Control when a client is disconnected

Hello:
I am developing a MUS client/server application and I need to know when a client disconnect how to detect and delete from my list in the Server application.
I get "ConnectionProblem" only when the MUS is not run but not when a client disconnect.
Thank you very much.

Thank you Chunick.
I need that every client stay connected about continue five hours to my application and when one or more disconnected not by itself but some error like shutdown PC or other kind of error, to know that and remove from my list in the server.
Another thing that I need is to disconnect to a client when I need it. Can you tell me how, please?

  • How Server will know when some client Get disconnected

    Hi...
    I am devloping a chat application.... there are loats of users. and one user can have many friends in his/her list. and showing in two groups as Online And Offline.
    How Chat Server will know what is the user's Status(online or offline) When the user will get disconnected due to Internet failure
    " Let you are a user having 10 friends, and when you loged in, at that time you have 5 online friends and 5 offline friends. lets after some time one of your online friend get disconnected from server due to any kind of netwrk failuer, then how server will know about it."

    When the server tries to write to the socket and verify that it is OK, then it will return an error.

  • Message server hogs CPU when clients are disconnected

    Hi, I have a problem where java process for the Sun One Message Queue (3.0.1) hogs the cpu when a client is disconnected. I am trying to use the MQ in an environment where clients might crash and try to reconnect in an unpredictable fashion. Most of the time, when I kill the client and restart it, I do not see the problem. Sometimes, however, doing so makes the java process of mq take almsot 100% of Cpu and it does not go down unless i kill the mq process.
    I am using asynchrnous message listeners with transactions, on a persisted queue, although i saw this problem when transaction was disabled.
    Does anyone have any idea what might be the source of the problem? I hope it's just a matter of configuring MQ correctly, but i could figure it out. Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Are you running the enterprise edition and
    using round-robin queues with multiple
    receivers ?
    If so, you may be running into a timing related bug
    in multiple receivers that has been fixed in service
    pack releases of the software
    You should contact sun support to discuss testing with
    the lastest service pack.
    If not, can you provide more information (platform,
    # and type of receivers, etc) on how you are using
    the product
    Thanks

  • Is there a way for internal DHCP Scope to release scope addresses when the wifi client has disconnected?

    DHCP scope is configured on a WLC 5508.
    I'm checking if there' a way for WLC to clear the dhcp leasing when a user is diconnected from wireless?

    Unless the client sends a DHCP Release upon disconnect, which is not mandaded in the protocol, the lease will simply remain until it has expired.  If you're concerned with running out of leases, you only have 2 options.
    1. reduce the lease time of your dhcp scope
    2. increase the network size to accomodate more usable addresses.
    There isn't a way to force a DHCP address lease to be "cleared" from the WLC simply because the client was disconnected.

  • Having issues with my MacBook. Even when the internet is disconnected, apps are still closing and opening on their own. I sometimes do not have control over my cursor.....any suggestions?

    Having issues with my MacBook. Even when the internet is disconnected, apps are still closing and opening on their own. I sometimes do not have control over my cursor.....any suggestions?

    There are several possible causes for this issue. Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried until it's resolved. Some may not be apply in your case.
    1. Follow the instructions in this support article, and also this one, if applicable. A damaged or defective AC adapter could be the cause, even if it's the right kind.
    2. Open the Bluetooth preference pane in System Preferences and delete all pointing devices other than the trackpad, if applicable. Disconnect any USB pointing devices. By a "pointing device," I mean a peripheral that moves the cursor, such as a trackpad, mouse, trackball, or graphics tablet. A plain keyboard is not a pointing device.
    3. Start up in safe mode and test, preferably without launching any third-party applications. If you don't have the problem in safe mode, but it comes back when you restart as usual, stop here and post your results. Do the same if you can't start in safe mode. If there was no difference in safe mode, go on to the next step.
    4. Reset the System Management Controller.
    5. If you're using a Bluetooth trackpad, investigate potential sources of interference, including USB 3 devices.
    6. A swollen battery in a portable computer can impinge on the trackpad from below and cause erratic behavior. If you have trouble clicking the trackpad, this is likely the reason. The battery must be replaced without delay.
    7. Press down all four corners of the trackpad at once and release. If there's any effect, it's likely to be temporary, and the unit needs to be serviced or replaced.
    8. There's a report that a (possibly defective) Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter can cause the built-in trackpad of a MacBook to  behave erratically. If you're using such an adapter, disconnect it and test.
    9. There's also a report of erratic cursor movements caused by an external display that was connected but not turned on.
    10. If none of the above applies, or if you have another reason to think that your computer is being remotely controlled, remove it from the network by turning off Wi-Fi (or your Wi-Fi access point), disconnecting from a Bluetooth network link, and unplugging the Ethernet cable or USB modem, whichever is applicable. If the cursor movements stop at once, you should suspect an intrusion.
    11. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have the machine and/or external trackpad tested.

