Controling colors in a JS button

Someone suggested the following JS to create a back button:
<button type='button' target='_parent' onclick='javascript:history.back();' > Back Button </button>
It does work as expected, but I would like the look to match other buttons created in iWeb. I know little about JS, but how do you control colors, shapes, etc. in the above code?
thanks

  • Color of the push button in Forms 6i

    HI,
    I want to change the color of the push button from the default gray color to something else and also the font type. Is it possible? If yes, how to do it ?

    On Microsoft Windows, the colors of buttons, window title bars, and window borders are controlled by the Windows Control Panel color
    settings specified for these elements. You cannot override these colors in Form Builder even by using visual attributes.
    The button color attributes are controlled exclusively by the Color facility in the Control Panel.
    To define button color attributes do the following :
    1. To do this go to 'Settings' + 'control panel'.
    2. Double-click on 'display' and select 'appearance' from the menu .
    3. Select '3D Objects' from the 'item' list .
    4. The background color and the foreground color can be changed to your favourite ones.
    But the important thing to note here is that this will affect all the 3D objects in all the applications in your system .
    Or you can try this workaround if it is suitable. Use a display item with a "Bevel" property of "Raised" and the "Default Value"
    property whatever the label should be. Then attach a WHEN-MOUSE-CLICK trigger to it. You can change the foreground and background colors to whatever you want since it's really just a field.

  • How to get "Selected" color for custom toolbar buttons?

    RH 8.0.2.208
    RoboHelp HTML
    WebHelp output
    I'm getting flack from internal QA folks about the custom toolbar buttons not having the same "selected" color as the default buttons (Contents, Index). I've copied the background color info from the <btnselected></btnselected> section for the built-in Contents to the <btnselected></btnselected> section for a custom toolbar button, but RH is ignoring it.
    Any hints?
    Leon

    You could try using the raw converter. Open one file and edit it (File>Open, pick the image and choose Camera Raw as the format before you click Open). Then open the next image and click the little four-lined square on the upper right side of the ACR window and choose Previous Conversion from the flyout menu.

  • Changing The Text Color In a Radio Button Component

    Hi,
    I'm using a background in my frame , so I need to know how
    to change the color of the Radio Button Component. I tried using
    the Property Inspector , but in that the color option is disabled.
    The Flash version I'm using is Flash 8. Kindly provide me a
    solution for this.
    Thanks In Advance,
    Lokesh R

    There's a topic about this in the Flash help, about changing
    components. You need to edit the file inside your Flash
    installation folder, and make a copy of it to your liking.
    But about radio buttons: is there any way to include them in
    your project while maintaining the possibility of on(Keypress)
    events?

  • Custom control color changes

    I need to change a boolean control color based on certain cases. This is simple, I would normally just wire up a color array to the boolean property node and set the false color to be green, yellow, or red (whichever was needed). However, the control needs to be trapezoid shaped. Is there a way to change the shape of the control without importing images from clipboard? If I copy a custom image from clipboard, it is placed over the boolean control so the properties will be useless (i.e. the user can't see them). What would be best is if I could just take the normal, rectangular boolean images and make select parts of it transparent so it takes on a trapezoid shape. Suggestions?

    Don't we all. Now I am having a problem...again. When I overlay the image, I click the boolean but its not registering for some reason. Am I just brainfarting here? If I click real fast, eventually it gets it. It's set to latch when released and is a type def.

  • No camera or music control on double-tap homescreeb button

    Hello all,
    i have iOS5 5.0.1 on my iPhone 3Gs
    and no camera or music control on double-tap homescreeb button appears ??
    anything idea how to  ?

    When you double tap the home button you get a list of recent apps and if you swipte the right you will get music controls and one more item you will get volume controls. Their is no trick with the home button for camera unless your on the lock screen and double tab the button next to the slider. Also if you upgrade your iPhone with iOS 5.1 then when on the lock screen you can just swipe up to quickly access your camera.

  • Program STB remote control to not illuminate any buttons?

    Is it possible to program the Verizon STB remote control to not illuminate any buttons when the remote is used?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Simple answer is no.  It would be nice as an option since it eats up the batteries and some of the most important buttons (like the number pad) don't have illumination anyway.

  • Controlling Color with Expressions

    Hello,
    How can I control the color of multiple shapes with a color parameter of just one shape?
    Basically, I need to equal the color parameter of one shape with a bunch of others.
    I assume this can only be done with Expressions.
    I'm using AE CS4.
    Thanks!

    If you choose to directly control color with an expression the values must be in an array of 4 values, red, green, blue and alpha  The range is from zero to one. An alpha value of 0 is fully opaque, 1 is transparent. For a red solid you would use this expression:
    [1, 0, 0, 0]
    Blue with 50% opacity:
    [0, 0, 1, .5]
    I hope this helps. There's more info in the help files.

