Convert html-post to JAVA-post?

Hello everybody,
unfortunately I am not a java programmer.
Is it possible to convert the following html-post into JAVA code?
<html><head>
<body>
  <form action="http://myserver" method="post">
    <p>Interface Namespace<br>
    <input name="namespace" value="http://mum.mappings" size="40"></p>
    <p>(Sender-) Service:<br>
    <input name="service" value="MUMHTTP" size="40"></p>
    <p>Interface Name:<br>
    <input name="interface" value="MI_Merge_1" size="40"></p>
    <p>Text:<br>
    <textarea name="Text" rows="5" cols="50"></textarea></p>
    <p><input type="submit" value="Send"></p>
  </form>
</form>
</body>
</head>
</html>
For me it is important to send the values of the <input> values.
How has the code look like?
Many regards, mario

mario,
this is possible if you use something like HttpClient
check
http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/httpclient/
for more details.
here are few examples of using httpclient for posting data

    Just saw this topic on the forum,
    For each web crawlers the web sites maintain a file called Robots.txt which can be assessed by : http://www.google.co.uk/robots.txt
    You would see following on that file :
    User-agent: *
    Allow: /searchhistory/
    Disallow: /search
    Disallow: /groups
    which means that crawlers are not allowed to scrap this site on search, due to which our code wasnt working
    Thanks

    Hi Srinivas,
    I have the same issue with Form submit using Java HTTP adapter.
    It would be great if you can share your java mapping code or advise what should be the outcome of java mapping?
    Should the result of java mapping be some kind of XML payload or some html code ?
    Many Thanks,
    Kind Regards

  • Generate a HTML POST url and open the page.

    Hello,
    I need to generate a HTML POST url with 4 parameters.
    I tried like this.
    String URLtobeOpened = "<url>?param1=val1&param2=val2&param3=val3&param4=val4";
              HttpServletResponse resp = request.getServletResponse(true);
              try {
                   resp. sendRedirect(URLtobeOpened);
              } catch (IOException e1) {
                   // TODO Auto-generated catch block
                   e1.printStackTrace();
    This is showing me a login prompt, instead of directly logging me in.
    Also when I checked using HTTPWatch, the request is showing as a GET, but I need it as a POST.
    How to code it in the right way.
    Thanks

  • Generate html post request from form9i applet

    I need to interact with a 3rd party credit card processing server form my form9i application.I need to create a html post request with all the input information encapsulated in it and also receive the http response and parse it and display an alert in the form(approved or rejected).Can I do that?
    any answer is going to help me greatly
    Sathi

    GET method may be the easier way. web.show_document('your_url?v1=123&v2=abc'); as of POST method, I guess you need JSP to do it, but how to do it from applet, I like to know too.
    getting back info, I used perl to read the html POST data on web server, then perl parses it and writes to a file on server, then use text_io or utl_file to read data into webform applet fields.
    The drawback I found that the cursor will not get back to webform applet from html pages. I tried to print every possible Javascript methods to wake up it, but it cannot get it.

  • Solutions for converting HTML to PDF programatically?

    to start off i should say that i am rather new to programming in java.
    here's what i am attempting to do.
    i need to write a java class that will get an HTML string as input... and needs to spit out a PDF file (or outputstream) as output. i have spent the last week or trying to accomplish this using XSL-FO and the FOP library. this solution does not work too well because XSL-FO and FOP do not handle complex table layouts very well (since they require the number of columns and column widths to be known in advance). it seems that FOP (and XSL-FO) is better suited to handling structured XML input... not something unstructured and complex as HTML.
    are there any other libraries/APIs that are out there that are specifically well suited to HTML -> PDF conversion?
    remember this needs to be done programatically, and will probably be invoked as a webservice.
    thanks,
    vivek

    #1 There are definite copyright issues with your
    software. Before you go live with anything like this,
    make sure you're not gonna get reamed.Ehh? I didn't see anything from the OP's question that implied this. Yes, if he uses it to mine commercial web sites and convert them to PDF's there's a problem, but aside from that, where's the danger?
    #2 The PDF part is the easy part. As the other poster
    said, lowagie iText can do PDF. The rendered HTML is
    a much bigger question. The smaller issue is that web
    pages are defined to fit your browser window, so
    you've got to choose a size. The much tougher problem
    is finding a decent HTML renderer in Java. In truth,
    I don't think there is one; JEditorPane is a piece of
    ****, and opera is really not a lot better. Not at all. The OP specifically mentioned web services, so we don't need to assume that Swing is involved. You can, using a 3rd party library (google for java pdf), have a servlet or jsp render its output as a PDF document.