  • RDS 2012 - Slow Perforamance, random disconnects - The RDP protocol component X.224 detected an error (0) in the protocol stream and the client was disconnected.

    We have an RDS environment configured on server 2012 with approx. 20 users connecting for remote app utilization across 4 different locations that are connected via VPN. Server 2012 has great resources from the virtual host so system resource allocation
    shouldn't be an issue. I'm thinking these errors are correlating with the performance problems. Any recommendations on how to effectively end these errors or to boost performance?

    Hi Shane,
    Do you have any progress at the moment?
    Regarding the TLS error code 49, it indicates a valid certificate was received, but when access control was applied, the sender did not proceed with negotiation.

  • 5508 WLC on 7.4MR2- Clients getting Disconnected using CWA

    We are experiencing an issue with clients getting disconnected/time out from a wlan doing CWA.  The clients are iphones.  A debug client shows the error(Unknown Policy Timeout). This particular WLAN is used for provisioning with ISE. ISE shows the user authenticated the entuire time.  At first, we though it was the user idle timeout setting on the WLAN advanced tab, but after increasing that clients still get disconnected.  The disconnect occurs around 2 minutes.  Sometimes longer around 10 minutes.  Cisco seems to think we are hitting a bug introduced in 7.3.112 and will not be fixed until 8.0.  Below are the bug details and the debug output.  Has anyone seen this?  Any possible work-arounds? Thanks.

  • Unable To Release Control To Students (Clients)

    Hello All,
    I have the same 77 Macs in 3 labs (iMacs, G4s and G5s) all running OS 10.3.9 and ARD Client 2.2. The problem.... Half the time when we unlock a Mac from one of any 7 ARD Admin Macs for a student (client) to use, the screen will unlock, the log on screen appears BUT, the student can NOT move the mouse (cursor) or type in his/her log on ID. We (Admin) will have to double click (control) on the client Mac, double click on the username field, then the student can log in. ARD will not release control to the student half the time. Again, it is not consistent and control is released only half the time. Can anyone assist? Thanks.
    Mike

    Mike, I've had the same problem as you describe. My temporary solution (have yet to call support on this) is to wake the machines first then most will work. Other times I have to remotely restart the machines. Frustraating, John Langlois
    eMac 1.25GHz Lab   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

  • Server Cannot Detect that the Client is disconnected, why?

    From what I've read, in order to make server "know" that a client is disconnected, you have to make server "write" to client socket to eventually catch an ioexception.
    So I write a simple server program and a simple client program. The server "writes" to the client every 10 secs. Now I start the server and client, I can tell on the client side that for about every 10 secs, the client gets the message.
    Now I terminate the client program. The server still keeps writing to the client. It's my understanding that after 1 min or so I should see an ioexception. However, 10 minutes passed and the server still keeps writing...
    Why is this happening? Did I miss something?

    I think it happens because the port is still open
    even after the client is closed.And you should not
    get IOException when you send a packet over a open
    port.Err, no, you should get a SocketException when you send data to a port which has already been closed or reset by the peer.

  • Is there a way for a form field to show a name when the client sees it, but have the name disappear

    My client needs a PDF with fields. It's a letter. They want the areas for the header - names/addresses/company name/date, etc. to be variable, but when THEIR client looks at it, they want them to know what the field is. So they want the field labeled. But when the client then types in the field, they want that label to disappear.
    This one has me stumped! Thanks!

    In a text field, use Options > Default value. The user will have to delete what you write there when entering new text, or you'll get both.

  • How to change the background of the StackPanel control when any child element has focus?

