Controlling KE2000 with LV7.1

Hi there,
I'd like to do some simple measurements with a Keithley 2000 DMM
through LabView over Serial Port and Im even stuck with this simple
task. I played around with the VISA-Controls and even got some
measurements as I wanted to, however, I get (seemingly) random
timeouts. I tried the sample Programm form the Keithly Website
(VisaReadWrite) and first it worked, and now it's stuck, too. The odd
thing is, that first, the timeout was at the Visa-Read step, and a
little later (after various tries without changing anything) I get a
Timeout at the Write-Step. The Device itself does not show any errors,
turning it off and on again does not working, neither does restarting
LV.
Maybe I just locked up the VISA-Session or something? Any Help would be
appreciated!

Mmmm, I use the Keithley KE2001s all the time but with GPIB. VISA communications can be quirky and confusing at times. Although I'm not very familiar with the serial versions I might be able to give you some insight if you post your code. Without seeing your code I would suspect that there is still some data in the serial buffer causing the timeouts.

I found out I can not input the character # (ASCII code 35) with LV 7:
- on a string control the character is simply not typed
- on the diagram typing # seems to be a shortcut for enabling the grid alignment.
I'm using an italian keyboard.
This issue occurs only with LV7.

Hi Alberto,
A friend of mine was telling me that he had problems with control charaters and LV7. I tried his code and it was fine on my machine. He found a workaround and we never found the source of the mystery.
As for myself, I now see a strange behavior with LV7.
It closes itself while I wire-up a new vi... >(
It happened twice yesterday... -strange-
My LV7 was solid until then...

Start and close PowerPoint 2000 with LV7

I want to control a slideshow in PowerPoint 2000 with LV7. That means I want to start a presentation and when she is finished I will close the PowerPoint and the Labview program runs again.
In an other disscusion forum we talk about this but we, didn't found a solution. We have a program which runs perfect in office 97 but not in office 2000. the link below will tell you how far we came.

I have 3rd party software wirelessly injected and used on my iphone with a cryptographic authentication system without my consent (seems to be new technology developed by stanford and apple security is not updated for this technology) obtaining ownership of my iPhone 4s software and controlling it with remote device to jail breaking my phone, adding and removing software, changing settings all from a remotely controled device from different location (I have a Mac address I'd of this device to know for sure). Almost undetectable. When I look at the legal section of my phone it shows a list of all the unauthorized 3rd party software "as is" copyright encrypted on the phone. This is the most basic way to legally steal software of any kind. Because of this legalality 3rd party ownership have total control of certain software correlated with hardware use including visualization technology, etc. most people luckily will never have this happen to them so it's unlikely many readers have not a clue of what I'm saying currently. Either way, without needing to obtain specific warranty of any kind "as is" copyright control makes system restores not a solution because the source code is not directly encrypted on the actual hardware device only a copy right notice must appear on the specific device 3rd party software validation making it extremely difficult for me to take control of the situation. Apple claims their iOS technology prevents this type copyright obstruction from being possible, however, according to my phone a new form of technology was used developed by Tom wu of Stanford university called the STANFORD SRP AUTHENTICATION TECHNOLOGY which uses Some form of cryptographic authentication system and uses quote "secure remote password" which seems to suceed in hacking iOS apple technology apple claims is not possible to jailbreak an unstolen phone or without the owners consent As well as loading the device with 3rd party copyright Notices to make all of this legalized. My phone shows atleast 30 pages worth of legalized 3rd party copyright permissions! Yesterday my apple care provider labeled me a jailbreaker and refused to look at my legal documented proof which completely blew my mind because it voides my apple care contract I spent 100 on. This employee did not take all factors into consideration and made quick assumptions as well as verbally speaking to me as I'm an automatic criminal. I left the store yesterday with no payed insurance help on a problem I had no control over and couldn't prevent, leaving with voided contracts. This is an apple users worst nightmare and I have spent days researching all of this like i am some kind of lawyer only to be able to use my phone the way it should and spent alot of money on. I can legally backup any claim I have just wrote above currently and have a large source of data collected to prove apple is wrong in voiding insurance support on this issue. The problem lies in apple avoiding and not wanting to believe their software can legally be obtained ot "hacked". Yet still labeled a jailbreaker basically.. What should I do????? Been to local apple store 3 times and rebooted my phone as well sprint service restore 4 times and spoke with reps twiice on the phone. Spoke with my phone provider who said apple has full control over these matters so they can't help me. My case is according to apple "still open"...Anyone else heard of this or of Stanford's office of technology licensing? Maybe I need to buy a blackberry again or just use a landline so I can stop being my own lawyer and focus on other productive areas in life instead of this horrible mess. I shouldn't have to prove to apple I not a jailbreaker they should have to prove I'm one before voiding support I desperately need!!

