Conversion xsd:date to xs:date

hi,
i am doing a scenario Webservice1XIWebservice2.i have to send date from webservice1 to webservice2. In webservice1 i am sending currentdate (Form Date Function.) to webservice2(xs:date).
i am getting error as "Invalid date value: wrong type:"
what could be the reason...

my concern is to send the BAPI date to SOAP Client.
the date type accepted by the SOAP client is xs:date YYYY-MM-DD format . I am using DateTrans function to transfer the format to the SOAP client required but still i am getting this error in sxmb_moni.

    I am generating an XML data source from PS Query using date information (PS 8.8, PT 8.49.11) ... the Schema file that PS generated assigned xsd:Date to the date fields, which expects YYYY/MM/DD. On the data template I am trying to display DD/MM/YYYY, using the following BI Publisher Properties: <?format-date: xdoxslt:ora_format_date_offset(D.ACCOUNTING_DT, 1, ‘+’);'DD/MM/YYYY'?> This works fine for single invoice file generation but not for bursting... it produces the following error sequence for each row:[061610_100822221][][ERROR] Invalid XSD string: 15/06/2010. So it looks like the transformed data is conflicting with the xsd:Date but I am not sure how to avoid this...

    OK, I fixed the XSD error by removing the date mask in the Word template. Apparently you can't have two date masks even if they are the same, and I had one for the Oracle XML and the Microsoft one. I was converting from YYYY/MM/DD to DD/MM/YYYY. All the invalid stringtype errors were removed from the trace file. However, I am still getting blank PDF files, as described below in the ticket I am logging to Oracle: I am bursting invoices in PeopleSoft 8.8 with PT 8.49.11 and Oracle BI Publisher 10.1.3.3.2. My stdout file is not showing any errors when the process runs, and I am generating the appropriate number of files for the BurstBy Value (Customer ID). Each pdf output file contains a varying number of pages suggesting that the invoices are being separated by Customer ID appropriately. However, each pdf is blank and the file names are simply the template name (AR_INTL_ENG), so they are all the same. I can find the reports in the XMLP Report Search but when I click on the Report hyperlink the File List Name is “Name” and the file size is 0 bytes. The PDF files are 0KB. Please advise.

  • Mapping from xsd:date to ABAP dates (yyyy-mm-dd)

    Hi there,
    I've an automated activity that calls an ABAP web service in our SAP ERP.
    In my BPM data object I've a date in format xsd:date which should be passed as web service parameter.
    I've tried to use
    (Data_Object/Requestor/FromDate) cast as date
    but this causes an error when calling the web service.
    If I put a fix value like "2011-03-17" it works.
    How can I do the conversion?
    Another general question:
    From a practical point of view, isn't it better to call web services in the WebDynpro itself instead of creating an automated activity?
    An advantage would be the direct response of the web service which then could be handled in the user interface.

  • Open conversions in data dictionary

    Dear experts,
    We have been trying to install an ST-PI package in an SAP system.However,it gives a warning saying "Open conversions in data dictionary". It says - Some open conversion requests still exists for the following ABAP data dictionary objects.To avoid inconsistencies and data losses you must process these conversions first. 
    Further it asks us to run the transaction SE14 which points towards the table GLPCA and says Index Z1 does not exist.
    What can be the cause behind this?I do not have an ABAP background.So,hoping if you could help me out.

  • Implicit Conversion from data type sql_variant to datetime is not allowed.

     Getting a odd error. This code was working perfectly before a SQLServer upgrade.
    The linked database is working, I'm able to pull up data from it in separate queries just fine.
    I'm getting the following error.
    Implicit conversion from data type sql_variant to datetime is not allowed. Use the CONVERT function to run this query.

    can anyone spot the issue? I've tried sever variations of the same code, but still get the same thing.

    It is not a good idea to use string dates for predicates in WHERE clauses.
    Use DATETIME or DATE in predicates.
    If you are not interested in the time part of DATETIME, use DATE datatype.

