Convert Current Date to specific text

I need to find a way to enter certain text in a field by current date. Example: If the current date today was 01/01/2014 then the text would be
oak. There would be a unique text identifier for every day of the year.

One of your first jobs should be to create a table (somewhere) that specifies for each "day of the year" what the text should be. No-one here can really help you with that - after all, which day in 2014 is "silver birch" ? Are all days "tree days"?
If your table needs to be any more compicated than you have indicated - e.g., perhaps what you really wanted was a different "tree" for each day of the month, or for this to work in 2015 as well (I thin kyou dealt with that) - going through that process
may pose some extra questions that you can answer on your own.
Afeter that, it's a question of exactly what you are trying to produce in Word, and how to use that table to do it easily, if possible.

Adobe LiveCycle Designer 8 - Add days to Current Date in another text field

Hi-
I am working on an expense report. I have six fields, CurrentDate, and countDate1 through countDate5. The CurrentDate is a Time/Date field which the user can select whatever date is needed with the drop down calendar. The other five countDate fields are "text" fields which will represent Monday through Friday. I would like to add zero days to whatever the user selects as the CurrentDate and make that appear in countDate1 which represents Monday(the CurrentDate the user selects will always be a Monday), add one day to whatever the user selects as the CurrentDate and make that appear in countDate2 which represents Tuesday...and so on. I realize this is probably basic for someone familiar with FormCalc but I'm very new at this.
This got me very close but I want the user to select the date and not have the CurrentDate already filled in.
CurrentDate - DateTime field, FormCalc calculation script:
num2date(Date())
Date1 - Text field, FormCalc calculation script:
Num2Date( Date2Num(CurrentDate.formattedValue))
Date2 - Text field, FormCalc calculation script:
Num2Date( Date2Num(CurrentDate.formattedValue) + 1 )

Here is an exmaple of adding days the script is used in the "exit" event for the date select field that has display format of "MM/DD/YYYY". Adding days requires add x number of days to the days since the epoch date for the current date, adding months or years one needs to manipulate the string parts of the date.

Current date & time in text field

I need to auto-fill a text field with four letters plus the current date and current time. The text field should populate when the user clicks a checkbox.
For example, if today is April 25, 2012 and the current time is 10:27 a.m., the text field should read: UNIS0425121027. (The time can be in military time or not - it doesn't matter.)

Change the script language to FormCalc.

Current Date in the Text Field

I have got a requirement where i have one text field and one data/time field. Once we select the date from the date field, the date selected in the date field should be reflected in text field in the format DD.MM.YY along with some other text.
for example,
if we select date as 03/02/2009 - Date Field, we should get it as
Today is (date with format DD.MM.YY)

On the exit of the Date field write the javascript code:
TextField.rawValue = "Today is " + this.rawValue

Adding current date to text field w/ Javascript in Acrobat 8

I am trying to add the current date to a text field using javascript in Acrobat 8 Professional. I am using the util.printd function in a javascript function but the date of creation shows in the text field, NOT today's date. Any clues??

LONG has been depricated since 8i so I don't believe there is a general solution to go backwards short of reloading the data.

Current Date in Service Description of ESS Services

Hi All,
We want to display current date in the Text of Service Description.
In SPRO, -> personnel Management -> ESS -> General Settings -> Home page for ESS -> Services -> Define Services, I tried using &DATE& but it shows the date, 28.02.2011 and not the current date i.e 14.03.2011.
The server date is correct, i.e. 14.03.2011
Can you please help, how can I display current date in the service description.

You can use Proxy class to append the time dynamically to the service description.

I can get to the Conditional Formatting menu and select "With Dates" but after that I am lost. Can anyone help?

Set a Conditional Format rule as shown in the illustration below. The rule has been applied to all dates in column B of the table.

How can I use Automator to extract specific Data from a text file?

I have several hundred text files that contain a bunch of information. I only need six values from each file and ideally I need them as columns in an excel file.
How can I use Automator to extract specific Data from the text files and either create a new text file or excel file with the info? I have looked all over but can't find a solution. If anyone could please help I would be eternally grateful!!! If there is another, better solution than automator, please let me know!

Converting a Date in UTC to the current timezone

I have a library which returns a Date in UTC.
I need to convert this Date to the current timezone, and then format it using SimpleDateFormat.
I've been trying for a while now, and I can't figure it out? Can anyone help?
