading start button and so on at shipment document.
Looking for the gurus response.
Regards,
Hi,
if you check the profile you can set up (with PFCG) for the transaction VT02N (and I suppose now, it is the same for VT01N) you can see that you can control here for each status if the status can be set or even can be reset with this profile. All you need to do is set up different profiles for you users (and assign them).

Concurrency control for check printing
We are writing a check printing application and would like to know what business rules SAP Business One enforces for concurrency control when check printing:
1) Can two users print checks at the same time?
2) If so, can they print from the same account at the same time?
3) If SAP Business One allows this, what mechanism/logic does it use to ensure that the check numbering will accurately reflect the check forms?
4) Is that mechanism available to developers via the UI API or DI API?
5) If SAP Business One does not allow concurrent check printing from the same account, what mechanism/logic does it use to prevent it?
6) Is that mechanism available to developers via the UI API or DI API?Daniel,
SAP Note 910588 gives a great overview of how check printing in Business One functions. You may want to review that note.

Best Regards. Please post the message in the alert-file as stated.
It can e.g. be that while copying the file permissions have been changed, making the files not readable for the oracle user

ORA-27041: unable to open file

And what does this have to do with database security? -

Where is controls palette search button in 8.20?
This is embarrassing! I rely heavily on the control and function palette search buttons. I updated to 8.20 and my control palette search button disappeared. The function palette search button is in its normal place. I've looked through Help and the Options popup but don't see a way to enable/disable the search button. I need it back!

Not sure how to explain this -
if I'm visiting a website and click on a graphic link, it directs me to a new tab displaying the graphic image I just clicked, rather than the target site. It treats every graphic link (or button) like I'm asking to "view image".
I've tried right clicking to "open link in new tab" - same result.
Sorry I can't explain it any clearer.Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Hi all
I would like to create a customized button as a master so that if I change the look of the master all other buttons will change too.
I have done this with a custom control as a "strict type def" otherwise the look will not change BUT If I do this as a strict type def I cannot change the Boolean text anymore which should be different on every button.
How can I create a master control of a button where the look will be applied to all others but not the Boolean text?

I don't think you can do that. I just looked and as I suspected the Boolean text property is read only for strict typedefs so you cannot use property nodes to change the text.
As a workaround just make it a typedef. When you want to change the look open the typedef and make it strict, make your changes, then make it non strict again. You will have to update the Boolean text again for all instances. Kind of a pain. Maybe this is something for the idea exchange.
Kudos for being sneaky.
I like these creative work-arounds!

How can i check the authorizations for a query in sap bw 3.1c
Hi,
While running one query i am getting warning message is : you do not have authorization to read object ZVERSION and few column results also not displaying.
I would like to check is there any authorization check for this query and could you explain how we use the authorizations in our BW.
Thanks in advance....if you execute su53, the authorization check failed cannot be displayed for reports. because you are executing query in BEx is it?
for this you can trace the userid that executing query to check the authorization check failed. Go to st01 and find out the authorization check failed there.
And you can find in RSRT too. i am not sure that.
One more option is there to check the authorization with help of matrix that you prepared for assigning access/authorization to the users.
Hope this would help you. -
How to create a button like the one pictured here
How would I create a button like the print button below?
I was thinking actually make it two separate buttons placed next to each other. The print button obviously would just be a modified boolean, that's easy. But the drop down is a bit harder. I figure I could customize a drop down but because I haven't been able to play around with it in LabVIEW (don't have it at home) I'm not sure if you can modify the alignment of the box that actually drops down etc. Is the drop down box location and look something you can modify within the control editor?
I'm guessing I could also use .net correct? But I am trying to keep it all with just control modification in LabVIEW if possible. Thanks.

Unlock check printing authorization
I understand that check printing becomes locked on occasion and how to un-lock it. What I am trying to figure out is exactly what authorization is required to do so. I would like to give this authorization to the accounting person as opposed to manager only being the one that unlocks.
Anyone know the authorizations required? Support would not help me.Hi,
Please check Note No. 910588 for functionality description of the lock check printing. It may explain why this happens in the system.
Hope the information is of some help to you.

Check partner authorization field
Hello Gurus,
The check partner authorization field is used to determine which partners are authorized
to release against a contract. Should no check be performed, you may leave the field blank.
where to set this check partner authorization field ?
Many thanks
FrankHi
You have to specify the release partners in the Customer master record of the Sold To. If you want to include the Ship To also as the release partner, then in the partner function tab of customer master specify the partner function as AW and give the customer number of the SH. Like wise you can add any no of SH.
Thanks,
Ravi -
How to check the authorization based on webdynpro application
Hi Experts,
I was asked to develop a webdynpro component with two webdynpro applications, one each for internal party and external party to be used.
So how to restrict or check the authorization based on webdynpro application used?
Do we have any authorization object like S_TCODE for webdynpro application in roles and authorizations?
Please enlighten me.
Regards,
Ajay MatamYou can assign an authorization object to the Web Dynpro Application within SICF -
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/61/d93822a88e15489a9391f309767366/frameset.htm
Of course you could also programatically check which web dynpro application is being used from within the component and then call a custom auth-check. However maintain at the SICF is probably better for visibilty and long term maintenance costs.