    Hello folks!
    I need to change the background of the StackPanel control when any element within the StackPanel has focus. I am executing the code snippet below. The code works fine with elements within the Grid control named "main". It doesn't work when I focus
    an element within the Grid control named "header".
    <StackPanel x:Name="techReportStackPanel" Width="250" Background="{Binding ColorBrush}" >
    <StackPanel.Style>
    <Style TargetType="{x:Type StackPanel}">
    <Style.Triggers>
    <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding ElementName=techReportStackPanel, Path=IsKeyboardFocusWithin}" Value="True">
    <Setter Property="Background" Value="Gray" />
    <Setter Property="Opacity" Value=".5" />
    </DataTrigger>
    </Style.Triggers>
    </Style>
    </StackPanel.Style>
    <Grid x:Name="header">
    <TextBlock x:Name="headerColumn" Text="{Binding Name}" Style="{StaticResource ColumHeader}"/>
    <Button Visibility="{Binding ElementName=headerColumn, Path=Text, Converter={StaticResource delButtonVisibilityConverter}}" Command="{Binding DelCommand}" Content="x" ToolTip="{l:Translate TechReportDeleteToolTip}"/>
    </Grid>
    <Grid x:Name="main">
    <Grid.ColumnDefinitions>
    <ColumnDefinition Width="*" />
    <ColumnDefinition Width="*" />
    </Grid.ColumnDefinitions>
    <wpftoolkit:WatermarkTextBox Grid.Column="0" Style="{StaticResource OrdinaryTextbox}" Watermark="{l:Translate LengthLabel}" ToolTip="{l:Translate BoreholeSpacingInRow}" Text="{Binding BoreholeSpacingInRow, Mode=TwoWay, UpdateSourceTrigger=PropertyChanged, StringFormat=F2, Converter={StaticResource zeroToEmptyDoubleConverter}}" />

    </Grid>
    </StackPanel>
    Any advice and suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

    >>It doesn't work when I focus an element within the Grid control named "header".
    You mean when the Button in the "header" Grid is focused? A TextBlock is not focusable so when the Button is not visible no element in the "header" Grid will be focused since you only have two elements in the "header" Grid.
    But when the Button is visible it should work. Please refer to the following code:
    <StackPanel x:Name="techReportStackPanel" Width="250" Background="{Binding ColorBrush}" >
    <StackPanel.Style>
    <Style TargetType="{x:Type StackPanel}">
    <Style.Triggers>
    <DataTrigger Binding="{Binding ElementName=techReportStackPanel, Path=IsKeyboardFocusWithin}" Value="True">
    <Setter Property="Background" Value="Gray" />
    <Setter Property="Opacity" Value=".5" />
    </DataTrigger>
    </Style.Triggers>
    </Style>
    </StackPanel.Style>
    <Grid x:Name="header">
    <TextBlock Text="text..."/>
    <Button Visibility="Visible" Content="Button" />
    </Grid>
    <Grid x:Name="main">
    <Grid.ColumnDefinitions>
    <ColumnDefinition Width="*" />
    <ColumnDefinition Width="*" />
    </Grid.ColumnDefinitions>
    <TextBox Grid.Column="0">main grid...</TextBox>
    <TextBox Grid.Column="1">main grid...</TextBox>
    </Grid>
    </StackPanel>
    When the Button is focused the Background colour of the StackPanel is set to Gray as expected.
    If you want to be able to focus the TextBlock you should set its Focusable property to true:
    <Grid x:Name="header">
    <TextBlock Focusable="True" x:Name="headerColumn" Text="{Binding Name}" Style="{StaticResource ColumHeader}"/>
    <Button Visibility="{Binding ElementName=headerColumn, Path=Text, Converter={StaticResource delButtonVisibilityConverter}}" Command="{Binding DelCommand}" Content="x" ToolTip="{l:Translate TechReportDeleteToolTip}"/>
    </Grid>
    Hpoe that helps.

  • Does the iPad ignore the volume control when connected to the Digital AV Adapter?

    Does the iPad ignore the volume control when connected to the Digital AV Adapter?

    The volume limit is preset so yes you are unable to alter the volume on the iPad however you can control the volume on your tv and if you have AirPlay speakers you are able to adjust your volume as well..

  • Is it possible to control when loadView() launches?

