Hi, I am trying to convert Year ending Quarter into MDXequivalent. These are the formulae which has to be converted intoMDX. I am very new to MDX, hence need help in converting this calc into MDX Query-
If(@ISIDESC("L-206125"))
     "70170023"
EndIF;
Where "L-206125" is from Departments dimension and "70170023" from Accounts. I have this formula on one more Department.
I tried to convert in MDX and got this-
IIF (Is(Departments.CurrentMember,[L-206125]) OR Count(Intersect({Descendants[L-206125]},{Departments.CurrentMember}))= 1)),Accounts.[70170023], #Missing)
But I am getting syntax error whenever I validate this.
Please anyone help me out of this issue?

I took your requirement (sort of) and transferred it to my second favorite Essbase database in the whole wide world, aka, ASOSamp.Sample and, if you'll forgive my my child-like MDX:
CASE WHEN CONTAINS([Geography].Currentmember, Descendants([North East])) THEN
     [Original Price] * -1
ELSE
     42
ENDWorks for me.
So in your case:
CASE WHEN CONTAINS([Departments].Currentmember, Descendants([L-206125])) THEN
     [70170023]
ELSE
     Missing
ENDDo you really want to write Missing to all other intersections, or just the first condition in the CASE? You decide.

Latextogrob: LaTeX Formulae into HP 50g

Hi, some time ago I bought an HP 50g and wanted a good way to write formulae in order to be readable by the calculator.
Googling, I found a tool called WinHP (as you might guess, only for Windows, but works with wine).
The problem is that WinHP is not well-suited to work with the keyboard and you have to use the mouse to click on symbols.
I kept googling and found no tool to write LaTeX formulae and then convert them into an HP 50g readable format, so I tried to do it myself.
It works the following way:
You write a file with one formula per line, execute this program with the file as a parameter, and you get a grob file with all formulae.
An example file:
Wave Length:
\lambda=\frac{v_p}{f}
Quadratic Equation:
ax^2+bx+c=0
Solution:
x=\frac{-b\pm\sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}
As you can see, it is optimized for typing less, so you needn't write a formula between $. It also replaces "(" with "\left(" and ")" with "\right)"
I hope you find it useful. Feel free to modify the script to suit your needs: add more search and replace rules, delete some...
Advantadges:
No mouse needed to type formulae
It runs on Linux natively
The output format is a native HP 50g format, so no need of external libraries
Disadvantadges:
Files are bigger than WinHP's ones
It only runs on linux...

I haven't tried it with HP 48, but the grob file is a very simple way of encoding a bitmap, so it should work by default.
Are the gifs generated properly?
What I do is place it on the SD card, select it and press on "View" from the HP menu, I suppose it works more or less the same for HP 48.

I have a string value that stores data like 'NYK,IND,SGP,GER'
FOR EXAMPLE
V_CITY_CODE = 'NYK,IND,SGP,GER'
When I query
select * from city where city_code = V_CITY_CODE;I get no rows, this is because V_CITY_CODE has all city code as single code.
I need a function to search , and replace with ','.
I tried using instr and replace but was unable to convert it.
could some one pls assist me.

I finished making an animated .gif image in FireWorks. My question is, how do I convert it into video so that when I edit video, that every video editing program recognizes it? Long story short, How do I convert animated .gif files into video formats?

I worked in Adobe FireWorks to make the animated .gif. What program do I use to convert the file from .gif to any video format: .mp4, .m4v, .avi, .wmv, etc. I want to convert it into video format, so that QuickTime Player plays the video, I can insert it into iMovie '11 and edit, and also insert it into Final Cut Pro X and edit video.

The camera used to film the class was a Panasonic AG-HMC40P, owned by a local cable TV station; they use Kodak video encoding software, and a SD card was used to store the video. The file extension is .mts, and the mime file is MPEG 2 transport. He said I probably need an AVCHD converter, and the Mac app store lists 8 of those options, 4 free and 4 for up to $9.99. He said I'll also need a converter for later plans of posting on YouTube or on the website, and while some of those in the app store might work for the later needs, he knows one app called "Compressor" that would work for the uploading later. He also suggested I could try renaming the .mts file to .MP2T, but he wasn't sure that would work.
They don't work with Macs at the studio, but I had thought I could have some lessons there in editing, and apply what I learned to my iMac and iMovie.
First, though, I have to be able to see it and review it!

While downloading an eBook from internet, I found a book in a folder containing around 123 files, which is equivalent to the number of pages of the book.

A blob would be a byte-array, which you can use in the String(byte[]) constructor

Not sure what you mean by "tried to use Word". ExportPDF doesn't change what Word can do. Can you explain what you try and what happens in more detail?

Our division is digitizing it's files, and we've been using
Adobe Acrobat 5.0 (2). We've 'scanned-in' several hundred
documents, but they have been saved as .pdf files (which are
currently not 'searchable', as they are only scanned images).
We just received the Adobe Acrobat Capture 3.0 program, and
we were told that we would be able to scan-in any new documents and
save them both as .pdf and OCR documents (Optical Character
Recognition). Therefore, we were told, we would be able to search
through the body of the document, using OCR, and not just through
the document filename, as we had been doing before.
HOWEVER, we don't know how to use this new OCRing program.
Also, we don't know how to convert the .pdf documents which we've
already scanned into OCR recognizable documents.
Is someone able to assist us here in this forum?
