Controlling timeline playback

Is there are a script that will run a swf file in reverse?
For instance, if the beginning of a movie zooms in on
something, a button can run the zoom in reverse?
Any help on conrtolling timeline playback would be
appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

try something like this, hope I put not errors in it ..
yourClip_mc.direction = -1;
yourClip_mc.onEnterFrame = funciton(){
if (this.direction == -1){
this.CF = this._currentframe-1
if (this.CF==0) this.CF = this._totalframes;
}else{
this.CF = this._currentframe-1
if (this.CF>this._totalframes) this.CF = 1;
this.gotoAndStop(this.CF)

  • IPhone headset no more able to control iTunes playback on MacBook Pro

    After I have updated to Mac OS X 10.6.5 and iTunes 10.1 on the latest 13" MacBook Pro, it's not possible to control the iTunes via iPhone headset anymore. Only the volume keys work but the middle key (which can be used for play, pause, next, previous, fast forward) stopped working. I've been looking for any possible settings to activate that in iTunes but I can't see any. Can anyone else confirm that? And could you suggest a solution? I was really used to controlling iTunes playback the same way I am controlling it on the iPhone and I thought it was really cool that Apple has allowed such consistency and interoperability between products. I hope that's a bug and not a decision.

  • CUDA always works great on timeline playback but sometimes not at all on Export+MRQ enabled?

    Hi,
    I have Premiere CS 5.5.2 on Mac with Lion 10.7.2. System is Q6600, 8 GB DDR2, graphics is Nvidia GTX 560, 1 GB DDR5, 256 bit. AVCHD 1080i material exporting to PAL DV.
    CUDA works great on timeline playback but SOMETIMES (3rd time in 3 months) when I export with MRQ enabled it simply does not kick in at all. Exporting times are high as exporting without CUDA, the graphics card's coolers don't speed up like they do when I play the timeline or when exporting with CUDA was working.
    If I cancel the export CUDA works just like before when I play the timeline. If I go to export, again, it does not work. Very high export times. I click cancel again and it works fine playing the timeline, the coolers on the graphics card go slightly up as to indicate that th GPU is beeing used, everything is just fine. MRQ is always enabled and the project preferences are set to use CUDA.
    Twice I solved this problem by closing EyeTV since I thought that this was the issue because maybe this program was using somehow the video acceleration and no more room was left for CUDA, but last time even this did not work. I closed EyeTV, restarted Premiere but nothing. Same problem, CUDA worked just fine playing the timeline WITH EyeTV running but not when exporting with MRQ. I had to restart the computer to get CUDA to work on export with MRQ enabled.
    With CUDA: 30 minutes of AVCHD 1080i footage + logo applied and export with MRQ = 15 minutes exporting time to PAL DV.
    Without CUDA or when CUDA does not work on export: 3 hours exportinng time to PAL DV.
    For those who don't know EyeTV is a tv tuner application and I use it on DVB-C to monitor 2 national TV channels that are on the same digital multiplex. I opened up even 6 channels at the same time on the same multiplex and CUDA still worked fine on the timeline.
    MRQ is always checked, always ON.
    All I want to know if there is anyone else with this issue, wheter on Windows or Mac, their observations and what they tried to solve this issue.
    Thanks a lot,
    Best regards,
    Dj Lyon

  • Control and playback of AS2 SWF playing in AS3 SWF?

    Hi,
    I have a rather interesting techincal question:
    1. For starters I have a main flash movie which was developed
    using AS3 code. It is a video player type flash movie set up to
    play SWF files including 4 selectable SWF segments.
    2. However I have received the 4 existing SWF files from the
    client which were developed using AS2. Most likely they will not be
    able to provide original FLA files because another company has
    created the SWF presentations long time ago.
    Can I load and control the playback of the external AS2 coded
    SWF files in the main AS3 coded environment? And I mean having
    complete access to it? (not just fast forward, pause, stop but also
    communicate with it)
    Thanks,
    Attila

    You can use gSkinner's SWFBridge located here:

  • Can I view Timeline Playback via my Canopus ADVC300?

    I have a Canopus ADVC300 attached to my Mac Pro via a Firewire connection. The composite video out is connected to a SD TV. Can I make the timeline playback to this TV as an external monitor? (I used to do this when I had my PC and used AVID Liquid.) I was able to "Print to Tape" and gat the video on the TV, but I'd like to be able to see the timeline playback directly. What would be the correct settings? Has anyone done this successfully? Please let me know.
    Thanks
    Art

    Yes, you can. I have one and works just fine.
    Set the video out to Apple firewire NTSC (or PAL), all frames, audio follows video.
    Make sure your audio is also being fed from the canopus or you'll have playback sync issues.
    fwiw, Print to Video is for sending to a VTR.