  • Help - Set XML /XSD data source at runtime(VC2003)

    The VC 2003 app loads a CR 2008  report without any issue.
    The CR report has an XML/XSD data source ,The spec has now changed to set XML/XSD data source at runtime.
    Anyone have any information /examples on changing a CR report XML data source at runt time in VC IDE. I can not update the app to .Net or port to JAVA ,only stuck with VC 2003.

    In VC IDE, is there away to set a crystal reports data source as an xml File without to import the xml into a dataset?

    Duration as a timestamp? How odd, most people would store it
    as an integer. Or, if you want to build your own string, the syntax
    is {ts 'yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss'}. The seconds might not be required.
    In any event, use createodbcdatetime() for the value you want
    to put into your table.

  • BPM Java WebDynpro xsd:date decrease one day

    Hi Experts.
    I have a problem with the context between Java WebDynpro and BPM. I have an attribute of date type , when BPM call the Web Dynpro UI, this date it shows to user with one day minus, but in BPM Context and Web Dynpro context are with the correct date.
    I checked the BPM context and the value of this attribute is: "2011-08-06Z".
    I think that the problem is with the "Z" because it's like a time zone.
    Any suggestions?

    We faced the same issue as you, and after doing all checks in configuration, nothing!, finally we found a SAP note that recommends to change the date type to string types, but, we have a lot of webservices calls and mappings that requieres a "date" type and this make more dificult the "solution".
    Then we found a little tricky solution.
    We change the webdynpro Date types to Strings, and make the transformation in bpm mapping to cast as xsd:date,  finally in webdynpro you must perform a string.format for the outgoing date as BPM is specting the date ( "YYYY-MM-DD")
    With this solution you see a "date" type in BPM  context and String type in Webdynpro and the offtset disappears.
    This solution maybe is similar to SAP Note, but you don't need to change all your consumed webservices types.

    On the other hand, with JVM 1.6, it works.

    You are using an Oracle date. The XML data format is different...

    Oracle is following the rules of the W3 iso format, eg...

    I have learned that one annoying issue is also the timezone in this context. It is ALWAYS american.america despite NLS.
    Also here Oracle follows the W3 iso standard in the database...

    In the above wsdl the collection of fintObjInst if of type xs:anytype. From the wsdl, I do not see the xsd mapping for AccountIC which includes Name and Desc. Due to which, when invoking the web service from a different client like c#(by creating proxy business service), I am unable to set the parameters for AccountIC. I am using JAX-WS stack and WLS 10.3. I have already looked at blog http://weblogs.java.net/blog/kohlert/archive/2006/10/jaxws_and_type.html but unable to solve this issue. However, at run time using a tool like SoapUI, when this wsdl is imported, I am able to see all the params related to AccountIC class.
    Can some one help me with this.

    Did you try adding the the XmlSeeAlso annotation to the webservice
    @XmlSeeAlso({<package.name>.AccountIC.class})
    This will add the schema for the data type (AccountIC) to the WSDL.

  • Can I use Non-standard XSD Data Types in my XSD; if so how?

    Also note that I am in Livecycle 8.2 ES (not ES2 or higher).
    I am working on creating XSD schemas to map to form objects.
    I have created one master schema document that is wired into multiple forms, and I have one separate schema for reusable form objects, that I refer to as a "common node".
    All of my individual form schemas are brought together in this one Master Schema via the use of include statements.
    EXAMPLE: This is like my Master Schema

    I can load this up in Designer in the Data View and everything appears in the Data View hierarchy correctly, with "form" as the top node.
    And as long as I use standard "xs:" data types - everything works great.  So if I go into LiveCycle Designer and I go to File --> Form Properties --> Preview --> Generate Preview Data and generate dummy XML data - it respects my XSD conventions.
    Now here is where the problem arises:
    In these schemas, I need to define the data types.
    The client I am working for needs me to use their data types.
    These data types are not standard xs: data types, like "xs:string" or "xs:date".
    Rather, the data types are ones that have been defined in other schemas and reserved to a namespace.
    For instance, rather than use xs:date I need to use something like:  "myns:DateType"
    This "myns:DateType" is defined as:

    It conforms to W3 standards.
    Note also how this type is an enumeration of the base type "xs:date".
    This is defined in a schema called something like "MyCoreTypes.xsd"
    There is a namespace reservation in this file that looks something like this:

    Now the problems is that in all my forms, where I have a myns:DateType (e.g.:  in form1111, a "Date of Birth" element that looks like this: <xs:element name="OwnerBirthDt" type="myns:DateType"/> ) the XSD is not respected when the XML dummy data is generated in LiveCycle Designer implying that the XSD's data types are not being recognized properly.
    Has anyone had this problem before?
    Is there a solution?
    Is it even possible to use these kind of include or import references in LiveCycle to define a data type other that the standard "xs:" data types?
    Please let me know - it would be greatly appreciated.

      I am new to Adobe LC. I want to know the steps for how to get the form data into the process using XSD.

    For this code to work it is needed to import 2 files:

    The JspFactoryImpl is in jasper-runtime.jar file provided in tomcat dir.It seems to me that you are exactly knowing what you are doing :-(
    You can get a Bean stored in a Session by
    request.getSession().getAttribute("userbean");
    In the login.jsp page for example we have the code
    <jsp:useBean id="userbean" scope="session"class="com.newproj.UserBean" />
    <jsp:setProperty name="userbean" property="*" />the jsp:setProperty is not called when you click on the submit button
    if fills the bean with the request values from the previous request.

  • Conversion of Data between 3.1 to 7.0

    Hello Everybody,
    I have a need to convert a large volume of data from BW 3.* to 2004s. Due to the volume of data what would be the best conversion practice.
    1. I create a RFC between the system and create export data source out of 3.* box and extract the data in 2004s.
    2. Create a flat .CSV files from BW 3.* and upload the files into the 2004s server (file copy) and load it as a flat file load.
    I am considering ease of use, performance, and no data loss. Please advice what would be the better option. I am leaning toward option 1. Please tell me what is the better approach?

    Hi Alex,
    I guess that when you say Convert you mean to copy the information.
    The best option is number 1, create the 3.1 system as a source system for the 7.0 system and upload data using infopackages.

  • Conversion from date to number & display a date in a textfield

    I Have 2 issues
    The first one:
    I need to extract the hour from a date variable.
    This is the code I already have:
    NUM_TOT := NUM_TEL + to_number('PROGRAMMINGS1.PRG_START','hh24');
    NUM_TOT & NUM_TEL are number variables,
    PROGRAMMINGS1.PRG_START is a Textfiel with a dateformat. There can only be an houre like 24:59:00 entered.
    So in this example I just want the houre and convert it to a number.
    The second:
    I want to make a date from a few numbers & then display it in a texfield.
    This is the code I already have:
    VAR_DATE := NUM_TEL || ':' || NUM_LENGTH || ':00';
    :PROGRAMMINGS.PRG_END := to_date(VAR_DATE,'hh24:mi:ss');
    Between the 2 lines of code i places a message(VAR_DATE) for testing.
    When the program display VAR_DATE then i can see the good date at the bottom of the screen.
    But when I place my variable in the textfield it looks like: 00:00:00. What am I doing wrong?

    Typ=187 Len=20: 218,7,1,13,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,3,0,0,0,0,0                  Typ=13 Len=8: 218,7,1,13,0,0,0,0As you can see the TSTAMP and DT store nearly the same values (218,7,1,13), but the TSTAMP has more precision because of fractional seconds.

    <b>Here objkey is RAW 16  and gs_guid is char(70)..</b>
    Can anybody help me out in this... and is there any conversion routines for doing this.

    declare a gs_guid variable as raw data type .. and then convert it to char
    and for conversion refer
    convert raw type to char
    Convert RAW 1022 TO CHAR 255
    Convert RAW 1022 to CHAR 255
