Conversion of .xml, .java, .html etc files to pdf

Hi All,
I want to convert any file format to pdf while check-in any new file.
For that, I have used PDFConverter Component and InBoundRefinary.
Using this, I can able to convert *.doc, .dox, .xls, .xlsx, .txt* etc files to pdf.
But I want to convert any file whether it is *.java, .xml, .html* etc.
How can I do using the same configuration?
Is there any extra configuration needed to fulfill this ?

The file formats wizard will help in defining which conversions are required for corresponding type of the file.
Content Server --> Administration --> Admin Applets --> Configurations manager --> Options --> File Formats..... -->
File Formats --> Add
Add a format 'application/java' with the appropriate Conversion available e.g. OutsideIn Technology
File Extensions --> Add
Add the extensions 'java' and select 'application/java' as the Map to Format
Note: You can avoid adding file format if you have a format defined earlier in File Formats.

Automatic conversion from XDP file fo PDF file

Hello!
I have an application that creates an XDP file with a certain report.
I can open the XDP file in Designer 7.0 and then save it as PDF, but I would like to know, how can I automatically produce PDF file from XDP file.
Is it possible?

We have a similar requirement for our product.
We have existing XDP templates (for use with Form server), but we have a need for another Client using an older version of XML Forms - AcroForms (PDF Forms).
So, we need to convert these XML forms in XDP files into PDF Forms (AcroForms). We tried File->SaveAs (PDF Forms) from Adobe designer, but it looks like the hidden fields (in XDP files) get messed-up.
Did you guys find any solution for this? I would appreciate if you can share your experiences and insights in this regard.

Convert rtf, pdf or doc file to xml or html

I'm using RichTextEditor from Flex, but I need to
upload a .doc, .pdf or .rtf file into RichTextEditor. Or maybe a
way to convert these files to xml or html.... please can you help

Flex has no inherent functionality to do doc conversions. You
are also looking for the ability to convert several different file
types that might require seperate conversion methods. Also, it is
important to note that Flex does not have very good HTMl
functionality. In fact, it has a very limited subsed of HTML tags
that are allowable and also require some distinct formatting
requirements. So, if you are trying to convert PDF's and Docs, RTF
etc, you might have a difficult time trying to get them to diosplay
in the Flex RTE.
I have struggled with trying to get a good PDF converter for
multiple file types. Adobe does have some good server side
utilities, but budget might be an issue.
You can find several PDF converters that are server based
that you migth be able to leverage.
If you are CF user, Scorpio does have a better integration
with PDF and LiveCycle services that may help when it is released.

there are a number of java libraries that can read PDF files. Once you can read them, you can convert them to xml/html/etc.

Problem in file content conversion from XML to CSV

I am finding problem in file content conversion. I need to convert the following XML file into CSV file:

The output file data has to be like:

The problem I am facing is while specifying the content conversion parameters in communication channel i dont know what recordset structure i should mention as all the records are directly under root. If I mention recordset structure as "ns0:MT_CROSS_REF" and parameters as
ns0:MT_CROSS_REF.fieldSeparator   ,
ns0:MT_CROSS_REF.endSeparator    'nl'
i get error in communication channel monitoring and no file is posted.
Please help me as to what correct parameter i should mention in my case.

Hi Chirag,
I cannot change the xml file as it comes after mapping idoc to a message type. How can I add ROOT in the xml? My message type is like MT_CROSS_REF and it has those 6 fields as in the XML (Update_type, PLU etc.). I do the mapping of these fields from a IDOC and get the XML.

Thanks Daniel for pointing that out. Though you answer is helpful but I am not sure if that is what I would want to do.
The link you provide for csv says "For each report there's an _report.xdo file that contains the XML structure of the report... " It suggests I modify the .xdo file for each report. I currently have 16 reports.
Does it mean I modify the .xdo file for all 16 and what happens if someone creates a 17th report ?
Also, what if I run the same report using different input parameters will that change the xml structure for the report and therefore will need me to modify the .xdo again ? (I think it should not change the xml structure so the answer should be "NO" to that, unless I change the structure of the report).
Finally, the link you provide says after doing what it suggest "Now log back into BI publisher and select the report. You should now be able to see that CSV is now an option."
CSV should be an option where ? on what screen/page ? Maybe PDF is already an option for me that I cant see because I do not know where that option is.
I was hoping there would be something I could do on the xdo_metadata sheet (in the data constraints section or elsewhere) OR in BI Publisher itself as some property of the report.
I will try out what you suggest any ways.

Not a standard feature of XSLT. But Michael Kay's XSLT implementation, SAXON, provides that as an extension. Get it here:

Sender file adapter with content conversion Simple XML

Hi experts,
I'm trying to parametrize my sender file adapter content conversion.
I'm receiving a text file with one single line like:
AA1;AA2; AA3;
and I want to convert it to an XML like
<MT_A1>
<field1>AA1</field1>
<field2>AA2</field2>
<field3>AA3</field3>
</MT_A1>
Actually I know how to do somenthing like
<MT_A1>
    <LINE>
          <field1>AA1</field1>
          <field2>AA2</field2>
          <field3>AA3</field3>
     <LINE>
</MT_A1>
What I want is remove the <LINE> tag from my XML.

Thanks, My problem has been solved.Now it is working.
Initially I was using wrong classes.zip file in myclasspath.The
Correct one is in %JDEVELOPER_HOME%\java\lib. The size of that
file is 9.48 MB.

JFileChooser - Specifying the files to be open e.g. java, txt etc

How do I specify the files that I want to open using JFileChooser?
I know that the following code specifies all files
jFileChooser1.setFileSelectionMode( jFileChooser1.FILES_ONLY);
but I want my GUI only to allow .java and .txt files. Can somebody please help?

Conversion of multiple xml idocs to flat file

Hi,
I did ABAP mapping to convert xml idoc to flat file by using the reference how to do abap mapping in xi3.0.pdf
It is working for only one idoc at a time.
If I have multiple idocs in a single xml file, the above code is not working.
Please let me know what cchange to be done to work out for this.