  • Recording timeline playback to external DVR without printing to video

    I am having trouble recording timeline playback to an external Panasonic DVR via firewire. Do I need some sort of convertor to make it work? I've also tried going through a DV camera and then to the DVR, but it drops frames like crazy. Most of my projects are about 2+ hours, and I don't have time to compress and burn internally. Help!
    G5 Quadcore   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    With both my Panasonic and Ben-Q DVRs, I cannot actually record to disk thru the FW from the computer. I pass thru my DV deck.
    I find that I first have to export the Sequence as a Quicktime Movie (not self contained works fine) then bring that into the Viewer and just play it from there. I don't actually use Print to Tape for this, I just play it from the Viewer
    This generally has worked fine but once in a while I get sync issues

  • Effect Controls Timeline keeps zooming out

    So I'm currently working on a tutorial video that involves a lot of stopping and starting.  I'm loving Premiere's method of creating freeze frames (drop a keyframe in the Effect Controls timeline where you want it to freeze, option+cmd+drag it to the point where you want it to resume) however every time I do it, the Effect Controls timeline zooms out to show the entire project.  This is frustrating as I need to re-zoom in every time I want to freeze it; does anyone know a way around this?

    Ok, so here's a more detailed description.  The way I know to freeze a frame is to drop a speed keyframe (which has a left and a right half), and to then hold down Option+Command and drag the right half of the keyframe to where you want it to stop freezing.  This usually relies on zooming in to the Effect Controls timeline since I'm only freezing for a few seconds at a time; but the problem is as soon as I let go of the mouse to drop the end of the keyframe, the timeline snaps back to full view.

  • Footswitch to control record/playback

    It seems to have been a few years since anything similar was posted and since technology moves on.....
    I'd like to use a floor switch or button pad to control the playback, rewind and record functions on Logic Pro X. Unless it can also be done by vocal command :-)
    Obvious reason is that I've got my hands full of bass, or guitar, or I'm sat at my piano, or standing up ready to sing. What I don't want to be doing is what I'm doing now. Hitting 'R' then waiting for the metronome count to start . I often seem to be unprepared that way.
    So what floor switches are currently available that can handle these tasks? The three requirements are obviously Record, rewind, playback.
    TIA.

    You might be able to put the foot switch read in a high priority thread,
    and run it fast.
    Another way would be to not use a momentary foot switch, and use one that
    toggle
    s instead.
    A better way would be to use your foot switch to drive a one-shot circuit
    with a pulse width that is sufficiently long. This requires a minimum of
    hardware design.

  • Premiere CS6 timeline playback problem.

    I keep having a reoccurring problem with my timeline playback. After about 30 seconds or so of playback, the cursor returns to the point it started and the picture freezes, but the audio continues unhindered. I've tried numerous things. The most successful of these was uninstalling Quicktime, which improved the situation greatly, but not completely. Obviously I need Quicktime, but on installing it again the problem has reoccurred. Any help much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Rob

    Thanks Richard
    BM released some new drivers on 21st Jan. I installed these and the problem has now gone!
    Many thanks for all your help.

  • Horrible chopper timeline playback peformance

    Trying out Flash CC I'm getting absolutly horrible timeline playback performance.
    I made a single circle graphic object, and using a classic tween between 2 points to make it travel across the screen.
    The playback is so inconsistent.  24 fps, then hangs for a while, showing 5.75 fps, then 13 fps, then 18, back to 4.  it just can't display it properly.
    System
    Win 7 64bit
    16gb ram
    Nvidia Titan GTX 690 (tried latest official and beta drivers)
    Scrubbing is choping as well, the time slider will get "stuck" on random frames and then jump to where the mouse is.
    Are there any settings anywhere that changes what type of graphic renderer the software is using? eg: software/open gl etc?
    I'm trying to see if there's something else running on my system that might be interfeering with it but no luck so far.
    Does flash have problems with SLI cards such as a gtx 690?, can i run flash cc in a different mode that might help prevent this terrible performance?  Its impossible to do any animation like this.
    Thanks

    I dont see this happen on my system. If will be great if you can do the following test:
    - Close the timeline and then play the movie using Menu / Keyboard shortcuts? Both playback and stepping frames.
    That way we can know if it is a timeline or a stage issue.

  • Control FLV playback with button on different timeline

    I have an FLVPlayback instance on my stage within a movie
    clip within a movie clip eg.
    _root.showreel_mc.showreelHolder.showreel (where showreel is
    the instance name given to the FLV component itself)
    I already have a button that fades out showreel_mc in order
    to fade other content in but I also need it to pause the FLV so it
    doesn't keep playing in the background. I've tried this...
    _root.showreel_mc.showreelHolder.showreel.pause()
    But it doesn't work - anyone got any ideas? I'm using
    Actionscript 2.0.
    Cheers!

