Uhh ... i am getting a stream of int from an InputStream and I want to display them as letters ... they are ASCII values ... can I do this ? feel dumb ...

Yup ... you sure can ... start reading the API with the String class and pay particular attention to the section on ASCII conversion.

Convert from int to byte in JavaScript

I have a small piece of code in Java,

I'd like to convert this to JavaScript form and that means, I want to be able to get the exact answer from this code which is -40. How do I do that?

Converting from Int/Double to Wording Format

Does anyone has any sample program to convert double values into wording (this functionality is used to convert currency value) up to Trillion value.
For eg: 1000.90 One thousand And Ninety Cents
I have written a program which can accept up to 1 Billion. This is because that 'int' can accept bits up to that level only. I am unsure how go beyond that because when I declare the type to double, the compiler gave me the same error.

but, everytime when i run the code, i always get the ERROR.
is the value that i got, cannot be converted to int?

This code converts an integer to a byte[], but you have to consider the byte order:

Trying to convert a int back to a textfield - help

Okay this is what I want. I want to type a number in a TextField and double it.... So lets say I type in 10, it will output 20.. But I cant seem to get it to work. The integer won't change it back to a textfield usable text thing .. any help? And yes, i'll admit, its for school, not really for marks, but just to learn.. Theres like 10 of them. And I've been trying to get it to work for awhile, and I ain't asking for coding, or cheating. I'm just asking for help :)

How to avoid the dialogue when converting from context menu

This is a follow-up to http://forums.adobe.com/message/2016146#443364 which was locked due to a bug.
i would like to know how i can avoid the 'save as' dialogue when using the context menu to convert a word file to pdf using windows XP/acrobat 8/word 2007.
so far, it always prompts me for the filename, which is annoying as it does not allow me to batch-convert several files and let the thing run its course.
the solution provided by Steve in the other thread does not work - even if the plugin from word does not propt for a filename, it still does when triggered from explorer/context menu.
so back to square one: how to avoid that dialogue when not opening word at all?

For a permanent change, START>PRINTERS>right click on Adobe PDF printer and select properties>General>Printing Preferences>Adobe PDF Settings. Under the settings tab, uncheck the box related to asking for a name. Pretty sure that is the location, but it may vary with version.

Problems when converting from pdf to word

I am a translator and I get most of my work in pdf files. So I convert the pdfs into words to be able to change the text and edit. However, when dcuments are converted from pdf to word I have found they become very unstable and difficult to work with to the point I usually end up not using the coverted file. Is there any place I can go for training about what to do with those documents? Can anyone relate to this problem?

Perhaps I am expecting too much from Adobe ExportPDF. The reason I subscribed to this service, for which I pay a yearly fee, was that I need a way to convert scanned and digital documents to Word &/or Excel. I read the link you included but to be candid the more I tried to understand what was written the more confused I got. The process should not be this difficult. Currently I am using a NEAT scanner to create PDF documents of whatever I scan. After I changed the OCR setting on Adobe ExportPDF the output was much better but not to the point it was usable as it was. Information that appears to be lines and columns are sometimes not recognizing two columns and just putting them together in one. Obviously not usable. The other thing it does is bunch numbers that appear in a column that are just a bunch of numbers that I have no way of fixing.
Please let me speak to someone who can help me. Right now I not getting anything of value in my paid subscription.