Yes, Tom Wu of Stanford wrote a paper on something called Secure Remote Access Protocol. It's a form of Asymetric Key Exchange and has nothing to do with hacking anything. It's actually intended to protect data.

I am trying to figure out how to change a setting in the Java Control Panel with command line or with a script. I want to enable "Use SSL 2.0 compatible ClientHello format"
I can't seem to find any documentation on how to change settings in the Java Control Panel via the command line

OK figured it out. This is for the next person seeking the same solution.
When you click on the Java Control Panel (found in the Control panel) in any version of Windows, it first looks for a System Wide Java Configuration (found here: C:\Windows\Sun\Java\Deployment). At this point you must be wondering why you don't have this folder (C:\Windows\Sun\Java\Deployment) or why its empty. Well, for an enterprise environment, you have to create it and place something in it - it doesn't exist by default. So you'll need a script (I used Autoit) to create the directory structure and place the the two files into it. The two files are "deployment.properties" and "deployment.config".
Example: When you click on the Java Control Panel it first checks to see if this directory exists (C:\Windows\Sun\Java\Deployment) and then checks if there is a "deployment.config". If there is one it opens it and reads it. If it doesn't exist, Java creates user settings found here C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment on Windows 7.

If you look in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment on Windows 7 for example you will find "deployment.properties". You can use this as your default example and add your settings to it.

Issue in treeview control along with page viewer web part showing the sub sites from MMS

hi,
Am having a treeview control populates with values from MMS - Managed Metadata Service.
[ Products ]
----->ms office
           ----->word
            ----->excel
             ---->powerpoint
-------->Collaboration
                ---->   sharepoint 2003
                 ----> moss 2007
                 ----> sp 2010
                 -----> lync
all these values excel, word, powerpoint are sub sites created under ms-office site collection.
and sharepoint 2003, mos 2007, sp 2010, sp 2013 are sub sites created under collaboration.
now, on the page load, end user clicks on word and he should navigate to the sub site "wordsite" and it should show the home page of word sub site.
we have created a page viewer web part and assigned the url property of the page viewer to the sub site url.
but the issue is, when end user clicked  on the child node "powerpoint", the page did a Post Back and treeview control immediately collpased and it shows the Products [top level - parent node] only.
Am unable to set the current selected value- ie here its excel and show the excel node in the trewview.
how can i get this child tree node as the selected node.
help is highly appreciated!

Anyone been able to get the sap.ca.ui.FileUpload control working with a Gateway OData service?

Hi,
I have been trying to get the sap.ca.ui.FileUpload control working with an OData Gateway service, specifically /IWPGW/TASKPROCESSING which is the service used by both Fiori Approve Requests and the Unified Inbox.
I have looked at the sample application in the Explored at SAPUI5 Explored
I have managed to replicate that and get it to work, but as soon as I switch it from a JSONModel to an ODataModel I get javascript errors from within the setModel method of the control. I have redefined that method and corrected the errors, which enables me to get a bit further, but then I hit more errors, and other strange behaviour.
Either I am doing something completely wrong, or to me it appears as if this control is still extremely buggy and maybe either not designed to work with an ODataModel, or just hasn't been tested using an ODataModel. I'm hoping it is my mistake.
So has anybody out there successfully managed to use this control connecting it to a Gateway OData service? If so please share your experience.