    I found the option to sync with rest of project under the options tab and this solved my problem.

  • How to control timeline sound of external SWF

    Hi All,
    Basic Intro:
    I am new in Action Script and trying to create a video tutorial framwork. In this I have lots of animated SWF files in all the files I have multiple scenes as those are 5min. to 10 min. each and all the files have the relevent background and nurration voice place directly on the TIMELINE frame by frame to match lip syncing animated chreactors.
    My file structure :
    Login.swf with login box is embedded into the Index.html
    After logged in it will load another SWF which is Control panel.swf
    3. Controlpanel.swf has the controls to control the loaded external swf files i.e.: Chapter menu, Play, pause, replay, volume-bar, next and previous buttons.
    By Default Controlpanel.swf will open chapter1.swf as soon as user logged in so no one need to open 1st file.
    Here user can navigate to other chapter swf file through Chapter menu or Next and Previous buttons.
    All files are loading and playing properly, here I am trying to control the animation and Sound both at a same time with Pause, Play and Replay through relevant buttons.
    Problem:
    By pressing “Pause button” animation stops but not the sound. Sound remains playing, and if I replay the swf by “Replay button” than animation restarts but sound also restarts that overlaps already playing audio.
    Question: So could anybody help me finding out how to:
    1. Pause the sound with animation by the same click of Pause button, and
    2. Stop the sound with animation by the same click of Stop button, and
    3. On replay it should stop playing the previously running audio and restart it with the animation like fresh loaded file, it should not sound overlapping.
    Constraints:
    Here I am using the sound file on the same time line of each individual swf file which I cannot add into any single movie clip because all the chapter swf file are having multiple scenes in it.
    For my problem I have already done a lot of browsing online in various forums and didn't find the solution. So here I am sharing the complete information regarding the project and wishing to get some good solution out here but if I missed any helpful information please ask me anytime and please help me to quickly find out the solution.
    Thanks a lot to all of you in advance to help me.

    create one global sound variable
    you can write when you are pressing pause button
    globalsoundvariable.setVolume(0)
    to play
    globalsoundvariable.setVolume(100)

  • Choppy timeline playback after motion effects

    I'm working in FCP 7.0.1, on a MacPro Quad-Core Intel Xeon 2.26 GHz processor, working with footage pulled off the trusty JVC GY-HM100U HD camera.
    I've created an editing project that adopted the default footage codec settings (XDCAM EX 1080p24 (35 Mb/s VBR) ), and my issue is that whenever the sequence playhead passes over a "motion tab" effect in the timeline (i.e. traveling frames, cropped/zoomed footage), the playback thereafter hitches and stutters. Regardless of whether I set the RT to safe or unlimited, or the image quality to dynamic or low/med/high, I seem to get the same effect. Worse yet, if I click onto an entirely different sequence from another project, the stuttering playback occurs there as well. It seems that I need to quit and restart FCP if I want seamless playback after the playhead gets "infected" by a simple motion tab effect.
    Just to note, there is nothing in the timeline that even needs rendering, and I've ruled out irregular window abutment and sizes that I've read elsewhere can interfere with playback.
    I have more than enough processor firepower on my rig to push this footage around -- any ideas on what gives?

    Bumping this topic up higher.

  • Controlling timeline sound

    Hey guys, i was wondering if you would be able to help, PLEASE!!
    I'm making a presentation in flash, it has 3 segments, 1st is sound in sync with timeline 2nd is a video which is streaming and third is sound insync with timeline again.
    I can control the video thats no probs, but i want to be able to control the sound/timeline.
    What i want to be able to do is put in some controls just pause play and stop and when i push pause it obviously pauses it, when i push play it continues to play and when i push stop it goes to frame 1 and clears what ever it was playing in the timeline previously.
    I know how to control the timeline but not the sound!
    any suggestions please?

    You will find sound quality options for individual sounds if you double click on the sound in the library.
    If you look in your Flash Publish Settings you will find sound quality options for all streaming/event internal sounds. These global settings can optionally override individual sound quality settings.

  • Control Timeline and FLV Together

    HI,
    Where can I find ready-made buttons that will control an FLV and a timeline together? I have a swf with an FLV and I animate images and phrases on a movieClip timeline timed to what they say in the flv. I set up cuepoints that trigger the animations, so when users scrub, pause, etc. the timeline eventually catches up with the FLV, but it would be a lot nicer if the pause, scrub, etc. would do the same to the timeline and there was no lag time. I can get rid of the scrub and just use play/pause ff, rr if that helps.
    Thanks,
    Brian

    you'll need to create those buttons yourself.