  • How to convert html file to master file in sharepoint branding

    How to convert HTML file to master file in SharePoint branding Programmatically

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you want to convert HTML file to master file.
    You can use Design Manager to achieve it.
    On STEP 4 Edit Master Pages and clicked on the option at the top to
    Convert an HTML file to a SharePoint master page.
    Once completed, make sure the Status is set to Conversion Successful
    For more information, please refer to:

  • Converting HTML to XML

    Does any one know if there is a
    plug-in for HomeSite to convert HTML documents to XML
    documents? This would save alot instead of buying another program
    that does this. Because Adobe just finished a online tutorial on
    how to use AJAX which made it very easy. Now I need to switch my
    HTML docs to XML.
    PG

    In my previous post I have added a singleton tag img with the closing of it.
    Normally the tags which are singleton tags in HTML can beclosed by using /> at the ned of the tag
    Like following:
    <img src="abcd.gif" />
    <input type="button" />
    However, I agree with your point about Quotes. In HTML it is not mandatory to put quotes around a value.
    But if it is possible then you  can make it a habit to put quotes around all the HTML attribute values.
    [This is also a standard practice]

  • Help! How to convert an instance from java.lang.Object to a particula class

    * How to convert an instance from java.lang.Object class to a particular class
    witch is known only at the running time?
    Roster EJB component is make up of RosterHome, Roster and RosterBean.
    RosterHome is the home interface of Roster EJB.
    Roster is the remote interface of Roster EJB.
    RosterBean is the implement of Roster EJB.
    The following code segment is to invoke Roster EJB component.
    String jndiName="roster.RosterHome";
    javax.naming.Context initial = getInitialContext();//getInitialContext() returns a instance of Context.
    Object objref = initial.lookup(jndiName);
    RosterHome home =
    (RosterHome)javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject.narrow(objref,
    RosterHome.class);
    Roster myRoster = home.create();
    String team="T1"
    String player="Tom"
    myRoster.addPlayer(player,team);
    But, now, all the home interface, the remote interface and the JNDI Name of
    Roster EJB component are not been known at the compiling time. However They are
    known at the running time, throught reading from the XML config file.
    Questions:
    1,How to write code for this case ? or
    2,How to convert an instance from Object class to a particular class witch is known
    only at the running time?
    String jndiName="roster.RosterHome";// in fact, reads from XML file.
    String homeClassName="roster.RosterHome";// in fact, reads from XML file.
    String remoteClassName="roster.Roster";// in fact, reads from XML file.
    javax.naming.Context initial = getInitialContext();//getInitialContext() returns a instance of Context.
    Object objref = initial.lookup(jndiName);
    Object objHome= javax.rmi.PortableRemoteObject.narrow(objref,
    Class.forName(homeClassName));
    /* how to do next?
    }

    I am not sure what you are trying to do. But at some point you should know which methods to call on the remote interfaces. Maybe the method names are stored in the XML file as well or you have a set of standard method names (also consider parameters).
    However, this can be solved by reflection. Look at the java.lang.reflect package, especially java.lang.reflect.Method, and also at java.lang.Class.
    If you are doing this on the app server:
    I've seen posts where people say that reflection is not permitted in EJB, but I don't think so. Check the EJB spec.
    If you are doing this in an application: reflection is always permitted. Probably also in applets and JSP.

  • I-text for saving html files using java

    hi,
    i'm writng a small application and it has some report generation part based on some html templates.
    These templates have some images which are given the relative path in the html template files.
    when i generate my reports they generated and save in some other location and the thing is quite naturally all the image files are missing. can anyone help me to overcome this problem??
    thanks in advance.

    If you are using Windows take a look at what Internet explorer does when you save a web page
    If the files is save as MyFile.htm the browser will create a folder called MyFile_Files and store all the images there. and it will modify the code of the html file to refer those images.
    I think that you will have to do the same.
    Or
    Find some API which can convert HTML page in to PDF and save PDF then you will get a one file with everything in it. I think that is a better solution.
    But the way If you found such an API dont foget to post here about it . I have the same problem and I dont like the solution one