    Here is my situation.  I would like to be able to tap on my camera view to dismiss it, but I am having an issue due to when
    UITapGestureRecognizer
    becomes active.
    Background
    When a user presses the camera tab bar button, she is presented with a view with a button on it.  Pressing this button takes her into the camera view.  However, because all of the UITapGestureRecognizer calls are in loadView(), when the user presses the button, the app crashes. The reason it crashes is because the tap is now recognized and is calling a method that only makes sense AFTER the camera view has loaded.
    I have tried placing the UITapGestureRecognizer calls in the method that represents the button used to enter the camera view in an attempt to prevent this. But, that does not work.  The UITapGestureRecognizer calls are ignored.  I am not certain, but probably only loadView() can activate UITapGestureRecognizer.
    Being able to dismiss the camera by tapping would be a great UI feature, but unless I can control when UITapGestureRecognizer becomes active, I will have to resort to a cancel button to dismiss the camera.  This works fine, but IMO, it's tacky.
    If anyone sees error in my thinking, or knows of a hack, please comment away.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for the suggestion.  This is how my files/methods are being launched:

    INTO    tipViewController.m  >   loadView()
      OUT    tipViewController.m  >   loadView()
    main view (tipViewController) is now up
    Press cameraView tab bar button
      get the cameraView with its view button.    Press same  …
    INTO    cameraViewController.m  >   buttonPressed()
    INTO    cameraViewController.m  >   initWithFrame()
      OUT    cameraViewController.m  >   initWithFrame()
    INTO    cameraViewController.m  >   toggelFlashlight()
      OUT    cameraViewController.m  >   toggelFlashlight()
      OUT    cameraViewController.m  >   buttonPressed()
    INTO    cameraViewController.m  >   singleTapDetected()
    Crash!  [cameraViewController   imagePickerControllerDidCancel:]: unrecognized ……
    ==
    Looking at all of this, awakeFromNib() is the first method called, so this would not work either.  I am probably doing this totally incorrectly, but when I press the button to take me into the camera view, the UIGesture calls are already waiting for my taps.  I do not want the UIGesture calls to trigger until I am into the camera view.  The singleTapDetected() method is calling imagePickerControlledDidCancel() which is meant to dismiss the camera, but as we know, this only makes sense if the camera view is up.
    This is getting to be a lot of trouble, which at the end of the day, no one is going to care about save for yours truly.  So, perhaps I should just throw in the towel and leave this for a future upgrade after I get this app into the store.
    I appreciate the help.

    Album overview
    A photo album in iPhoto is just like one you would create with printed photos: It’s a collection of photos you select from your library and arrange in the order you want.
    You can create photo albums to:
    Focus on a particular subject, such as your favorite nature photos
    Group pictures that you want to send to a friend, post on a webpage, or burn to a CD or DVD
    Gather a decade of anniversary photos
    iPhoto has two kinds of photo albums:
    Standard photo albums: You create these albums (B, shown below) by selecting particular photos. You can add new photos by dragging them to the album (or using the Add To button), and you can remove photos at any time. All adding and removing is done manually; iPhoto doesn’t update standard albums automatically as you import new photos.
    Smart Albums: iPhoto creates these albums for you, based on criteria your specify. iPhoto then updates Smart Albums (A, shown above) for you as your library changes. For example, you could create a Smart Album containing:
    Photos of specific people, such as your family members. As you import new photos, iPhoto uses Faces to detect your family members, and automatically adds new photos of them to the Smart Album (after you’ve confirmed the matches in Faces).
    All the photos of your daughter taken on school field trips in third grade. Use Faces (to name your daughter) and keywords (to mark certain photos or events as “field trips”) to help specify the photos you want iPhoto to place in that Smart Album.
    Only photos taken with a specific camera, or photos matching other Exchangeable Image File (EXIF) information.
    You can make as many albums as you like, and you can include the same photo in several albums without making multiple copies of it.
    After you create an album, such as “Australia Adventures,” it appears in your Source list below Albums.
    In full-screen view, the album appears as a stack of photos below Albums.
    To further organize your library, you can group several albums (along with slideshows and projects) into a folder. For example, you could create a folder containing several years of birthday albums or a collection of albums with photos of your camping trips.
    To create a folder, see “Create a folder in the Source list and move items into it” in “Customize the Source list”.
    Folders appear only in the Source list, not in full-screen view.
    Note: A photo album is different from a photo book, which is a collection of photos you create to get professionally printed and bound. See this topic: Photo book overview.