So sap.m.URLHelper.redirect(media_src, true); is what loads the attachment.

This should be enough if you only want to list and display the attachments, then you don't really need the FileUploader control as that is more advanced and handles upload, display, change and deletion of files.
I only needed to upload and display files, so I used a list to display it and created a separate upload button using the sap.ui.unified.FileUploader control.

First let me say that I am ready to throw this POS in the lake. Is there a way that I can control iTunes with my iPhone without any internet connections? On my houseboat I have a wifi router and want to connect my phone to my computer to control my music which plays from my computer through my stereo. I can easily do it with my laptop without having to jump through any internet APPLE BS , but I dont want to have my laptop out on the deck. I just want to use the phone as a remote control.
Remote wont do it because it keeps saying Im not connected to the internet, even though is is connected to my computer. Same problem with JumiAmp.

It should have an option to manage iTunes library without network connection, like Bluetooth or connect directly to the computer without a router or wi-fi, i live outsite of the city and i dont have the ability to control my iTunes librry from the iphone

I want to use version controlling tool with Labwindows/CVI. Actually version controlling tools work for text files and by using the tool i can do version controlling of my .c and .h files in Labwindows/CVI project. But is there a way to do version controlling of .uir files also. Version control tool can detect the changes made in .uir file but is there any tool that can be used to compare and merge .uir files too just like text files operation for version controlling.

Personally I never understood how the integrated version control system of
CVI works, but SVN (and TortoiseSVN) works fine with CVI projects.
UIR files are treated as binary, as they should be, and that's about all.
You could put the .tui file under version control instead, but I don't think
it's worth the bother.

After you send "PT19" to the 8757, usually at address 16.
Send the commands you want to go to the 8350 to address 17.
To terminate the passthru mode, send any command to address of the 16.
Ex:
To Address 16: PT19;
To Address 17: FA 8 GZ;FB 16 GZ;PL 0 DM;
To Address 16: C1 IA;

Chart of accounts i.e. 0CHRT_ACCTS is an attribute of Controlling area. This means each Controlling area will have it's own chart of accounts. This chart of accounts could be similar in terms of content values. So it is possible to consolidate and produce a report which provides a summary of the chart of accounts.

How to control animation with touch

Hello! I need some help with controlling animations with touch. I am building a fake app and need to 'unlock' an iphone (slide an arrow along a track and then have it fade into another page). I have been using http://forums.adobe.com/message/4865693 that thread. The prototype link listed there is similar to waht I need to recreate, but I think I need an 'on touch' actino instead of a mousemove one.

That is a link to the Edge file I have been working on, using the info in the thread above. It is broken at the moment, and I am terrible with javascript and have no idea how to move forward. I have figured that I'll need an 'on touch' action instead of the mouseover one, but I'm not sure how to build it.
If there is a working example of this on a different thread that I've missed I'd love a link as well!!

Hi, akall-
There are a number of touch events that you can use to accomplish what you want. You can try using the touchmove event instead of the mousemove event, and stick your code in there.

That's really weird!
After digging around, reinstalling Flash CS3 again and doing
multiple tests, I finally found the source of the problem:
Two .swc files residing in the same folder where I was saving
my tests files were avoiding the Flash compiler to successfully
create new .swc files!? I cannot understand how this can be
possible. As soon as I choosed a new folder for saving the test
files, I could link to the .swc and access the component from Flex.
Also as soon as I moved out the two culprid files I could again
save in the previous folder...
Does anyone has an idea how this can happen?

Why cant i controle Launchpad with my arrows?

i hate hving to use 2 fingers or clicking on the small circles, i want to be able to controle Launchpad with my arrows... but on mountainlion this has been disabled and i dont know how to turn it on, i've looked all over the place and eafen changed key configuration... but nothing seems to work, i would apriciate it if someone helped me ^^

That's odd. The good news is: It's not disabled in Mountain Lion (I can still use the arrows in Launchpad). The bad news is: It's disabled on your Mac and I haven't got a clou how to help you.