  • How can i control a slider with a button.

    Is it possible to control a slider with a button? It works like a automatic sliding gate. Is it possible? Where when you open the gate, it will slide slowly.. And can anyone help me with this..

    The way this usually works is that I think of a simpler implementation once I click the Submit button...

  • Can't control color sensor in LabView for Mindstorms

    Hello!  New here.
    I'm trying to bone up on LabView via "LabView for Lego Mindstorms" for a possible job in the near future and I've run into a problem early on.
    I'm programming my Lego brick in LabView to simply turn on the color sensor which is easy enough:  I build a while loop and inside that I have a color sensor block connected to a text block which displays light intensity from the sensor in text on the brick.  I compile and run and the sensor turns on and I can read the constantly updating intensity on the brick.  That part works fine.  Now I'd like to control the light sensor (which doubles as a light source with color LEDs) on the LV front panel.  The book I'm using (LabView for Lego Minstorms) says I need to right click the sensor block on the "generate light" input and choose "Create-->Control" from the resulting menu.  A Boolean pushbutton should appear connected to the sensor block in the Block Panel and a push button should appear in the Front Panel.  That's not what happens.  Two things are different here.
    1) I have no "generate light" port to right click on.  This is probably due to using a more up to date version of Mindstorms than the book uses.  That's a book/Mindstorms issue that probably can't be solved here but hopefully solving the next issue will make this one irrelevant.
    2) I right click and create the control, but instead of creating a Boolean push button as the book predicts, it creates a "BrickReference.lvclass" icon.  It connects okay with the light sensor and a corresponding block is created in the Front Panel but it is a paper weight as far as I can tell.  I can't do anything with it.  There is no button to push, no slider, knob, radio button etc. and I can't seem to change it into anything that works in any way.  I delete it and create a no kidding Boolean push button from the library but it won't connect to the light sensor and so I can't compile.  So now I'm a bit stuck.
    I've looked for "Brick Reference" on line in the context of LabView class and have found little or nothing that tells me about its definition or how I can use it to control the light sensor via the Front Panel.  The help section with the software isn't much help either and yet I'm sure there must be a way to control a simple Lego light sensor from the Front Panel for debugging and other purposes.
    If you know what I'm doing wrong or if you know an end run around this issue that will enable me to control a Mindstorms brick from the Front Panel in this way, please let me know.
    Thanks!

  • Custom Color Picker using Radio buttons??

    I'm trying to create a custom color picker as Apex color picker has tooo many colors.  I thought a radio button would work if I could program the text to also display the color, but the following sql shows the formatted text in the result.

    The font element has been deprecated for many years, is now obsolete, and must not be used by authors.
    To control the presentation of text, use a suitable semantic text element with CSS. If no suitable semantic text element exists, use span:
    <span style="color: #00FFFF; font-weight: bold;">Aqua</span>

  • Controlling a symbol from a button inside of the symbol

    I hope this explanation makes sense:
    I have an animate file with buttons on the main stage that control symbols.
    (buttons are circles labeled 1876 and 1877)
    The symbols simply move a png image on and off the stage.
    For example, the two circles labeled 1876 and 1877 are PNG files made into buttons that control two different symbols.
    The symbols move the scoreboard image on and off the stage.
    Within the scoreboard image is an X, that I am hoping to put a button on top of within the symbol to close the symbol.
    The code I am using to move the symbols on and off the stage is:
    var current = sym.getVariable("current");
       if (current != "") {
          sym.getSymbol(current).play("out");
          sym.getSymbol("syboard1876").play("in");
       else {
          sym.getSymbol("syboard1876").play("shortIn");
       sym.setVariable("current", "syboard1876");
    syboard1876 is the green board png.
    Any idea how i can get the symbol to move off of the stage by tapping it?
    And will I be able to have multiple buttons beneath the symbol (that are hidden beneath the b=green board when it is visible)?
    This was the original tutorial I adapted the get the animation to work so far.
    Tutorial: Leveraging Independent Symbol Timelines « Adobe Edge Animate Team Blog
    Now I just need to figure a way to give the user the ability to tap the X to close the symbol.
    Any suggestions?

    you could use $each() with jquery in compositionReady
    if not you need to get back to stage with sym.getComposition().getStage() or
    you could use this in compositionReady
    function useButtons(element) {
    sym.$(element).bind("click",function() {
      sym.$('image').attr('src','images/'+element+'.png').css({"opacity":1.00});  // this is a code example - I used the same name for the buttons and image names.
    // add button names here
    ['', '','' ,'',''].forEach(useButtons);
